Cute little spot in a cute little town right on the main road. Had to park on the main street. During a busy time parking may be difficult. They have an outdoor covered patio that is pet friendly. Garlic fries were really good sandwiches are big. 2 sandwiches w/fries & drinks, $40 - not cheap for lunch.

We were heading to Monterey and had to make a bathroom stop, we also needed to have a lunch break and Aromas was recommended at the store we stopped at. After going into the bathroom and seeing the cleanliness I knew the food would be good. We all ordered some lunch and we were not disappointed, fish tacos and burgers were amazing. Will highly recommend this place

Great breakfast place in the area! The chilaquiles wasn't too spicy, and it went well with the avacado. I usually don't finish full plates and end up having to get a to-go box, but it was so good I ended up finishing the whole thing. Everyone at our table of 9 wiped their plate clean! PSA: The orange juice is served with ice, so if that's not your thing then specify without.

If you're looking for a good small town vibe, out of the way, hole in the wall, diamond in the rough, this is one. It's a great little place. With plant of seating for the location. They offer a good variety of food and drinks. At a fair price. I had the Margarita Pizza(tomato and basil). I enjoyed it. A lot. Very tasty and HOT. Temp wise. I like my food hot. Service is good. Friendly. Makes you want to come back. I recommend this place. After work or a weekend roadtrip.

Great food, low price, friendly and has very good outdoor seating. Has a bar and private room for small parties, as well as parking in back. I've even tied my horse out front. Just casual enough to feel comfortable in whatever you're wearing, but you'll probably see someone you know!

This cute place has great bar fare. Good beers on tap, and some wine (didn't check...). The menu has the usual apps, chicken tenders, nachos, etc, but they were really great. The chicken tenders did not come with fries, but was a perfectly big delicious pile of crispy chicken. So nice, and perfectly fried. We had a lovely nacho platter and the crab cakes were nice. If your willing to pull off the ol' highway, this is a great place to have lunch, dinner, haven't had breakfast, so??, But everything else is good, so breaky probably is too. They're open till 9, and prices are reasonable. Will return.

The Aromas Grill has been a favorite place for myself and my family for many years. The recent change in ownership brought an expanded menu that made an already great place even better!! My wife and I went there for breakfast and had an amazing meal. Very short wait time -- more people need to know about the breakfast that is offered. For lunch and dinner, their New England Style Clam Chowder is the best clam chowder in the Monterey Bay area. A party of eight of our friends dined at the Aromas Grill before a concert at the Aromas International Grange Hall and all were pleased with the quality of their meals, the attentive wait staff, the portion size and the value.

Shout out to server ALIZE L!!! Had the best service last night! As soon as we walked in the door she came over to greet us. I said we would like to sit outside and she immediately seated us along with menus. Took our drink order came back quickly with the beverages and took our food order. Let her know that my husband and I are sharing the meal. When our food was delivered the burger was cut in half on a separate plate along with the side of fries split. Totally did not expect that!! Usually would expect a extra plate. (By the way we don't share just because we are cheap but because it is a ginormous amount of food) Alize was the best server we have had yet! So impressed by her dedication and work ethic!! Alize you are awesome!!!

Food is great service is friendly and fast. A little pricey but it's the only restaurant in town and it's worth it. I ordered the tri tip sandwich and the nachos both were very tasty.

This was our 4th visit to Aromas Grill and definitely and absolutely will not be our last! Portions are great, prices even better, food will not disappoint ..Appetizers flavorful, steaks cooked to perfection...and their own chevala mix is EXCELLENT! We love it there..Staff is personable. Just a great experience everytime.

The food was really good for a very fair price. I would highly recommend going here, for breakfast or dinner (I haven't tried the lunch yet, so I can't say anything about that, I assume it's good too) you won't be disappointed.

The food was outstanding! The burgers were slightly pricey, however, they are huge. The bathrooms are clean enough. The only negative is that there is no complimentary free wifi.

Love having this place so close to home. I love that they are pet friendly and I can bring my pup and sit outside, and they always have a bowl for water for her. Food is great! We mostly do take out, but I think dining is is even better.

My sister-law, her granddaughter and I had lunch here. The hamburger was so big my sister-in-law and shared one. We were completely satisfied with our shared lunch. My grand neice who is has to eat gluten-free was able to gave a selection from the menu. She was very pleased with the food as well. The service was very friendly and no one rushed us so we could enjoy the time together.

