Opinions de Brooklyn Thai-ger Albee Square
I am a born and bred New Yorker, and Thai food is my favorite cuisine. I have lived in Fort Greene for three years now, and I can wholeheartedly say that MA is both my favorite Thai restaurant, and my favorite restaurant period. The quality of the food at MA is always top-notch. It comes out quickly, piping hot, and so wonderfully flavorful. Our favorite dishes are the See Ew (pictured), Pad Ka Phrao (pictured), Basil Fried Rice, Chive Pancakes, and Minced Chicken Basil. We’ve been slowly working our way through the entire menu, and everything is always amazing. So saucy and juicy and tender and spicy and flavorful! Plus, the portions are relatively big—I can only ever finish my plate if I’m feeling particularly famished. They also have a nice selection of beer/cocktails—and the Thai iced tea always hits the spot :) MA’s service is wonderful; we’ve come to know Em and Edwin, who primarily wait the tables, over the last several months, and they are delightful, super warm and friendly. The food always comes out quickly and our needs as diners are tended to perfectly. The atmosphere of MA is cozy and intimate, perfect for a date or a dinner with family or friends. There’s music playing, but it’s pretty quiet and makes for good conversation. It’s especially wonderful during warm months when the windows are open! We’ve eaten here more times than we can count—and all we can say is that it’s fantastic. Love you MA!!! ❤️
We sat outside and it was very pleasant. Our server Belle was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered the butterfly pea lemonade, the dumplings, and the shrimp clay pot. All the food was good. The drink was OK. We wished the noodles were more “slurpable” but the flavors were nice. Will come back to try more!
Food is great!! It's a small spot and they are new on the block. The servers were also very nice and gracious. Very minor issues and they were open to feedback with being new. We all liked our food at our table. For appetizers we had calamari, the wings and spring rolls. Entrees we had Thai-ger beef, green curry, pad Thai with shrimp and 2 other dishes that I can't remember the name of but I believe they were under the Saute section on the menu. Pictured is the Thai-ger beef.
I recently tried the Pad Thai and it was absolutely delicious!! The dish was a perfect combination of flavors, with tender noodles and juicy shrimp. It was a satisfying!
Zapp Chicken Wings: 7/10, too lemon flavored Pad Thai w/ Imitation Duck: 9/10 Cashew Nut Sauté w/ Tofu: 8/10
A delicious, affordable Thai spot. Cozy and welcoming, I enjoyed the more low-key environment. Server was attentive and friendly and the food was well-portioned.
So me and my sister in law found this hidden gem out of no where and this is our second time in a second day. The food is true authentic Thai food Must go I give 5 star
This place has very friendly staff and best Thai food (Pad see eew). Highly recommend !

Quaint little Thai place ! Perfect for a cozy dinner out ! Food is amazing !
Food here is soooo good but please fix the online order system, never know when my food is ready for pickup. Doesn’t stop me from ordering but it would be helpful :)
Amazing pad see you beef could even been my #1 in nyc. I’ve been dreaming about this since I last had it last month. Service was quick and fast.

Great neighborhood thai restaurant. The salmon was a bit expensive. Vree. Curry is $16. With pork it is an additional $3. When th salmon an additional $8. And it was a bit burnt to be honest. And the green curry was not green. It was white. The restaurant itself is very Brooklyn. It has cool antique elements to it. The waiter was handsome and attentive.
typical Thai food with some decent yet mediocre flavors and service was a little slow. I admit we are a big party of 7 but we came in early at 4:45pm for dinner and there's barely any customers. There's only 1 server (bless her heart, she's very nice and friendly) but apps came 1 by 1 very slowly and they were also out of curry puff (only had 1 order). Most of the apps were yummy, crispy spring rolls and I love their Zapp wings, crispy and very well seasoned and spicy on the outside (their homemade spicy flakes tasted like a snack chip flavor!). The curry puff has too much pastry and a little too soft/doughy for my liking and not a lot of fillings. The pad thai and pad see ew are just average in my opinion. I got the mild spiced kang dang curry and it was still spicy (I still like it) but a little too salty and watery (it looks more like a soup). My friends got the Thaiger beef and Duck Tamarind and I'd say they tasted a little more special/unique. The duck was juicy and flavorful!
Met a friend there for lunch. Very nice place. Clean good service. Had the lunch special. The food was good.
Came here on a quiet Sat afternoon. The K Mao was delicious and can adjust the spice level. The Thai roast chicken was too dry. Bone in chicken breast. Thank you.
The food was delicious only compliant would be the bring your own wine but there’s a liquor store super close by . Great location and great service bathroom door slides.

