I've been to a few Popeyes locations and the one on Southern Blvd.(9W) in Albany is by far the best. The employees are friendly and courteous and the food is always hot and delicious. The manager at this location deserves a huge pat on the back ( better yet a raise). In these times when it's tough to get employees and ones that actually care about service, is a big credit to him/ her. Great job to your Popeyes Team !

Amazing staff! Ordered from doordash and didn't have option to add any sauces. Called the store and the lady went out of her way to verify that my order was at this store and took care of the sauce for me! Great customer service! And a bright spot in an otherwise rough week

This visit was awesome. The staff was very good with separating two orders. My best friend is in a nursing home and loves Popeyes Chicken. So I bring it to her when I'm in Albany. 2 weeks ago I bought one order what is the two-piece white meat for me and 3 piece dark meat for her. I asked the guy to please mark the Box which was which. I trusted him to Mark the boxes correctly and when I got home I had the dark meat she had the white so he didn't check Dulce what was in the box before marking them. We will both disappointed, but this time around the staff was very professional and didn't mix up our orders.

I love Popeyes Chicken! I don't have it around my part of the country, but out of all the ones I've tried, from Army bases to different cities or countries. This little one right here, has a staff that's rightfully proud of the product they make and serve it with a genuine niceness I haven't felt in a fast food joint in a long time. Well done:)

I don't get down to Albany very often but when I do I make sure to stop in! The staff is pleasant and the food is always hot and fresh... way better than the one in Clifton Park for sure.

I've ordered food online 3 times in the last month. Perhaps because I ordered at off-peak business hours, each time when I came to pick up, the food was either already packed to go OR I only had to wait a short time. Staff has been reasonably courteous and responsive. All orders were correct except for one time, I received a bonus chicken sandwich I did not order. Won't look a gift horse in the mouth on that one tho. 😊

This location is severely understaffed. Every time I come I see more people turn around and walk out then actually get food. All the Uber eats orders just overwhelms the two to three people working and nobody wants to wait 30 minutes For food so they usually go to Little Caesars. I totally understand that you can't find anybody to do a job under $20 an hour right now. Believe me, I've hired people for $26 an hour to clean apartments and they literally don't even show up the first day. Usually because when their boss finds out they're quitting they offer them a large incentive to stay. I say that to say this. Not having the proper staff is costing this location at least $500 an hour during the lunch and dinner rush. I've walked out in here half a dozen times this year so far and every time it's 50 to $100 walking out that door. I found the best place to find employees is to raid them from other companies. If you're the manager of the Popeyes, go over to McDonald's and try and steal their employees. Give them more hours or better pay or something.

Stuck at work on a Saturday. Can't figure out what I want for lunch. I want chicken, but the chicken joints in the area are not that good. It's not necessarily the chains themselves that suck. It's a failure of management that the staff doesn't care. Then the service, food quality, and cleanliness all suffer. I decided to try Popeye's. This was my first time checking them out. Online ordering was easy enough. Walking in, everything seemed clean and well maintained. Service was crisp and attentive. Sat down with my food and let me tell you, it was fantastic. Really, this was some of the best fried chicken I've ever had. Moist, flavorful, cooked to perfection. As I'm sitting there, thoroughly enjoying my lunch, I see the manager making rounds in the dining room. Checking the floors, wiping off tables, straightening chairs. Guy had a hard Gustavo Fring vibe goin on. I like that. Long story short, I'm really glad I went to Popeye's today. I will definitely return.

Ok, so recently this Popeye's has gotten new management and a new staff. This staff is good. I went at 9pm and still was greatest with energy and smiles. The whole place looks cleaner and the environment felt better after years of a rude, rushed staff and an attitude driven service. Hopefully all shifts are like this.

This was a great experience. Sometimes I feel like pookie on my way to the Carter, but I’m really headed to Hannafords and I say hmmm should I stop here. Twice now and have not been let down. Specifically tonight the whole crew working was on point, kind curtieous and went above and beyond. Thank you! I will definitely be back! Never had chic filet or how ever they spell it but I do not see myself going further uptown anytime soon for chicken.

