Always great food and service, we have been coming to see Sheena and her husband for the last 7 years, could not recommend more, especially if you love traditional Indian cuisine. ❤️❤️

Food is delicious and very filling but we were able to take extras home with us. Staff were beyond welcoming and friendly and gave recommendations on the menu and were genuinely enthusiastic about our thoughts on the food. Genuinely couldn't recommend enough was a lovely meal :)

Staff great and friendly! Greating customers at the door to be seated. Offer 2 person meal packages which examples can be changed to suit yourself, also hotness of dishes can be altered if you like a specific dish but would like it to be hotter than it is traditionally. Food was excellent everything hot and prepared freshly but not long of a wait. Would 100% recommend only €38 for two people including drinks and starters (€35 for the 2 person deal) and an extra beer.

Every single year my friends and I return to Portugal and look forward to eating at this place. The food is absolutely out of this world and at a great price too. We plan it all year! We also always have a great experience with the staff here who are friendly and fun.

It's the best for us . The owner is great, he's always so welcoming. The food is delightful. We always go for the tourist menu including a bottle of wine for two people is only 35 euros this includes poppadoms and dips .starters . Rice ,Naan .Two excellent main dishes . Wine or beers included

Family run restaurant, been using for years, food is so tasty, owners very friendly and the tourist set menu at £35 euro for 2 people including alcohol is a great deal. A must try if you like Indian cuisine.

We try always an indian restaurant on our holiday. This one is a really great hit. Very tasting food and good prices.

Super leckeres Essen, nette Bedienung und eine mega gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Für 30€ haben wir zwei Vorspeisen, zwei Gerichte mit Reis und Nan Brot sowie eine Flasche Hauswein bekommen. Der Besitzer war sehr bemüht die richtige Schärfe für uns zu treffen. Einziger kleiner Wehrmutstropfen ist das Ambiente, Plastikstühle draußen sind ok, zum fünften Stern reicht's für mich nicht ganz. Aber wer günstig und gut Indisch essen möchte ist hier richtig! Empfehlungen!

Nice clean restaurant with good indian food. The onion bajis were crisp and served with 2 sauces. The samosas were nicely filled and also hot and crisp. We enjoyed the butter chicken. We were there off season, so no atmosphere to talk about but the wait staff was very nice.

We had a take away at a very reasonable price. There were a range of starters which were all good and Karahi chicken and chicken madras.

I was only going to give The Balti (Albufeira) 2 stars, however my wife and daughter urged me to give 3. The owner (or host) wasn't welcoming, didn't seem to want us there even though we were their only customers on a Friday eve in a crowded beach town. He was least helpful with our order - didn't know much about the recipes or spices that differentuated the dishes, and had Zero recommendations. The food was mediocre, the onion pakora was more like a cutlet, Naan wasn't soft and tasted like a hard/dry chappati, and all the dishes were very greasy. The only highlights were the raita, chutneys and tandoori chicken (my wife and daughter ate). I am definitely not visiting again, advise you to avoid this restaurant and explore other Indian options nearby, especially the southern fare.

If you want authentic Indian food experience, please do NOT come here. The owner was quite arrogant, had a slogan of ‘it depends’ for every recommendation asked and sadly believes that he’s more foreign than Indian. We ordered naans that tasted like pita bread, keema naan that hardly had any meat in it, onion pakoras that were flat discs cut in half and two mutton dishes that gave us a bad stomach the next day. It was such a crime for the owner to have us carry our own water bottle too that offering us a glass to drink was an even bigger crime. I would highly recommend people to eat at South Indian kitchen (5 mins walk from here) not just for a true Indian food experience but also how to treat their customers in the true Indian hospitality.

Waren aufgrund der Bewertungen hier und sind enttäuscht. Das Hähnchenfleisch war zäh und trocken, die Sauce schmeckte nicht und der Reis war auch trocken/hart. Unser erstes und einziges Mal Indisch essen in Portugal. In Deutschland und Norwegen wo wir öfters indisch essen und womit ich vergleiche schmeckte es jedes Mal besser. Das Ambiente lies auch zu wünschen übrig. Wir saßen draußen und wenige Meter neben uns wusch die ansässige Autovermietung ihre Wägen. Personal war freundlich, mussten aber ein klein wenig lange auf die Rechnung warten.

Mein Chicken war überkocht, Korma gut, Reis sehr gut. Ich war als einziger Gast zu Mittag da. Die Kochkunst, die andere Rezensenten begeistert hat, wurde mir nicht zuteil. UPDATE 5 Tage später: Mein Gericht wurde offenbar einen oder mehrere Tage zuvor gekocht und war inzwischen verdorben. Am nächsten Tag bekam ich heftigen Durchfall, der Tage dauerte. In den 90er Jahren hatte ich in London schon mal verdorbenes Essen in einem indischen Restaurant gegessen, das ich zum Glück wenige Stunden später erbrochen habe. Ich werde in diesem Leben kein indisches Restaurant mehr betreten.

I visited this restaurant whilst on holiday and ordered a chicken passanda which is one of my favorite Indian dishes. When it arrived at the table, the sauce was bright GREEN in colour and when I tasted it, my "passanda" tasted of nothing but MINT. It literally tasted as if the chicken had been mixed with a jar of mint sauce and the flavour was so strong, I couldn't bring myself to eat it. I told the restaurant owner, who in fairness didn't charge me the for the passanda (albeit he charged me for the bland rice and thin, crispy and overcooked naan that they'd also served me). The owner insisted that he had served this dish for 20+ years at his restaurant, to customers from all over the world and no one had complained before but I have eaten plenty of passandas in many different restaurants and never have I been served such a disgusting, random concoction as this GREEN CHICKEN PASSANDA. 🤢

Wish I could give less than one star to food. I know butter chicken is sweet but not like a dessert service was slow. Never visiting again. If you know how Indian food tastes, you will never like it.
