My wife and I just spent a night in the Cliffside Suites for our honeymoon. We had gotten engaged here 2 years prior and just needed to come back! The tranquility and peaceful quiet is unmatched. With the Cliffside Suites you get your own Kiva fireplace, large living space, kitchenette, and a private patio with your own private hotspring tub. As with most of Northern New Mexico, the still, clear night skies make for some of the best star viewing you can ask for. The private large soaking spring makes for less hassle and much more privacy makes for a perfect get away. We had a complimentary half bottle of sparkling wine for our honeymoon. The perfect romantic couples getaway with the best location Northern New Mexico has to offer. Restaurant is reasonably priced and the food is delicious!

Oh my lord. So relaxing. We got the day pass on a Saturday for the 9 pools, and oh wow, it was incredible. Just stunning landscapes, delightful hot water, and an overall relaxing vibe. The staff was also so friendly. Special shout-out to Justine at the front counter for answering all of our questions and helping us with a local resident discount. 10/10 would return.

This was my second visit and wow what an amazing experience. This is truly an oasis in the desert mountains! It is very fancy and resort like in a small town in the middle of nowhere. This resort has everything you could want in a hot springs spa experience. And the restaraunt and wine bar are fantastic as well. The restaraunt has unique farm to table southwestern inspired cuisine and has vegan, vegetarian and carnivore options. This is a destination every time im in this area!

Lovely experience! I did not stay in the hotel, but I paid for a “day pass” for the springs! Prices are different for weekdays and weekends, and they have a military discount. For less than $45, you get access to an assigned locker (operated with a wristband), fresh towels, showers, a mud pool, steam room, dry sauna, and several hot spring pools which has different minerals and properties (such as iron, soda, arsenic, etc). The hotel does have their own restaurant, but guests are allowed to bring their own snacks but must be eaten in the courtyard outside of the pool areas. I’ve been here in July and late October, both were great experiences but it was obviously preferable in colder weather.

Visited Ojo Caliente for the day so can’t speak to the accommodations. The midweek day pass is $45 for unlimited soaking (from 10am to 10pm). Ojo is one of the oldest natural hot springs in the country, dating back to 1868, and the mineral mix really does make each pool feel different. You get a locker and a tiny towel (bring your own robe unless you enjoy paying extra to look like everyone else). I started with the Iron Pool, where the water bubbles up through a pebble floor and leaves a faint metallic scent, then floated in the quiet Soda Pool, enclosed and steamy enough to fog your thoughts into stillness. The Arsenic Pool was my favorite since its the hottest at 104°, supposedly good for skin and joint pain. But the Lithia Pool was also nice and warm .. and is meant to calm anxiety and lift your mood. The Mud Pool is exactly what it sounds like: slather with mud (kind of runny) then bake in the sun and eventually rinse off. It was surprisingly fun and oddly cleansing. But best of all was watching everyone get confused about how to do it and be too damn proud to read the sign or ask for help 🤣🤦‍♀️ During the day I grabbed a $19 (but decent) falafel wrap at the café on site, then hiked the Posi Ouinge trail behind the resort. It leads onto BLM land dotted with cholla cactus and pottery shards from ancient Pueblo sites … a quiet, humbling contrast to the luxury of the pools. The gift shop was also decent and not ridiculously overpriced.

What a neat experience. Love everything about this place. Our room in the historic lodge was tinyyy but I suppose I should’ve known better when booking— darn those wide-angle lenses making everything look bigger than it is! The people working at both the check-in counter and the other counter (where you check in for spa treatments) were all very hard to hear/understand, due to either noise, rapid talking, or extremely soft-spoken. The check in process for the spa treatments was not clear and confusing. The grounds and springs make up for all of that. Great visit and would love to come again some day.