AK always makes sure that you get the best customer service. When you are at the location, if you have AK as your server, then you are sorted. She should be definitely well appreciated at her job and promoted as manager. She has the best customer service skills!!

This is honestly the highest quality Popeye’s I’ve ever eaten out. No matter what time I made an order at the food was flawless. Perfect chicken, crispy fries, buttery biscuits. I think I have a problem as I cannot stop ordering from here once a week because the food is so amazing! The manager on duty is one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. Great not only to customers, but the staff as well who are generally pretty young workers. Although young, the food they push out has been so consistently amazing. Kudos to the owner of this location. Quality control is fantastic and really the ONLY, small, small issue is the sauces tend to be out quite a bit. However due to supply chain issues across the globe this isn’t exactly a problem that exists solely at Popeye’s.

The cashier at 8pm on 10/7 was very friendly. Even though the location was sold out of sweet'n'spicy sauce, my second choice was delicious and she was very helpful in communicating the outage. My mother's sandwich was also delicious and we have decided we like your coleslaw better than KFC. I will be back and that cashier deserves some recognition for her exceptional service.

The order is fast but the app doesnt update right away. It says they are processing ot but already ready. The food is good

It was my first time trying the chicken sandwich, while it was good, the chicken patty could’ve been crispier. Not too keen the sweet chili sauce. The chicken tenders were too thin, causing the ratio of the batter to meat to be off balanced. Clean location, free bathroom.

I love Popeyes. Food is fast, hot, and good. Shari always takes my order and I always feel like I ruined her day. Normally I don’t post reviews but hopefully this get seen because it’s happened multiple times. It makes your customers uncomfortable when it feels like you loathe their existence.

Went in to pick up a quick dinner. They were having technical issues, their registers kept rebooting (after my card was charged but before the receipt printed out). There were some issues and it took a little while but they hooked me up with some nuggets when they ran out of sandwiches. They did a great job in spite of all the technical issues, especially the manager.

I ordered the Spicy Chicken sandwich and a small french fry. The chicken was crispy, and the pickles and spicy sauce made it even better. If you have to get fast food, Popeyes is a good option. This location is busy, but the line moved quickly. It's a good example of Albany 'hospitality,' reminiscent of the soup restaurant in a famous Seinfeld episode.

Food was great and hot and service was good. Dining room needed cleaning but employees too busy to clean. No management in site and smoke detector kept beeping. Soda selection was limited but probably because of covid. Would try again. Don't go if in a hurry they get too busy.

I love Popeye's food. This location was extremely busy and has no drive-thru, they stopped taking orders to try and get caught up. It was on a Saturday at noon so I can understand it being busy but what I don't is no hand soap in the Men's bathroom & my wife saying there wasn't any toilet paper in the Ladies room. We did get our food and it was very good.

The food i ordered was a classic chicken sandwich (no pickles) with an order of fries. The fries were good but the sandwich was a bit salty. Loads of mayo as well which wasn't a plus, but that seems to be hit or miss. It's a busy spot so I won't say its bad...it was more obvious that it was rushed and they were a little flustered.

I know they are supposed to be amazing, and I've had many of their different food items, but the Coatings fell off the chicken and the cold biscuit didn't help the experience nor the older coleslaw. I know they can do better!

It hasn't been too many times I have gone in here and received proper customer service I usually get rudeness, attitude and wrong orders! They do have areas to sit and eat witch are nice and would be nicer if the tables were clean. The food used to be pretty decent now it's too greasy kids got stomach ache after eating here.

We ordered 24 pieces tenders and they gave us 6 or 8 pieces small signature chicken , my husband had to drive all the way back there to grab the right thing. How do you make that kind of mistake while the receipt is pinned on the bag ?

I have been there several times and the food is good, the treatment of the person at the food counter is not good at all, they serve you badly. I have felt discriminated against for not speaking Spanish, I realize that other American customers are treated with quality and I only receive bad service and they never deliver my order correctly. This has happened repeatedly.

