Opinions de The Fountain Restaurant Albany
My favorite restaurant ever nice staff the pizza is really really good try it and let me know what you think.
Ok everyone. So this was possibly the best food experience I may have ever enjoyed. I come here all the time and never had the priveledge of meeting the co-owner John Romano in the flesh. Until now. He was sporting a beret and a paper thin mustache. Recognized me as a constant customer and bought my whole meal on the house!! Anytime I’m in a fight with my wife or near Albany betting on the horses I WILL stop in. The French onion soup is just to die for and the service is so incredible and the wait time is next to nothing! May quite possibly be the greatest overall restaurant in existence!! Please come. My name is John Romano
This is just a great, dependable, delicious place! The pizza is wonderful and the service never fails!! We come for at least one or two meals EVERY time we are in town!! ♥️
Phenomenal Italian joint and I'm old school, grown up with Authentic Italian food from Worcester. Can't recommend it enough! The salad dressing is amazing, so is the Eggplant Parmigiana.
The waitress and food were both awesome. My friend I asked for a special pizza and it was made perfectly and exactly the way we wanted it. My compliments to the pizza maker
National pizza day 2024! We had to get the best pizza in town. Always great. Glad they haven't changed anything in the past 40 years
I’ve been going to the fountain since I was a kid. Wonderful locally owned family business, where usually one of the family is working no matter when you go. I don’t get there often but when I do it’s consistently good no matter what we order.
I love the pizza at the Fountain. My Son Josh and my grandson Jack went to lunch ,He always orders a large pizza and wings. I always end up with with three or four slices to bring home.#1 in Albany NY for pizza. Excellent staff Also.
We made a reservation for The Fountain Restaurant on Fri 1/13/23 for 5:30pm.This place is always busy. And has been a neighborhood go to for many years. The Romano family has won their customers' loyalty with great service & consistently good pizza. We were early and there were two seats open at the bar. So the bartender Tony moved our reservation to there. The bar works nicely for us here. Thanks Tony. We ordered a wine ($7) & a local craft beer,Jack's Abbey on draft ($9) while we looked over the menu. The Fountain makes great pizza, but tonight just wasn't a pizza night for us. My bride had a small Caesar salad w/ chicken ($10) right size for her. The large is not an exaggeration. I had the caprese sandwich-Fresh Mozzarella, Tomato, Basil, EVOO & Balsamic Glaze on Ciabatta bread ($11) Note: you can add chicken breast or eggplant for $4. more. Very good sandwich. In my opinion, this sandwich would be even better w/ some pesto spread on the ciabatta. Still a very good dining experience. Hours: Tues-Thurs 11:30AM-10:30PM (Kitchen Closes) Fri-Sat 11:30AM-11PM (Kitchen Closes) Sunday 12:00PM-10PM (Kitchen Closes) Closed Monday Street parking is at a premium but there is public parking behind the restaurant. Thanks again to Tony & all for another great visit. Nick Parisi & Liz Farrell, Albany, NY
Today I popped in after noticing it was close to my job. I was greeted as soon as I came in and couldnt help but notice how clean and organized the place is. The menu is perfect, something for everyone, even kids. While waiting for my food I struck up a conversion with Charlotte. She is a joy. I will definitely come back again. The BLT and mac salad was by far the best I've had in a long time!! 😊😊
Casual setting. You don't go here for the ambiance. You go here for the incredibly delicious food and great service. Perhaps the best burger i have ever had. The lasagna is simply spectacular. 2020 update: Sadly, I'm not sure this review is still accurate. I believe The Fountain may be under new management and initial indications are that the food quality is not the same.
I had a great lunch yesterday with my brother. I haven’t been to the fountain in many many years. Very comfortable place and nice atmosphere. I met the owner and she was super nice. I would definitely go again.
Wonderful neighborhood bar and restaurant that has a nice variety of items on the menu. My wife and I have been coming here for 24 years now and have never been disappointed by the food or the service. The staff are always friendly and attentive, and overall, it's a place to go when you want good food and conversation. If you've never been here before, stop in and be prepared for a nice experience.
This place never disappoints. They went out of their way to hand deliver an order that Grubhub messed up twice in a night. The fountain cares about their customer’s experience and the food is consistently top notch!
