Opinions de Toscana Italian Steakhouse Amarillo
Very good service, good food and the speakeasy was fun. Great vibe there. Okay, here we go... Parking wasn't great, but doable. Pumpkin ravioli was good, but the brown butter sauce was the star. It brought the ravioli alive. My wife had the filet, very tender and cooked just right, the peppercorn sauce ok. You just need to have more of it. I've been on a meatball search for years, so I had to try theirs tonight. Well I guess my search for a great meatball continues. In my opinion they were just ok. Cooked in the oven is everyone's first mistake, the sweetness of the sauce would make my momma slap you. Overall, we will be back and try some more dishes in the near future. Hint, u can get small bites in the speakeasy too. P.S. in the photos attached follow the bullets, you will find good drinks and a great place to relax.
Amazing service-immaculate vibes- Compliments to the Chef!! We were given Polenta with Bacon Jam while we waited for our main dishes- OMG amazing! I wish we lived in town but we will for sure be back. This place is a MUST for many reasons. Thank you again to our Hostess, Waitress, Bartender, and the Chef!
We had the absolute pleasure of being served by Tamara at the Tuscano Italian Steakhouse inside the Barfield Boutique Hotel in Amarillo—and WOW! She was truly exceptional. From the moment we sat down, Tamara was kind, warm, and incredibly attentive. She recommended the fried green tomatoes, wedge salad, and short ribs for dinner, and every single bite was absolutely incredible. Her knowledge of the menu and thoughtful suggestions made the experience unforgettable. We loved it so much, we came back for brunch the next morning and had the French Dip sandwich with a caramel latte—perfection. Tamara made both visits feel extra special. She’s a true professional with a heart for hospitality. Give that woman a raise—she’s a gem!
Our drinks, appetizers and my short rib were absolutely amazing! So much flavor! Let me tell you.. I will be back for those potatoes as well. I am beyond picky with food in general but especially with crab cakes.. this one was to die for and I will be back for sure! Already looking forward to my next experience!
The food and service are excellent. We had a Christmas gathering with friends on a Friday evening. I ordered Skillet al Formaggio for an appetizer and the ribeye and baked potato for the main course. It was one of the best steaks I have had in Amarillo. I would recommend the Chocolate Chip Cannoli it was excellent. The price is a little high but the food and drinks are delicious.

I was not dressed up I was wearing a long sleeve old hoodie and some jeans and a pair of tennis shoes. It's a boutique hotel with the restaurant at the bottom floor and I just absolutely loved it! Traveling overseas a lot of brought it back a lot of memories of the many boutique hotels I've been to around the world. My waitress was so nice and helpful. She was a very tall brunette. If you can, ask for her. My apologies I don't remember her name 😬 thanks for the great ambiance and the awesome food! I will be back next time I'm in town. They are Texas size portions so just beware!
Don't believe the bad reviews! Outstanding meal and service. Atmosphere was very fine diningish. The drinks, salads and entrees were delicious, and are up there with the best restaurants we have eaten in....34 countries and counting! These are non traditional Italian dishes.... Extremely well presented! Visit and enjoy!
I’m a frequent patron at Toscana but I really want to shout out one of the bartenders - Valerie (I THINK that’s right and if it isn’t I’ll amend) WAS A GEM! I was taking engagement photos at PRC and she made incredible cocktails for some of the shots and was just overall so sweet and incredible! I can’t say enough good things about Toscana, it’s a go-to date night spot and where I take all of my out of town visitors. Wish I could give 10 stars to Toscana, the Barfield and Valerie!
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the Thanksgiving buffet. If you prefer to avoid the hustle and bustle of shopping, cooking, and cleaning up from a home-cooked Thanksgiving meal, the Toscana Italian Steakhouse Thanksgiving buffet is an excellent choice. There were plenty of traditional options, all prepared with chef-quality execution, and the service was outstanding.
Came for a birthday dinner and enjoyed it so much! Our server, Luis, was kind, attentive, and very helpful. The environment was exactly what we were hoping it would be: upscale yet cozy, intimate yet lively. The food was also impeccable!

We love the Thanksgiving buffet here. They have turkey/dressing, ham, prime rib and all the sides. For dessert, the bourbon pecan pie is to die for. Since the restaurant is inside the Barfield Hotel, it's open pretty much every day, including holidays. We had a lovely dinner there Christmas night. The regular breakfast, lunch and dinner menus were available that day. We both had a ribeye steak, horseradish mashed potatoes, Brussels and cheesecake for dessert. Lewis was our server and he did an excellent job. The holiday decor was beautiful. The Toscano Steakhouse is one of the best dining experiences in Amarillo. Don't miss out.
I sat at the bard, had a glass of wine, and an appetizer for dinner. So not much to rate other than they had some decent wine bottles, somewhat of a limited selection of glasses of wine, but good choices. I wasn't hungry enough to order an entree, but they looked delicious. I ordered a melted cheese/sausage appetiser that tasted very good.

The plate was delish, only one thing I would've liked to see more of a garnish. For 60$$ yeah. It's not a big set back because it was delicious. And the wine was good!! Had the pasta n lobster.

