MAKE A RESERVATION We did not but luckily they had just opened so we were able to get a spot. This place is POPULAR and we now know why. We had the all you can eat family style catfish. I am gluten free so they had a separate plateful of fish and fries fixed and marked gluten free. 🥰 I was thrilled and had no issues. Really great wait staff. They are fast fast fast getting refills and plates of food out. Everyone in our party left nearly miserable because the food is just that good. The beautiful views are just a bonus!

You can always count on a family-friendly atmosphere in this family owned and ran restaurant! We love every one of them and will continue to visit for years to come. It doesn't hurt that the fish and set up is absolutely amazing too.

Friendly, family-owned lake-front restaurant with a simple menu - steak or fish - and a breathtaking view of Lake Claiborne. You can’t go wrong with either choice on the menu! Drinks are served in big 32oz “bubba” cups. Homemade bean soup, coleslaw, hush puppies, and mouthwatering pickles are served to everyone family-style. Food is delicious! Service is some of the friendliest around! And don’t forget to order a slice of pie or cake for dessert….it’ll change your life!😊

Fifteen family members went to this restaurant after making reservations. They were ready for us. Our waiter, Sutton, was “Johnny on the spot!” He served us quickly and attended our every need. He was pleasant. He was always smiling and laughed with us. All other staff was also pleasant. We drove an hour to eat there. I’ll definitely go back!

we drove 1 hr 15 minutes to get this place and did not get disappointed . staff is friendly , couches in the waiting area are comfy, and the view of the lake is awesome . i've had all you can eat catfish but you can not even think about ordering another one because they bring so much food and it is so delicious. coleslaw hush puppies pickle and the bean soup were fantastic. my wife had steak and it was perfectly seasoned. she didnt even need A1 steak sauce. tender and juicy steak. it definitely worth to try this place and we loved it. Thanks to everyone who made our meal very enjoyable...

Super friendly staff and a great setting. Only two main course options fried catfish and steak. The specialization allows for nearly perfect dining experience. Cole slaw was really good as were the pickles. My only criticism is that the hush puppies could have been better. As nearly as I can tell, the restuarant is in the middle of nowhere and yet has been in business over 50 years. You don't stay open that long unless people want to eat there. That fact alone is better than any review.

While the food is really great, you have two choices, steak or fried catfish. They do both extremely well. The dessert list is vast and there is no wrong choice of what you get. They are all REALLY good!

A very fun experience. Get the lake view table, there are several of them. We enjoyed our dinner but the fried fish was just a little disappointing. We would visit again though. Very friendly place with ok food and a good price.

Won’t be returning. My family and I have been going to Port Au Prince over the years and has never had an issue. However our last experience was a bitter sweet one. The food was ok, when we tried to get a second order of fish it came rather slow, ok no problem, what I’m not happy with is the fact we never saw our ticket until it was time to pay, therefore we couldn’t verify charges, our waiter said he left ours up front with the cashier 🤔 so when we went to pay the bill, they hit us with 156$ bill and we couldn’t verify if it was correct so I have to ask what was the charges why others were waiting to check out (embarrassing) so turns out they added a $20+ gratuity to our bill which I was never able to confirm the exact amount 😒 he said they automatically charged 15% for a party of 6 which is fine, except our party of 6 included a 2 yr old baby in which they said they weren’t charging for. TIPS is….TO INSURE PROPER SERVICES, providing a ticket to our table would also be considered services. So I’ll respectfully pass on this place next time I want to take my family out.

Everything was great — except for the Manager! My Aunt Gretchen who was celebrating 83rd birthday 🥳 was NOT able to open gifts! This was an annual event- to celebrate 🎉 birthdays, but the Manager Greg - said, NO to opening gifts at the table. Everyone was so upset - this was her favorite place to go to celebrate! Super sad, a manger wouldn’t not let open her gifts! Owners need to know!!!! So hopefully an owner sees this post and addresses this with the manager, Greg. This should been opportunity to take pics and put on Facebook. (FYI: no cakes, just gifts)
