I've had omelets from here twice this week. They were great both times. I had a bacon, egg, cheese, grilled onions and grilled mushrooms omelet. I also had a cheesesteak omelet. They did forget my side of sausage gravy one time. Other than that It was good.

Food was great but they could tell u that they charge for to go containers for leftovers and when u order something for ur husband. That was crazy. And the service was great too

We absolutely love this place!! Especially on Tuesdays!! The girls there are so awesome and watching and listening to their banter takes you back to good ole days when people were courteous and inviting like your family. And don't get me started on the food!! It's amazing. The cook knows what she is doing watching her is like magic. We love it and stop there everytime we are in Amarillo. Our visits are mainly for depressing doctor visits but the Waffle House makes them a lot more endurable. Thank you Tuesday ladies!!!!

If you love Waffle House, this one is just like that - but this small town lends it's own special flare. Wait staff was wonderful and food was exactly what we were craving! Hash brown bowls all the way around done up just the way we ordered! How they get such consistency with such chaos around them is incredible! Just like every other W.H., don't go if you're a neat freak. I think slightly disheveled is part of the charm.

Absolutely amazing staff. That franchise location was ran like a well-oiled machine those women did an amazing job. They got the food out quickly the food was amazing. Just the way I remember it and the young lady. Who was our waitress you could tell she was having a rough day but she did not let that get her down and she treated each and every customer that came to the door like they were family. She greeted everyone and every table that she had she was friendly and kind.

As always the service was outstanding. The atmosphere was quaint . But on this particular day the food was not as good as normal. My sausage tasted old although I didn't complain if was not Able to eat it. Later in the day both my friend myself got sick and we're sick through the night. Now this was in isolated experience and only at this one location. I've never had a bad experience prior to this.

I went late at night with only a few staff members working they still provided me great service and my food was incredible especially the waffles of course when I come back to Amarillo I will be stopping here again

Waffle House never disappoints! Wanted a quick but tasty meal that would hit the spot. It of course did but EG our waitress was just a breath of fresh air, attentive and worked our area with a great attitude and ease for not just us but all tables. Left her $20 bucks on a $30 bill. Ms. Asia is easily one of the hardest workers I’ve ever seen in any WaffleHouse!! We stopped in here for a quick breakfast before moving on with our road trip and I feel the experience couldn't have been better. We were greeted immediately and given our choice of seating. All of the staff were in good spirits and the atmosphere here was very nice. We ordered pretty much right away and our food was out very promptly. Our server was very attentive and for the amount of food you get the price wasn't bad. I would definitely eat here again.

The Waffle House at this location was very good. My wife and I had a great experience. The food was delicious, the waitress was excellent, the environment was clean and neat and inviting. Being a wheelchair Patron, I found it easy to maneuver the area of the restaurant that I was seated in. Parking was comfortable and convenient for me, and I had no real issue entering or exiting the location. I would highly recommend this location as a place to stop by and have a great meal morning noon and night 🙏🏽 ♿️

My daughter and I went for breakfast this am while waiting for my mother to get out of surgery. The staff was awesome as always. But one of the ladies up there took care of our ticket for us. I'm not sure why she decided to do that but it's acts of kindness like that one that helps restore faith in humanity. Thank you for your generosity, great staff,great food. Truly a blessing

Stopped at this Waffle House in Amarillo Texas. While waffle houses are somewhat “cookie cutter” in design and menu, they vary only by their staff and cooks. This is a great one. Wonderful staff. Angie (our waitress) took great care of us. Happy, helpful and easy to talk to. Such a nice person. The food was served fast, hot and cooked to perfection. As always. Too much food and we left very full. You can count on Waffle House for a fast stop breakfast or lunch 24 hours a day.

It might be horrible nutritionally speaking, but the eggs are *real*, the bacon is crispy, the ham is flavorful, and the waffles? I haven't had any anywhere else that are as consistent in flavor, fluffiness, or taste. You cant beat the hashbrowns either! The staff are always welcoming, and sometimes even entertaining! I can't make Waffle House a regular habit, but I like it for the occasional treat.

Pretty good place. I haven't eaten at a Waffle House in years, but I think it's safe to assume that the food at any Waffle House is gonna be greasy as hell and the opposite of healthy. That said, the food was alright aside from the cheese eggs, which tasted fake honestly. Service was great, staff was very welcoming and for the most part attentive. Looks very clean, and didn't see any bugs at all. I don't know if they allow smoking inside or not, but nobody smoked while I was in there. They have the usual jukebox but I didn't look at it, so not sure what kind of music selection there was. Convenient location, right next to La Quinta if you're tired from traveling and just want a quick meal.

The Hash browns were cooked to perfection, the waffle was amazing!! The biscuit & Gravy was the Best that I have had in such a long time!!!! I was floored by how good everything was!!!! It was very difficult for me to stop eating!! It was so very hard!!!!! And I knew that if I didn't I would be in so much in trouble!!!!! LOL

Aileen was a great waitress and Tammy the Tornado held down the grill for the entire place almost single-handedly. The staff all seemed to know each other well and have a good time and a good rapport with each other, which made for an enjoyable experience. I had standard diner breakfast fare: eggs, toast, and hash browns. Every element was made fresh and cooked perfectly (go Tammy the Tornado!), the coffee was standard, but good - expected it to be sub par but it was a solid cup that did the trick just fine. Waffle House is a chain (and a budget-oriented chain, at that) so expectations should be low, but I'm happy to say that even with few expectations I had a good meal and enjoyed the time. Well done, Amarillo team!