Excellent pizza and wings. Good deals on pitchers of beer. If you're looking for a place to enjoy those three things, you won't do much better than this in Albany! Highly recommend.
Albanys best tavern style restaurant. Been doing it a long time and still doing it better than anyone.
Service was fast and excellent. Went with a co-worker and a retired friend. I had the bacon cheese burger and my friend had the blue cheese burger. I couldn't finished mine but she did. I finished the rest later. We went at lunch time in the middle of the week, so it can be crowded. We go about every other month.
Met a friend here for lunch; we got there at noon, so getting a table was no problem. It had filled up by the time we left. The service was quick and courteous. Despite the fact that many reviews focus on the Italian food, this place knows how to cook a burger perfectly — better than most other places I’ve tried in the area. Also — when I asked them to leave the roll off, they did; other places have sent burgers out on a roll despite my request to leave it off. I’d go back in a heartbeat for that perfectly cooked burger!
We both enjoyed our lunch. The wings were great and my daughter raved about their charbroil grilled chicken sandwich. Our server could not have been better. Nicely done.
Came twice over the weekend, needless to say it was amazing, especially the gluten-free pizza ! YUMMY !! Staff is really nice and portion are really generous
We ordered corn beef Reubens...which were awesome...cooked to perfection..not fatty...the corn beef is cooked in house?!?! Sub a side salad instead of fries... the salad was very good sized and had a nice mix of very fresh ingredients. My Mom ordered the lasagna...which was also very good. My sister had the chicken fingers ala fountain...I would say this was kind of a combination of eggplant parm & chicken fingers..but read the menu...it sounds better than how I described it!! I tried this too and it was SO YUMMY!!! Don't live in the area but if I did I would regularly visit the Fountain!!!
One of the best Pizza and Wing joints in Albany. Now, there are better Wing places, and there are better Pizza places, but there really isn't a place that does both this good. It can be a bit awkward for large parties. They can accommodate them but not well. The price is more than fair and the service is great. They got a pretty good bar too with an okay selection. Nothing all that fancy but that's not what you should be after when you're looking for Pizza and Wings.
My wife and I met friends for drinks and dinner. We shared fresh mushrooms, peppers and onion pizza and it was delicious. Beware - the crunchy crust is addicting! We were seated at a large round table for 6 which was perfect for catching up with everyone. There is a large menu and we had attentive service. Off street parking behind the restaurant can be accessed from Ontario Street.
We ordered pizza topped with meatballs & broccoli. I don't generally like thin crust pizza, but I really enjoyed theirs! I would have liked more sauce. Service was good, friendly. Overall, a very good experience. I will gladly go again!
The Fountain has been in Albany for a long time and if you have not had the pleasure of going I tell you it is a must go.My wife just recently taken me and our family here on my birthday and what a great choice I had their pizza which is great and everyone that did not have pizza loved their meals. The staff is great and as it was my birthday my wife paid the bill and said it was very reasonable so if you if you are looking for a new place to try come to this old place and you will not be disappointed.
The bartender is a champion!! He makes, hands down and consistently!!, The best Hendricks martini around. I can't emphasize it enough. We have had some pretty mediocre to horrible ( bad olives) at some of the "fancier" places around. The pizza is good and we enjoy the jukebox!!
Absolutely wonderful! Amazingly friendly staff and service, delicious food! Quiet, clean, and cozy! The layout of the restaurant is perfect, there’s no clutter and plenty of space! They’ve got booths, table top sit-in, and a bar! Great spot for a first date (or otherwise ☺️)! I had a wonderful time, 10/10 would come again! Worth the drive even if you don’t live nearby, took me four hours one way and I didn’t regret it in the slightest!
We ordered many different things from fettuccine. Alfredo to pizza and even a couple of burgers. The food was wonderful and the weight staff phenomenal. I highly recommend this place if you're in the area!
A typical experience. Would definitely recommend!
Love the Fountain! Excellent food and quality! Staff are warm, friendly and very attentive!
