This was by far the most amazing service at a restaurant I can think of. My twin brother is special needs, the waitress acknowledged him and actually spoke to him. Not many restaurants actually acknowledge him or speak to him. Thank you! The food is delicious. I tried some of the seafood sampler. I had the catfish with mashed potatoes.

I may be a bit biased, but this place never disappoints !!!!! Had an awesome breakfast - now back for dinner to try their infamous Pork Chop, great food, great atmosphere. When you visit Winter Park, Colorado - FONTENOTS is a MUST DO for breakfast - lunch - dinner !!!

We went here for my birthday dinner. The waitress/part owner was very kind and attentive to us even though she was the only one there to start. The chicken fried chicken was killer and she gave a birthday dessert 🎂. Cute, clean and kind service!

They initially brought us bread and the bread was simply delicious. My wife and I both got the special which was redfish pan fried with 2 butterfly shrimp in a lemon caper sauce, mashed potatoes and vegetables and it was fantastic. It greatly exceeded my expectation. I give it my highest rating.

Wow, just wow! I rarely order a steak that I don't end up regretting; that was not the case here. Probably the best steak I've had in years! The service was great and the atmosphere was fun. If I ever come back to Colorado, I'm going to go out of my way to eat here again. I ordered the ribeye with grilled shrimp; and My friend ordered the Cajun combo. Perfectly cooked!

Stumbled across this on a web search for dinner. It did not disappoint. Food, drinks and service were all fabulous. Our server Sue was amazing with great recommendations and friendly, attentive service. Chili scallops and seasonal catfish dinner were spectacular accompanied with a Tommy margarita wished we had room for appetizers and dessert! We will definitely visit again next time we're in the area!

The food is super great quality (ribeyes aged in house over 50 days), service is fantastic, super clean, great atmosphere and Shawn and his wife are there to help you with it all! I grew up on Louisiana cuisine my family cooked and Fontenot's makes me feel like I am down south when my fork touches my mouth...😋

Great food and service! The calamari appi was awesome!! The steaks were cooked to perfection and the seafood selection was great! The friendliness of staff could improve, but hopefully it was just a rough day and not typical. Our server had no time for chit-chat, it was order, be done, see ya!

My boyfriend and I are staying in Winter Park for a couple months and wanted to ready ourselves to a nice dinner! We love that Fontenot's has a big outside patio area and appreciate their new COVID-19 systems and precautions they're taking. The staff are wearing masks, keeping their distance, and are keeping their customers at least 6 feet apart, if not farther. When we went it was nearly 4p. Their Happy Hour starts at 4p. There was only 1 other couple on the deck far away from us. We had some nicely priced cocktails and I had the most delicious crab shrimp cake po boy!!! Their cajun fries are so delicious too! My boyfriend had cornmeal fried catfish which was good but not super impressive compared to mine since mine had so much flavor compared to his. Overall great experuence, tasty food and tasty drinks!

Went there first time with family during ski trip. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and good food! Tried the Zucchini Fritters and Calamari for starters. Then had Kobe Beef Burger and BBQ Shrimp with Blackened Mahi Mahi. Added a cup of gumbo too. All excellent! I was already pushing it but wanted to try their Bread Pudding (being special). It was phenomenal! Definitely coming back.

This is the Cajun spot in Winter Park. Hubby was craving some good ol’ southern food, specifically fried catfish. We started with an order of the fried okra. I ordered the fried cod fish sandwich and hubby ordered the fried catfish & coleslaw. Also ordered a cup of gumbo (tomato based) to sample. Everything was pretty authentic and yummy. The fried okra and the cajun fries were the star for me.

Came in on Saturday before Christmas for dinner with a group of 5 around 5:40 pm. We were able to walk in and be seated immediately. No wait and it didn't seem like there were many people. We were able to order our food quickly and our appetizer and drinks came quickly. We got the dynamite shrimp appetizer and it was delicious. Our food was pretty slow to come.... 30 minutes. We ordered two specials (parmesan and andouille crusted red fish), a ravioli, a kids quesadilla, and a kids pasta and meatball meal. Most of the food came at the 30 minute mark but the pasta and meatball meal came 5-7 minutes later. It's unfortunate because the kids need the longest time to eat. The flavor of the food was spot on. The special was delicious. The only problem was you could tell the food sat at the pass for a bit. The perimeter of everything was cold while everything else was warm. I'm also disappointed in one of the kids meals coming later by a decent n amount than the rest of the meals. With that being said, the flavors were spot on... I just wish things arrived promptly and without sitting on the pass for longer than necessary. I mean, if you are going to spend a lot of money on seafood in the mountains, then you want it to be warm all the way around and have everything arrive at the same time.

Reservation is highly recommended otherwise you need to go before 5:30pm to be seated without waiting. They can get busy during weekends. 🌟🌟🌟ribeye: flavored perfectly but a little overcooked. I recommend ordering a level down. For example, if you eat medium, order medium rare. 🌟🌟daily special: red fish prepared Oscar style. The hollandaise sauce is perfect. Fish is too small given the price. 🌟🌟🌟 Fried catfish: good portion but breading is too thick 🌟🌟🌟 Seafood sampler: a variety of popular appetizers. It's very similar to fried catfish so I'd choose one:) 🌟🌟🌟 Cajun sampler: decent. Sauce is good. Service is awesome. They were extremely busy the night we visited but the lady managed to keep everyone happy and patient.

The food was delicious but our sever was very rude. There was a malfunction with the machine when I went to pay and I thought I had already tipped so when I went to pay the rest of what I owed I thought my tip was already accounted for so I had clicked skip on the device. After paying she rudely said “so no tip then huh” “ that’s how I make a living” I said it was an accident and thought I had already tipped. I felt embarrassed and humiliated. I get that tips are great but it’s not fair to your customers.