We went to the mineral springs for a day use only. Prices were reasonable for what resort had to offer. Pools were 102 degrees except to one at 103. We were there in September. Place was busy. Lounge chair seating was hard to find by the pool you were in, but they could be found. Good smells in the air, meditative music playing and a be quiet vibe was adhered to. We will definitely go again the next time we rol through

Magical experience! My massage therapist, Christian was very experienced and took the time before our session to get to know me and my needs. Highly recommend booking a massage when visiting. The pools were very relaxing and definitely felt the healing. The atmosphere was breathtaking and definitely worth the visit! Staff wasn’t too helpful but we did go on a Saturday. They were extremely busy so this could have been the reason. Restaurant and bar had the best pizza that is cooked in an open fire. Hands down one of our top favorites during our stay in New Mexico!

I LOVE THIS PLACE!! My mom and I traveled here in July and my husband and I came back in January! I love the food, the staff, the views, and the mineral pools. This place brings me peace. Shout out to all the staff that work hard to provide you with an experience. Ask for Sara to get a massage and join a yoga class with Johanna. This is the best yoga class I have ever taken. Housekeeping and Restaurant staff are the best. Come here stay a week and transform your life. Thank you for a wonderful time! I will be back soon!

We were so delighted to have Camerohn helping us at ojo yesterday. He was so genuine, attentive and truly happy to be there, it definitely spread to the guests he interacted with. We go about once a month and will be back soon!

We loved our stay here. The springs are so nice and the location is super cool. It’s just a remote spot that truly felt magical.

We had a wonderful girls getaway (4 nights) at Ojo Caliente. All five of us stayed on property and had a mixture of accommodations....all suits in varying sizes from the Plaza Suite up to the Posi Suite. We gathered in the evening at the Posi Suite as it's large enough to accommodate the entire group for drinks, casual dinner, and soaking in the hot tub on the private patio. Each of us was happy with our accommodations. I gave 4 stars on rooms because a couple of us had bathrooms that while fine could use some updating. We went to the spa twice while at Ojo and loved our services and the technicians. The star of the resort is the natural beauty all around and the amazing mineral pools. They offer a 9:00 am yoga class in the morning. Each instructor was knowledgable, welcoming and friendly and the class is free! Arrive 10 mins early as the class is limited to 15 and fills up. We all came away restored and refreshed. A BIG shout out to Danny who mans the gate house!!!! He is so friendly and jumped right in when we needed help taking a group photo in front of the beautiful Ojo sign. I am already planning my next trip back to Ojo!

Had a great time here, pools were on point. Plenty of different temps to bounce around from. Did a private soak to finish the night and Cameron from the bath house delivered some excellent service. He was professional and courteous, thank you!

Beautiful property with incredible pools. Dinner was also amazing at the restaurant. Both saunas were not hot and the pools smelled like laundry detergent. I was there last night soaking around 7 pm. Also at the new pools upstairs people were making cell phone videos and their ringer kept going off. Security? Please make bathing suits illegal here. Laundry detergent smell in the pools made it not a relaxing experience

We had such a great time here on our honeymoon! Seriously, seriously relaxing. We had great service throughout. I’d like to give a shout out to one of the people who work there, Camerohn for helping us set up a private pool and being very helpful.

Such an incredibly beautiful and healing environment to spend a few hours... I really recommend the private pools, totally worth it for the quiet and privacy. Camerohn was so helpful, checking to make sure our needs were met and a lovely relaxing presence. Thank you all for such a wonderful afternoon....

My partner and I went out there for the day and we got there around 11. The weather was ideal. There was a slight breeze. I think it was 65°. We finished our day having lunch at the restaurant. Everything was perfect! The entire experience was amazing. We are definitely coming back!

We came for the day to celebrate our parents’ anniversary and had the most magical day. Service was amazing - especially sweet Cameron at the front desk. Made our time here that much more special. Thank you Ojo!

We did a Soak day pass. All the pools were wonderful, and the steam room was amazing! We also had lunch at the Blue Heron restaurant on site, and the food was delicious. I went with friends, but this would make a very romantic couples experience.

This place was magic! Beautiful surroundings, each pool with its own vibe. Great staff, soft music, lovely fires and the wood smell, amazing. We went off season so attendance was light. Not a place for children.

Landed at the Santa Fe airport and came right here. I had an incredible soaking experience, the staff was so helpful and generous with towels, conversation, encouraging me to relax and move slowly. Cameron was a doll, he fed our fire all night! Truly a luxurious local experience.

