I googled best Pizza in Albany, NY and this place popped up. I was not disappointed. It was our 1st true New York pizza. It was amazing!!

I’ve grown up in Albany. I’ve been here my whole life. I’ve tried every single pizza spot dozens of times. That’s no exaggeration. Even bad pizza is pizza. But Paesan’s? It’s legit. It’s the closest thing to New York pizza outside of downstate. It’s a true encapsulation of thin crispy crust, melty cheese, and tasty sauce. It is damn good. Paesan’s is the best pizza in Albany. It’s so much better than the other pizza spots that there is no second place. It just skips to third. It gets a bad rep sometimes because it’s in the college area. To heck with that. It’s Phenomenal. Notice the capital P. I go out of my way for Paesan’s, and you should too.

Ok. I wanted to order pizza for 12 people. My first time online order ever. So, I read all the reviews. After some consideration decided on Paesan's. Looking at the menu, I thought if I order the pie I have to decided on the ingredients too. So, most of my meat lover pizza was double: ham, cheese, sausage. Also I had ordered a souse on white(!) pizza. My order at fist looked so weird, that cook called me himself. And when we talked I assured him that I'm the crazy one. I said "sorry" and tell him to do his thing. The guys delivered fast. To the Hospital entrance. I tipped ( of course). Treated my people. White pizza received complements. The Meat Lovers one ( with most things double) was the Best Pizza ever!!! Thank you Tony.

Oops - I ordered through grub hub and got the mushroom pasta, which I thought was a brown sauce (not tomato). I can’t eat tomato sauces. When I received it, I was bummed and HUNGRY! I called Paesans in Albany, instead of using grub hub, to order a new dinner, and said I would pay for it as it was my fault, I misunderstood the menu name. Not only did they say “don’t worry about paying” they get here in about ten minutes with a piping hot dish of mushroom pasta with cream sauce. Thank you!!! You were kind, fast, and as always the food was delicious.

My favorite is white broccoli pizza with extra garlic and they use REAL GARLIC. It’s delicious. Web orders are super easy and convenient for a smooth pickup experience!!! Management always professional, inviting and setting a great example for the surrounding community. Proud patron!

My family isn’t from the area and we wanted to find the best pizza we could find in the area and after trying 2 places on our short stay this place takes the slice for sure. Great slice for 20 years. Started eating pizza here during college, still can't get enough. Glad to say that they have maintained their quality all these years. The pies are large, 18"across. The crust is just right, not too crisp, not too chewy. I usually just get plain cheese; their sauce is great. The sauce also goes great with pasta, try the stuffed shells or ravioli, you will not regret it. Still popular among college students, so it will get crowded on weekend nights. No frills place, pizza by the slice on a paper plate is their biggest seller.

Our absolute favorite place to get the best pizza in Albany! My favorite garlic knots, and antipasta salad are the BEST!! We've been getting our favorite foods there for over 10+ years!!

Make sure that you order these famous frozen pizzas. They are the perfect size, are super easy to cook, and taste like a legit NY pie (coming from a born and bred new yorker). High heat oven, 9 minutes and you will be good to go. Thank you Frank!

If we are out and about wanting pizza, this is where we go. The prices are good and I love the pizza. The employees are friendly, fast, and patient. It's easy to order by the slice or pie. There are many different food options. The atmosphere is good and the restrooms are clean.

FANTASTIC!! I placed a very large order in the middle of the lunch rush and it was ready in 20 minutes! Several hot subs and boneless wings. Everything was delicious!! Chicken Parm, eggplant Parm, sausage peppers onions, Philly cheesesteak. All amazing!! Highly recommend!!

Covid is still around. Both of my parents have Covid with my mother in the hospital. I wanted to order groceries for my father and have them delivered. His ONE and ONLY request was could I order him some frozen pizza’s from Paesan’s?! Of course I said yes. I ordered him 5 pizzas to start. ( Since I know the pies are so amazing I was afraid if I ordered 10 he would only eat all 10 pies.) I will order another five next week. The fact that my father feeling awful and the only thing he wanted was Paesan’s pizza’s speaks volumes. The pies taste like a slice straight out of a pizza oven. The sauce you can tell is homemade. The dough they perfected!! You are truly missing out if you don’t order Paesan’s frozen pizza’s. They are great presents to give to family members too! Absolutely Delicious every time!!