The chicken was good. The advertised price for a twelve piece family meal was 28$. Decent price, these days. When we actually ordered it was 39$. Just beware of "deals" you see on Popeyes website. They probably aren't true. Had to wait about 25 minutes. So much for "fast" food. Might as well go to another chicken place or a sit down restaurant or pick up a couple chickens from the nearby Publix. Probably won't chance another Popeyes visit.

I placed a doordash order and tried to communicate three times I was there to pick it up because doordash didn't have that option. I ended up having to call customer service and have them tell employees it was ok for me to pick it up. They still sent my food out the door with the driver.

This seems to be a popular location. They are not properly staffed so service was slow. Ordering on the app I was able to skip the line. Once home the food wasn't very hot and there was only a little gravy on top of the large side of potatoes.

My eyes crossed trying to figure which direction the carbon monoxide alarms were beeping from. Based on their frequency , we wager there's about three that arent working. Feeling light headed, might be taking a nap in the lobby now...

One staff person working register. Manager dropping f-bombs, wait for 20 minutes just to place an order and only 5 people in front of us. No fries, no utensils or sauces. Total chaos at the register with people waiting for their food. Uber driver waited 30 minutes for previously placed order. Our food came out hot and tasty but service was poor.

This place has gone down! Chicken Luke warm over cooked, the rice and beans didn't have enough gravy was dry and the rice rubbery Mac and cheese cold and not cooked. Staff behind the counter using foul language. Been gradually going down since the passing of the manager in 2020. Get it together Popeyes! Get a manager in there that actually cares....

Customer service was poor I asked for Cajun fries and a biscuit but the server gave me Cajun rice, so I went back and explained to her that and she was being rude and saying I said Cajun rice. I apologized that it was likely due to the mask I was wearing and that I would pay extra if needed but she was still rude and put the bag on the counter away from me when I had my hand out to grab it. Other than that the food was good but customer service could’ve been better.

This place is nuts! There are at least 15 people working in the back yet the whole lobby is full. It's 4pm! If you had a drive thru it would be never-ending. This place needs to be ran more efficiently. I see ample chicken sitting on the racks under the lights. There should be no wait. I just saw a guy sit there for 30 minutes....that's unacceptable!

They gave my order to someone else by accident. I had to wait 35-40 minutes extra because the manager (purple shirt?) told the cashier to “not take any more orders” 😐 Also, for some reason they removed their mobile takeout shelf so you have to wait for their attention to get your food. I asked for thigh and wing on my two piece dinner. When I arrived home my wife looked into the box to see a wing and breast. Since the meal wasn't for me; I didn't check. However, my wife wasn't going to eat it. Moreover, it was either throw the food away or go back and I was headed back. Mind you this would be another 20 minutes out of my day and a 4 mile trip with traffic coming and going. So freaking upset they do this all the time.

stopped in a few weeks ago to get some chicken sandwiches, after a long wait in line , tried to place my order, the cashier said NO, they have no chicken, this was disappointing after a rather long wait, they could have post a sign somewhere as to that issue. on a previous visit there was a rather heated conversation between the manager and a disgruntled patron, so much so that i felt so uncomfortable i chose to leave. the staff there are always kind and fast to get you taken care of, so they are not the issue.

Love popeyes food, terrible system at this location. Why mobile order if you wait for other mobil orders to get finished and when they're not done instead of asking them to step aside start filling their order so that we wait an extra 15mins in line after driving 20mins to the restaurant. 35+mins later with some very cold chicken sandwiches and soggy floppy fries coming right out of the restaurant. Now to head home to hopefully reheat the food and salvage it. Find a better system please or just don't do mobile orders. Lesson learned better off ordering there.