Great place to relax! Camerohn has great customer service and recommendations to make the stay at Ojo Caliente even better. Everyone we talked to was super friendly and genuinely wanted us to have a good experience. I appreciate the quietness and how they strongly encourage no one talk above a whisper. This really enhances the relaxation you can achieve. If you can, do yourself a favor and go soak at ojo!

What a gem of a place! From the super friendly and helpful staff to the gorgeous, tranquil settings, we had a lovely time. The pools were amazing and the vibe was great. We were road tripping through New Mexico to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday, and a friend told us to stay here. We should have booked two nights! I forgot that I had mentioned in the reservation that this was a birthday celebration, and to our surprise the staff put prosecco and cookies in our room, along with a birthday card. That was so sweet and special. We forgot our charger during check out, and lost and found was able to locate it and ship it back to us right away. We stayed at the Inn at Ojo, which was about a quarter mile down the road from the main resort. The distance wasn't an issue at all, the only slight downside was that the walls between the rooms were quite thin and we could hear guests in the other rooms. Next time we'll book a different room -- and stay at least 3 nights. Thank you to the wonderful staff at Ojo, we very much appreciate you.

Amazingly relaxing. We went during some construction and it was still a wonderful experience. Plenty of different pools and spas. The rooms were an experience of their own, super cozy and comfortable. The massages were also a great reset for tense muscles! The restaurant was an ambient and delicious high end experience, would recommend try as much as you can for breakfast, lunch and dinner! Definitely would recommend for special occasions!!!

I almost don't want to review because I want to keep Ojo to myself! But I can't help it. I rave about Ojo to anyone who will listen. It's the most beautiful location and there is so much history here. The staff is ALWAYS kind and helpful and respectful and I always look forward to coming here. I am always so sad when I have to leave. The hot springs and spa services are some of the best in the country in my opinion. Any improvements made to the spa in the last few years have all been extremely positive and never taken away from the heart of the spa. Already looking forward to our next trip!

While in the area I decided to spend an afternoon at the hot springs. The staff were uniformly friendly and I mean genuinely friendly! The hot tub areas were very peaceful and relaxing with the expectation of having quiet in those spaces. They have some very funky wonderful Airstream like trailers that you could rent out in their Campground as well as lodging on site with a few trails. All in all just a delightful space well-appointed and calm. If you are looking for a place to relax for a day or more this should be on your radar

I was incredibly impressed with my recent stay. If you are looking for rest and relaxation, this is the ultimate getaway. While I love children, the adult-only environment created a truly tranquil atmosphere. The restaurant serves authentic New Mexican cuisine with a unique twist, and the hot springs were among the cleanest I have ever visited. The staff member was a pleasure to interact with; they truly went above and beyond the norm. I will definitely be back.

I recently found out you can soak for free on your birthday. My son and I decided to go check it out. It was such a great experience. I wish I had gone sooner. The drive isn't too bad from Albuquerque; about 2 hours. We did the day pass. It's a very nice place. All the different soaking areas were great. It's so beautiful during the day but especially at dusk. The only thing I wished I had done differently is go earlier. I was trying to wait until the temperature was higher before we went, but honesty, the pools were so warm that even the cool breeze wasn't a big deal. The staff were helpful, but not super friendly. A little smile goes a long way. I will definitely return. I think this is my new favorite place. :)

Highly recommend treating yourself to an overnight here as opposed to a day pass. The pools are great in the evenings after crowds thin and especially morning before the day use crowds start to arrive. Plan to enjoy a couple meals at the restaurant (remember to make a reservation for dinner). Food is a little pricey, but the menu and service have always been spot on for me. I am gluten-free, and everything is clearly labeled for special diets. The rooms in the historic hotel can be chilly in winter, so bring warm pajamas! Great, peaceful spot in the high desert where people have been coming for 1,000’s of years to soak and relax.