I ordered margherita pizza and calamari for delivery. The calamari were still delightfully crisp even after being held in a container for the ride. Pizza was everything I expected in a pizza in New York - deep flavors, freshly made. Delivery staff was polite and friendly. Will order again if I'm in the area.

I felt it was about time I reviewed this pizza restaurant ❤️. I was first introduced to Peasans Pizza about 4 years ago. Absolutely 💯 the best in the capital region. Ontario location the staff is the friendliest. Sauce is delicious really hits like an authentic NY slice should. Love ❤️ Peasans

Best of the mid slices around. If you set your mind to it you can really get sick of all the meh-whateva pizza slices all over town. This is my go-to for now. The Noho/Soho places have dropped into the bottom tier. While Sovranas will always have a place in my heart, it is dough and Luke warm for a lunch slice. Paesans may not have the premium topping but 8 bux for two slices and a 12oz soda is still reasonable for these desperate times in Albany's quick-slice scene. As crappy as some of these places seem to the connoisseur of New York's finest, there are more than several tiers of Albany pizza places whose quality is so bad as to not even register on this scale.

My family lives in Schenectady and for the past 2 years when we visit our go to favorite place to eat is Peasan's. This year I ventured out and tried the bake Ziti and it was delicious 😋, being a non meat eater there aren't much places to eat but the pizza and ziti here was my go to dish whenever I needed something good to eat! Paesans has been around for quite some time. They have the best garlic Parm wings in this town. 10 out of 10. I’ve tried a lot of the garlic Parm wings around this town and I know for a fact I always come back to Paesan’s. Great customer service, their staff is always so kind.

It reminds me of the local pizzerias of my childhood around NYC. Lots of pizza places have become fancy, but this place captures that unique nostalgia for a local place to grab a slice or the lunch special. Regardless of the atmosphere they make good pizza. I usually get delivery to support a local business, but I had lunch there today and it brought back a lot of good memories. The manager is a nice guy every time I've been there and cares about customers. The delivery guys are always good about calling and waiting for me to pick up the pizza.

Another long day with dad at Albany Med.. since we opted to skip lunch and have an earlier dinner... I knew where we needed to go... Paesan's Pizza ! 😋🍕🍗 We brought a well deserved dinner to Matt over at Hilton Garden Inn Albany Medical Center who has been excellent with customer service over the last few weeks too! I've always loved the taste of Paesan's but this time got to share it with my mom too! Feels like family when you are at Paesan's! Supporting local businesses that support their community is so critical! Awesome job to Franchi & the team here!

I've finally discovered some decent pizza, but I couldn't give it a five star rating because the dough was too hard and the pizza was a little too salty.

Ordered a spaghetti dinner for delivery that came with a salad. Food wasn’t the issue it was the fact that the meal came with NO utensils. To make it worse the delivery driver himself tells me that if you don’t ask during your order then you don’t get any utensils delivered, which the store verified when I called back.

I have visited this place many times before and I have received good service and a friendly atmosphere. My recent visit I had the special which is 2 cheese slices and a can of soda. While the slices were hot and fresh, it was also oily as you could see the pooling oil on top of the cheese. It was all most dripping off the slices, and the cheese was in part sliding off of the crust. I chose not to say anything that evening as it was a difficult day as it was, and I just didn't want to compound it by complaining to the management. In my experience this is not the norm for this place, but I do think more attention needs to be paid to prevent that. At a cost of $6.25, I cannot say it was an enjoyable dinner. I will return as a customer as stated above, and that this is not the norm in my experience, but if it should reoccur then another place will be visited.