Tiny town & this is the only restaurant- but it was soooo good! Our party ordered the crispy chicken sandwich, a BLT, a grilled cheese sandwich (w/avacado, tomato, cheddar & swiss) & fries. To be fair, i know the owners, but the staff didn't know that. Our server was warm, friendly and helpful with the menu. I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich w/ fries. It was damn good! Very tasty.. well done. I also managed to sample the grilled cheese. WOW! Thanks Janet and Freddy.. we'll be back.

Stumbled across this small town on our drive from Monterey back to the east bay, and it was amazing! Small town feel, friendly staff, VERY CLEAN, and most importantly the food was AMAZING!!! The country fried steak and the country potatoes were delicious, my husband had the basic eggs bacon and toast he loved it as much as I loved my meal.

I ordered their Classic Cheeseburger and it was perfectly cooked! They asked me how I wanted it cooked, and I said "pink" which could mean medium or medium-rare depending on the restaurant. However, my burger came to me pink and juicy! It's a little place but the put out really good food.

This restaurant is an oasis in Aromas during this time Covid. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner until 8p. The menu has a nice selection of dishes to choose from, and I had the deep fried snapper tacos.The plate was nicely presented and the portions were generous. Dining is outside at this time following current health department guidelines. The wait staff if attentive. The restaurant has a full bar to provide beverages. My husband and I enjoy eating here.

Delicious food and drinks along with friendly hometown service! What more can you ask for? Beer battered Artichoke hearts were a great appetizer. Wife said this was the first time one she ever liked sweet potato fries that she stole fr my plate.

Aromas burger is one of the best burgers I've had in the Monterey County area (maybe San Benito?) Anyhow.. its a 20 25 minute drive from Salinas, salad was super fresh, clam chowder is delightful, not to thick, perfect blend of clams and potatoes. Don't forget to try the sweet potato fries!

This hole in the wall features custom soroundings a pleasant out door space and quality American style dining. Great for family meals 1st dates and small meetings. I recommend this as a go to if you are in the area and want a bite.

I've been meaning to try this place for over a year, but never made it until tonight. Great food, great atmosphere, and low prices for what you are getting. We've paid far more at the steak houses in Salinas for food that was no where near as good. My wife had the New York, and I had the Chicken Alfredo.

It was fantastic! There's so many things on the menu in the all sounded so good. The food was delicious the service was fantastic and I will definitely be a repeat customer since I now live in Aromas! I'm sure I will enjoy taking many of my friends and family to this place.

I came in with my brother who recommended the place, my husband and our two young children. The seating was nice, you can sit outside or in but in the Aromas weather I don't know who would choose indoors when the outdoors are so nice this time of year. Needless to say we sat outside. They had a covered patio with plenty of seating and table not cramped together. The parking was ok, a little tight behind the restaurant but street parking is also available. The waitress was nice, perky and prompt. Our food came out hot and delicious. We ordered deep fried artichoke hearts for the table, the portion was huge. I had the skirt steak, my food was cooked to my desired temperature and I was surprised by that since cooking a steak seems to be hard to many places nowadays, but not Aromas Grill, they got it spot on. My 2 year old got fries and taquitos. I didn't notice a kids menu so we just ordered off the appetizer menu for her and luckily it worked out ok. The fries came out really hot making my two year old not like them at first but once they cooled she loved them. My husband got the sea food qusadilla and he seemed to enjoy it. My brother got the lobster ravioli and it looked amazing. The prices we great, about $20 a plate but the food was delicious and the portions were more than enough. It felt like Santa Barbara food but without the Santa Barbara prices. I'm glad we were recommended to Aromas grill and we will be going back.

This place doesn't look like much... oh my gosh the burgers in this place are slamming. Probably one of the biggest burgers I've ever had. Get the Aromas special burger with mushrooms and bacon cheese and yum. We probably go once a week and eat the burgers over 2 days. Oh yeah the fries oh my goodness!!!!

Catering food and service is excellent! Freddie provides excellent catering service and delicious food. He is very responsive, easy to work with and delivered our food on time for our wedding rehearsal dinner. We ordered enchiladas with a special request for green sauce, the bride’s favorite. Everyone loved the food and said it was the best sauce they had ever had. A picky nephew even went back twice. We ordered cheese enchiladas for vegetarians and they were equally good. Food, chaffing dishes, and warmers were set up in our home professionally in just a few minutes. Everything looked and tasted great. Home made chips and salsa were also fantastic! We ordered for 20 people with rice and beans. Everything was great and plenty of food. We were happy to have a local business host our dinner and will definitely use them in the future. Three of us met for lunch and each had a different salad. The Cobb, Chicken Caesar and Grilled Vegetable Salad were all excellent. Food was wonderfully prepared and there was a lot of it. Prices were very reasonable. We would highly recommend Aromas Grill!