.50 for sauce already paying $13 for a 3 pc chicken. 1 sauce is wild to charge extra can’t even give 2. Employees are super nice. Long wait for the food, parking lot sucks . Do yourself a favor and order your food on the app. They are typically busy and the line is long. For some reason every time I get more than one Buffalo sauce there’s always a hole in the package. I love their Buffalo sauce and was sad it was opened which meant I couldn’t use it. My son loves their chicken sandwiches and occasionally I get their nuggets/tenders. I love their biscuits. The strawberry one taste similar but with pieces of strawberry in it. Idk why I thought the entire thing would taste like strawberry but eh … it is fast food my dear. Overall I honestly don’t care to enter any Popeyes in New York they’re typically dirty in the lobby and the doors always look gross. But if you’re in a crunch and would like something inexpensive that can add rewards towards free food. This is one of the places I’d suggest. Use the app though!!!

I ordered a large spicy chicken sandwich combo, they forgot my biscuit so I walked back in to resolve the issue, and someone else was also having an issue with their order. The manager there (I assume because of the black dress shirt) was very snappy and rude to the customer. I got my biscuit.

Chicken is juicy and made fresh, tastes great! Love that all their chicken is Halal, that's hard to find in a Popeyes. 😞 Customer service could be better. I was charged some kind of extra charge since I used a coupon!!! Never saw that charge when I bought at full price😤Better get there early if it's not a holiday because they stop cooking chicken for some reason 3 hours before closing ..never understood that part. SHANTO has a bad habit of secretly mixing spicy and regular chicken into your box if they are running low on what you want, without even asking, even though they have enough! So if I get a 10 piece regular box they'll put 4 spicy, I DONT like spicy!!! Also, sometimes they offer sauces for free and other times this dude SHANTO wanted 25 cents a pack??? I bought $40+ worth of chicken and they told me to pay for one bbq sauce 🤔 If they improve customer service, ide give this Popeyes 5 Stars!

I order my food off of the app when I got to the location my food wasn't in the mobile pick spot. I waited a few more minutes before I addressed someone & the person behind the counter informed me that you have to let them know when you arrive so they can make the food. Nowhere in the restaurant or on the app does it give those instructions. The whole point of ordering it from their app is so when I arrive my food is ready.

Visited this location yesterday for a late lunch (it's probably my 3rd visit there ever). The lady that took my order needs an attitude adjustment!!! I ordered the 5-pc chicken wing meal and asked for a second biscuit as my side, because I don't like any of their other sides. She fussed with me on the fact that the meal includes a drink and a side, and that it already comes with a biscuit, which I already knew. I politely said, "Yes I know, but I want another biscuit so that I have 2." She then mumbled something to herself and walked away. Don't understand the issue with my request, being that biscuits are listed on the menu under Sides! She never gave me my cup before walking away, like all the other customers received, so I had to flag her down to ask for my cup. She didn't appear to like that very much, rolled her eyes, and then mumbled "We're not doing this today." Not sure what that has to do with me getting my cup so that I can get my drink from the soda machine while waiting for my food; like everyone else did. In the end, I never got my 2nd biscuit, so I paid for a side I didn't receive. And, the wings were mini wings, and weren't fried as crispy as they should have been. Since when are restaurants serving miniature chicken wings? They also lacked the typical Popeye's flavor! Very disappointed with the whole experience!!!

Staff was rude and manager was worse. She was yelling at her associates and trying to publicly embarrass them. I paid extra for an additional side and they forgot it in my order. The rootbeer was pure seltzer water, no flavor. They were also out of EVERYTHING, no fries, no coleslaw, no bbq sauce, etc

Always loved their chicken but how is chicken not ready at lunch? Had to wait 20 minutes. Oh, and there was no toilet paper or soap in either bathroom so I am not sure how much the health department would like that. I will not be back. Poor management.

This one hurts because I Love Popeyes, and I especially love this Popeyes. This was a horrible experience. I ordered my food online using the app. I went to Popeyes and say they were busy. As I waited I started talking to the other people waiting and noticed that we all had one thing in common. Mobile orders, so I went to the counter and asked about mobile orders and were told they are working on it. As time goes on i see people ordering at the counter, getting their food, and leaving. Again started to talk to the people around me and they were waiting 30 min. So I asked again about the mobile orders and was told they are working on them. At this point another customer started to complain because his lunch hour was almost over. Soon after they started to mobile orders after the lunch rush. In total it took us almost an hour to get our lunch. I will not be going back to Popeyes for quite a while.