I placed a delivery order 1.5 hours before close. Half an hour later I receive a call from the store asking me "if I want to leave a tip for the driver because they're about to close". It really didn't make much sense and I planned to tip in cash upon arrival so I don't know why I received that solicitation. Not to mention 1) there is already a delivery fee and 2) the driver ended up bringing it to the wrong door anyway so what did I really tip for lol. Margherita pizza was only okay. The crust is extra tough for some reason and the cheese/sauce ratio didn't really qualify it for a margherita

Despite the high prices, they're usually still good with orders, but not this time. $50 on a calzone and 16 wings and they forgot my marinara sauce. The calzone was damn near ALL cheese. Where are my pepperoni, sausage, peppers & onions that I paid $1per freaking topping!?

Ordered food from there a bunch and a bunch of times they screw it up used to be on point but the past year down hill. Last time I ordered we had Chunks of plastic in our food. Needless to say the last time I will order there.

Great tasting food, sadly it always shows up over an hour late and is freezing cold and is very overpriced. I live within 2 miles of the East Greenbush location and they always deliver to me over an hour late. As I write this I placed an order 55 minutes ago and it still hasn't arrived...

I regularly buy Paesan's pizza, especially the Grandma Pie, or Brooklyn Cobb as it's called at this location. When there were issues with the neighborhood & now St. Rose closing I have encouraged people from my office (a major hospital) to support the business on Ontario. I have gone in for slices since 2014 when I moved to the area & I have always been treated with respect. Last night 10/19/24 will be my last time entrusting this location with my delivery order. Myself and a friend ordered pizza & wings and were split on pepperoni or cheese. We ordered a cheese, when it arrived over 45 minutes later it was pepperoni, went to grab a slice & realized it also had maybe bacon & asked if we ordered pepperoni or cheese. I called them immediately to let them know of the issue. The woman who had taken my order answered and was kind. We told them we'd opened it & would keep it if necessary, but She sent the delivery driver back & said he would give the correct pizza. He takes the 1st order & gives a different pizza. We open it upstairs and this one is sausage, mushroom & spinach. I really can't believe it & we call the driver back. He says he has no other pizzas. I say we can take the first one back if they haven't got the cheese, he says no & says we'll need to wait for him to come back with a cheese after delivering the others. I call the restaurant a few minutes later to see if they have it there. The woman answered and I explained the conversation and say if you haven't made another we'll just eat the first one. A man gets on the phone and immediately starts screaming at me. "Why would you touch it if it's not yours" I calmly explain that I hadn't realized in the moment and didn't expect the other pizza also to be wrong. He continues yelling why would you touch it? Do you want to pay for the pizza? And I say no, I already paid for a cheese pizza an hour and a half ago & still have no cheese & 2 other pizzas have been in my house now. Getting touched, getting cold and now off to someone else's house. He continues yelling that I will need to pay for the pizza, and I tell him he needs to keep all his pizza & refund my order. He goes on saying I will make your little pizza now, I say no. I do not want a pizza made by someone who is enrage and yelling at me, and knowing he will send 2 pizzas to unknowing patrons is disturbing. He keeps yelling about why would I touch it. I worked in the restaurant industry for over 20 years. You absolutely do not serve food to someone after accidentally serving it to someone else. There's a reason things have safety seals on them. Delivery foods should be included in this. I tell him refund my money and keep the pizza. This morning I wake up to the initial charge on my card & another $20 charge for the pizza. Neither of which were received by me. Because I used my debit card I can't stop payment. I now need to dispute the transaction after it posts which I will be doing. Don't order from paesan's Ontario. Since the father passed the place is a disaster. I doubt this was one of the Scavio brothers. This person was giving dead end and dissatisfied, unable to satisfy middle aged middle management. The type who is either hitting on or screaming at staff, this man should be fired immediately and the department of health should inspect. It's a shame. The sauce, that's what makes the pizza here so great. And like all masterpieces, apparently it's made by a mentally unstable mad man. 🤌🏻

Pizza very good but new style huge wings have to go. We usually order the garlic Parm wings and sometimes one of the other flavors. They were very good normal sized and crispy. The other night ordered pizza & wings and the wings were huge, not crispy at all and we didn't eat them. We called the next afternoon to complain. They honored the complaint & made us more but they were huge as well. The guy in pizza shop said that they received complaints that wings were too small so assuming this is the new wing for them. I beg that you go back to the normal size small wings or sell both sizes and ask the customer at the time of ordering, which size they prefer. If they don't change back I will only order pizza for now on. A wing is not supposed to be big as my arm.

