Really nice and cozy place in the heart of Lanzo. Went there by chance and got surprised. Great variety of tasty meals. Tried the deer with a nice wine and it was awesome. Attention and services was at the top. Recommended

The owners were extremely welcoming; they even let me park my motorcycle in the shade in front of the restaurant. The service was impeccable (courtesy and prompt). The food was excellent (including the desserts), and the place was nice and clean, with fragrant bathrooms. They kindly gave me a local map with all the recommended routes and roads. The prices were reasonable. I highly recommend it.

Lovely authentic restaurant great calzone pizza with lots of taste

Siamo stati in questo ristorante previa prenotazione telefonica il giorno prima. Il locale é carino, pulito e ordinato. Stile anni 90. Il personale veramente molto cortese e attento. Il locale era pieno e i proprietari si sono fatti in 8 per servire tutti nei tempi piú celeri possibili. Servizio impeccabile e veramente veloce per la quantità di gente che c'era in sala. Cibo buono. Porzioni giuste. Abbiamo preso un antipasto, un primo, due secondi e contorno. Alla fine del pranzo io e il mio fidanzato stavamo scoppiando. Prezzo nella media. É un posto che consiglio.

La mia pausa pranzo alla trattoria dell'Aquila è andata davvero bene. Ottimo il cibo e il servizio, mentre il personale si è rivelato molto cordiale e simpatico. Ambiente nel complesso informale con un prezzo davvero super competitivo! Consigliato

Abbiamo apprezzato il tagliere di formaggi della zona ed in generale i piatti sono curati. Servizio amichevole. Il vino è solo al calice o bottiglia, non c'è vino sfuso della casa. Complessivamente ci siamo trovati bene.

In centro di lanzo intelvi, location caratteristica, personale gentile e servizio ottimo. Buona la pizza. Belli anche i piatti che vedevo servire. Ci tornerò per provate qualcosa di nuovo. Prezzi giusti

Ci siamo fermati casualmente andando al Balcone d’Italia… davvero consigliato. Piatti tipici, ben proposti e di ottima qualità. Consigliata la polenta uncia e il coniglio. Ho chiesto dei funghi e la signora che ci ha servito, pur non essendo nel menù, li ha proposti come contorno. Ottimo servizio. Bravi!

Pranzato oggi con menù del giorno e a la carte tutto buono servito con tanta gentilezza in un ambiente semplice ma pulitissimo. Ci torneremo!!

The food is medium to high quality. The tartare is a must-try, and the tagliatelle with mushrooms are top-notch. The atmosphere is restaurant-like, the service is excellent. The atmosphere is a bit claustrophobic and not rustic, but the food is truly top-notch. The only downside is that we would have expected a small liqueur on the house at the checkout. However, the place is still recommended.

A traditional trattoria inside, it shares a lovely, more modern terrace with the adjacent bar, where we had lunch. The menu offers a good selection, but without overdoing the variety to the detriment of the quality, which I must say was excellent in the dishes we ordered. The cured meats and cheeses, including the roast beef and the Lavagello, with side dishes, were truly delicious. The service was attentive and friendly, and the bill was average. It was a good lunch.

4 stars with room for improvement. A mountain location that inspires hearty dishes. The service is always attentive and attentive. The bill is fair. But let's move on to the important things. Or at least more important. It's all good! A place to return time and time again to sample different mountain flavors, which, however, vary with typical regional delicacies, such as plin, fried gnocco, and more. The pizza is also highly recommended. It's smaller than normal, but don't be fooled; it's very good and crispy. It's similar to pan pizza. The spaghetti from L'Aquila are spectacular, as are the plin with truffle and pizzoccheri; I won't mention the main courses because otherwise, my mouth will water again. In short, highly recommended.

Very nice cosy restaurant. Clearly visible that the restaurant has been operating for many years. The waiter seemed to be also the owner. Food was good and was served out quickly! Table service was something we had to wait for sometimes. We had an antipasti, salad, pizza and pasta and two desserts. All was good. Included is a picture of the dessert cooler. Would definitely recommend this restaurant for a safe choice :)

This restaurant is not far from the "Balcony of Italy" panoramic viewpoint. Located in the center of the village, with easy parking in the streets outside. The decor is minimal. The quality-price ratio isn't satisfactory. The portions are average, but the food is certainly not excellent. Also... a liter of house wine (not for the discerning palate, but more for those who've drunk hectoliters and hectoliters of marc) for €12 is simply legalized robbery. The polenta with venison at €16 is expensive (I've had it in other remote places in the Alps for a few euros less). Overall, it's expensive, and the prices don't justify either the location or the quality.

We called in advance to let the waiter know that we would be 15 minutes late. When we ordered the waiter was surprised that we ordered a starter and main course(?), which was the first red flag. We got all the food very quickly so it is likely that the food is prepared well in advance and just warmed up to order. The mixed cut of ham was nice but the salami was clearly off just by the smell alone. The gnocchi was covered in oil and closer to a mashed potato than a traditional gnocchi. The pizzoccheri was one homogeneous mass of cheese and potato. The pork smelled like it came straight out of a packet and the rabbit was not tender at all. The sauce was worse than what you can buy pre-made in the supermarket. I think the management honestly needs to reflect on the quality of their food and service. If you wouldn’t serve it to your family would you truly want to serve it to your guests?