This is an excellent place to relax and enjoy the hot natural springs. Relaxation and quiet is a theme here. "Honor the tranquility" is posted throughout the area. There are plenty of places to top off your water bottle. The different pools offer different things for your soaking needs. I particularly liked the Arsenic, Iron, and Lithia pools. The restaurant/bar offered delicious food with locally gown ingredients, from their own farm. The fireplace within the rooms we stayed in was a very nice and romantic feature and the rack outside of our room was refilled twice a day to keep us with plenty of wood. I couldn't think of anything to complain about. Truly it was a very nice place and will 100% go back.

I haven’t been here in 20 years. It was worth the wait. The food was to die for. Helen gave an awesome massage and gave me a Medusa hair do. But the icing on the cake was Melissa. I left my favorite pair of shoes. She made the process of getting them back easy or downright pleasant. Oh I can’t forget Lori our favorite most relatable server in the restaurant! Thanks Team Ojo.

It's definitely more expensive and busier than it used to be in the early 2000's. Overall: usually a wonderful experience! I now take my camper for overnights to save $$. Restaurant is tasty but make reservations for dinner.

It's got a great atmosphere wish they would sell the music in the gift shop. But the down side the restront is hard to get into if you have a big wheelchair it's ramp needs to be a little wider for getting in better, the door needs wider too there, there was one bathroom I seen that will accommodate a big wheelchair but there seats in there were to low for me. The bathrooms at the camp site could accommodate anyone that could stand and wash but I didn't see a place to wash with my wheelchair the only one that acomidateyd a bigger chair had a small shower I could drive my wheelchair in but my knees stuck out past the shower curtain. The only chair to go into the pools was at the cold pool they could use one that could be put at any spot in any of there pools because we all like to whisper to our friends too and not be sagragted from them. The pats are not passable for a wheelchair either or mine because when you have huge rocks and washed out paths it's hard to get up them. So if you can walk it's great. I will not be coming back because of all this but it was a nice time outside in there small gardens.

Staff were very friendly and helpful! There were lots of pools at various temperatures. I enjoyed the free self service mud bath. The cost was great considering I could soak as long as I wanted for the $65 day pass which included a large locker and towel. Other places charge that much for up to 3 hours and don't include the locker or towel. The WHISPER Rule caught me off guard. I think part of the fun of traveling to Hot Springs is chatting with the people you encounter there. You get tips on what to do, where to stay, and what to avoid. Talking in the pools is discouraged, and I found it very difficult to follow the Whisper Rule, especially since my voice is naturally loud. I still had a great time and will recommend the place (with a warning about the Whisper Rule).

Lindsay Frerichs

Beautiful location. The soaking pools are very relaxing. The soaking hours for overnight guests only are truly tranquil. However, once the day pass people arrive it becomes quite crowded. They need to limit the amount the amount of day passes provided. The historic hotel rooms are sparse but clean; definitely paying for the experience and not the room. I enjoyed sitting in the rocking chairs on the porch with a glass of wine at night.

S
Suzy Wells

Sabine at the front desk was wonderful! The room could use attention. There was a big spider web in the bathroom and in order to use the coffee pot because the cord was so short I had to place it on a chair by the outlet. We asked for wine glasses because we couldn't find any but when we went to put our things in the drawers in the bathroom there they were. Was so excited to enjoy the Ojo coffee that I had sampled five years ago but it is DEFINITELY not the same coffee. The food in the restaurant was ok but DEFINITELY not like five years ago. My body did feel better after soaking in the pools.

My girlfriends and I had a fantastic time celebrating my 50th birthday at Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs and Spa. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, and the mineral pools were pristine and inviting. The locker rooms were also well-maintained and equipped with their lovely smelling bath products. The restaurant served delicious New Mexican cuisine, and I highly recommend trying their dishes. I would definitely stay at Ojo Caliente again and recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway.

Manager working the check-in desk on 2/16/26 was not friendly and was NOT attentive to anything we said. My husband and I checked in to soak for the day after making reservations with their package deal. Manager seemed irritated when she asked when our private soak was scheduled. I stated repeatedly the time of our reservation…When we asked if the price reflected 20% off-since we were staying in their rv accomodations,-the manager stated abruptly with no explanation or other suggestions, “our packages do not apply to 20% off.” Slammed robes down and assumed we knew what to do… No worries because everyone else was really cool. Beautiful scenery and trails, hot springs were fancy and super hot. Side note: I have worked hospitality for years, and this gal managing the front desk needs either a vacation or a snickers because she seemed angry.

