Everything was fresh and yummy on a Monday afternoon. Meatloaf,chocolate strawberries, fried okra, stuffing.

They did a great job of feeding all 114 of us! Food was hot and fresh, the staff was very helpful and friendly. We were in and out in less than an hour. Thanks for taking great care of us!!!

I love this place. The people here are awesome. I looked at the bad reviews with photos of empty things... but if those people had 3 minutes of patience the managers are right on top of it refilled to perfection. The manager with the greyish hair is always checking the stations.( Heidi maybe)The server Jodi with the red and light hair is always so so sweet.

I had a great time. I went with my family. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The food was very good. And everything I had was fresh, nothing I ate was dried out, and very tasty.

Our server Sherie was very kind and attentive . She kept my drink refilled and checked on us often and it was busy as it was lunch rush. The food was hot and fresh and they were keeping everything filled up as it ran low or out. Bathroom was cleaner than I’ve seen it in a long while but still could use some fixing and updating. It was cooler in there than it has been in a while. Overall a great experience.

Very nice, the restaurant has been remodeled since the last time we were there. It is a very pleasant atmosphere even though there are tables all around you you don't really realize that you're eating dinner with a bunch of people you've never met before.

Today when we went some of the plates thatmy son and i grabbed were dirty and there were two other people who got dirty plates as well right after we did. When serving the tamales they are cold. Everything else is great.

We came for dinner and everything was good, especially the fried shrimp, pulled pork, and bbq baked beans. Our waitress, Zaida, was super friendly and helpful and made our dinner even more enjoyable!!!

This place is great, after the lock down, they put up more safety measures and made the buffet more sanitary. I like my steaks rare and they'll cook them up exactly how you want them. A little pricey but for the amount of options you get, including the steaks, it's definitely worth the price. Great place for the family also!

It's not too bad. I really liked the steak! Kinda pricey for dinner, with soda drink $20, but you won't leave hungry. I been to a lot of other Golden corals, this one is kinda outdated. Will definitely stop by again.

I gave five because for a buffet it is great. I mean you can't expect things to taste like momma cooked them, it would be too expensive to make. I go for senior pricing which costs me like 12 or 13 bucks. Now that is a steal. I usually get meatloaf make fajitas the taco bar, salad bar and desert bar. Wait staff is always excellent. Please tip those people they work hard, they have a lot of tables and most do there best.

The food for Golden corral is always exactly the same. It’s very consistent and you get what you expect from Golden corral. I went there this time because I didn’t have anywhere to go for Thanksgiving dinner, so I went here. They had a good selection of Thanksgiving dinner items to choose from.

Food was fresh, restaurant was very busy, and the service was good.

Haven't eaten here in several years, but it was always your typical GC, I felt. Never anything bad to speak of.

Had a delicious lunch while passing through Amarillo.

Fried Chicken was cooked to perfection. The zucchini, squash, corn, & green beans just needed a little salt and pepper. Jalapeños were hot and I like spicy. Our waitress did not check on us, but I did ask her for a refill for our drinks when she was walking by us. The chocolate cupcake with cream cheese frosting was definitely old, stale, and crumbly, but you can't beat the price for all the food and for my family of 5.

I know I'm in the minority but I like this place. If I don't like something I don't get it again. If I love something I get it every time. I love their senior prices. I finally got a take-home box the last time I went there and ended up with two steaks and some collard greens for about $7. You can't beat that. I'll be back.

This has turned into one of my go-to to places when I'm looking for an inexpensive meal. The reason it's inexpensive is because of my senior status. I can go for breakfast and get all you can eat bacon and eggs that they keep on the line until noon. They have omelets and stuff before that but I don't need anything fancy. It costs me under $9 for the meal. It's about the same price if I go between 2 and 4 p.m. for the senior lunch. You know how you go to a buffet and you feel like you have to eat a lot to justify the price if it's in the $12 to $15 range? Well when a meal costs me under $9 I don't have that feeling so I'm perfectly happy to get a couple of their little bowls of soup, a plate of food, and a dessert if I have room. If I'm there after 4 p.m. when they start serving the steaks then sometimes I will get a small steak to finish off my meal and I have to say their steaks are excellent. I always ask for a small piece, red in the middle. I hit less gristle in my steak here then I do at the popular Roadhouse style steak houses in town. Of course there are items I end up not caring for so I just don't get those again. Another thing I like is I can load up on vegetables so my plate of food usually includes a lot of spinach, turnip greens, brussel sprouts, cabbage, carrots, Etc. I can't think of any other restaurant in town where I can get such a variety of vegetables in one plate. I've had their pot roast with vegetables and it is excellent but I'm not crazy about their chicken. I've been there a couple times when they had prime rib available and it was darn good also although probably not as good as what I had at Big Texan and Texas Roadhouse, not to mention Embers. But I end up paying close to $20 for my meal when I eat at those places. Golden Corral is close to me and reasonably priced so I will keep going back.

