We enjoyed an excellent Piedmontese fried dish, both in quantity and quality. The staff was courteous and attentive to their guests' well-being. The atmosphere was simple, yet decidedly comfortable. The price was reasonable (about €80 for two, including water and good quality sparkling wine). A pleasant discovery!

We came for the Piedmontese-style fritto misto and were truly satisfied! The fried food was plentiful, excellent, and not overly greasy. The pieces were generous and tasty. The peppers with bagna cauda, ​​which we had as an appetizer, were absolutely the best I've ever had! And the Bunet was excellent! We'll definitely be back! The restaurant is also beautiful, recently renovated while maintaining the atmosphere of the original venue. I particularly appreciated the use of tableware branded with the restaurant's logo, as was the custom in the olden days. The background music was pleasant. Judging by the reviews I've read about this place, Daniela Palestro's new management has definitely improved the quality of this historic restaurant!

Superb experience, 6-star food quality, even the fish was fresh and delicious, we are in the Asti hills so finding fish at that level is extremely difficult, but Roberto and Daniela amaze and win over even a pain in the ass like me 😅. Family mid-August lunch went perfectly, not a single flaw, raw meat... veal with tuna sauce at that level it had been years since I had it, and I was Piedmontese, Daniela managed to make me like the cherry tomatoes with ravioli. The Fassona steak tartare was perfect, the octopus but you can't even eat it this good at the seaside. The service with the place full was impeccable, the timing between one course and the next was perfect. The staff was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. The amaro recommended to me by Roby was excellent even though I'm not a fan of rhubarb but I trusted him and he wasn't wrong in recommending it to me. The place is rustic and rightly so being in the hills. The cost...now I have my own ideas about costs, namely: you get quality, you get quantity, you get spoiled and pampered, all pluses for a restaurant, so I pay without a second thought because IT'S GORGEOUS and you leave feeling completely satisfied, so the price is more than fair. I don't know what else to add because words don't convey the quality of the food, so if you read my review, don't waste your time, call and book, you won't regret it. CONGRATULATIONS and hugs to Roby and Dany from me, Silvia, and Davide. But Roby, as soon as he gets back, who knows, we'll see each other again.

Traditional cuisine, like it used to be. This restaurant is one of those places that makes you feel right at home. The atmosphere is warm, simple, and retro, with that authentic flavor of old-fashioned trattorias that is increasingly difficult to find these days. The cuisine is authentic, sincere: traditional dishes prepared with quality ingredients and reasonable portions. From the first course to the last, you can taste the respect for local recipes and the passion for a job well done. The appetizers are very good, the first courses excellent, the second courses and the desserts. The service is friendly, genuine, and attentive, just as you'd expect from a family-run restaurant. Prices are a little higher than the local average, but justified by the excellent food. Highly recommended for those looking for a typical restaurant where you can enjoy authentic traditional dishes. You come here to eat well... and you'll want to return.

Excellent welcome, table service, from the "bad" lady who treated us very well. I only had the mixed fried fish, which was very good and plentiful. The liver was a little dry, but the apple was delicious. Unfortunately, there was the pavesino, but the amaretto was missing. I'll be back.

An unplanned lunch stop while just passing through Callianetto was a pleasant surprise at Ciabot, where, even without a reservation, I was lucky enough to find a table. Two appetizers and a main course were very good, simple in their simplicity, with friendly and fast service. I'll have to return because the menu was all inviting, but my stomach wasn't big enough! Special mention for the green tongue... Spectacular!

A positive but not unforgettable experience. The food was good, but not what I expected based on the reviews I'd read and the recommendation. The trio of appetizers was pleasant, but the first and second courses lacked that extra something to be memorable. Service was fast and attentive. The place was very well-kept and pleasant.

Good Piedmontese food, decent portions, slightly above-average prices. The staff was young and friendly, except for the lady who runs it (?), who didn't hesitate to complain about the two younger ones. The place was very clean, spacious, and newly decorated. We appreciated the distance between the tables, which allowed us to chat freely. The service was timely: everyone had their chosen dish at the same time, and the staff was never rushed. It was a nice dinner, but not one that would make me want to return.

Unfortunately, some reviews promise a great restaurant. In reality, the expectations are completely unfulfilled! The ambiance is reminiscent of a somewhat dated inn; the service team tries hard, but barely speaks a word of English! The food itself, while attempting to be authentic, lacks skill, and the taste isn't that great either! The prices are significantly too high for the dishes! It's a shame, there are much better restaurants in the area! Unfortunately, I can't recommend this restaurant!

La mia esperienza è stata negativa , più di un ora x mangiare un risotto insipido , mio marito una polenta fredda e un baccalà scondito e delle cipolle caramellate senza sale . Sono inoltre state servite persone arrivate dopo di noi . Non penso che tornerò mai più .