Tonight my husband took me and my older son out to dinner for my birthday. Ironically back in 1992 when we first met he brought me here for our first date. . We have gone many times though out the years with Family and friends. Everything about the Fountain is amazing. They have the best French Onion soup in the area. A favorite of ours. The pizza is delicious as well. Nachos the best. Tonight I has shrimp Scampi. It was out of this world! My husband and son had burgers that they said were delicious as well. The staff went above and beyond beyond for us. Thank you all for a wonderful dinner and Birthday 💙
Food, service, atmospheric are tops. My priority is always, always the food. And the food is exceptional. Italian food that puts others to shame. Service is always excellent except for once and she is no longer there. It happens. Atmosphere depends on what you like. This is basically a bar that has excellent Italian food. There could be more items on the menu but I always have anything Italian. When I say bar don't think it's not a nice place. Bottom line, really good food. One of my 3 favourites in Albany. Very comfortable atmosphere. Not fancy. But remember you are there for the food.
Visited again today 8/2. Comments at the end. This will be a long review. Yesterday I visited a restaurant that has been around for a long time. [The Fountain] I remember going here 60 years ago. Wow, am I old! Jen was my waitress and she was also the bartender. She was very friendly and helpful. The Fountain is listed as an Italian restaurant and is known for its pizza. There are many other Italian dishes. I have had the pizza and it is very good . But one of my favorites is the burger with a side of tuna and ring mac salad. One of the few places with ring pasta. It is outstanding. I get the burger well done. It was cooked thoroughly but still moist. Just like I remember. VERY GOOD. I usually get a diet and beer and relax while waiting for the food. As I have said in other reviews, a pint is too much for me. The Fountain is one of the few places with a short beer 10oz . Great for me. The Fountain brought back memories from my adolescents. I will visit again. If you are in the area or can take a short drive, it is definitely worth the trip. Visited again yesterday. Met Ginger. She was very friendly and attentive. She waited on us. I enjoyed chatting with her also. My intention was to get a pizza. But I could not help myself in ordering the burger and tuna rings. Again, very good. My wife got a 10" pizza. She had some there and we took the rest with us. I had a small piece to try right out of the over. It was a thinner crust the way I like. It was a cheese and was good. Not exactly the way I remember but I usually got a topping and it was a long time ago. It was good and we both had a nice time and was glad we met Ginger. I will return and will try a pizza with a topping like I intended this time. Like I said before, worth the trip . Today 8/2, I visited and ordered my usual, burger and tuna rings salad, photo, (but already put the other half of the burger away to take). Well done as I like it but still moist . What can I say, was very good. Jen was there working the bar. My waitress was Silva, upbeat and attentive. Very nice. Had my usual diet and short beer, always a plus for me. Savanna brought out my meal. Also upbeat. Enjoyed the time there.
Simply the best! Mac salad, large cheese pizza, French onion soup, antipasto, local desserts, great variety of drinks. And great staff, Ginger was great, very kind and welcoming. I can't tell you how great it is to get the same kind service year after - year after- year after - year. They are always kind and can do a substitute if you are allergic. The locals keep to their own and they always have a Mets game on. Great place to have slice and enjoy a meal with friends and family.
I was meeting up with some friends to catch up and just wanted to pick up thr food to go. The soups were ready exactly when promised and were hot and delicious when we opened them up 10 minutes later. I love the French onion soup here!!! I also like to eat in when I can, great local atmosphere!!!
I would give it a 10/10 if I could. Everything was amazing. I was dead set on ordering pasta before we went in. When we seat down Ginger bartender/ server / owner told us the special. I instantly changed my mind to the Friday special Fish and fry. Fresh from the market fish, homemade slaw and amazing pickley tartar sauce. Everything I tried was great. We will definitely be coming back.
The pizza was excellent. I traveled from NC to NY with my boyfriend to see his family. He grew up eating pizza from this place and bragged about it endlessly. Well it didn't disappoint, the pizza is delicious and so is the pretzel bites. I was not a fan of the hot garlic parmesan wings. I thought they would be wet, but it was more of a dry rub. Overall, this is a great place to eat. Had a strawberry margarita and the bartender made a tasty drink
Took my sister out for a birthday brunch with her son and my 3 kids. I was absolutely impressed with how much food came out and how delicious it was. Was extremely happy when the chef came out to greet us and ask how everything was and if we needed anything else. Absolutely a nice man and our waitress was spectacular joking with my nephew and the rest of us. We were not treated as a first time guests we were treated like regular guests that they’ve known for a long time. Thank you for making our visit completely enjoyable
If your in the Albany area, or stuck at AMC or St Peter's then do yourself a favor and swing down and walk up to the bar. Warning this place is popular so a table could have a wait. However the pizza, the wings, even the blue cheese dip is great. Service is good, kitchen items are made to order but that did not mean slow like it normally means. Prices are very fair.