We were going there all the time but in the past 2 month's our slices were HORRIBLE!!!!! I think they put the leftover slices on a pan until they get a whole pizza together then put it in the display case and reheat and serve which I KNOW had been the case!!!!! GROSS!!!!! GREED and grease! They make it impossible to use coupons they offered ! Now they refuse to deliver pizza using a coupon, yet the coupon does not state this. Unfortunately the price of this pizza has skyrocketed along with the grease. The service has declined also and it used to be one of our preferred places. So sad !

Ordered a salad and I had hair all in my salad pulled out about 2 or 3 pieces. Called back to let them know and they responded by saying nobody in there establishment has long hair and basically called me a liar. The hair was black and curly so clearly wasn't mine and was entangled in the salad. This grossed me out and i couldn't even finish eating. I was offered no refund but instead $10 off my next order. Yea as if I will order again.

Ordered Ben and Jerry's with my order for desert. Arrived early for pickup. They must have set the ice cream out as soon as I ordered. It was completely liquid. And for 5.99 for Ben and Jerry's that's unacceptable. Ice cream needs to be kept cold! Yuck

No good customer service chicken tastes old like they re-used food unacceptable they should be reported to the health department for a review. I ordered from them via grub hub at 9:27 and I 1.63 miles away from them. I never received my order and as soon as morning hits I will be calling to speak with the manager. Growing up with this pizza I certainly noticed a decline in the overall quality. I recently called them to order pizza to try them out again, the pizza was so overpriced I simply hung up. This is not the pizza place for you or me.

Horrible Pizza shop the worst in the state. The girl on the phone was so rude and arrogant could not get our order correct after I repeated it 3 times and she read it back they still got it wrong. We payed $25 for a cold Pizza and .79 each for sauce for garlic knots because it doesn't come included and still only received two when we ordered three.. After waiting an hour and a half For our incorrect order the delivery driver was also loud and rude yelling in my face at my house about me letting him know the order was incorrect and demanded a tip anyway. The garlic Knots were also burn on the bottom but cold when they got here.No one should ever order here again.Because the service is horrible, the food is cold and they cannot get your order correct for overpriced marinara sauce and pizza. I ordered through Goldbelly and it was delivered in very good shape, but they’re terrible. There was hardly no ingredients inside very dry. Nothing but bread live, and learn will never do again.

Went in for food around 8:30, and they mentioned they were closing as we walked in despite their website saying they close at 9PM but they still helped us. Throughout ordering they were very rude and passive agressive, two of the employees shook their heads at each other, clearly annoyed by us. I understand if you're trying to close early, but just lock the door and don't serve people. Don't let paying customers in just to treat them poorly because you decided to close at early.

It was hair in my sons pizza. When I called the restaurant back to let them know, I got hung up on. Do not recommend if you’re not wearing any hair nets while making and serving food and very disrespectful workers.

Rotterdam NY store. They were playing anti American propaganda faux "news" network while I waited for my take out order. I asked that the channel be changed or the TV turned off. They refused even turning the TV on after I turned it off. So there is no rating on food as I took a refund and took my business elsewhere.

I placed an order after a rough day and was putting my baby to bed when the pizza arrived so my phone was on silent. The driver had texted asking me to come out and get the food, and left without leaving the pizza. I texted him back when I saw it and he came back. I met him outside and he was upset with me. I called the restaurant to say I had a bad experience and see if I could adjust my tip and was told that they don't drop food off, it has to be a hand to hand transfer (which is fine, but like would have been good to know when I ordered the pizza) and the manager asked what the problem was since now I had the pizza. I'm probably emotional from baby and toddler related sleep deprivation, but I ended up sobbing on the phone. So, heads up, make sure you're available to physically receive your pizza.