Nothing really stands out about this one. Food isn't bland and the staff was attentive. I couldn't find any medium in my medium rare steak so it was pretty tough to get through. Hence the 2 stars.

Why do they always have someone who doesn't speak English cooking the steaks. Learn three words, rare, medium a well done. Over cooked fried chicken that nobody would eat because it was too dry. At least the salad bar was well stocked.

Just the normal American food style buffet. Food is ok, service is ok, price for that food and service is about twice what one would expect. The selection is average and heavy on the carbs. The steak is not awful if one can make it to the grill at the right time for the right doneness. Some of the desserts have a really bad chemical/processed taste. If looking for multiple options on the plate all at once, not a bad place.

Food was great very tasteful and hot buffet well will maintain the restroom was clean and odor free. The server was a bit slow. Didn't seem that all into greeting customers and slow on the refills. Beside this very (small) infraction everything else was what I expected. I most definitely will return someday and hopefully I could giving this location the 5stars it deserves upon my next visit. But for now 3stars ain't all bad but small improvements could be better.

Hi. We went to the coral later this morning. I hadn't been there for a while. I don't know what happened to the place. The food was good BUT many of the items were cold. I looked to see if there was a line manager in sight so I could ask about the cold food but never did spot one. The food was tasty but I thought they had to maintain a certain temperature. Disappointed

The food was very cafeteria like in taste and appearance. The air conditioning also was having some sort of issue, so it was hot throughout the meal.

Food was meh.. Definitely not worth the money charged. None of the signs that identified what the food was were correct. They need a new AC system. Yes it was a very hot day, however any place that has a buffet system needs to have a much more robust system to pull the humidity out of the air and be able to keep the dining area cool. But it was in the 80's inside when we were there and the humidity was around 60%. Very unpleasant.

Overall I gave it a two star only because the service was great ( Megan ) the staff was as friendly as could be. The food however was awful! Meatloaf burnt, fried chicken way over cooked and dry. Mashed potatoes were way beyond lumpy, more like Chunky! The gravy tasted burnt. The taco meat looked like it had been there since lunch and I went around 5pm. I love Golden Corrals. I have been to them all over the country. This one never again!! And to think I paid California prices in Texas ( over 20$ ) for one person y'all should be ashamed of yourselves! I've been here a few times before and had no problems and enjoyed the food. 07/22/2022 I discovered this bug in my salad. The other food was good, but I wasn't hungry after this. In addition, at least one stall in the women's bathroom had urine and water mixed on the floor.

Can’t recommend. I should have left when I noticed the AC was out , but I thought the dining room might be cooler. The drinks were placed before the ice In the line, so you get to splash your drink onto your hands when you add ice to it. They didn’t seat us and just said “there are tables over there”, but there wasn’t a table for our family, so we had to split up and sit at different smaller tables. The food was pretty rough…The worst I’ve had at a restaurant in years. The salad lettuce was full of water. The bathrooms looked like a crime scene. I think I’ve learned my lesson and will not try a Golden Corral again.

Customer service can be approved. No hospitality what’s so ever. Most of the employees and the manager tonight all had attitudes which was so distasteful. You all applied for a job, do it. no one forced you all to work here and do your job including the manager tonight.Whole team needs work. The cleanliness was a major issue many of the plates and utensils were dirty, which immediately raised concerns about sanitation. when brought to the employees attention, nothing was done about it. Additionally, the experience felt uncomfortable because the manager repeatedly stared at us in a way that felt like she was watching us for suspicious behavior. Instead of feeling welcomed as paying customers, we felt judged and uneasy throughout our visit.

The food was good but it was so hot in there! The women’s bathroom had no soap which tells me the workers also can’t wash their hands properly. A lot of food items were out but other foods were good. I have to say something is wrong with their steak. For the past month every time I’ve got the steak it smells spoiled with an off taste and dog smell. Hopefully it doesn’t end up making anyone sick!