This place is the most unorganized place ever. They had one dude behind the register 3 people getting the food and one kid cooking the food. They ran outta Mac and cheese and taking it upon them selves to substitute the food with whatever they want. Then they are trying to give old fry to people (one kid didn’t make any cause he was going home in 5minuets) it’s sad that you have to apply pressure for fresh food or you’re order to be correct (mind you our order was $40)

If I could rate a 0 I would. The staff is so disrespectful and rude. Told me I could not have a refund for part of my order even though they were out of the item. The staff started to make fun of me as I’m waiting for the rest of my order. One of the staff asks what I’m waiting for and when I said the rest of my order she told me I couldn’t get it. Then when I started to get mad they “tried” to fix my order then told me they only had white meat and no fries too. They were really unprofessional and rude and didn’t tell customers after me that they only had white meat or anything.

Hands down the worst take out chicken I've ever had!!! I ordered the 3 piece meal out of the 3 pieces only half of 1 piece Was Eatable the rest was just skin and bones. The only reason they get 1 star is because of the Mashed potato and biscuit. Never again will I go to this store its a shame that a big chicken place can serve this type of chicken

I wish I could give it a zero star! We had ordered two chicken sandwich combo online 25 minutes ahead of arriving there. When we arrived they made us wait for half an hour for two sandwiches that’s usually already ready to serve. There were almost 5/6 other customers waiting for food as well. They’re talking, texting, gossiping everything but to give people their food. Wow!!

Came in the other day around 2pm and Miesha was very rude to me! She was working the register and kept rolling her eyes and said they were out of the hush puppy shrimp with attitude! On top of that she gave me the wrong order. She is very slow and disorganized. To top it off she did not ever think to Crack a smile, not once. Her customer service skills are lacking. Guess in these times we should be grateful and take what we can get.. at least there's a body in the store huh? Don't think I will be eating popeyes anymore.

This is the worst and I mean the WORST Popeyes I’ve gone too….. first things first outside garbages are over flowing and garbage is everywhere. The counter area where you would get your soda was disgusting no napkins lids for cups were filthy second thing we ordered our food they were out of a lot of stuff understandable the cashier who took our order didn’t give us a receipt for our order my boyfriend asked how we would know what was ours she said they would call our name he stood up front for about a half hour for our food I watched about 10 customers come in and go out with food so I went up front to see what was going on asked how much longer for our order the gentleman asked if I had my receipt and said no she didn’t give us one in the middle of her taking customers she told me I said I didn’t want it I ignored her response but she never asked if we wanted our receipt and I never denied one the gentleman then had to dig in all the receipts to find our order they never even started it I don’t recommend this place at alllllll and I will never be returning I live in Troy and thought our Popeyes was bad compared to this Popeyes I would give mine 100 star review. This place needs new management for sure

The worst Popeyes in the area wish I could of left zero stars tbh food always half cooked chicken is very oily I knowtis how most of them barely work but overwork this one English girl in the front I witnessed her being told to go back and forth doing serval things at once she deserves a raise and maybe things would go smoother if she had some help instead of being told to do everything however I will never go back to this location as I am discussed and whenever you complain they make it seem as if your the problem in my opinion this Popeyes needs to be cleared out and there’s this boy that works at night as well he usually does the drive through and the front who’s also English those are the only two who deserve to be there

Got the ghost pepper sandwich and after eating half of it instantly got the worst stomach ache followed with throwing up hours later. I don’t know if it’s the batter or the chicken but either way I will not ever be eating Popeyes again. It’s 4 am and I’ve been up with a stomach ache all night. Awful

Went there a week ago with a coupon for 10 pieces for $22 +tax. The cashier told me my total is $28. No way, let's do the maths. food was nasty they only had breast and wings it was disgusting I call back because they gave me 8 piece instead of 10 piece no one answered I left messages and no one returned my call as yet I will not be eating there anymore. Just the front door warned me not to eat there, but I did and regret spending my money. Ever since that manager passed away in 2020, that place in the worst.

