The Happy Viking is an excellent sports bar atmosphere restaurant. Very good food, I ordered the Viking Club with Blue cheese fries. All were delicious. Pretty good prices for the amount of food you receive.

A must if you are looking for a beer and some food. The have around 100 beers on tap with great food special. If you are an NFL fan ever game is on and wings on special on Sundays. Staff is always nice and helpful. Lines can get long but worth the wait.

Love this place 💯 The atmosphere is inviting and fun. The crew is amazing! They are so friendly and knowledgeable. The food is freaking delicious 😋🤤 Fried pickles are my favorite 💯🥒😊 the pickle beer that I had last time I was there was super bomb as well. Sounds weird but it is a must taste!

Great atmosphere & service. Family party. Not really impressed with the appetizer food but it was happy hour. Pizza was good & beer choices were delicious.

We had a Philly cheesesteak and garlic fries, and three piggy burger which has pepper jack cheese, Canadian bacon, bacon, and fried pork with 8oz Angus beef patty and blue cheese fries. The service was great very friendly waiter, the food was amazing. I give it 10 ⭐. I go here often it's my favorite place in Yuba City

My friends introduced me to this place a few years back. Ever since then, I have been going every few months because I love the food so much! Every other time I go there, I get the Monster burger and it's delicious every time.

Being one of the few restaurants that was open the day after Christmas, there was a long wait. We ran errands and were texted when our table was ready. It was worth the wait! Ribeye was excellent.

Was just passing through the area and asked a local where I could find the best chicken wings. Ordered a 6 piece lemon pepper w/ ranch and was absolutely blown away. BEST wings I've had on the west coast. All the servers were polite and the customers were friendly. Everyone should visit this establishment.

Jessica W. was our waitress. She handled our loud needy croud of 15 Ammo Troops very well! The wings are on point and the nachos were filling. All the drinks came out on time and there was well over 40 of them. I would recommend this place for your friends, family, and work gatherings. Shout out to Butch the badass dog! I.Y.A.A.Y.A.S. Great busy atmosphere. Friendly from the gate. Lots of TVs. Clean bathroom. Our server, Jessie was super friendly. She was ON IT! I saw her bussing 3 tables at a time. We ordered wings and she had many suggestions on the flavors. We chose spicy garlic and the Viking sauces. Get those FO SHO. Didn’t get the host’s name, but I saw him bustin’ it too. We don’t usually hang out at busy shopping areas, but glad we came. Didn’t finish it all, but I grabbed a to go box. Can’t let these wings go to waste.

One of our favorite places, they have the best wings we have ever had! The staff is the best and they can make just about any drink you want and have a huge beer selection. Plus the atmosphere is great.

We came in for lunch right at opening today with our two wild kids, and our server was so kind and patient the whole time. We asked for our check and boxes early because the kids were being a bit much, and she totally understood. She even helped us box everything up and made us feel really taken care of. Great service and such a welcoming attitude, we really appreciated it!

I have been visiting the Viking for over a decade. If you are looking for the best wings you will ever have in your entire life, you need to try their wings. Their pizza bones are fantastic, and so is their buffalo chicken salad. You are seated quickly, order taken promptly, and food comes out in a reasonable time. Their staff is always kind, and try their best to spark up genuine conversation.

Great staff, delicious food. M-F happy hour 3-6pm with $5 appetizers and drink specials!

The food here was delicious! The customer service was definitely on point. Our server was very friendly and attentive. She let us know the specials up front, which I always appreciate. The atmosphere on a Monday afternoon was a pretty chill vibe and I like it. I will definitely be back.

Love this place - so much so that we came 3x in 1 week on vacation! Cocktails were a bit sweet, so i'd skip those. Huge menu, yummy food, great rotating selection of beers, and a good value for what you get. Service was super friendly in a lively sports bar atmosphere. We tried apps, salads, soups, steak, pasta, sandwiches, and fish and chips; all were excellent, but be sure to try the spinach and artichoke dip with fresh fried chips.!

Over the years it has been a consistent go-to for casual food, spirits, and sports. Very friendly staff, casual seating, reasonable prices, large selection of spirits, mellow atmosphere. Parking is Plumas Street and adjoining lots. Safe streets patrolled regularly by YCPD keeps the riff raff at bay. At night Plumas Street sparkles, trees festooned with fairy lights makes for a nice stroll after dinner.

Our local bicycle organization meets here twice a month. We come on Pint Night, Tuesdays which features a new brewery and craft beer for $2.00. It is limited and first come first serve but never disappoints. They have a big room for groups in the back that is private and very accommodating for bigger groups. The owners are fabulous people. This is the best "third location" in the area.

Happy Viking absolutely deserves all five stars! The food is incredible—fresh, flavorful, and consistently delicious every single time. You can tell they put real love and pride into every dish. But what really sets them apart is the exceptional service. The staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely cares about making sure you have a great experience. It’s rare to find a place where you feel welcomed the moment you walk in, but Happy Viking nails it every time. If you’re in Yuba City, you have to try this place. Amazing food, outstanding service, and a fun atmosphere. Highly, highly recommended! 🍔🍻🔥

Happy viking is always on the ball. If they make a mistake they own it and fix it. That makes me want to come back no doubt. The food service and drinks are hard to match 5 stars all around for this place. Give them a try if you haven't you won't regret it!

