Came down here to visit in-laws for the weekend and needed something for lunch. We normally pick up McDonald's or Raising Cane's for the kids and something different for us, but this time we decided to just stop at one place for everyone since it would be easier and faster. We hadn't eaten at Ono Hawaiian since we lived in Sunnyvale four years ago and found this location while yelping for nearby Hawaiian food. Having loved Ono back when we lived in NorCal we decided to stop by this location and give it a try, especially since it was only 10 minutes away from our destination. The restaurant is located in a newish and modern looking plaza, close to Disneyland and route 22. The outside looks nice and clean and has some seating, while the inside is just as clean and chic. It wasn't that busy when I went in and it only took a few minutes for me to order. Waiting on your food will take a while depending on what or how much you order as well as how busy they are. There are 2 young guys manning the registers and orders, while a third is doing the cooking. Even though they seemed to be quite short staffed with only the 3 of them, they did great handling the constant stream of traffic going in and out. The food is just as great as we remember it and packed neatly with utensils and napkins in the bag. They don't skimp on the sauce here. They ask you what you would like and they give you how many you ask for. The young guy calling out the order numbers was also manning the registers while still having time to be friendly and polite.

So good, even the mac salad is so tasty I went back after eating my combo to get a side of 4 scoops of it. Shrimp/BBQ chicken combo was plenty for a big appetite. Make sure you try their katsu and hot sauce with the shrimp. Be cautious to put your sauce lids on tight, maybe I’m just accident prone but it spilled all over in my bag and napkins - but that’s really my fault. BBQ chicken is thigh meat over a bed of steamed broccoli and cabbage which is a plus. Fresh and hot, service from the front end staff stellar and friendly, really great despite the big crowds and groups there

First time trying Ono BBQ.. Have had some great Hawaiian and this is right up there. Got 3 plates. Spicy chicken and 2 teriyaki chicken. Both came with 2 scoops of delicious white rice. 1 scoop of outstanding macaroni salad. Some veggies under the chicken (cabbage and broccoli). The spicy chicken came with onions and had a great full mouth heat and flavor. The teriyaki was nicely seasoned and complemented nicely with the homemade sauce. The total with 1 drink was around $42. Overall this was a delicious and filling meal a stones throw from Disneyland.

One of the best meals around Disney and the Convention Center! They offer a robust menu of Hawaiian food and drinks. The serving sizes are extremely generous and the quality of the food was very savory compared to park food. If you can fit it into your schedule give it a try!

Pretty straightforward. I like that I can replace rice w all Mac cuz I'm a Mac salad gal. Fire chicken is very good and can't go wrong w their katsu. I wish they had more greener veggies, it seemed like it's mostly cabbage Customer service is good, everyone is friendly

I’m not a Hawaiian food fan but everyone wanted to go. I was pleasantly impressed. Excellent flavors, ample amount, varied choices, happy service. Prices were fair for the quality and amount. I’ll be back. We’ll be back.

We tried as many of the entrées as we could, and there was nothing that wasn’t great. Portions were generous. Employees were friendly and prepared things quickly. If they ever put one of these near where we live, it will be a place we visit on a regular basis.

for the price and atmosphere you cant go wrong. I love the island fire chicken & BBQ beef combo aloha plate with small drink. competitively price with Panda Express and in some cases better as they kinda have more meaty servings

Kalua Pig lunch plates were decent -- only complaint was their failure to remove the larger chunks of fat from the pork. Cashier helped us save a few bucks on extra Mac Salad by allowing substitutions for other sides.

The #42 teriyaki chicken and beef was spot on, tasty, big portions, and priced just right. No complaints about the food at all. But man… the AC was set to “Arctic Survival Mode.” 🥶 It was almost 9 PM, my two-year-old was shivering, and I had to throw on my hoodie just to finish the meal before we froze solid. We basically inhaled our food and bolted! Great food, fair prices — just beware of the indoor tundra after dark. ❄️

It took like half an hour for some Spam musubi. And chicken Terriyaki and crab rangoon. They packed us to go when I ordered it for there. They were pretty busy so I can understand. Pretty good food overall

Ordered through Uber. Chicken was good. Beef was so-so. But the amount of cabbage! Don't need to add that much to make it look like a lot of food. I know times are tough and understandably we have to cut down on portions but don't need to fake it. Photo was after eating a little bit of beef and a bite of chicken.

Food was decent and portions were generous, but the flavors felt a bit average and nothing really stood out. Service was fine, just not very warm or attentive. The place was clean and casual, good for a quick meal. Overall, it was okay, but I expected a little more for the price.

I would give 0 stars if I could. I ordered food from here at 10/31/23 around 8pm and I picked it up and went on with my night. Eating it at the dinner table, I noticed my 2 year old not wanting to eat his veggies. Being the parent that I am, I went to eat it. Before eating the broccoli, I decided to just give it a look as it looked pretty old. Upon my observation, I discovered a maggot in the broccoli. So I decided to call the restaurant and let them know of what I discovered. I asked the young lady who answered the phone for a manager. She began by asking why I needed a manager and I explained my situation. She replied by stating “how do you know it was a maggot”? It was pretty plain and clear that it was a maggot on the broccoli. She then stated that there was no manager on site and to come by tomorrow to speak to management. I said ok, and I asked if I could get her name just so I could have a reference to who I spoke to the night before when I was able to speak to a manager the next day. She stated she “wasn’t allowed to give her name”. So I said okay, and I asked for the manager’s name so I can speak to them the following day. She proceeded to hang up the phone. Such rude and unprofessional service.

first time coming to this location, the food was amazing. Second time not so much. The chicken tasted very fishy and also the macaroni. I couldn't eat it. Had to discard. They cross contaminated both of these with fish they fried that day, very disappointing