My feelings of this place are basically similar to if not the same as my experience at EMack and Bolio's. It's definitely not an upscale Italian place but it's not claiming to be, it's just a nice simple pizza / Italian place that definitely offers a much more refreshing experience from the snootiness of say Villa Di Como. Got Caesar salad and ravioli and both of those were really delicious.
I had a wonderful night with my family the other night. Wings and mozzarella sticks were amazing. Fries were good (I didn’t like that they put cheesy sauce on the fries, but okay…) Appetizers were overall good. Thrilled they had Southern Tier Pumking Imperial Pumpkin Ale (Nom nom nom!) The only thing I was disappointed with is the pizza. Personally, I am more of a thin/hand-tossed pizza gal. The pizza was good, and I’m not much of a fan of the thicker pizza crust. Toppings were delicious though. I’d recommend you eat all of the pizza while it’s fresh. When I microwaved the leftover pizza, it was a little moisty and floppy. It’s still ranked the best pizza in Albany, so don’t let my words stop you from trying! 😊
Stopped by for an early lunch on a weekday. Place was empty. The bar maid was a skilled at her craft. My plate was warm and better than expected. Parking lotis crowded. A well run owner operated gem.
I visited The Fountain on a very busy Saturday night. They were able to accommodate a group of 8 people at 7 pm. The server was fantastic yet food delivered slow and unfortunately the pizza missed the mark as it overcooked. They are good people that had an off night, hence the 4 star rating.
nice quiet local neighborhood bar. quiet on a sunday afternoon but had a couple of locals or regulars. wish I had a bar like this close to me. in walking distance to a lot of the neighborhood. had outdoor seating which was nice with the weather today. would have ordered some food but we only had a short time.
Part neighborhood bar, part pizzeria. Nice for both family and adults. My favorite staples are the burgers, grilled chicken and pizzas but the specials are usually quite good. Note that the Mac salad has tuna fish - which I find is an excellent touch but takes some by surprise. They're not exotic or fancy but excellent at unpretentious and informal (seat yourself).
I always enjoy the food. I usually get take out though, and I just wish they had a more straightforward pickup process (like, ideally a kind of off to the side or maybe near the back door little area that has a sign that says "pickup" or "takeout" so that I don't just end up standing around the end of the bar until someone notices me feeling like I'm getting stared at by everyone who is eating in...haha). But that's the only reason I don't give it a 5 star.
Enjoy going to The Fountain everytime. Last nights visit was just like the others . We got wings to share and a burger. Everything was cooked the way we wanted. Tony the Bartender was professional and friendly. Highly recommend The Fountain
Great neighborhood bar with decent food. Have never had their dinners aside from pasta dishes. They are pretty good. I have had their pizza, sandwiches and pasta fagiole. All tasty, but the pizza is heavy on the garlic. Ask for reduced garlic, if you're on a date. Menu could use an update. It hasn't changed much in the 30 years I've been going. Not sure if they still have live music on Friday. Good question to ask.
My husband and I frequent the fountain, usually, late at night after we get off work. The food is good. Our server was great, very friendly and attentive.cThe nachos are amazing! My husband's pizza was good, he added meatballs and they were huge pieces. I love myself a good burger and went with the bacon cheese burger. I asked for it medium and unfortunately it looked more like well done. It was a good burger, nice flavor, but would have been better if not cooked as much. We will be back!
Every one and a while I crave bruschetta and this restaurant seems to be the only one in the area that has it, I pick up my order after work and it’s always delish. It is awkward to pick up a Togo order from here though, there’s no designated area. you kinda have to walk up to near the bar and try to flag down an employee
We often drive to lake George and right past Albany but this time we were getting kind of hungry and decided to stop through Albany to pick up a late dinner. We were not disappointed. We dined outside, they were fine with our dog hanging out at our table. The food was very good... Wings were tasty cooked crisp. The French onion soup was excellent, antipasto and grilled chicken salad very fresh and tasty with a fabulous vinaigrette.
