They have great quality sushi and sashimi and always willing to substitute according to your taste but if you're looking for large portions and a cheap deal..not the place for you. Their house sake is superb and their rolls are immaculate. Service is great and kept clean. Spicy mango shrimp roll and the yellowtail jalapeño rolls are my fave! Enjoy!

I was there tonight taking my Daughter and her Mother out for my Daughter's Birthday dinner and Wow! I was really impressed with this place. The food was delicious, the service was great and the atmosphere was comfortable and classy and very clean. A great variety of sushi and sashimi dishes on the menu. The portions are also really nice! I was so full when we left! I would recommend the Fried Calamari, nothing like what I'd had before at any restaurant. The sushi was so fresh and tasty! Just can't say enough good things about Matsui!

Called in to order their lunch special that they do daily until 3:30pm. Picked up in about 10 minutes and ordered a sushi roll too during pick up which took only a couple of minutes. A short walk from the woodside train. Prices are good, indoor dining is available, pick up was quick and employees were nice!

Matsuri was absolutely wonderful! We got the Dinner Bento Box (one with chicken teriyaki, teriyaki steak, and chicken katsu). Delicious! Wonderful service.

Best sushi I've had in a while. The location is quintessential Queens under the train station on a bustling corner. All three dishes we ate were delicious with the Matsuri Roll the star. Full bar with some decent beer selection.

I’m new to the neighborhood and have already been here three times: two takeouts and one dine-in. I usually get the Salmon or Steak Bento Box for $14, and the portions are generous. It honestly feels like stepping back into a pre-COVID time when meals were still affordable. The bento comes with a California roll, two imitation scallops as a side, a large slice of grilled salmon or steak, and a mix of grilled vegetables underneath. You also get soup and salad. Everything tastes great, and at this price, I have no complaints. For dine-in, the pricing is just as reasonable. I ordered the Tricolor Sashimi for $22, which came with nine fresh, high-quality pieces. The service was quick and flexible, and the servers were attentive. I left feeling satisfied and happy to pay the tip and the bill.

I recently stopped by Matsuri, a cozy Japanese restaurant located in Woodside, New York, for a quick bite, and I was thoroughly impressed. I started with two appetizers. Feels a lot like I'm in Tokyo here. Service was fast, sushi was excellent & I tried Ramune for the first time. It was not too busy since it was toward dinner and a rainy day. It felt like an authentic Japanese atmosphere & the waiter was friendly. If I have another opportunity to eat here I will invite friends. They gave me a lot more Sushi then I expected for the price.

Excellent restaurant, friendly and quick staff, good food and really great prices for the quality. The miso soup was fantastic as well but I didn't get a picture. The sushi rice was a little too seasoned for my tastes but otherwise 0 complaints, and I would hands down recommend

Love the food and the atmosphere of this place. The staff was really friendly and helpful. There is a great selection of items on the menu. So most likely you will find what you like and want. I like how their menu has pictures of the food. Highly recommend this place for Japanese food lovers or someone who never try or been to one.

Friendly, affordable. Super close to train. It's pretty clean and has one of the better outdoor cafe areas of any bar in Woodside. This is a good place to meet your friends coming in on 7 train or LIRR. Queens local vibe

The staff is always pleasant and accomodating and donuts are always fresh even late at night. The coffee could be better, I don't know if it's because of the water or the styrofoam cups, but it does not taste the same as in the city.

Ninja rolls very spicy!!🔥 Still as busy as ever!!!!🍣 Amendment: Saturday evening, October 25th. I tried the soft shell crab and my usual go to the Ika Maruyaki! Both were excellent!!!

I recently dined at Matsuri Restaurant and had a delightful experience. The ambience is pleasant and welcoming, providing a comfortable setting for a meal (4/5). The service was exceptional, with attentive and friendly staff who made sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit (5/5). The food was outstanding. The Spicy Edamame was perfectly seasoned, hitting just the right notes. The Calamari was a highlight – crispy on the outside and tender inside, paired wonderfully with the provided sauce. We also tried the Hibachi with chicken and salmon. While it was flavorful, it wasn't quite to my taste, though others may enjoy it more. The standout dish for me was the Angry Dragon Roll. This tempura roll, with its blend of cheese or cream, was simply delicious and perfectly executed. Overall, Matsuri Restaurant offers an excellent dining experience with top-notch service and fantastic food. Highly recommended!

First time trying a new Japanese Style Sushi Retaurant. It's conveniently located downstairs from the 7 Train's 61st Street - Woodside Station. It was busy even after we showed up past the lunch hour rush. We were still able to get the bento box lunch specials and ordered a few extra sushi rolls and a fried green tea ice cream to finish our meal. It was alot of rice and will fill you up. The food was good overall with competitive pricing.

It stopped in with a friend to grab a drink and maybe get a quick bite to eat. They don't serve any food (I'm only assuming that because the bartender never approached us) so we left.

Quintessential neighborhood bar. If you're looking for something more than around seven mediocre taps and sports on cheap tvs, look elsewhere. The bartenders are lovely and welcoming in my experience.

Food here is always great. Been ordering here a lot since i live near here. Ordered for delivery for dinner tonight and this is the first time EVER in my life to have bone in my sushi.

This was Uber eats. The chicken was undercooked. My avocado cucumber roll was frozen solid. You can literally see the ice caps on top. Worst of all I had hair in my egg fried rice. As you can tell the hair ended up in my mouth and came right back out with throw up. I've never been so horrified and disgusted by food in my life. Money down the drain and I pray I don't get sick. This is unreal. Update. I had food poisoning /diarrhea for two days and the owner responds and apologizes and says they will improve there service. No attempt to offer to fix the issue or refund my money. It's nice that your gonna improve the service but what about me and my stomach? I literally loved this restaurant and have spent thousands of dollars here within the past few years. I am highly disappointed. There is no true compassion for the customers and you guys cannot be trusted with people's lives if your serving food like this.
