Fantastic burgers and fries. More on the gourmet side with unique combinations and toppings. We ordered the Truffled Beet Salad (amazing). Also got the Sunny Side burger with the sunny Side up egg (delicious) and the loaded short rib fries with truffle cheddar sauce. Highly recommend anything on the menu.

This is our first visit here and we will definitely come back. I had the Manly Burger and Manly Fries!! WOW so much flavor in the burger and the fries are addicting! For Desert we shared the salted caramel ice cream sandwich, again amazing flavor!! We talked with Kevin who is the manager and he was such a cool guy! Great vibe and great food. So if you are in Anaheim and looking for a great Burger stop in and say hi to Kevin and enjoy one of their many many many burgers!!!

I had been wanting to try Umami Burger for years and finally made the trek to the Anaheim Packing house district and gave it a shot. As has been mentioned by many reviews, service is amateurish at best and inattentive at worst. However the food is the star, cheesy potato tots are highly recommended. The togarashi fries are excellent if you like spicy fries. The dipping sauces are a nice variety of different flavors for your fries. The burgers are not typical Americana and are very tasty! The place would have gotten five stars had service been on par with the high prices but unfortunately they need to improve the guest experience. I will be back but it's more of an occasional indulgence than a regular spot in my book.

It’s decent burgers and fries. Very helpful, friendly wait staff! Parking can be challenging if you don’t valet and are competing with Packing District patrons for spaces, so show up earlier! Four stars for fried pickles alone, I love to see them and eat them wherever I find ‘em.

We tried this place for the first time and we enjoyed it . The menu is not huge but there is more than enough choices for everyone to find something to eat. What we all felt was the other menu items not the hamburgers were the stars of the meal. The hamburger was good but I can find better at the habit burger chain at less cost. The staff was excellent and friendly very helpful. They have a late night happy hour with great deals so definitely try that.

I tried four of the sliders. I wasn't wowed by the flavors but they are good burgers. I was most dissappointed in the truffle burger. It was plain with just sauce and pattie and I had to spice it up with additional garlic sauce. Hatch was a mild flavor. Chicken burger was a bit dry. The manly burger was my fav. Great beer cheese. Their bacon is also really great and the ketchup was AWESOME. My top flavor sensation from this visit was definitely the ketchup.

Service was very slow, I only saw two girls working the front, there was no Host, The Bar had no bartender, I waited to be greeted about 5 min and then waited again to be seated about 15 more minutes. Food took about 20min to come out. Our server was trying her best with the amount of tables she had. The food was great but maybe they shouldn't offer dine in, until they're fully staffed. Not fair for the staff or the customers 😕

Cut 2 ‘da Chase

Was extremely impressed with menu, mouth was drooling looking at the options. Let's start by saying the burgers were WAY smaller than we expected. I know typically when you get a better quality burger that the size shrinks and I was willing to accept that. There was just no wow factor in these burgers for $28 and I do not mind spending money on food. My burger was well done and no good piece of meat should ever be well done. The thing is they never asked how I would like my burger cooked and it just lapsed my mind to say "medium please." Star of the show was the loaded truffle fries which was VERY GOOD! Dipping sauces were fine. Not sure if I would go back but it wasn't a terrible experience.

The truffle fries are really great! The salad was good the chicken was rough and over cooked. The Truffle Burger was good I had to ask for lettuce and tomato it's pretty plain normally... I wish I hadn't ordered the Truffle Burger because with the Truffle fries it's way too much truffle LOL I ordered a margarita and it wasn't good at all... tasted like watery cheap tequila with almost no Margarita flavor I'm not sure how that is even possible lol

For me, it is Umami Burger that set the bar. Years ago, I remember eating at one of the other locations in Southern California, and the experience just blew me away. I have since frequented Umami ever since, and each time I'm in California, I try to stop in for their delicious burgers and drinks. I find the history of the chain fascinating and I've even tried to replicate the burgers at home to no avail. I I have tried all of the burgers on the menu and I do not have a favorite as they are all so good. I can't recommend them enough and can't wait to get back. _____________ This is an update to my previous review and a reduction to 1 star after returning 2 years later... Umami set the bar very high many years ago. The first time I had the truffle burger, it was the most satisfying burger experience for me ever. I soon seeked out other burgers whilst using Umami as the standard. Nobody could come close. I don't live in California and Covid has kept me away from my travels until recently. Now that my company has approved travel once again, I was in Anaheim for a trade show. My first desire was to head to Umami with some colleagues and customers. Some of which were from out of the country and looking forward to trying Umami due to my hype machine being in overdrive. We visited the Anaheim location and were greeted by a young lady who looked frazzled. The place was nearly empty so when she said she didn't have a table for us, I was surprised. She said there were only two of them working and we'd be happy to take your number when a table opens up in about 20 minutes. We were fine with that. We went next door and had a beer and waited, with my phone on the table, face up, anticipating the call. Thirty minutes went by and we returned to Umami. The girl said that she tried to call twice and I never picked up. I checked my phone and no calls came through. Not only that, all in my group were eagerly awaiting a call to come through. She said, I'm sorry, but had to give the table away. I asked what number she used and she repeated it. I showed her my phone (no connection issues) and she said. I can't seat you. I tried to call. I told her to call my number again to see what was up and she refused. The began to get a bit nasty and I said, okay, show me the call history. She said she couldn't do that. It was our assessment that she flat out lied about calling. She never called due to the fact that she was overworked and probably forgot. She could have just said that in the first place, but instead, she continued the lie through a brief argument. I'm not sure I will go back. We all left hangry and fed up. This was not what I remembered Umami to be. I'm heartbroken and upset. It was good while it lasted I guess.