Normally, this placed is packed, but its been a few months since we'd been here. This was at noon on a Saturday, but there was only 1 person inside and almost no cars parked out front. Strange for this Popeyes, based on past experiences. We ordered 2 combo meals, 2 biscuits, 1 with French fries, 1 with mac & cheese and 1 red beans & rice. We got 2 cups for our drinks as part of the combo meals. My wife selected Sprite, I selected lemonade. We sat down, waiting for our orders(we were eating in). We both took a sip of our drinks, then pulled away the cups and looked at each other. Both the 'Sprite and the 'Lemonade were nothing but carbonated water. Scowling, we just set the cups down. The order was called out. I went up to pick the order tray and asked for salt and pepper. A gent went to look, but couldn't find any anywhere. I shrugged and took the tray to our table. As I pulled the contents out, Rhee was only one biscuit, but looking at the invoice she only charged us for 1. The fries were cold and tough like they'd been cooked earlier and the left under a heat lamp for hours. The beans and rice were barely above room temperature as were the sandwiches. The Mac & cheese was at least hot. As we went back to the car, I wondered, "Was the food/sevice in such poor condition because there's not many people here, or is it, there's not many people here because the food and service are so poor?".

It’s my second time eating there and every time I get sick, and first it was diarrhea after eating and the second time which was yesterday. I start vomiting and it was so bitter and my tummy feel so weird. I don’t know what’s going on.. it’s not only me but also my other family members who ate had diarrhea also.

I kinda figure out what they do with the so called buy 1 get 1 free orders . I tried so many times to order , never successful , it’s either they don’t have the food , or didn’t get my receipt , they never try to contact me until. AFTER delivery arrive . So my guess is, they somehow took the order themselves , and FORCE ME to cancel the order on the delivery app . NEVER ONCE succeed to get my food . Well, call that bad luck then , but only w Popeyes . Weird .

If I could give 0 stars I would. Don’t go here. I ordered 5 chicken sandwiches and they were in the foil bags ripped and filled with holes poked by the employees. They were all torn apart and a mess when trying to take the sandwhich out of the bag because the parchment paper wasn’t put in there. 4/5 sandwiches were classic when I ordered 3 spicy and 2 classic. I love Popeyes, but this one needs help with getting the orders correct and to the right people. We came in and ordered and waited 30 mins, never heard our number, we saw another customer go up and ask about their order to find it had been given out to someone else. We went up inquiring about our order, they got it ready for us then and we're apologetic, but we were still missing a sandwich. By this time we had waited for 46 mins, and just wanted to get out of there. Disappointed.

This place is always a hot mess. They’re always out of something. The chicken nuggets I received were all bread, barely any chicken. Service was great, employees were very kind. Whoever manages the orders needs to get it together because every time I’m here they’re out of everything.

Wish I could give No stars! Waited 40 minutes for cold chicken and the shrimp basket I ordered was the suitable size for a 4 year old. The cashier was digging her nose and she was dressed as a manager. There were 2 other managers there and about 6 staff support and the place was Filled with people waiting and it was Impossible to social distance yourself from anybody. Will Never Return again!

You will not receive all of the food that you paid for. I have been going here for years and never had an issue until recently. Not only was my order incorrectly placed, they didn’t give me the number of chicken pieces I paid for. I have an eerie feeling that this is not accidental having worked at a Popeyes many years ago. The chicken pieces are inventoried nightly. The left over chicken from not giving the correct number to customers is considered extra at the end of the night.