This is just about the complete opposite of the city from my home but my wife and I always come here. The ladies that work here are amazing. Service is always great. They crack jokes and it’s a truly relaxed atmosphere.

Not much to say about a waffle House. They're pretty much all the same. I will say that the girl who served us was very very nice and accommodating. My friend wanted a special combination and she checked with the cook and she said she would make it for him. I just had a hot chocolate because I had already eaten and it was your typical made from a powder drink.

This waffle house is staffed with the nicest and hard working midnight crew. This is our second time in here and the staff was wonderful both times. The first time they were so busy and only had 3 people working and they killed it. Yes it took a bit to get our food but the waitress communicated with us the whole time so I was not upset about it. I could see how busy they were. I would have given this place 5 stars but the bathroom smelled like sewage really bad. That is literally my only complaint. The food and coffee were delicious. We will continue to dine at this one from now on!

Today someone apparently didn't do their job and the displeasure was aired in front of us. The service was still good and we were treated in a friendly manner but perhaps grievances should not be aired in front of guests. Final note, I still enjoyed my meal and time I just felt the conversation was not up to typical Waffle House standards.

When our order arrived they left the onions and cheese off of my hash browns and my husband did not get his biscuits and gravy. Standard Waffle House food. Cheap and filling. However, bring your own glass if you want a clean one without getting attitude from the waitress. As my family and I were finishing up dinner I happened to look at my son's water cup. It was dirty. I then looked at my own and noticed it was also gross looking. I casually let the waitress know as we went to pay the check and she said, "Well, good thing you didn't pay for that." I then told her I wasnt concerned about the price of water, just letting her know the glasses could be washed better. She ignored me, told me my total, and handed me back my quarter in change. I told her thank you and she replied with one of those customer service voiced "Have a great day." Rude and tacky. But, thankfully, I won't be seeing her or that Waffle House ever again.

I just want to say that I do love waffle house, but this one was not ok .. I usually go to the one on western and I will continue to do so. We only went to Coulter because western was so full. The tables were dirty and staff wasn't very friendly. The worst part about it was the cook didn't change his gloves the whole time. Even worst the cook was touching raw meat and then plating.

The server Jewel was sweet at first and cooked our food well but we came for biscuits and gravy and had to wait for the gravy to be cooked. While the water was taking forever to boil the other employee was chopping away the ice from something by the grill so loud I couldn't even talk to my boyfriend. When I asked about the gravy they were both rude about it. It took an hour to get the biscuits and gravy we ordered. I was a server for 25 years and always leave atleast a 5 dollar tip. A little more training for these two on protocol.

Stopped in late at night after a long day of travelling....around 9:30. 4 of us in the group. Walked in, took a seat. Staff saw us. Waited a few minutes and manager walked over to take our drinks. Not friendly, not even a hello. Took one drink order and fixed it, then walked off saying someone would be with us in minute. We had to get menus off another table. Waited a few more minutes and manager walked back to take the rest of our drink orders and food order. Still not friendly. Brought food and nobody checked back on us or anything. Service was awful. Food was good.

If you like cold breakfast food then this is the place. 2 of us got our meal first but I only got half of mine then the 3rd person got there plate with the other half of my meal after sitting by the grill with the cook telling her 3 times order up. I guess since we weren't a regular we didn't deserve the respect of a good waitress and hot food like her other customers got

They were understaffed when I went to eat breakfast there with my wife last Friday. This led to them forgetting and not cooking or serving an ordered side item, but the server made it right. The real problem is the fact that I was double charged. The POS card reader was very slow and seemingly having issues. I was charged once for the meal and a second time for the meal with my $5 tip added. It doesn't matter to me if the problem was the electronics. It matters that my pocket book took an extra hit, and they could update or fix their junk.

One of the worst experiences I've ever witnessed at any Waffel House location. The waitress was sleeping at one of the tables. All the table were dirty, there was a homeless man sitting at a table. We decided to move tables because my girlfriend was cold, we moved to the other side where the homeless man was sitting then the waitress tells the man "you need to move to the other side because you have an odor and are bothering the customers." He said "what?" She said "you have an awful body odor and are bothering paying customers." He was no bother to us at all. He moved, and when the waitress came and cleaned the new table, she gave a look of disgust towards the man, and seemed as though she was seeking our approval for her actions. We decided to leave and not eat at Waffle House due to this. Keep in mind we drove 2 hours just for Waffle House.

If it is past 12 a.m. and there are only two people working, do not stop. The food and the side of attitude you are going to get is not worth the price or the energy to stop. Our food came out cold, the grits were clumpy and disgusting, and we watched so much food get thrown away while waiting for our food. My family loves stopping at Waffle House for late night breakfast, and this is the worst one we have EVER stopped at.