Lovely location, wonderful mineral pools. We purchased a private soak and day pass for just under $200 for 2. Our booking experience with Michelle was informative and pleasant. When booked, I was told to arrive at least 30 mins prior to the private soak. Admittedly, we arrived closer to an hour before our reservation. Upon arrival, we were rudely greeted by Justine who, in no uncertain terms indicated it didn’t matter what we were told upon booking but would not be allowed to enter until 10 am, the time of our booking and when the pools were open to the public. Interesting, given I was also offered a private pool reservation times prior to 10 am. While her message may have been accurate, there certainly could have been more finesse in the delivery. Disappointing to later learn Justine was a manager, given her insufficient skills in basic customer service management. To pass time, we enjoyed walking around the gardens and gift shop until we were allowed to enter as day guests just prior to our private pool appointment time. Our private pool host, Zach, was fantastic and the rest of the staff was helpful and courteous. It was unfortunate our introduction to Ojo Caliente was so poor. If we return, it will most certainly be as return hotel guests to the Santa Fe location.

Took my wife here for your20th anniversary. Had heard good thing about the cliff side rooms and private soak tubs. We were disappointed and the rooms and private tube left a lot to be desired. First of all we spent $500 for a night. The cliff side room Says kitchenette. Our bathroom sink was the kitchen sink. They provide a couple of plates and cups and silverware. They have a small fridge and small microwave. I was expecting something to cook on when advertised as kitchenette. The public soak tubs were nice and we enjoyed those. The private soak tube was a large bath tub that had cracked porcelain and what looked like rust exposed. The stopper for the drain wouldn’t seal so we had to leave the water running the entire time. We still made the best out of it and enjoyed each others company l, but as I mentioned they left a lot to be desired with the rooms. I expected more for the price.

For all the hype this place receives I guess I just come away wanting a little bit more every time than I actually end up getting. It's a lot of money for the experience that you get. And I really don't love hanging out in spa soup filled with sunscreen in the middle of the day :-( I wish there were more opportunities for private experiences here that didn't cost so much and were a little more readily available when I went. I couldn't go on my birthday again this year but this time was because they didn't have enough therapists available, so in 5 years I've never been able to enjoy a free soak on my 🎂. 😔 I guess it could be worse but it could also be better. Just saying.

I decided to book a spa day here at Ojo Caliente during a vacation in Santa Fe. I was disappointed by this experience. Ojo Caliente is absolutely beautiful, and it saddens me to see that it could be so wonderful but unfortunately seems to fall short due to a few things. The spa was massively oversold on the day I visited (Friday, Jan 2) which was likely due to the holiday week. However, if it is like this every weekend, I would not go back. The crowds took it from peaceful spa to crowded waterpark. At first I was given an outdoors locker because the front desk staff said they didn't have any lockers left in the women's locker room when I arrived around noon. I couldn't even locate this outdoor locker after lugging my stuff around the grounds so I went back to ask if I could get a locker somewhere inside. I was confused, because another staff member said "well you can have one but it's going to be in that area", which was a mere couple of feet from the other locker room. I just didn't understand this interaction at all, of course I'm going to prefer having a locker inside rather than in the middle of the coed crowds. At the end of the day, the locker rooms were insanely crowded, and everyone was making comments about it. It couldn't get cleaned fast enough and was extremely wet and chaotic, and people were trying to reach over each other to access their lockers. The spa clearly sets the intentions of having a quiet, peaceful atmosphere by reminding everyone with signs and even on the wristbands to whisper. However, with the crowds this day and a lack of staff coming around to enforce, it again felt like a waterpark rather than a spa. About half of the people were trying to respect the rule, but then the other half paid it no mind. Even in the pool that is supposed to be silent, people were talking loudly every single time I checked the pool. No one was enforcing the whisper policy. Sometimes groups of families would overtake a pool, and then make comments when someone else would try to join. Sometimes there would be moments of peace with a group in a pool being calm and whispering, only to be ruined by one couple or group joining the pool and talking loudly. It was a bummer because I booked this spa day several months out. I think these issues would be GREATLY mitigated if the pools were moved to a reservation-only system.