I enjoy this place. Started going there around 1980. We ordered 2 pizzas, meat lovers and plain cheese. The meat one was great, the cheese needed more love. Go there, get the pizza. Theirs is the best in the area of that style of pizza. It is unique. It's a welcoming place, and good for families. 2022 Update, pizza, wings, chicken Parm very good! Go get some!
We love to take out pizza from here! Unfortunately we did not have the same experience with the entrees when my wife and I had dinner there. The service was great, cannot fault our friendly waiter. The nachos were made with Doritos, the dinner salad was swimming in dressing and the lasagna was not good. They will continue to be our go to place for pizza though.
The pizza was ok nice place friendly service
t’s a decent pizza overall, but the cheese could definitely be improved and it could use more sauce. That said, it’s nice and crispy with fresh ingredients.
The Fountain is an old favorite. Everything is good here! I love the pizza. I had a reuben(it was a special that night) from here that was the best I've ever had in a restaurant. It's not trendy or imaginative, and that is the charm of the place. When I walk in to The Fountain, it always smells SO GOOD. It's a family run restaurant, family members are often waiting on you and/or making your food.
I ordered chicken marsala and it was very bland, there wasn't any marsala sauce visible on my chicken and rice. The waitress wasn't very friendly. The atmosphere wasn't very welcoming. We would not go back there.
I got their bleu cheese burger, possibly the worst thing on the menu. Overall presentation is wonderful and the restaurant is very mellow and calm
So the pizza is a new England style more than a Brooklyn . I asked for crispy but it was still chewy. I feel that three years ago it was a thinner crust or something. The sauce and cheese is amazing still . My take out experience has been interesting but if you go to the bar instead of waiting near the crowded bathroom in the back where the parking and kitchen is ,its way easier. That's a local guide hack for ya. Try not to go on the busy nights. Our waitress actually forgot she took our order. (Asked for it twice as. If she didn't remember we were there already for a half hour or so) We had reservations for a movie at 7 got there at 5:30 with reservations for 5:40 for four. Food didn't hit the table till 6:45. The food was good 👌 not extravagant but tasty and fresh. It's always moving and the recipes are classic. This is one of my favorite places , I'm being hard out of love . To me this place is an institution of a fast fading style. It's very reminiscent of pizzarias in the seventies or eighties. A simpler time feeling. I like to see them keep it going because the food is always good. Here we go ... Ambiance- 4 old school Italian pizzaria Food quality-5 Wine selection and bar- 4 Table service- (usually a solid 4) but for this review a 2 Parking-5 around back and on street Location-4 I hold honest reviews as a responsibility task. If it helps the owner see a flaw or a patron find great experience or whatever 😉.
The service was excellent. Bartender handled the bar and our table fluidly. The wine was good she said..we both agreed that the starter salad was the best part of meal. The chicken broccoli fettuccine looked delicious ..but the sauce was lacking. I had to add salt, pepper and parmesan to it but still wasn't enough. Just wish it had more flavor. Bartender was super sweet ..no complaints about her.
I used to absolutely love this place, I would go EVERY Sunday and some nights during the week. They have the best pizza and wing sauce. I haven’t been back in months after they got rid of one of the only good bartenders. I went a few Sunday's and the bartenders were different each time, and not good. I did not enjoy my time there anymore. We have not been back since. It’s hard to get good bartenders / servers and it’s awful they got rid of one of the only good ones. Her personality was amazing, she remembered our order and drinks without having to ask. She was always on top of everything, and kept it clean. I am still very disappointed.
Placed a order Tuesday before Superbowl Sunday for 4 :30 pm . Got there at 4 :30 they said they didn't have our order. Then they said they did have the order but it wasn't ready. The girl behind the bar said it's only 4:30 it will be a few minutes. 20 minutes later we received our food no apology. The girl didn't even attempt to take our money. I had to ask her what we owned. No issues with the food it was the circumstances of how the situation was handled.