Nice pleace, great service and the price very fair. The food would be better, it was 8/10 thanks!
Really bummed about this, but rating here a 3.8. I was in the area and looking for Fulton Thai (apparently permanently closed), another Thai restaurant but this spot came up and decided to give it a try. It was conveniently located on Fulton as well. I ordered their Pineapple Fried Rice with added shrimp ($19), spring rolls ($10), zaap wings ($11). We drove by the spot first and at first glance, it was a beautiful setup and cozy. The atmosphere was warm despite the cold outside. I was really looking forward to the food. Oh and staff we so friendly. Made it home to open to a complete shock. The rice was mush. I mean overcooked mush with so much curry. After tasting it, it was like eating Indian food. The shrimp portions were good, pineapples, etc. But the rice was absolutely disappointing. The spring rolls were okay, a little on the soft and less crispy side. The wings were about my only favorite. Had a lemon pepper like dry seasoning to it. The rice on the other hand is unforgivable. If it's not good, don't serve it. I'm not sure what the issue was that night. But I'd expect well cooked rice in the least. Though this was a first bad experience, I would return and dine in next time to give it a second chance. The atmosphere and staff is appealing. Management, I'd review your menu items and make sure your chefs are delivering quality dishes every single time. Mushy rice is unacceptable.
Got takeout here and while the flavors are good, the portions were on the smaller side so was still hungry after ordering three dishes for two people. The Asian duck was great with a very crispy skin. There was bokchoy on the bottom of the duck but it seemed to be steamed and had no flavor. The pakeemao was ok. The basil stir fry had really great flavors but did not like the tofu which seemed to be over fried as it was dry and didn’t get any “meat” of the tofu.
This is a seemingly cute new spot. I tried the pad see ew, which is one of my favorite dishes, and my friend had the chicken main. Friend loved their dish but mine was just ok. I’ve had much better pad see ew at many other Thai restaurants. The service was lackluster - slow and forgetful and the space wasn’t packed.

I was in the neighborhood and my regular Thai place, I usually go to seem to have closed down. So I googled Thai food near me and this spot popped up. First impressions walking in, It was a quaint, cozy spot, and the vibe was off because we were not greeted right right away, which was weird, also the air conditioning seemed like it wasn’t working properly and it felt humid! With those two things top of mind I should’ve exited and went elsewhere, because after that, it seemed like we were semi paid attention to and/or ignored. I believe they handle alot of online and telephone orders and that takes away from their attention to customer service. When did order we had the Thai iced tea which had so much ice inside that I only was able to drink two sips and it was gone and the chicken wings were coated with so much of this cornmeal stuff and salt that they were almost an edible, same goes for my entrée. I had about three forkfuls of the pad Thai that because it was soooo sweet and I think I walked out of there with diabetes. What made this experience unpleasant as well is the waitstaff saw and commented that I did not eat my meal. I told them that it did not taste good and that was way too sweet, the waitress simply took my plate away and said I’m sorry it wasn’t to your liking. When she came back with a bill, the bill included the pad Thai that was barely eaten and the $17 price attached!! I have to say that my friend who I was with enjoyed his meal, he had flat noodles with beef and vegetables. Mine was just really bad along with the service, because of this I won’t be coming back.
Good pad Thai, but disappointing everything else. Gaiyang Somtum grilled marinated chicken, papaya salad and sticky rice delivery had cheap chewy dry food-service grade chicken, borderline inedible; no sweet chili sauce included, barebones salad with no bed of greens. The amount of tom kha soup for $9 was also pitiful.