First - we’ve been coming here since before part of the resort burned down. The good ole days. Really off putting to note that most of the tubs had skin flakes, hair and other nasty things floating in them. People now disrespect the quiet and peaceful rule. The room - we actually like the hotel because it is close to coffee and the restaurant, but the hot water didn’t work this time. For a room without a shower I expect at least hot water from the sink. Finally, the staff here pays no attention to guests paying hundreds of dollars to stay. They will carry on with their conversations and completely ignore you. The one good thing is the new pools are nice and quiet and clean still…so I’d say go up there. Unsure how to justify a $300 basic hotel room from now on….

We are annual visitors to Ojo since 2019, and intermittent visitors since 2010. We started at a nearby VRBO, then a trailer, a campsite, and finally a Posi Suite for the last 3 years. This is a special place. Unfortunately, each year gets a little more disappointing. First-the complete disrespect of the guests to whisper, or stay silent. This is getting worse and with the newer pools, completely out of control. The Posi suites have a private pool on the patio and normally it is warm and beautiful. This year we were sandwiched in between loud guests and marijuana smokers. The private pool lost heat and water on Saturday night…still not fixed. It is still the most beautiful place I know and I hope efforts to take the beauty back are underway through silent areas (with enforcement) or silent days. I noted several of the complaints having to do with not understanding the rules-perhaps clear and loud instructions at check in and a partial refund when asked to leave. The magic is being lost. Please bring it back or risk becoming just like other hot springs.

I would first like to say that after reading about this location, this spa being posted on so many "must visit" lists & top 10 Hot Springs resorts to experience, I hyped myself up for one hell of a solo trip!! I wanted to close out my birthday month in a very sweet and relaxing way. In my experience, both the spa and front desk check-in staff needs to be a lot more cordial & friendlier. I overheard one of the staff members going over practically every single thing that you needed to know about the resort & also handed a robe to the customer so I was actually expecting the same treatment but that was asking for too much! The front desk greeting was cold & she was too short so she had to go around the counter & shove a map in my face after she couldn't even smile at me in the beginning. I backed away from her because, personal bubble & it looked like she got even more offended that she had to help me. I also wanted to mention a little girl with black star stickers all over her face that wore braces, she shouldn't be working the desk at all! Maybe a refresher course on how to deal with all types of customers in their line of work within the hospitality sector is what some of their staff needs! I had to go back to the front desk & ask for a robe, which was supposed to be included with the cliffside rooms, because it was not given to me during my check-in! I paid an incredible amount for a cliffside room & the private pool didn't reach full level from half a day it was "running" & by the time the tub was ready for me to take a dip (still only halfway filled) it was already cold. If that's the case, why not give those who stay Cliffside room a private pool session instead or at least make sure it's running properly! The Cliffside room has all the amenities a person can ask for but if their main reason was because of the private tub (like mine) it might be more accommodating if staff makes sure the person is getting what they pay for! Incredible hype about the spa & even though it was great it didn't really feel "out of this world" compared to the other treatments that I received in the past from different HotSprings resorts. I probably spent an extra $150 just because of the location, there are other treatments that I have received at other spa resorts that was not that expensive & I actually remember the experience more fondly & got more bang for my buck. Overall, I don't believe that everything I paid & received on my stay was worth it & I traveled nearly 5hrs to check out a new location. In comparison, go to Saratoga HotSprings in Wyo, you won't be disappointed..literally the same rooms, spa experiences, their own restaurant/brewery out there & maybe about $300 cheaper than what I paid for at Ojo Caliente!! The scenery & location was absolutely gorgeous though! My room had a fireplace & there was an employee that restocked the firewood in the doorways so I can enjoy the fireplace the whole evening. Very dope* The restaurant, eh, Should I even go into it? In my opinion as a solo traveler, since I did had a fridge in my room, I would've just packed up a cooler & take everything that I wanted to eat to the room & not even worry about the restaurant. One of the main dishes that I wanted was not available when showing up for my reservation (which you do need to eat dinner there) So I bought two appetizers, stuck with water & still came out to about $45 including tip! The entrée situation definitely was not the restaurants fault, it must have been a very popular dish!! I'm a spa hound & there are other resorts that I've stayed at, while purchasing a spa package & eating at their establishments where I didn't spend over $800 for just one evening! Not really sure if it's because of all the hype for this location but I probably won't be returning, I've only visited maybe 70% of the Hot Springs in Colorado so maybe I should finish off my list here!