THIGHS, NOT BREASTS: I had been noticing the quality of the taste and texture of the chicken sandwich at this Popeyes had severely diminished, but I thought it was a nationwide thing with Popeyes. Today I found out exactly why I had been feeling that way. I bit into the chicken sandwich and it was just way too chewy and fatty for a chicken breast. Not to mention the way it was shaped just did not look like a chicken breast at all, and had been having this odd shape for a while now. So I decided to, open the sandwich up and take a look since I wasn’t enjoying it enough to finish eating it. What I had discovered was that the chicken sandwich I was eating was not made with a chicken breast, but made with a boneless chicken thigh. I checked my son sandwich in the same thing, a boneless chicken thigh. Popeyes advertises their chicken sandwich as a whole chicken breast. When eating bone in chicken, my favorite pieces are the thighs but ironically enough I don’t eat much of the skin because it’s very fatty and the fat found on the actual meat itself. I also take off the chicken before eating it. So I am well aware of the structural make up of a chicken thigh. Second-guess everything that comes from this place. Next, they’ll be selling whole different animals and calling it chicken. I wish I had taken some actual pictures, but all I took was a video that I will be uploading to every social media sight I can.

This restaurant is desperately in need of new management. I observed that a customer ahead of me had to tell an associate to change her gloves because she was touching her face more than once. Associates are unprofessional and unsanitary. Productivity is halted to a minimum. Orders are consistently forgotten. I would not recommend that anyone order from this restaurant during COVID.

I love the food and was visiting often but one of the workers there is incredibly rude. I asked for a simple straw, and was told "im not getting anything for nobody". That was the last time I will ever be going to this specific popeyes

Ordered 3 things. A shrimp tackle box sun Cole slaw for fries , a 12 nugget combo and a spicy chicken sandwich combo. Asked for tarter and cocktail sauce for the shrimp and sweet hear sauce for the chicken. Got home and there was no Cole slaw. No tarter and no sweat heat. They asked me 2 times at the speaker of the order was correct and once at the window confirmed the order. AND STILL GOT IT WRONG . Also. They ran out of small cups. Said I had to give you one medium. And only filled it half way. I know the other half a cup would have definitely put the company into bankruptcy

Ordered 8 piece butterfly shrimp and received 2 and popcorn shrimp. Asked for refund and was told repeatedly they do not give refunds. Tried to contact corporate but nobody will answer phone. Eventually cancelled charge with bank. BEWARE!

I ordered here on postmates and my driver stole my food. After the app kept sending multiple drivers i asked the last driver to let me know if they have my food or not because i wasn’t getting any updates and she informed me that the employees said someone took the food already. The Popeyes employees there told me to cancel the order and reorder the items and they can give it to a new driver. So that’s exactly what i did. I ordered my food AGAIN. A driver went to the location and when he got there the app immediately put another driver on the order. I called this driver and told him to put me on the phone with the popeyes employees. They told me that they did not have my order. I explain that i placed another order just like they told me to do. They then said that their system doesn’t put in orders that seem like duplicate orders. So my question is… why would they have me put the same order in??? They are a waste of time at this place. Also, most businesses have the delivery drivers confirm that they have the items before letting them walk away to ensure that there isn’t any stealing of food. Not to mention they can’t say they were busy or anything because I placed my first order at 12:30 am on a thursday. That is not a busy time for them

I usually like Popeyes, but this visit was rough. I ordered a simple meal and everything tasted fine at first, but an hour later I ended up feeling really sick and I’m pretty sure it gave me food poisoning. I’m not trying to bash the whole place, but this experience was bad enough that I won’t be coming back to this location for a while. I hope they check their food handling because nobody wants to deal with that.

The wings were very small and over cooked, one crunched and crumbled like it was forgotten in the fryer forever. Won't be making this mistake again. Thought after it was recommended to us the wings were going to be big and delicious however that was misleading. DON'T ORDER POPEYES WINGS

The Popeyes, in Albany NY, just lost one of its loyal customers NOT because of its food and quality BUT its customer service. Their customer service has recently gone downhill despite their newly renovated look. I loved their food so much that I had learned to simplify my order so that it’s better to be understood: “8 pieces, dark, chicken only” or “8 pieces, drums and thighs, chicken only”. However, despite my effort, they always got my order wrong by having it mixed up with “breast and wings”. And that’s what happened today again for the 4th visit. My order was fixed with a side of ATTITUDE??? As a customer, I should NOT have to check my order EVERYTIME and find that it is WRONG EVERYTIME. Updated review: A friend asked me to posted pictures of uncooked chicken they bought from Popeyes. They were extremely disgusted. There goes another customer.