Food was spicy and our server was awful. I would try another spot. It’s a shame as this place used to be good. You need to get rid of the blonde girl that was working tonight. She doesn’t have a clue what she’s doing. She’s nice but shouldn’t be a server. Sorry just an honest review that is warranted. Also no one came to us and I was standing there for about 5 mins waited to be seated and no place wasn’t busy when we got there around 4 today.
Just ordered the chicken broccoli alfredo. Plate is super small. They just put the chicken and broccoli on top of the noodles. Little to no sauce on it. Basically its a ripoff. Stick with the pizza or wings. The dinner is a joke for the price. Lanies Cafe will give you double the food for the same price and it will have sauce and some flavor. This was like a lunch portion but charged us for dinner. Come on now. At least pour some sauce over it. Alfredo isn't supposed to be dry.
Not much to write other than the food was not good. Standard bar menu of fried things and Italian, both of which are bland. Dressings tasted funny. Even the burgers tasted off. The bar was filled with what are probably their late middle age regular customers. The dining area is seat yourself. Nobody coming in seemed to know that, so it doesn't seem they get much repeat business. Staff were all very friendly. If your looking for bar food, try Grainie's just a few doors down, or Midtown Tap and Tea Room a few doors in the opposite direction for something more restaurantly.
Pizza was under cooked, the hot wings were not hot, and a adult grilled cheese is 2.00 more than a kids grilled cheese. But it is the exact same thing, carrot cake was sisco, customer had a dog sitting on a bar stool at the bar, won't be back
Good pizza, rude waitress. Made me and my family feel as if we were inconveniencing her. Got upset that we asked for condiments. Not a pleasant experience.
The food might be very good. The customer service might be very. I drive for doordash when I walked into the restaurant a gentleman asked me if I could wait or give him 8 minutes. That is the entire time it takes to make an order generally speaking. The time in my doordash application was assigned for pickup in 1 minute and I am on time at that moment. The store is receiving two stars due to the lackadaisical attitude for an on-time delivery for a customer.
I have always enjoyed the food but was very disturbed when I was there picking up a take out order on Friday night. I witnessed a male manager yelling at a young female waitress. He was screaming at her from the kitchen in front of customers and she was calm and not even talking to this man. A few of the customers were clearly upset as this young girl even calmed one male patron who was ready to go off on this guy. Very abusive and unprofessional. It upset a lot of customers including me.
Food was good but the service not so much. Waitress was not pleased to be serving us, not very personable at all. I asked for a seltzer with a lemon and my friend asked for a plain glass of water and the waitress brought me a seltzer with a lime wedge and my friend got a lemon in her water when she diddnt ask. They only filled our glasses once and charged us 3.50 for "large soda". Burger was good though haha.
Older setting that is a little out dated. Nice place to have a bite (share a pizza) and drink with friends. (Main reason to come here) Second time here and I lowered my 3 star to a 2 star. Pizza is on par with pizza hut had a similar taste too. The cheese isn't as good, very tough and chewy. $3.50 for a soda ok fine but I have to ask for refills when the water is refilled without asking. Place needs updating before it fades like the decor.
Today I had lunch with a dear friend. My sandwich was cold along with my fries. I used to eat there about 10 years ago and the food was good. I was so disappointed, I packed my food up and heated at home. I gave them a 2 because the waitress was nice. Don't think I'll go there again. 48 dollars for cold food.
Ordered from here before and the pizza was good. However ordered about a week ago pizza and wings) the wings were good. However the pizza was soggy and worse than frozen pizza. Found out there is new management. They need to take down the best pizza in Albany claim until this gets resolved
I've ordered delivery from here a couple times. Most of the time it's been okay. Tonight I not only didn't get the extra dressing I ordered for my salad...I got no dressing. It also took a while for my order to be ready. This place might be a good place to go in person... but I think I caught them at a busy time where their staff felt like giving the online customer the finger for bothering them at the wrong time.
I ordered chicken parmesan. The sauce had a strong acidity flavor and the whole plate was smothered in it. The breaded chicken was soggy and pretty unappealing. I did not enjoy the meal and would not order again.
I ordered delivery - a bacon burger and I requested it well done. It was literally raw in the middle. I don't understand why people don't know how to cook a burger - it's the simplest thing in the world. Grossed out and NOT ordering from the Fountain again.