I love this place. The food is good and reasonably priced. I especially enjoy the live music on the last Friday of each month during the spring and summer.

Discovered this place passing through, and will definitely try to be back. The initial curb appeal gives a small town vibe, and the atmosphere doesn't disappoint. Everyone inside--patrons and staff--seemed comfortable and friendly. There is a good range of food choices, and even the kids menu includes the option of a legit pizza from their oven. Everyone was happy with the quality of the food. Excellent!

This was a good find. This was my first time in Aromas, CA. I stopped by for food and beer. I had a chicken sandwich, which was really good. I also had onion rings that were also very good. Finally, had a nice cold beer. The server was super nice and very helpful. I'll have to come back :-)

Came for mid day eats was attended by Alexis who was very kind and funny. I ordered the brisket burger and their Philly cheesesteak special and both plates were tasty as well as filling. I will be back to try their breakfast and dinner options.

4 Stars - Heavily weighted for location Great place in the small village of Aromas. Considering there aren't other options for restaurant/bar/grill nearby, this place gets a big thumbs up from those of us living nearby. Friendly serving staff, not always the most expeditious, but they're not too bad. Food is very tasty and reliably good. Admittedly, I would evaluate the restaurant differently if it were in a city... but it's not, so it gets 4 stars! I've had breakfast, lunch & dinner here many times (i.e., take-out, eating at bar & eating at table). I would definitely recommend to friends and I send folks there regularly.

My hamburger was made just right and the fries were good too. Excellent service from Adrianna (my niece).The interesting thing for me was the fact that my brothers and sisters and I grew up in this Adobe house when we were little.

Food is really good. Atmosphere is comfortably upscale and homely. The staff was very friendly. Only issue was that it was busy so waited half an hour for our check to arrive and one of our orders only arrived once everybody else was done eating while one of our drinks never arrived. Really great things mixed with not so great, but overall, a good experience.

The food was delicious, and everything had great flavor. Although I didn't try the drinks, they looked great as well. Not the most family-friendly place, but they did have a kids menu. Also had plenty of outside seating and heaters.

My friend wanted to come here for lunch and I begrudgingly agreed. I didn't like the past few experiences and as a result haven't been here in over a year ago. I was pleasantly surprised at how much they improved and I will be returning. They got new menus and had the picture of the Chicken Bacon Ranch Sandwich so I ordered it. When it came out it looked so good that I forgot to take a picture of it to share with you all. It was delicious. My only complaint with my meal is that the salad had some wilted greens. Sweet potato fries are good here as well. If you're deciding about getting them then order them. Service was so, so. There was only one waitress so it took a little bit for her to get to us, but once it started slowing down she was very pleasant and attentive.

Really great food. Good service. Nice design. The live music was good. Front patio REALLY could've used heat lamps. Definitely recommend a jacket if you're planning on being on the patio past 6:30pm. Will be coming back!!

Fried artichoke heart appetizer and Fridays prime rib special was excellent. My Dad had the blackened rockfish which he also enjoyed. I've always had a good meal here. Nothing fancy but It's a great place with a home town atmosphere.

The food was really good and they were very polite and friendly we sat outdoors and enjoyed the breeze on the warm afternoon I ordered the seafood combo and the person I was with ordered the same, The size of the portions were kind of small but they were very delicious The batter is amazing and the fries are very delicious as well The chef salad on the side was a nice little delight definitely give them a try the next time you are in aromas or even if you aren't. Swing by you won't be disappointed!

Decent outdoor dining area, good burger, cold fries, slow service...had requested on ordering that fries be served HOT, they were cold, had to send back...I have eaten here several times and generally like it but the service has gotten really bad over the past year. Also, don't even order pizza here...

Not really any allergy friendly dishes, so when my family goes, I don't get to eat anything. I do get to watch everyone eat though. For the most part my family seems to enjoy the food. It's nice to have a place to gather near home. The service is extremely slow so be prepared to wait a while and just hang out.

Have eaten here only three times within the three years of living in Aromas. Why? Everything is overpriced and the food is simply not good. Flavorless, greasy american food. Its redeeming qualities are the decent service and burgers which have been a safe bet. But convinced the reason its rated highly is because its the only sit down restaurant in this town. Youd be better off driving 10 minutes to get more interesting options in San Juan Bautista or more authentic, higher-quality Mexican food on any corner in Watsonville. Aromas deserves better than this.

Food is good but the service is terrible. Last Sunday was worse than usual, the waitress came to our table 3 times. 1st time she took our order, the 2nd time brought us our drinks, 3rd time brought our order. I had to go find her to ask for a fork. So my wife could eat. She never came back. I had to get it. Then I had to go and find her so I could pay the bill.

