I recently visited Beretta SF in the Mission (Valencia) and it was a great experience. This Italian restaurant has a limited food menu but the food is fresh and authentic. This is a great date night restaurant with amazing food and wine. We ordered the crab balls, bread, and pizza, which I highly recommend. In addition to the amazing food, the staff was extremely friendly, kind, and very helpful. They also stay open late (11 pm) on most nights, which is great especially for the Mission.

Went here on a Friday night to grab dinner with a friend. It’s a small place but cute with good ambiance and music. They were very busy that night but the staff was also very attentive and fast when it came to serving out table. We ordered the meatballs which for appetizer they were very flavorful and the sauce was super tasty. We also shared their margherita burrata pizza and tricolore salad along with their spa water cocktail and firestarter cocktails and we were very pleased with all our choices.

One of my newly favorite Italian restaurants in SF! Thin crust pizzas. Cozy dining environment. Contemporary Italian comfort food. I had a wonderful time there. Recognized as one of the “Best Restaurants In The Mission” by Infatuation, this hip bar and pizzeria caught my eyes from the very beginning when I passed by What would we recommend at Beretta? 🍕 Italian sausage pizza (10/10 - impressive) 🔥 Mushroom Risotto (I also really like this dish as well) 🍹 It’s also very famous for cocktails! But I would not recommend its appetizer “eggplant caponatina”

I was a bit disappointed with food. Ordered meatballs and chicken. Chicken was juicy but bland, fregula was over salted and bland as well. I Won’t come back.

Food: 1. Arancini (6.5/10) ran a bit fishy could be better balanced with lemon to bring out sweetness and sauce didn’t add much. 2. Butternut squash risotto (8/10) well balanced rich dish; would try again 3. 1/2 roasted chicken (5/10) chicken was dry rest was good. Service: We came on a rainy Sunday night, waiter was friendly but we waited so long to pay our bill. To be fair I’m an overly polite person that tries to make eye contact, which I felt I did 4x, but we didn’t touch our food and it was clearly finished for at least 20 mins 😭 Atmosphere: Very cozy and warm. Would have appreciated hooks for bar tables to hook our purse. Would recommend if you plan to stay a while, place is cozy and food is decent.

We were a party of two for pre-movie food and drink. They have a good selection of food and drink for happy hour at attractive prices. The service was excellent - thoughtful, courteous and efficient. The ambience was nice. We enjoyed our calamari, margarita pizza, negroni and ginger non-alcoholic drink.

The staff was friendly and accommodating throughout our visit. We ordered the calamari, pizza with burrata, bucatini, and saffron risotto. There was a small mix-up with my order—they accidentally brought out the spring risotto—but they were quick to fix it without any fuss, which I appreciated. Overall, the food was great, especially the pasta and risotto. The only downside was the noise level—it was quite loud, and the tables were packed in a bit too tightly for comfort.

If you’re looking for an Italian restaurant around Valencia Street, I highly recommend this place. Linguini seafood And pizza is good too. Burretta Bruchetta Walnut bread is very good. Best dish for me. This my favorite.

Pizza, Drinks, and Good Vibes I had a great experience at Beretta in San Francisco's Mission District. It's been a favorite spot since it opened in 2008, known for its pizzas, interesting drinks, and friendly vibe. It feels cozy and the drinks are really good. It's more than just a place to eat and drink, it's a place where people come together and hang out. I visited Beretta for the first time for dinner with colleagues after our company retreat. We went on a late Tuesday afternoon, and despite the indoor dining area not being busy, we decided to sit outside. I started with a glass of white wine and a beet salad, which was delicious and made me realize I was still hungry. I ordered their Summer Risotto, while my colleagues went for pizza. The pies looked very good, and everyone was happy with their choices. My risotto was tasty and the portion was just right. I passed on dessert, but a couple of my colleagues who shared a Tiramisu and couldn't stop praising its taste and quality. The service was excellent. Our orders arrived on time and as ordered. We never felt like our table was being ignored. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience, and I definitely plan to visit the Valencia location again.

Came here for a date on a Saturday and put ourselves on the waitlist and got seated immediately! Good: - Prices are super reasonable for such a nice place! - I loved the squid ink risotto - such a good unique flavor profile and the calamari really elevated the whole presentation of the dish and the way that each bite would feel different and crunchy - Bartender's pizza was surprisingly light and I loved the burrata that came on top - The meatballs were tasty and huge too! - My drink was light and fruity as well - I got the tequila one - Really quick service Bad: - Pretty loud inside and harder to hear conversation Overall it was really a great place to go for a romantic date and also to get some solid Italian food without breaking the bank.

This used to be my favorite Italian spot in the city. But the last visit was sooooo disappointing, even my favorite thing, the meatballs, had lost their flavor and love. The pizza was the only thing that was decent. It was a group of 6 of us (and not a single one enjoyed their meal), I had international family from out of town visiting and i’m sad I took them here… hope whatever cook they let go comes back soon!