My wife and I both got sick within an hour of coming home after sharing a pizza and an antipasto. My wife, having eaten most of the antipasto was sick for 3 days. I vomited twice and felt marginally better after that. Called the bar the following day and said “not to complain but a heads up “. The bartender who answered the phone couldn’t have been ruder or more condescending. Friends have shared similar experiences. Still debating a call to the health department and a charm school suggestion for the bartender. Enjoy the pizza. Avoid anything not cooked.
Do NOT order the eggplant Parm. They drop prob 6 or 7 slices of heavily breaded pieces in a deep fryer and call it a meal. I returned it uneaten and the waitress did not offer to replace it or even ask me if I wanted anything else. Huge disappointment after coming here for years and years (albeit years and years ago). Maybe stick to the pizza next time? Or go to a REAL Italian restaurant. Even olive garden does a better Parm.
Hands down the worst pizza we've ever had. Cheese tasted like plastic, was burnt, and the crust soggy and greasy. The taste was excessively salted, and they forgot one of the two ingredients we paid for. Worse still, the paper liner was soaked and the grease wept into the cardboard beneath.
Quality has gone down the drain here. Our expensive pizza with artichoke hearts included the inedible part of the artichoke. The rest of the pizza was bland and chewy. Service was curt an unfriendly. The wings which used to be a primary draw were just acceptable and only included one drumstick. But we got to pay a premium price. Will never be back or reccomending this place unfortunately, used to be pretty good.
The new owners did a great job DESTROYING what the fountain used to be known for (great pizza and wings). The pizza is super below par, and my xtra crispy wings were soaked in sauce and soggy. If your coming here expecting the old awesome pizza and wings, you will be sadly disapointed. What an ego to take over the restaurant and change everything for the worse.
Ordered for pizza pick up...arrived on time...ordered no cheese, mushrooms, black olives, onions, and drizzle of olive oil. Got overcooked pizza with very very few of the add ons and they were very shriveled. No olive oil. Really stingy. Wont order there again
At 3:15 I placed an order for pick up at 5:30 online. My husband got there right at 5:30 and they couldn’t find the order. They told him it would be 20 minutes because they had to make our order. It was definitely more like 40 minutes. They didn’t even offer us our money back or a discount on our food since the order wasn’t ready, very disappointing and we won’t be returning
We ordered pizza on Friday night and it was really really not good. Not the worst I've ever had but not good. I had a meat lovers pizza and it honestly tasted like mediocre frozen pizza, with a really oddly textured sauce - kind of mealy. The sauce actually lifted entirely up off the crust with the toppings when cooled, which I've never seen a sauce do in my life. It was pasty. The crust had visible seasoning on it and yet was entirely flavorless, and was very pillowy yet extremely dry. Just a very odd and unpleasant experience. My only star is for the atmosphere in the place itself.
First time we ordered meatball subs & the bread was like mush under a bunch of sauce. Second time ordering last night, shrimp scampi had no flavor & pasta/shrimp were WAY over cooked. Burger was okay but not great. Not impressed & won’t order again.
Very rude and unprofessional and slow. They only cares about people who tips them better! #shameonyou
We were looking for a kid friendly Italian restaurant, and this was top on Google's list. This is definitely a bar lol, the food was cold, overpriced, and mediocre.
Got takeout. Roast beef sandwich was sad. 3-4 tasteless thick slices RB with nothing extra (my fault - I didn't order any extras). Hot meatball sub was mediocre. Meatballs were grainy and dry, sauce was okay, cheese was acceptable, bread was okay.
We usually love this place, but tonight was awful. We ordered delivery on Grubhub, and I got a beyond burger which said on the menu it would come with lettuce and tomato, and it came without either of those. I got a Mac salad on the side and nowhere on the menu did it say there was tuna in it, but I found chunks of tuna in my mac salad. I’ve never had a Mac salad with tuna in it. I don’t eat certain meats and it would have been nice to know there was tuna in the salad before ordering it - I would have gotten something else. My bf ordered the grilled chicken salad and ordered a portion of steak to go on top ($8 extra) and we didn’t receive that either. So on top of getting meat in what was thought to be a vegetarian dish, and then to not receive food we paid for was just disappointing.
