Simply incredible. This is one of the best restaurant I’ve ever been to. Every product was top quality and unbelievably good! And oh man the panna cotta was the best dessert I’ve had in my life. The staff was super nice too! This is my new reference for italian food, 100% worth the detour.
What an amazing gem! We had been scouting this place and finally stopped in on our final night in Italy - so glad that we did! The food was absolutely phenomenal including the gnocchi with ragu, and the beef tartar - but the best part was the flawless service and little surprises throughout including the candy at dessert, the sampling of house wine, biscotti and limoncello. A reminder that Italian supper service is like no other. Our waiter was wonderful - attentive and funny. A meal we will remember for a long time! Thank you!
My family and I had an incredible experience at La Storica di Asso. We were treated with kind and friendly staff who made great recommendations for us. We don't speak Italian which was no issue, our waiter made a big effort to make sure we like our food, and brought out all of the fixins for enjoying their speciaties. The primis and secondis were incredible. The desserts were absurdly good. There is a rotation of items on the menu, and I got a yogurt-based panna cotta with berry sauce and fresh fruit, and it blew my mind. It was a perfect experience and delicious food. Grazie mille!

The best restaurant I’ve been to in Italy. Unfortunately, I don’t speak Italian (I’m in your home I should be speaking the language, you know?) but the staff were nice enough to translate the menu for me. They really went above and beyond for my guest and I. I cannot thank them enough for their kindness. The food was incredible, as well as the wine, but the best part was the dessert!! They recommended the Panna Cotta alla Salsa di Fragola. The waiter assured me that it was the best I’ll ever have and he wasn’t kidding. The atmosphere of the restaurant is beautiful as well. Please eat here whenever you get the chance. I hope to come back sooner than later.

If you are looking for an authentic culinary experience far from the tourist crowds, at the Storica you will be warmly welcome. Home made pasta, refined meat and cheese plates are carefully presented and served…expect to be spoiled!

Such a lovely place! The host was great, went above and beyond to make us feel good and to make sure we enjoyed our visit. Thank you for the homemade biscuits with Anisette, and for everything! I’m sad we are leaving Asso soon and we can’t visit you again !
Really nice restaurant with a fun yet traditional decoration! The whole staff is very sweet, helpful and corteous! The food was really delicious and different! An amazing experience and I will definitely be coming back!
Extremely good traditional food, top quality, great service with very kind waiter and owners. Wine was cheap and good (we had Sicilian white), pasta was a touch pricey but worth it.
One of the best experiences and food i had have in a restaurant. Italian food at its finest. The customer attention is awesome, they make you feel like you're at home. A must go if you are around this place. 10/10

We had stumbled upon this place few years back. On a lazy Sunday afternoon. It was one of the most memorable experiences. Highly recommend.
We discovered this great restaurant only thanks to tripadvisor. From outside you would not realize that it is one of the best Italian restaurant in the area! Cute typical decoration, two very kind hosts, they speak English. We went on a Thursday evening (recommended when you want to avoid Saturday's rush) and had an excellent menu, offered only that day. For 45 euro per person we had delicious antipasti (tartare, cheese, salami, prosciutto...), main course (one of the best beef ever, special Storica di Asso potatoes), dessert, coffee, wine, water and digestifs. And some other small surprises here and then during the courses! We absolutely recommend. Casual dress code, you may better reserve on weekends, parking free in the evening from 19h00 onwards in the village.
Authentic italian atmosphere. Amazing food and fantastic, genuine service. If I'm ever at Lake Como again I'll come back.
