I found the place very interesting. There are private spaces like balconies and open spaces for a large crowd. The location on Madero Street is convenient. There are several nearby parking lots open every day until late at night, so there's no need to worry about this. The service is very accurate, everything is on time and well coordinated. The quality and presentation of the food is superior. The flavor is perfect, well-executed. I recommend pairing it with local wines. Highly recommended.

𝗨𝗻𝗮 𝕟𝕠𝕔𝕙𝕖 𝕞𝕒́𝕘𝕚𝕔𝕒 𝗲𝗻 𝘂𝗻 𝕖𝕤𝕡𝕖𝕔𝕥𝕒𝕔𝕦𝕝𝕒𝕣 𝕖𝕤𝕡𝕖𝕔𝕥𝕒𝕔𝕦𝕝𝕒𝕣🥂❤️ La Castañuela is a Spanish restaurant located in a 1930s mansion and is served by the prestigious Chef Claudio Innes, so the evening was already shaping up to be special. The beauty of the property is enhanced by a careful selection of understated yet elegant furnishings and a decor that features, among other elements, works of art (several by talented local artists). Since this property was previously used as a residential home, it offers rooms of various sizes, all of which are equipped for private gatherings of varying capacity. Something that pleasantly surprised us was what we found on the rooftop terraces. These consist of several levels, and there are: a south-facing terrace with an elegant bar on the first floor; a beautiful roof garden with lush vegetation and wooden benches and tables perfect for afternoon paella with friends or family; and at the top, a gorgeous rooftop terrace inviting you to enjoy a glass of wine while admiring the stars; and a small room surrounded by windows, ideal for an intimate dinner with your loved one, admiring the city landscape and the immensity of the sky from above. Sorry if I've been too long-winded, but let me repeat, the place is spectacular. As I mentioned at the beginning, Claudio Innes being in charge of the kitchen is always a guarantee, so our dinner was perfect (delicious). July and I decided to share dishes that night, and I'll tell you which ones they were: A starter included Mini Serrano Ham Montaditos with salmorejo on sourdough bread. For the first course, we had delicious Serrano Ham Croquettes, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, which were my little girl's favorite. Then, we had the Caldo Gallego (Galician Broth) made with white beans, Serrano ham, and chard, which reminded us how a seemingly simple dish can be transformed into a delicacy in the hands of the chef and with the right ingredients. The main course, a slow-cooked oxtail and sherry wine, with that special flavor from its sauce and the softness from its long simmering, was undoubtedly my favorite. To finish, we subtly sweetened our palates with homemade Alicante nougat ice cream. The wines chosen for the occasion were a Tempranillo from La Rioja and a Viña Secreta from Vinícola el Secreto, which we suggest you try. The service, as expected, is impeccable, attentive, punctual, and professional. We recommend visiting this place, which is ideal for special celebrations, business meetings, small events, and, why not, simply to enjoy on any day when you feel like pampering yourself.

Eating here for the first time, and the food was really good, to be honest. They don't have an extensive menu, and I don't know if it was just bad luck, but they didn't have any of the desserts we ordered at the time, so we were disappointed. The service is good, but not excellent. The atmosphere is very calm and relaxed, so you can comfortably chat with whomever you're with.

A very pleasant experience. The restaurant is nice, although the entrance isn't very convenient, but the view of Madero Street is lovely. The service was excellent from beginning to end. The menu is small but features dishes that are very representative of Spanish cuisine. The preparation of the dishes is a bit slow, but it's well worth the wait; the presentation is good and the flavor is great. Kudos to the kitchen! The portions are a bit inconsistent; for example, the Fabada (Asturian bean stew) was very generous, but the salmon came with no side dishes. The dessert could be improved; it doesn't quite live up to the quality of the other dishes. A definitely recommendable place; I'd give it 4 stars and a bit more. I hope to return soon.

The food is tasty but not exceptional; the salad is delicious. The quality of the food is very good, however, the portions, like the cod, are poor. The menu should have a brief description of each dish/cocktail/dessert to avoid asking the waiters, as well as include all the drinks and wines offered. It's definitely a good option if you want to enjoy Spanish food.

We ordered dishes for an event. The dishes were well thought out, but the main course meat was very tough, and there were no steak knives, making it difficult to eat. Each course took a long time to serve the last four or five dishes, so people had to wait, and the waitress kept coming over to ask if they wanted them. Terrible service. We made a reservation for 4 pm, and the food was served at all times. We all ate separately, and I had a child with me whose meal never arrived. The service was expensive for sitting for 2-3 hours. I don't recommend it and I wouldn't return.