Hadn't been in so long, always good before. Wow what a let down. Right from ordering, the guy was down right rude to people. Interrupted my ordering to yell at customers. I ordered 3 PC combo and the new Mac and cheese. Chicken was room temp, I ordered spicy, got regular. Looked like it was tossed around, half breaded. The Mac & Cheese was luke warm and flavorless. Not sure what a full portion is but my serving container had about 5 bites at a pricey $3.49. Nothing like the picture in the front window. Not going back Not recommend.

I ordered a three-piece tender with mashed potatoes and Hawaiian Punch. I'm having a hard time figuring out if this is fried chicken or fried fish the consistency of the chicken is scary and I will not be eating it. Also the chicken is so thin that it's almost not visible. It seems the employees tried to compensate by giving me more of the awful food instead of a quality three piece that I ordered. Also the "Hawaiian Punch" that I received is carbonated and Hawaiian Punch is not a carbonated drink. It tastes like soda water with grenadine dumped into it.

Unfortunately coming in we got a front row to Harry, I believe an assistant manager, berating an employee at the front counter, then actively ignoring multiple guests while continuing to simply argue. Very unprofessional.

So I’ve been coming here for a while getting a quick lunch and heading back to work but now they have a new manager Rabi very rude guy I mean at first I just called her that maybe he’s just you know that’s just as demeanor but the food the oil you can taste the oil in the food because they don’t change the oil I will not go there no more he’s too rude. I just tried one more time and he’s very disrespectful. I wish they bring the other manager back. That was here. He was great. He was friendly and he made sure his customers were always happy and satisfied I mean, that’s what it should be all about, right

I ordered a Popeye’s Spicy Chicken Sandwich in-store. The service was quick—I received my sandwich within 30 seconds, which initially made me feel happy and impressed. However, the experience completely changed once I started eating. The bun was extremely soft and soggy, and the chicken did not taste fresh or good at all. After just one bite, I couldn’t continue eating it and had to throw the entire sandwich away. It felt like a total waste of money. Fast service doesn’t matter if the food quality is this poor. Very disappointed with this visit.

These guys play games with your receipt and try to scheme a dollar here and a dollar there with random charges and hope you don't look too closely. I've felt suspicious about their receipts over the past few visits and finally decided to double check. This cashier randomly added 2 fifty cent surcharges for something that was already surcharged. He lied to me when I confronted him about it and tried to claim that the app is cheaper than in-store. Then tried to make it seem like it was automatically added by hitting the surcharge button quickly as if I wouldn't notice it. This is an active scam that must amount to hundreds or thousands of dollars over time given their volume. Scummy scummy behavior.

Cashier very kind , and helps me. Order too quick prepared that’s why quality fails. I ordered bacon sandwich, I see that the bacon is so small they cook 1 bacon slice in 3 parts and says that are 3 bacons. Each bacon 1.5 inches seriously. I asked kindly for this situation and she mad at me that has the 3 bacons …. The cashier just said ok I help you but the woman don’t want to just give a good service , she fails from the start and people with that mindset can’t work there. She show me the pictures of the 3 bacons that need to be placed on the sandwich and are not the same that she prepare. Values of Popeyes are very important, and the Quality has to be outstanding. Popeyes please verify how the bacon is managed there. A 16$ sandwich need to have the quality it deserved. And trust me bacon will get you more customers. I will never come back here. Sorry. I am industrial engineer and be treated like this is very sad. Since industrial engineer focus on kindness and high quality to customers. The cashier was very kind and thanks. She need training in customer service.

They were upsizing my order without my permission as many of the other 1-star reviews noted. I had to insist on a small side order and also demanded a small drink but of course they didn't have small cups so I had to take a large tea at medium price. To top it off they gave me sweet tea when I had made clear that I wanted Unsweetened tea. I'll never come back to this store again.

CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS!! They upcharged me by almost $2 and tried to explain it as “tax,” when the tax was clearly charged separately on the higher price. Bait and switch, and previous reviews show this is habitual! Don’t go here!! They will steal your money.