I am a senior disabled vet and my server said if I need anything just ask. She never came by to check on me. My plates piled up, no catsup in either of the two bottles on my table. Steak sauce bottle was caked in sauce at the lid. It cost over $18 for a senior supper with drink. I was livid . The steaks were good. Serving size was about 4 oz. When it came time for dessert, there were NO dessert plates, no salad plates. I had to go all the way to main line to get a plate. There were no plates at the west side closest to seating area. If you value your money, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME COMING HERE.

The restaurant has upgraded its decor and looks amazing. The salad bar Island offers an array of fruits and salad makings, and the dessert bar of course is amazing. the issue I have is that it seems to be common practice to serve the night before leftovers on lunch buffet. The last 3 times I have eaten there at lunch, not only was the food not very good but this time I and my eating partner are now suffering with stomach issues. very disappointing that mgmt would skimp to make bonuses and give customers a less than awesome experience. Shame Shame. upside the staff members are attentive, friendly and eager to serve, always upbeat and smiling. The restrooms have been disgusting on every visit. I cannot believe how uncouth people can be when using public facilities. I can ONLY fault the staff on not maintaining it vigilantly the rest of the fault lies DIRECTLY on the bad manners of customers. UPDATE. My dining partner was in the hospital next day with food poisoning.

They didnt have no plates ready when we tried getting food! Plates were not clean and had old food on them! Forks were not washed and had old food on them aswell! I get that and I understand that but when you have to go you have to go it was 9:05pm restaurant just closed there is still 2 more customers in the restaurant seriously she couldn't wait until I finished my bowel movement ! ! ! ? ? ? Employees now a days the place that works and there dying to close kick the customers out and go home. If you say you close at 9pm then you have to give your customers a reasonable amount of time to finish there meal and use the facilities if they need them. On a side note there was a homeless person eating and the Employees treated him well he walked slow and I'm sure had money from asking through out the day. No issue there kuddos to the Employees. But I think it's disrespectful to ask a customer to basically hurry up while using the restroom because the restroom has to be cleaned when the restroom looked extremely neglected.

The air conditioning wasn't working and they should let people know that before paying. It was very warm where we first went in, got a drink and paid, but it was all glass windows and sunny so we thought that was why. After we paid and walked past, we noticed a fan on the floor that was pointed towards the cashier, so we still thought the heat was from the sun through the glass. We set our drinks on a table, went and got food and realized it was getting warmer and warmer. No AC. We were already there with food so we stayed, but if we had known when we came in the door, we would've left. The food itself was just okay. There are usually at least a few options for a gluten free diet, but the only chicken that wasn't breaded was very underdone dark meat only. I ended up only having barbecued chicken thigh that I pulled the skin off of and mashed potatoes. The green beans would've been gf, but they were disgusting. I did have some salad but was concerned about the temperature of the egg and cottage cheese with it being so warm in the room. My non gf husband was able to eat several things, but it really wasn't very good. It was definitely a waste of money. The waitress was attentive and did come to refill drinks and take away plates. She was the only good thing about the place. We were traveling and next time we are in town, we will Not go there again.

My experience at this restaurant was fine until I went to the restroom after my meal. I walked into the bathroom to see the most disgusting bathroom I have ever seen in my life. The stalls were dirtier than a portable toilet at a rock concert in August. The trash was level with the toilet seat. 4-6-2025, was there today. Over the last 4 years, the food has changed dramatically in flavor and curb appeal, in short, it sucks! Spent $40.02 for 2 seniors, which was supposed to be cheaper, and I didn't eat even a $1's worth, but, they got their money!!! I WILL NOT return! My wife WILL NOT return. It's become too expensive to eat there anymore, the food is no good and Golden Corral doesn't care about seniors!!

Our waitress was wonderful and kind and very attentive. Now the food was horrible except for the junk food. For instance the meatloaf was very disgusting it tasted like bologna. Very nasty. If you want great meat loaf go to Black Bear dinner or cracker barrel.

It's crazy that everytime we try to go around 7 or 8 they are ALWAYS closed and it isnt supposed to close until 9. I work late so its hard to be there before hand. I would think if they want the business maybe they should stay open like it says online.