We had The Happy Viking cater our wedding, and it was wonderful! Chris and his team got the job done without any issues, and the presentation was top notch. 👌 I would hire recommend for your next event.

I visited this restaurant on a recommendation from a friend. The food here was pretty good. Apparently we did pick the wrong night to come here because not only was there a lot of games on the TVs but there was also a wedding event happening out back so the service this evening was pretty horrible. It took us almost an hour to get our food. Our server made many little mistakes and it was quite talkative. If the restaurant wasn't so busy then we would have welcomed to the conversation but we could imagine based on our experience that other tables were being neglected. To complete our evening, the police showed up to escort some rowdy people off the property. I can only say to anyone reading this that you should avoid taking your family here on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights to avoid the rougher sports bar crowds.

This place is huge with lots of big long wooden tables with a lot of bar stool tables too. The interior decorating was nicely done and showed off the aesthetic appeal of space and lighting. As you can see in my food photo the sandwich we received was mostly a giant slice of tomato with a tiny bit of meat in it. Not to happy about the meat portion, big did have lots of bun if you like bread. I will not order the prime rib sandwich again. The wait staff were just okay and not very friendly, They were very busy so I think that's what the problem was. I will go back again and try something else instead next time.

Overall this place was pretty good, burgers, pizza, Steakhouse. The food was good, and really good size portions, the American portion size 😂. The ribeye was good, ask for medium rare and got rare, borderline blue but it still wasn't bad. You get to choose two sides and it automatically comes with a salad and a roll. The atmosphere was nice, it's a bar, pub, restaurant. It is a little loud but that's what you get, it's not a bad atmosphere at all. And the service for being how busy they were they did very well. The Waitresses were hustling and we had a party of 20. They do not take reservations but they were able to help us out saving 3 tables. Overall definitely good experience would to go back for sure because we're not from yuba city but highly recommend!the prices are a little high but the portion size is also big so it does help! Per person you're spending no less then $30! So be prepared

Very good food, great staff, but it takes a very long time to get your food (which is why I give them just 4 stars). I was surprised at how long it took, given that the place wasn’t that busy. My wife got the chicken Mediterranean flatbread, very good with a lot of different things in it. You could really taste the lemon. It was almost too stuffed, she had to use a fork. I got the bbq bacon cheddar burger. The patty was VERY tasty. The “mound of chopped bacon” was a bit sparse, though. Both came with fries, which were very good. I would come back, there are a lot of options to explore on the menu, but I will make sure we have lots of time.

First off to start my review I would like to say the service was nice although it did take a little while to get the food of which we ordered wings. It was a combination of 2 different sauces as recommended for a very spicy flavor. The wings were good. Had decent flavors. It was rattle snake and barbarian and rattle snake and ruthless. Although they were cooked well the spice wasn't as high as I would like. Good overall though and if I lived in area or in area for some reason would come here again. They had football on and is kid friendly with an arcade area. Plenty of TV for the sports fans.

Service was good, great selection on the menu, slightly overpriced for the quality of food. I ordered the Reuben which came out fairly dry. The fries were cooked well. Overall, decent dining experience for a week night out.

Good food. If you order wings from the website and want buffalo you're supposed to pick classic if you want regular buffalo. All this while they have like 20 different other options. As if ordering carolina bbq flavor means they still toss it in buffalo sauce or something? They didnt think that one through. Good food though.

It takes forever to get in sometimes but Food is good!! The vibe is good but I'm going home after 10 lol It can get a lil rowdy, especially after a game 🤣

This restaurant shows a lot of promise, but it falls short in key areas. The service was painfully slow and disorganized, though I can’t fully blame our waitress—she was the only one working the entire floor, clearly stretched too thin. The food itself was underwhelming; it lacked flavor and didn’t live up to the price point. For what we paid, I expected a much better experience. With some improvements in staffing and seasoning, this place could shine, but as it stands, it’s a 5 out of 10.

Atmosphere is good sporty fun. Michelob ultra only skinny beer worth drinking on draft. Large and small. Cheeseburger is your average one. A foodie like me appreciates the crispy crunch of iceberg lettuce on my burger. Not the case here. Shredded bagged lettuce is easy to spot because of the weird aftertaste. It must be the preservatives in the bag to keep it fresh. Excellent bar service. Nice big, roomy table space and plenty of TVs to watch sports on. The menu has a ribeye that I will try the next time I come in with one of their red varietals of wine.