This was the nastiest, dirtiest, neglected restaurant I have ever stepped inside. I don't know how they haven't been shut down by the health department. Stopped to eat breakfast on our drive from Las Vegas to see my parents in Arkansas, but it was so disgustingly dirty that I couldn't even eat my food. The server was nice and efficient, but that doesn't come close to making up for the filthiness of the establishment.

Cook was not hygienic. We had to ask for him to put on gloves and get new plates after we saw him scratching himself. He did, but the waitress and he seemed to have really enjoyed our concern. We won't ever stop at this Waffle House again and warn anyone against eating here.

3/2024 I ate at this place last week. Some lady named Michelle or Rachelle was beyond rude and disrespectful behind the counter. In one meal, I witnessed her correcting an employee in front of customers, pick up a fork she drop and placed on front of a customer and cursing in front of patrons about her personal life. Food was good because she did not touch it.

My husband and I were visiting Amarillo recently, with the hope of moving here. While we love Amarillo, we were unimpressed with the conditions and slow service at the Coulter Street south location. Our server Kendall, was charged with doing everything while 3 others stood around. He did the best he could, while Nancy, (the manager?) was loudly berating the employees in front of the customers and making derogatory statements to them. One older couple came in and waited 10 minutes with no attention, so they left. Another couple came in and Nancy waited on them personally so it appeared that she knew them. We waited 10 minutes for a table to be cleaned off and another 15 minutes to be served. All the tables needed attention. Sadly, we will not recommend this location to anyone.

This was by far the worst experience we've ever had at this waffle house. Our eggs came out hashbrowns came out 10 to 15 before our waffles. I told the smart ass waiter about it and he said they were hot when he pit them on the table. Well I like to eat my meal all at once not a side dish or two them the main item on my order. We won't be back ever.

Went in here tonight .walked in and the music was so loud I couldn’t hear my husband on the phone then the waitress were singing and dancing and yelling at each other the order cause of the music and one comes over and turns it up even more and no it was not packed there was only 3 tables I will not go back here again rude waitresses 🗣️

So many flies I felt like I was eating outside. Food was so cold. Server ignored us.

Me and my wife was in the waffle house on western at 5 am to get some coffee and most likely to get something to eat. My wife went to the restroom and the lady named Becky i believe is the cook .told the waiter that we was dope hades. The waiter was upset that she said it. He replied we were drinking coffee. Becky said we was on drugs over and over. I told him that it's not right to say things like that about you customers. Becky just kept saying it. I'm not mad with him but I WILL NEVER FORGET HER NAME AND I WILL NEVER BE A CUSTOMERS OF THE WAFFLE HOUSE AGAIN. BECAUSE OF BECKY. I HOPE THAT BECKY WILL SEE THIS POST AND BE DONE THE SAME WAY THAT SHE TREATS PEOPLE THE COMES TO THE WAFFLE HOUSE IN AMARILLO TEXAS. THANK YOU FOR READING THIS. I don't normally leave a negative review but really want to share our experience from 3pm, January 2nd, 2026 at the Coulter location. Traveling back from Colorado, our high schooler was craving WH as one does when roadtripping. We had 5 people in the group and split into two tables near each other in the otherwise empty restaurant. Blonde, camo wearing waitress didnt know we were together. Annoyed to be waiting on my dark skinned latino wife, her spanish speaking mother, and my 8yr old, threw the flatwear on the table. Asking for spoons for coffee/creamer, waitress throws them into the coffee creating a splash onto the table startling my MIL who made a noise. Waitress looks at her and says "What?" and leaves. between fielding many personal cell phone calls she takes and brings each tables order. Forgets my MIL only request, a waffle. In fairness, both tables had to beg for a coffee refill but when I instructed her to refill my wife's first at the other table, things noticeably smoothed out. Maybe just a bad server, maybe a some bigotry, maybe both. Either way, Waffle House, I think that's gonna do it for us. I don't expect a lot from you, Waffle House, but I shouldn't have to apologize to my wife because of you... PS: Ive seen cleaner Waffle Houses.

Come here often with my son, we love to have breakfast for dinner every now and then. I usually don’t complain or leave a bad review unless it’s really bad. Every time we have came it’s been hit and miss with service etc. the waitress we had today was very rude and hateful. We had just been given our order and not even 5 minutes into eating gave us our ticket. She was clearing tables or putting away dishes or something and was slamming things around. Totally unacceptable. The cook served us our meal and he was very nice! Won’t be back that’s for sure! I leave tips even when we get bad service but today I did not! Rediculous! I work in the food service industry and work with the public everyday and even if I have a bad day I still put a smile on my face and treat each customer with the utmost respect! This would not be acceptable where I work and I’ve never encountered such a rude and disrespectful waitress ever! If you don’t like your job move on and find something else if you’re so miserable! I come in with my special needs son and he deserved to be treated with respect and dignity! She treated him as if he wasn’t even there or didn’t at least acknowledge him etc what a horrible disposition this lady has!! Horrible service also she was playing very loud music and I’ve never been to a Waffle House that did this. Horrible attitude!!!