I purchased a soak day pass hoping for a relaxing spa experience, but unfortunately it fell short. The overall atmosphere felt much more like a public pool than a spa. Large groups were talking loudly in the pools, and staff did not intervene to maintain a quiet, restful environment, which really detracted from the experience. Beyond the soaking pools, the amenities were quite limited compared to what I’d expect from a spa at this price point. The pools themselves weren’t particularly hot, there was only one infrared sauna, no cold plunge or truly cold pools, and no comfortable indoor relaxation space. While the outdoor hammocks are likely enjoyable in warmer months, they aren’t practical when it’s around 40 degrees, leaving no inviting indoor area to unwind. Towel service was also disappointing, there were no clean towels available when I needed one. Overall, this was a disappointing experience given the cost, and it did not deliver the tranquil, well-managed spa environment I was expecting.

The place is nice. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant is very good. A few things were not so great. We stayed the night there for around $500 to $600 per the night. The place was beautiful but, the floors were nasty. We had a private mineral pool which wasn’t great either. There was a bunch of dirt, leafs, and bugs in it. For the price, I was expecting more from our room. Pretty big let down considering that. Regardless, the community ones were definitely worth while.

I love coming here and soaking, unfortunately the last two trips have been disastrous. Body fluids floating in our private tub (sure you can guess what I’m talking about) and the most rude bar tender ever. She was rude the last two trips. The restaurant manager ga e is the worst excuse for the bar tender yelling at us in front of a crowded bar and made no attempt of correcting the issue. The saving grace was Rick. He was AMAZING, empathetic and understanding, helped us when we had the private tub issue and when we got to our vintage trailer the tv didn’t work, he sent out maintenance right away(although maintenance had no idea how to fix the issue and only tried to power cycle the dish box) he called back before he left to see if the issue got resolved and was apologetic. He is the reason I’m not leaving a lower rating. Thank you for all you did Rick!!! He definitely gets 5 stars! Exceptional service. This may be the last trip we spend money on to this location though ..

I was on a short trip to Taos so I stopped here for lunch and a soak. The food at the restaurant was awful - way too salty (thank god the beer was good). I wouldn't eat at the restaurant again. The springs were a little over $60 for a day pass, I was only going to be able to stay for a couple hours so probably a little expensive for what I needed but I wanted to try it out. Staff were friendly/helpful and pools were nice and clean. I wouldn't say it was a quiet experience, people were definitely having conversations but that didn't bother me but if you're looking for silence this isn't the spot. Beautiful views and a great variety of pools.

If your budget is on the higher side, I strongly recommend not staying at the Inn at Ojo. It’s the farthest property from the main campus, and the low, cramped buildings have zero charm. Honestly, it looks like a budget motel—except a motel might cost $50 a night, while this place charges $350. At that price, you’d expect an upgrade… but instead it just feels like you’re paying more for less. The room itself looks fine at first glance, except for the bizarre distressed green wardrobe. It has such an eerie vibe that it feels like some ancient spirit might crawl out at any moment. The soundproofing is absolutely terrible. Once someone checks in next door, you’ll hear everything. And I mean everything—clear enough that you can picture the whole scene in your head. It’s honestly more “entertaining” than watching TV; with some luck, it might even turn into an unintended 18+ experience. And the coffee… I don’t even know where to begin. It’s hard to believe that at this price point, you can’t simply enjoy a decent cup of coffee in your room with someone you care about. Overall, if you’re on a tight budget, this place is “okay.” But if you have options, there are much better stays at Ojo Caliente - save yourself the disappointment. 2 star for hot spring, relax and pressure relief!