I had the Philly cheese steak sandwich which was burnt very bad but I was able to share a meal with my husband which was ok (I wanted what I ordered which is why it's just ok) they didn't charge me for my sandwich so definitely willing to try again

Happy hr. The wings are good.the fish tacos were not good ate 1/2 of one, yuk. The cheese bread was undercooked it was removed from the bill. But come on cook the food right thats all we want. One waitress was super slow but nice

I frequent this place, and everytime I go it’s always the same. Food is pretty good, but the service is always pretty bad at night. I never mind waiting for a table, but once I’m sat I don’t want to be waiting 30 minutes for an appetizer that ends up being cold. And another 20 after already paying for a togo dessert that I would assume is premade. I really do love the food here, but the service over the last few months has just really gone downhill unfortunately.

I was recommended this place to try out. 1st: we waited 5 min for the hostess to seat us. She was off “busy talking” 2 waitress came over and said asked if we had been helped. 2nd I got the beer special and 1/2 way through the beer a bug landed in my beer not their fault. 3rd I got the spicy chicken pasta: food presentation was 10/10 my wife wanted a bite so I gave her the one first, I looked down and there was a blonde hair in my food. :( neither of us are blondes. They remade the food and the pasta sauce was runny. I really wanted to like the dish but it just didn’t look the same. My wife’s pizza (buffalo chicken) the pizza had an overly beer flavor for the sauce on the chicken. Good: they apologized for the hair in the food, remade it quickly. They didn’t charge me for the beer. The service was good, my drinks stayed full and another server/ guy with his hat on backwards (I was assuming was the manager ) was really nice. The desert was EPIC: suicide Sundae definitely a 10/10. The appetizer: blue cheese fries: 10/10 definitely delicious. Just enough spice and. Great garlic flavor with not too much blue cheese. I really wanted to like the food. Once we were seated we had a great time plenty of games on the tv and the seating was good. I might give them a 2nd chance the blue cheese fries are pretty epic.

Well here we go 10$ for chilie Cheese fries and that was happy hour. The portion of food for the cost was embarrassing. If this is the portion for 10-15$ I would recommend going some where else. In N Out, Apple Bees, Mexican restaurant so many other choices.

Would not recommend the bacon cheddar burger. The burger was dry lacked flavor And for the price of $25 and their forced tip I would not recommend or go back again. I did get an online order which took 14 minutes longer than the Time it was to be done. I cant say how anything else is on the menu, But I can say the atmosphere was nice and the people seem nice. I will give them the benefit of the doubt that it seemed quite busy.

Definitely not the place it used to be. My wife and I visited last night, 1/20/26. We were seated quickly. When they came and took our drink order my wife ordered the Miami Vice and I ordered their unfiltered amber lager. At some point they came over and asked my wife if she wanted whipped cream on her Miami Vice and she said definitely not. My guess is that the drink was made and then they realized they hadn't asked if whipped cream was desired and they just scooped it off and tried to mix it in and it was obvious that's what they did because you could still see the whipped cream on the inside of the glass. My beer came and it tasted really stale. I drank about 1/3 of it and set it aside... We ordered the battered and fried artichoke hearts. When they came they were somehow burnt and cold. I'm not sure how that happens. For dinner my wife ordered the Vampire Killer pasta which is supposed to have a lot of garlic but tasted like it had very little. They used to offer clams with the pasta but have since discontinued that. That's the whole reason we visited because my wife wanted that specific dish. I ordered the philly cheese steak sandwich with a side salad. It came and I took one bite and it was warm but burnt. I've added photo's we took of the artichoke hearts. The photo of the cheese steak is from another review but mine looked just like it. I pushed it aside along with the beer after one burnt bite. Our waitress did apologize and asked if there was anything they could do and I said just take it off the bill. We paid for the drinks, the burnt artichoke hearts because we did eat them and my wife's pasta. I did leave 20% tip for her. This definitely isn't the place it used to be. After we left we went else where to get dinner for me.

Absolute worst experience i’ve ever had at a restaurant. my family loves this place but this particular night is making us never return. we had a reservation for 6:00 and got there right then and were seated immediately. it takes 40 minutes to order drinks and then our waitress says she’ll be back to take our food order. yet she never came back… instead around 7:05(over an hour after we got there) a new waitress came around and said she’ll was taking over— i told we had been waiting over an hour to order our food and she was appalled and felt terrible. she immediately took our food order and was very on top of things. and yet things continued to go downhill. we then didn’t get our food till 8:15 over an hour after we ordered. and i get it the kitchen gets backed up but we were never told why things were taking so long. once we finally got our food it all looked like it was slapped together frantically and missing garlic fries and sauces. we finally had had it after we had been there over two hours and barely just got our food. so i ask to speak to the manager. the girl seemed super nervous and ran around looking for the manager. once we finally met the manager and expressed our concerns she did not care. i wasn’t looking for any compensation but simply wanted her to know how our table was handled this evening and get an apology. she seemed pissed off and didn’t even care just said okay and walked away, we never saw her again. the worst was that this was a birthday dinner and we told them three different times that we wanted the birthday girl to be sang to but that once again did not happen. honestly we couldn’t wait to get out of there, and finally get to our event an hour late. The service was absolutely terrible and without the manager giving one crap we definitely won’t be returning again.