They are charging $1 for a cup of tap water. Claims he pays a lot for cups.. BUT Coca Cola and sprite give FREE paper cups if they serve there products in the restaurant. Wouldn’t walk in that place even if they paid me to. Disgusting business practices!!

First of all, I ordered my food at 7:50 pm. They site says they close at 9. I get home to shower before I go pick it up and they are blowing up my phone to tell me they close at 8:30pm. I get there and I get the food and get home and the wings look like this. NO WHERE else have I ordered wings and they are dried out because they are “hot”. The store was closed so I couldn’t call back and complain. I called and he basically told me to bring the wings back which is a health hazard. So I called the food and health department and complained about that. I got off of work and I wasn’t going to Uber home to get some wings and Uber to Paesan’s and they not giving my money back…. So I ubered there with the video. Long story short the wings looked like this and he said all the wings looked like this. He could’ve just given me the money back for the wings but no he wants to deny me and say he’s not gonna give me any free food. So I took my business down the street and will not be returning to Paesan’s. I honestly don’t care how good the pizza is. Customers are always right and now I will be going on TikTok to share the video of the wings and how he said all the wings look like that. When you make barbecue wings and they are hot… do they look dried out like this? No they don’t. Very disappointed in Paesan’s. They wouldn’t even give me the corporate number but that’s ok because I called the health department anyways 🤷🏾‍♀️

The man who delivered is CREEPY. I spoke to Natasha when I placed the order. I ordered a CRISPY chicken salad, a 2 Liter Diet Dr. Pepper, and a six cut pizza crispy with mushrooms. The bill came to $39 or $40. I explained to Natasha that I have $20s and please ask the delivery person to bring singles and fives. I asked for singles more than once. I was given a 2 Liter Dr. Pepper soda, the pizza, and the salad and broke a $20 bill with the delivery man. He gave me a $10 bill and 2 $5 bills despite having told Natasha I wanted singles (so that I could choose a tip amount). Remember everyone: TIPS is To Insure Proper Service. Anyway, I had to ask multiple times for singles. PREDATORY. CREEPY. Then I was told that I could have a 2 Liter Pepsi seemingly tonight OR I could have a 2 Liter Diet Dr. Pepper delivered tomorrow OR not at all as "stores may be closed". I had already tipped him because he INITIALLY said that he would return with the Diet Dr. Pepper and tipped him $3 planning on tipping him again when he returned with the Diet Dr. Pepper. Review: I tipped him $3 because he initially told me he would return. AFTER tipping him I received the tonight OR tomorrow OR store information. Clearly he didn't like the 7.5% tip. So I called and spoke to Natasha after a poorly communicative man answered. I told Natasha above. After a 4.5 minute hold her resolve was to drive 2 cans of Diet Dr. Pepper at 24 oz. total vs. a 2 Liter Diet Dr. Pepper because she "misheard" me. Diet Dr. Pepper is ONLY available in cans at Paesan's. I have no way of knowing this. She offered this PREDATORY mathematical amount due to supposed price. Oh! And the online menu prices are LESS than the ACTUAL prices. For example: the online price of a crispy chicken salad is $10.99 yet my receipt has a different price: $11.99 which is ANOTHER PREDATORY financial issue from Paesan's. I opened the salad while on hold. It was NOT crispy chicken. Rather, it was GRILLED chicken. NOT what I ordered. 2 Liters is 67.628 oz. yet Natasha offered 24 oz. instead. Unacceptable! The images demonstrate online price lower than invoice price, NO soda can prices at all, and inability to know the price of a 12 oz. can of soda vs. a $3.99 price for the 2 Liter soda I paid for and did not receive. Further predatory behavior from delivery personnel is telling me $40 when I asked the price rather than telling me the precise price. A tip is NOT required but it is EXPECTED in American society. Worse, it's EXPECTED when service is awful. AVOID Paesan's!