More public pool than sanctuary our last visit between Christmas and new year. This had been a very peaceful place until our last trip. People doing cannon balls in pools, young children soaking at night with their parents, and groups of women talking loudly like a cocktail hour and they would laugh at staffing asking them to honor the quiet. Mostly upsetting was that as a lodging guest, you couldn’t find a pool to soak, that wasn’t packed full of day pass people. Many of us lodging guests wandering around looking for any open pool and there just wasn’t room. We had to leave early it was just too crowded. Couldn’t even get through the lobby to the pools the day pass line was so long. Hoping this was a holiday fluke versus what Ojo just is now, as it was a very peaceful place in our visits the last few years. Hope they’ll consider limiting day passes so lodging guests can use the pools, otherwise you’re going to start losing your long time customers. We missed the sanctuary feel. On a positive note, our room was wonderful and the restaurant staff were wonderful as always.

We stayed in a room at the Inn at Ojo. We could hear every word of the conversation the occupants in the room next to us. We had to use music and white noise to drown out their conversation. It didn’t seem like they were talking all that loud, but that the walls were paper thin without appropriate insulation. We enjoyed the pools and restaurant, but the overall calm and environment of the resort was diminished by our room. We did tell the manager and showed her a video we had taken demonstrating that we could hear our neighbors clearly, but she brushed off our concerns. We would discourage guests from staying at the Inn at Ojo and maybe consider a day pass and stay at a nice hotel in Santa Fe.

Don’t come here!!!!!. Just don’t. My wife and I came here to celebrate her birthday thinking it was gonna be a great relaxing way to spend her birthday. Complete opposite happened we walked in PAID and went to go get changed. My wife had trouble opening her locker told a staff member she needed help the staff member waited for us outside the locker room and escorted us to the front desk again because they thought we did not pay. So here we are standing in the lobby in our swim wear very uncomfortable around at least a dozen people for about 10 minutes till they figured out we were not criminals and we actually did pay. I believe the girl name was Ashley and she was incredibly rude!! She did not want to give us our money back we tried one pool and I just could not relax and reduce my stress because I was so irritated about them accusing us like that when we were completely innocent. How are we being accused of not paying when we had wristbands and were assigned a locker? I’m starting to think it was a racial thing due to Ashley behavior and my wife and I were the only ones accused . I will never be back save your money and time. I tried reaching out to Justina Rodriguez via email about my situation but she hasn’t responded so that’s why I left this review. Very unprofessional and unwelcoming

We had a private pool booked so we got there a little before noon. As we walked up to check-in, we noticed a 'renovations' sign sticking up. There is nothing about this on the site. We actually called in to book this reservation and nobody mentioned this to us! The private pool was anything but relaxing. Jack hammer and backhoe going at it. I mentioned this to the staff and they just shrugged it off and said they didn't know when it will end and that it had been going on FOR A WHILE! The sauna was just underpowered. I think I spent 45 minutes just to reach the sweat point. The towels given out were like small hand-towels, not spa/bathhouse towels. The mud pool was also closed. Had been for a while, and once again, no mention of it. We ended up eating over at the hotel restaurant. The food was fine, but incredibly overpriced. These were 15-20$ meals, that they were charging close to 30$ an entree for. Really disappointed, as this was our first vacation in a long time. The spa was meant to be a focal point in our relaxing time. Please learn from this. Don't allow business to be booked at RELAXATION SPA when there is an active jackhammer going on right next to the pools! EDIT RESPONSE: Do you not understand how that is completely unacceptable? A JACK HAMMER was going the whole time were at a RELAXATION SPA because you refused to close down or properly notify your guests. I am expecting a full refund.

I’ve visited Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs & Spa many times and usually love the experience, especially the new pools. On my most recent visit, arriving at 8 pm and paying the full $65 rate felt unfair. Starting around 9 pm, loud cleaning began, including pressure washing and scrubbing in the steam room that could be heard from the pools near the bathhouse, along with an employee loudly pulling out the pool cover while guests were still soaking. These shutdown activities disrupted the quiet, relaxing environment the resort strictly enforces. If the spa is open until 10 pm, guests should be able to enjoy a peaceful experience until closing, or there should be a discounted late-entry rate.