We absolutely love this place and it saddens our family that it has come to this. No one in a restaurant should have to worry about tripping over a dog.

Yesterday we went in to have lunch The employee I do believe that her name is Jessica have the worst attitude I've ever seen Then when we get to the food it was the most disgusting thing we ever tried to eat there was not one single thing that was good Absolutely terrible will not go back

There was barely any variation of food the service was fine and the atmosphere was honestly eh I went to the bathroom and they were shaming a mom who goes here all the time and complaining how she doesn't tip and how "messy" her kids are which btw kids are messy it happens no need to shame someone

the server named Michael was rude as hell to me and my family we asked a simple question and he answered in a very disrespectful way. This is unacceptable my family comes here often to eat and never had this experience before I feel he was very much trying to discriminate against us because we are African-American.

This place is nasty. My whole family got sick after going to this exact place a week ago. We went here because we're traveling, we're tired, and we needed fast and easy access for food. My husband wants fresh greens so we decided to go there. We already paid so we didn't have much choice. My kids were hungry so there. When we got our plates, they're wet and still dirty. I dont think they even sanitized it. My husband made a comment, "We were all gonna get sick". And three days later, he was rushed to the ER because of non stop vomitting, while my 3 and 7 years old were doing the same thing. The bext day it was my turn, i was throwing up bile because my tummy wont acce any food. This place should go down. I love golden corral but after this experience, I don't think I'd ever eat there again.

Take your money somewhere else 🤢🤮🤮 Not only is the food disgusting The employees and the Manager Daniel They do not care about the customers They throw slop in a bucket and then want you to pay $20 to eat it An Uber deliveries don't do it Apparently Miss Jessica up there has an attitude problem whenever you go to pick up for a customer and then they want to rate you bad 😂 I would rate this place a zero if I could I think the health department needs to go in they have roaches and mice everywhere

The place is clean and does look comfortable but they open at 8am, I went in at 8:05 and everything was cold. Only thing I had that wasn't cold was hash browns and they were barely Luke warm. Pretty sure it was either left overs from yesterday or they cooked hours ago and didn't keep it heated.

Update 10.20.2025 Omg ! Do not go here if u dont speak Spanish!!! We always come here. It's always been say There's a few that don't speak English usually. But that has changed Everyone I talked to today except for our waitress.Didn't speak a lick of english didn'tEveryone I talked to today except for our waitress. Didn't speak a lick of English didn't even try. Food was horrible, and it's always really good. It was burnt. Some things were just brought out. And they were cold. It seemed like they were out of a lot of things. The biscuits didn't get yeast, put in them, so they were like little bricks. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE ⚠️ ⚠️ AND THERE'S NO WAY ON THIS PLANET THAT A MANAGER THAT ONLY SPEAKS SPANISH SHOULD BE A MANAGER IN AMERICA....PERIOD ELSA NEEDS TO STUDY UP ON HER ENGLISH OR LEAVE .... THIS IS NOT OK Love this place mostly bc i KNOW where the beef comes from. They cut it right on the property..... so good Southern cooked meal fish and all the stuff . They have wings now too

Me and wife went today for lunch. Hadn't been in several years. Food was bland, low quality, and cold. With very limited selection, out of most items. Dinning area was dirty, mostly empty tables with plates sky high on them. The men bathroom nasty dirty and disgusting. The health dept needs to be called immediately, they would be shut down!!

8/5/25 @ 7pm... Wanted to come have dinner but the parking lot is FULL of signs saying BIG trucks will be towed. So we called to ask- no answer. Waited a few minutes, called back- no answer. Waited a few more minutes, tried again... busy signal. Waited a few more minutes, tried again... still... a busy signal. So we just left. Y'all lost money & robbed a server of a tip... good going!!

The service of customer service is trash our waiter was more worried about filling up the napkins than our drinks and when she did come by she had a attitude from hell..she didt have a name tag. She stood there looking at me like she wanted to say something.we had been 15 mins without no drinks in our cups.so yes it was upseting to have to wait on drinks cuz she was more worried about doing side jobs that are done at night or slow peaks.. Never came by to ask us again to fill our drinks.. so she got no tip w me. The food was all dried and empty.. it's gone down alot ..it's a shame.I did speak to a manager about her attitude.thanks cowboy in ur attention on this matter..too bad Mr.Garica does not runn the place any more. Goes to show u the passion many people don't have . I will not be back there anymore.
