Forest Hills Express Cafe

If you love Forest Hills bagel, good food just got a lot closer. Great service, fast and nice. Food is delicious and coffee is great. Bagels are great and there is a wide variety. I usually go once a week but now that they are closer to me I expect to go a little more often. Much better than the other choices on 108.

I ordered a dozen bagels and two lbs of creamcheese this morning around 730, they flew to my house in less than 15 minutes. Bagels were so fresh, chewy and cruchy and warm. I haven't been eating bagels but recently got back on them and will be ordering again. So pleased.

The staff is incredibly friendly and exceptionally attentive. Alejandra, in particular, was exceptionally warm, and her recommendations were spot on. I'm definitely looking forward to going back!

They are truly my favorite bagel spot. Their service is quick and everything is kept clean. The staff is super nice and always cheery, especially Chris. If you’re a regular at this shop, most of the time they remember your order. When I call for delivery, I don’t have to wait for long. The best part of it all, it’s in the best location. I’ve been waiting for a decent bagel shop to open up around 108 and the time has come. Do yourself a favor and visit forest hills express cafe. It’s always my first choice.

This was such a great addition to the neighbor! Finally a place to get yummy bacon egg and cheeses, burgers, wings, smoothies etc. The staff is extremely friendly and remember faces which I think is so personable and awesome. The food is always fresh and delicious anytime you walk in. This is definitely my spot from now on, and I recommend everyone to try them out! You’ll love it as much as I do.

I was recommended this place by a friend whose a local. I ordered a few bagel sandwiches and french toast. The bagels sandwiches were good but the french toast was not.

The photos of food on real plates must be stock photos, because even when I started my order with “dine in” and I asked not to have my hot food put in a plastic container (because hot things melt plastic, the most they will give you is a paper plate. I just wanted 2 eggs, with a side of bacon and toast. The cashier misunderstood and started asking me about bagels, then after we clarified that I just wanted normal toast, she gave me the whole thing as a sandwich, which was also not what I ordered. They remade it again, but it was really frustrating to not be heard/understood many times in a single, context heavy conversation.

It’s been a hit or miss with this place. The bagels are good and I really like one of their juice drinks (the one with the turmeric). I’ve tried one of their grilled chicken wraps and it was pretty bad (pretty tasteless and a soppy mess) and another time I asked if they had avocado to add to a sandwich and they didn’t have avocado (?? what sandwich shop does not have avocado??). Unfortunately my recent visit would be my last when I saw a roach creeping around the side of the counter area. I stomped it out with my boot but it’s just never a good thing to see a roach in a food establishment. Too bad, the workers there are usually nice and polite.

Get breakfast here about once a week because my wife likes the coffee and Jerusalem is closed on Saturdays and a Dunkin is well, crap. Bagels are good. Among the best I’ve had. Possibly better than Jerusalem but again, they’re a little more $. Usually order the BEC. Way overpriced compared to other places in the area. Almost $8 for a breakfast BEC on a roll is nuts. That’s like deli sandwich pricing. As I said, Bagels are good, spreads sometimes look old, like no one’s gotten any lately, gets a little discolored on top. But don’t worry, they’ll mix that top in with the rest. Cinnamon cream cheese definitely needs more cinnamon, bland. Decided to give the hamburger a try as I got home from work early and had to hit the bank on the corner. DO NOT get the burger! Walk across the street to the burger spot! Basically the same price and a much better burger. This one was like the dozen burgers in a box for $6 you get at Costco. No taste. Hockey puck like. Can tell it was prefrozen. If I didn’t actually see it cooked on the grill I’d think they microwaved it. It was that bad. For $9!

The second wrap was egg and cheese which I didn’t ask for. The owner needs to hire people who speak and understand English. Waste of my time and my money. Stay away from this place they will over charge you because they don’t understand what you want and give you what they think you want. Never spending my money here agian. All the workers do is speak Spanish amongst themselves. And when I called and said they gave me the wrong order they were rude and hung up on my face. I don’t see this store lasting for long. I hear for many people that their orders get messed up. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Forest hills bagels on queens blvd always gets my order right.
