Se come bárbaro y se ve la calidad de los ingredientes. El Bao de hongos a caballo es tan rico que no se por donde empezar. El Dumpling de cerdo y langostinos de entrada también un lujo. Altamente recomendable. Voy a volver. Además, muy buen ambiente.

¡Muy lindo lugar para tener una cita!💐💗 La comida es muy rica, pedimos los baos de pollo crispy con salsita dulce, muy muy rico😊, y buena cantidad (además viene con papitas). Dos detalles muy destacables: 1) Mantienen un ambiente tranquilo, música agradable y en volumen bajito, se puede conversar en la intimidad; 2) Ofrecen mocktails (tragos sin alcohol) con sabores re novedosos, nos gustaron mucho🍹. Volveremos!

Fuimos a cenar con mi marido, muy buena la atención, nos ayudaron para elegir la comida. Pedimos unas gyoshas de langostino cerdo muy ricas, la salsita qué traían muy sabrosa. Luego un bao de roast beef, que estaba bien pero no me mató. Me hubiese gustado que tenga algo mas que solo carne. Y el curry quue estaba muy rico! Para beber la limonada de frutos rojos, riquísima! Recomiendo el lugar seguro!

I want to share a really positive experience I had lunching at Koko Bao Bar in Palermo, it turned out to be the perfect first meal in Buenos Aires. From the moment I walked in, the staff made a difference. Camila and Valentin were outstanding. I mentioned I needed something gluten-free, and they guided me through the menu patiently, making sure I had good options and could actually enjoy a relaxed, delicious lunch rather than struggle. They were attentive, friendly, and genuinely caring, it felt less like “just service” and more like being looked after properly. The place itself is stylish, modern and comfortable without being over-the-top. Koko Bao Bar specialises in Asian-fusion fare — baos (steamed Taiwanese buns), dumplings, summer and winter rolls, and creative side dishes.  The menu is varied but curated, which made the gluten-free conversation simpler. The food was clearly well thought out and well executed. What stood out for me: The service by Camila & Valentin: they asked good questions about my dietary need, offered alternatives, and checked back to ensure everything was okay. The food: fresh, vibrant, with flavour. Even though I was on the lookout for safe choices, I left feeling I had a proper “meal experience”. The ambience: a relaxed spot in Palermo where you can enjoy a quality meal and feel comfortable. Since this was my first lunch in Buenos Aires, I’m especially glad to have found a place where I felt welcomed and well taken-care-of from the start. I’m already planning to return in the next few days. If you’re in Palermo and looking for something a bit different, especially if you have dietary restrictions like gluten-free — I’d highly recommend Koko Bao Bar. And if you happen to be served by Camila or Valentin, tell them thanks for me. 5/5 stars from me

I have been in Koko in 2023 and in 2025. The menu has changed but it is still as good as I remember. The food is really good. Well balanced and has a great flavor. If you are really hungry I recommend to try the bao, dumplings and the rolls. Everything is delicious.

We had the chicken and beef bao, both were tasty yet I preferred the chicken. They came with some awesome crispy potatoes. Traditional dumplings were nice too. Recommend the place, they have indoor and outdoor dining with friendly staff!

Very tasty baos in a nice neighborhood of the city. The filling of the bao was delicious, and the potatoes with alioli were very nice as well. Their kombucha and lemonade didn't disappoint either.

Really good bao buns would go again if I could! Freindly staff, would try and reserve a table if you go fri/sat evening. We got the beef bao, Taiwán bao, summer roll and langostines dumplings. Personally the dumplings and beef bao were the best! Enjoy

I was lucky to find this place by casualty :) The staff is very friendly and helped me to charge my phone lending me a cable. The Wi-Fi works great, the place has a nice decoration and the music is really good. I was very happy with my choice of food - Bao Clasico - and a refreshing limonade in a very hot day in Buenos Aires. Very happy and I would recommend to my friends.

Located in the Palermo Hollywood neighborhood. The food is amazing!!! We had 2 types of dumplings, both vegan, one with pumpkin and the other with mushrooms and tofu. We also had BAO sandwiches with fried tofu , kimchi and sweet chili sauce, pork and beef... Everything was delicious! We finished with coconut flan with praline and whipped cream and a vegan chocolate mouse. We ordered a bottle of rose wine, water and 2"Rio" drinks (no alcohol). We doubled our order for dumplings and the Rio drink - 4 in total each.Total for 4 with tip U$S 68

Koko Bao Bar es una excelente opción si eres amante de los Baos o si quieres llevar a alguien a probar uno por primera vez. Probamos el Bao de pollo y el Bao de cerdo y ambos estaban divinos, todos los baos vienen acompañados de unas porción de papas rotas con una salsa que estaba también muy rica. El cokctail Samurai estaba divino, muchas notas aromáticas y si te gusta el gin y la combinación con vermouth, es una excelente opción ya que es un cocktail no muy dulce, el cocktail Pitaya por su parte, un poco más dulce pero también muy rico. Recomendado y sin duda, volvería.

Siempre me he acercado sábados al mediodía, realmente no falla. El lugar está bien ambientado, buen aire acondicionado, siempre limpio. Solo mejoraría el ingreso al baño, es bastante extraño y no sabes dónde te estas metiendo. La comida la verdad es muy rica, las papas que acompañan los baos son excepcionales, tienen una crocancia difícil de conseguir en la mayoría de los lugares. Las bebidas sin alcohol son deliciosas también, hay opciones re interesantes.

Visited a couple times during our stay in Buenos Aires. Standout items were the baos (fittingly, since it’s in the name) and the dumplings. We also tried the tonkatsu pork plate (well-cooked but under-seasoned) and a chicken and rice plate (good but not great). Everything we had was reasonably priced with good portions for the money. Decor is playful and fun, which makes this a nice spot for a cozy evening out.

Rico pero te deja con gusto a poco, esperaba mas. Promedio sale 16-20k una porción que trae solo 1 Bao con unas papitas y pedimos dos variedades y ambos muy poco generosos en cantidad, si al menos justificara el precio con buena cantidad de pollo, verduras, etc se paga con gusto pero no resalto en nada, simplemente cumplió, no volvería creo.

Stopped by for lunch on my recent visit. Beautiful decor. The Korean chicken bao was overly flavoured for my taste, very salty and saucy, the beef dumplings were good. The Rio drink was great :)

I went to Koko with a friend for dinner. We were really excited to try it and that there were vegan options. We were disappointed by the taste of the dishes - they were ok but not very flavorful. However, the potatoes served with our bao were delicious - some of the best potatoes I’ve had in Buenos Aires. I also ordered a Negroni and although it was good and I enjoyed it, it did have an interesting taste to it.

Fuimos hoy y la verdad que me decepcióno, antes había ido y tenía muchas opciones y todo era rico ahora la comida no tiene sabor y solo hay dumplis y baos nada más, aparte cuando pagas te incluyen la propina ahí mismo de 7mil Fue todo lo que pedimos y aprox 80k gastamos

Attracted by the elegant outdoor sitting we gave a try. Regrettably, it’s just a sloppy gastronomy for elevated prices. Sizes are small and quality of handling food is borderline wrong. Since the croqueta sauce tasted like it was left in the sun for the last 10 hours, we’ve returned it and also 2 of the other 3 plates back to the kitchen. There are many very good alternatives on the same block.
