There were very few diners and the service was excellent. The food was high quality and the portions were quite generous and top-notch. The atmosphere was relaxed and very family-friendly, and the view of the riverbank is unbeatable. 100% recommended.
It's a good restaurant in Boca del Río. The food is delicious and cooked to perfection, but I feel the drinks are very expensive and don't make up for the small size. The waiters, in general, are good, but very serious; they need more attention and friendliness. There's free parking.
A must-visit in Veracruz!! I've been going to this restaurant for over 10 years and it never disappoints. I'm including a picture of my favorite dish so you can order it!!

A "very, very traditional, very Jarocho" place...accessible by land and river. Known for its excellent Jarocho cuisine. I've known it since 1976, when it was located on the "Island," but storms forced us to move to the mainland. This time we'll enjoy an excellent shrimp salad. The prices are reasonable.

Very good and traditionl restaurant
It's fine, apparently it's already a tradition, and visitors stop by to sample their dishes. I don't recommend the ceviche al peto at all, but the shrimp and octopus chilpaya are delicious. The view is worthy of admiration, and the atmosphere is peaceful. The service is a bit slow—not just in terms of serving the food, but if you ask for extras, they take a while to realize you want another drink and such.
I had a delicious Langosta a few years ago, and it's still delicious. The salsa is a work of art. The view of Boca del Rio is also amazing.
This has been one of those places that become a must everytime we are at Veracruz so, if you see this review give them a chance as you'll be not disappointed.
Amazing flavors, quick service!
The view from the restaurant is lovely; I sat in one of the corners and it was a wonderful experience. The service is courteous, though a bit slow; I had to get up to ask for a few things. The food tastes good, but I think it could be improved.

It's lovely to eat with a river view. Peaceful. The shrimp salad is delicious. We ordered a small sea bass and a tilapia, but they weren't very good. It was as if they'd been refrigerated for too long. The octopus with onions was just okay. But I've had better at other restaurants. Overall, it's alright, although for the price I'd choose another place because it's not exactly cheap. The service is good, attentive, and fast.
Don't waste your time or money. Expensive prices, hard frozen shrimp. If you want fresh seafood at a good price, this isn't your best option.
I'm very sorry to have to leave this review, as this used to be my favorite seafood restaurant in Boca del Río. For 20 years, every time I visited the port, I ate at this restaurant and the food was always delicious. I hadn't been there for four years, and this was my experience today, December 23, 2025, at 4 pm. The place was empty, and later I understood why. We ordered a shrimp cocktail, and the shrimp was tough; we had to send it back. We ordered a seafood torta, and if it had one shrimp, it was a lot. It was small, full of fishmeal instead of seafood, and the only shrimp it had was tough. The prices were expensive. The waiter was rude, grumpy, and answered reluctantly. We asked for the bill and left to find another restaurant. A few meters away is Plaza El Dorado; you're better off eating there at the fast-food place, and I assure you, you'll eat better and cheaper. It's a shame that a once excellent restaurant is living off past successes and charging futuristic prices. I give it no more than two years before it closes if they think they can treat their customers like this, serving terrible food at those prices. Good luck.
Bad service. The menu is expensive and the bathrooms weren't clean.
