stopped by for early dinner and we were amazed at the quality of everything! we ordered a cemita, tacos de birria, and chilaquiles. everything was sooooo incredibly delicious. i especially loved that they make their bread in house so it’s always super fresh. staff was friendly and so accommodating. this is definitely a woodside gem! can’t wait to try their other dishes as well

Hidden gem in Queens! This spot bakes their own bread fresh in house for their cemitas and tortas. One of the best cemitas we’ve had in NY. Also loved their chilaquiles, cafe de olla and aguas frescas. Everything tasted fresh and homemade.

The cemita was excellent, with all the essential ingredients—papalo, plenty of cheese, and fresh-baked bread. The freshness and flavor of the ingredients really stood out. If authentic Mexican cheese could be incorporated in the future, it would take the cemita to an even higher level. The chips are absolutely delicious! I will definitely be returning for more. 😋

This hidden gem may be small and cozy, but the food is the closest thing I’ve found in NYC to true California-style Mexican diner food. The sopes were absolutely incredible—hands down the best I’ve had in the city. Just the right size and texture, with authentic, flavorful toppings. Everything tasted fresh and felt like it was made with genuine care and love. The prices are incredibly reasonable, and the service is warm and friendly—exactly what you hope for in a neighborhood spot. Honestly, anyone giving this place less than 4 or 5 stars is probably just a miserable person who wouldn’t be happy anywhere. This place deserves all the love! Next time I go I might ask for a spicer salsa. :)

Absolutely best torta/ceminta I've had in NYC. The pollo asada Ceminta (5/5) was a perfect combination of fresh cheesy Oaxaca cheese, Chile, perfectly grilled chicken, and creamy avocado. It really was absolutely delicious. The chilaqueles (5/5) were also delicious: packed with cheese, ultra tasty sauce, avocado, and eggs. Highly recommend this place: I'm so surprised it hasn't gotten much traction yet.

After recently trying this spot, I really appreciate that the bread is made in-house✨ you can taste the difference. As someone who loves quesillo in my cemitas, I really appreciate how generous they are with it. Everything tastes fresh, even the chips with tajín, which are such a good touch. I also really enjoy their quesabirrias, and the service during my visit was friendly and attentive.

We had the bistec cemitas, potato chips, and horchata. Food was delicious. Everything we got was a 10/10 will be going back!

Blown away by the chicken Milanese cemita, portion is huge for the price and it’s also delicious. It seems crowded inside because it’s a small place (four tables) but they got the orders out very quick.

Pros: *Ordered the chicken burrito, pretty solid. Proportions of meat, cheese, rice were good. Medium size burrito. Cons: *Customers who arrived after me were asked if they wanted a table and seated immediately but they did bother to check if I wanted a table. Server walked by me multiple times until I had to prompt her for a table. When I asked her why she didn't check if I wanted a table as well since she did for the other party, she seemingly tried to downplay it and didn't really offer a reason. *They were out of quesadillas, have never had that happened at a restaurant. I have had places run out of certain type of meat but not all quesadillas. Overall: Solid burrito with good options on menu but wouldn't visit again do to unfortunate service issues, it's important that all customers are treated the same.

It looks good but is not ordered cemita milanesa with ham and all I got was cheese veggies 2 slices ham and a very thing slice chicken you can’t even taste , Mariachi a restaurant down the block is better

I got home and one still had raw meat and was not fully cooked, another had hair in the cheese. I am very disappointed in my experience and feel that it was not worth it. Edit: Owner reached out after I emailed them and asked me to take this review down after offering a refund. Beyond disappointed.