My fiance and I were looking to have a nice dinner, especially since this is one of the few places that are open during the quarantine. But, when we got there, we waited for a full 20 minutes before we decided to just leave. No one had come up to greet us, or give us a menu, and no one even bothered to offer us anything to drink. There were customers beside us that happened to pick up a menu, and one of the servers went to them before they got to us - and they had already finished eating. I would like to give Aromas Grill a try for next time. But, tonight was just a poor performance.

Their service is pretty good but it will be my first and last time being there, almost 17 dollars just for my pizza to taste like burnt and to look like this. I had to eat it because me and my sister were really hungry and didn't have much money and this is all we could afford.

I ordered a bowl of the minestrone soup for dinner. I love a good Minestrone. The Grill should be ashamed of themselves. I was served a watery red broth with penne pasta and a few spinach leaves. A scattering of Parmesan, for $8.95. It would have been much better for the kitchen to honestly say they were out. And I am a local who has enjoyed lunches here. The service was good.

Was a little bit dismayed. Frequent this establishment 1 or 2 time's a month. Food and service used to be great! It has steadily gone downhill. I was there with my family on 10/17 21. Asked the waitress a couple of questions about items on the menu. She had no answer to any of our questions, and had to keep asking someone else. She didn't know the menu? Also, this establishment serves beer and wine. Minors are allowed, providing they're eating. I witnessed a mother and father and four minor children sitting at the bar, consuming soda, and watching sports on the TV. They were there 35 minutes when we finally left, and never looked at menus. Don't know if the owner of this establishment cares about their business, they better pay attention to what's going on in it. Good way to lose your liquor license.

Absolutely the worst service I ever had .The plate was literally disgusting.Dusty as if it had been sitting on the top cupboard for months, the cook had to see that, not only am I disgusting I'm speechless.

Absolutely the worst service I ever had .The plate was literally disgusting.Dusty as if it had been sitting on the top cupboard for months, the cook had to see that, not only am I disgusting I'm speechless.

The Grill has seriously declined and it's truly a shame to see how far it's fallen. Every single time I order from here 75% of the tables orders are messed up or incorrect and then we're given attitude when we it bring up to the staff. The only reason anyone comes here is because it's literally the only option in Aromas. This last time however was so terrible that I will never come here ever again, which is a shame since I go once a week. One order of our table of 6 was correct which was to be expected. We were given an attitude because unfortunately that's standard operating procedure. The icing on the cake though was that after paying the bill one of the ladies ran out to the patio and accused me of trying to skip my tab and demanded that I pay again. I had to open my email and show her my receipt and she went back inside. She came back out and we asked if everything was alright to which she snapped YES. Needless to say the staff needs retraining in customer service.

Hi, this is Ramses Gomez, I was visiting aromas to meet with one of my clients, so we met at this restaurant for our meeting, I thought this place was going to be pleasant but it was totally different, I ordered a shrimp penne pasta and was a real mess, I tryed to get a hold of the managers or owner but they bomb me over and told me nobody was in charge, the pasta was disgusting. I recommend Roger's restaurant 100 %

I was rejected service today by the bartender J enny at 3:40pm. Never in my life has this happened to me. She had a personal problem with a party of mine outside of work place nothing to do w work. I asked can we get some service, and replied " i can't serve you guys" she said why ,i said I don't whats going on but if I can grab our drinks and take them to the patio so you guys don't see each other, she said NO. Pretty UNPROFESSIONAL! I like the town Aromas really friendly really sad they have people like that work there . Personal stuff is not to be at work place.......Mr Owner.....my concern?? I was disrespected! WE Never said or did anyone wrong. She(Jenny) could of said when we sat down her situation and we would of left... professionally but instead just smirked every time she walked by. Listen I'm 41 years old I don't have time for this . I'm just saying could of been professional. Mr Owner I've never been denied service anywhere , do your do diligence,I'm a" customer"

My family and I have been coming here frequently for at least 5 years and our experience today was very unsatisfactory. We sat ourselves, as usual, a party of 5 in the middle of the restaurant. We sat and waited patiently as about 5 minutes went by with no acknowledgement before another table entered, who sat themselves as well, right next to our table. One of the 3 waitresses working then went around our table to go and greet this table no more than 2 minutes after they sat. We stayed for about another 5 minutes with not even a hello or slight acknowledgement before picking up and leaving. The old staff was always welcoming, but seems the new staff does not seem to care to greet any new tables. We were beyond disappointed and do not plan on returning.