We had dinner Friday night at 8:30. We were sitting and no one come around for about ten mins. The hostess finally come over brought Us water and ask if we wanted an appetizer. We ordered an appetizer. Than a waitress come over and said okay we have put your appetizer order, than we ask for a bottle of wind since it was our anniversary. She brought it. Someone else brought the appetizers out. We were done, and the hostess walked by again and asked if she could remove the menus, and we said well we haven’t ordered yet. We had changed our mind and having an entree because we waited a while. The waitress came back and we ordered two salads , my husband ordered a Cesar salad with an add on of salmon. His salad came out real fast and my watermelon salad took a while. He said this didn’t have any salmon on it, about 5 minutes later a full salmon dinner came out. We said that’s not what I ordered and they took it back. The waitress brought the piece of salmon back out and said she Was sorry for the mix up. She didn’t charge us for the salmon dinner, but she was terrible and we had an awful anniversary dinner. The food was very good. But we will never return.
Unfortunately had some issues: - I was provided with breakfast menu for brunch service - Tried to order Tuscan Kale salad and was told it was not available - Ordered Burrata salad, which was described on the menu as vine ripped tomatoes, baby greens, torn crostini, fresh basil, burrata but I received the attached 😅 Asked the server if I received the correct order and was told that and I did. Salad tastes good but added steak tips weren't that great. - It took almost an hour between when I arrived and when I received my food. Which I thought was too long (issues with menu and missing items didnt help) The place was busy but wouldn't say it was full, perhaps 3~4 table per server. More like it is not very well organized.

We had breakfast here. It was convenient as my coworker was staying in the hotel. I have had dinner here several times and it was always great and I always had a good experience, until now. There were about 4 other tables. It took the server about 10 minutes to greet us. She came to the table, a little annoyed. She brought our drinks back. Then came back to get our order. My coworker is from the Philippines, so nost things on the menu was unknown to him. He ordered the omelet. She proceeded to be very snappy and rude because he did not tell her what he wanted in it or what type of toast he wanted. I had to step in and explain to him. Then she brought the food and never returned until she dropped the bill. He did tip her well even through her service was awful. Just really left a bad taste in my mouth. I hate to think that he went back to The Philippines thinking this is the way Americans are. The food was good though. I would love to have had hot coffee though.

I recently dined at Toscana Italian Steakhouse and had mixed feelings about the experience. The food itself was quite good – well-prepared and flavorful – but definitely felt overpriced for what was served. The atmosphere was decent, though nothing particularly memorable or standout. What really brought the experience down, however, was the service. It was noticeably lacking, with long wait times and inattentive staff. For the price point, I expected a more polished and attentive dining experience. Overall, it's a decent spot if you're focused on the food, but I’m not in a rush to return.
We went for our wedding anniversary. First, don’t order the Brussels Caesar salad it was dry. If you do, order extra dressing; it tasted more like mayonnaise, and there were no capers or anchovies. The Toscana salad and meatballs were really good. I ordered the steak frites, but it was completely cold, so they brought me a new one. Our romantic dinner turned into me just watching my husband eat... and when the second steak finally arrived guess what? It was cold again!
There was a big hype about this place, so we went to check it out. It was a HUGE disappointment! The steak was ordered medium rare, and the gorgonzola black pepper was a bit overwhelming. I should have done without. The steak itself was ok at best, but full of fat, so a big portion was wasted. At $72 for a ribeye, I was expecting soo much more and left completely disenchanted. There is no way I would go back. We should have gone to the Big Texan. At least there we know what we're going to get. The wait staff was friendly. The smoked pecan old Fashioned was good, but not great. We should have just gone to Public House. Moral of the story is that if you want good drinks, go downstairs to the speakeasy. If you want a great steak Public House, Saltgrass would be a better choice.

I experienced the worst service EVER!! I had my valentines reservation booked a week and a half in advance at 8pm. The first red flag was the hostess stand accused me of making it for 8am by mistake until they finally let us tell them our phone number the reservation was under. Sat down got drinks & appetizer came out about 20 minutes later ordered our main course meal when app came in. 20 minutes later our waitress came back and asked what we want to order for our main course… we already ordered it lol. Waitress completely dodge our table for another 40 minutes without checking up on us. By 10:20pm she came over and informed us our food got brought to the wrong table. Nothing got taken care of on our bill and we still had to pay when we didn’t even receive our food. Have called five times since trying to get ahold of a manager, has been impossible to get ahold of one. Never returning.
We reserved a table for myself and two of my family members on a Tuesday night 12/16/2025. We were excited about trying the restaurant because our favorite Amarillo chef was now working here. We never even got a chance to try the food. We were led to a table and sat down and never saw a single waiter. Not because the restaurant was busy, we just didn't see waiters anywhere. After nearly 30 mins passed and we hadn't even gotten water, we decided to leave and went across the street to Crush Wine bar and got waters and a bottle of wine within two minutes of sitting down. I would have loved to try Toscana, but they have customer service worse than a McDonald's. Never returning.
