Well, if cocktails count as food, and local knowledge counts as service, this place is a 10!!!! Kat at the bar was absolutely perfect, and Jake was so warm and welcoming and personable! He gave some great suggestions for where to go and what to do while in town! He's the real gem of this place!! Be sure to stop by when you visit Rainey St.!!

Stopped in for a cocktail, and happened to watch Justin meticulously clean every square inch of that place. It’s clear he really cares about the customer experience. I hope the owners appreciate him!

I lead tours on rainy with LA epic club crawls(come join :) ) we had Katheryn as a bartender she’s incredibly attentive, made amazing drinks, set the vibe, and made our time for the Bach group feel special. This is always my fav bar to bring guests on rainy the DJ played amazing music and was a great guy! Door men were funny and great at the door would 100% recommend this bar if you guys want a real Rainy experience!

ATX native and I walked in here last on a Thursday night after a twelve year hiatus from Rainey. Had no reason to leave. The bartender (Jake) was incredibly welcoming and the cocktails were on point. Makes me feel like I was in the old Rainey with the house atmosphere and welcoming folks. Will certainly be back.

Went there for a birthday we ordered the pepino borracho drink, fajitas, tamarind Brussels sprouts, elotes, everything was delicious I even got a birthday shot and a sparkler show. Very sweet

Great music jockey the night we visited. Fun and relaxing atmosphere. Enchiladas, tacos, and the dips are all tasty. Staffs offer great services. We also love their swings seats in the patio area. This place is great for friends gathering for food and drinks!

Rating: 4.5/5 [dine in] We were walking through Rainey St after ACL and saw they were giving out free margaritas for people with ACL bracelets. We got ushered in, and the bartender asked if we wanted regular or mango. We all went with the mango, which came frozen in a beer mug. I was surprised by how much they gave, and it was delicious! I didn’t really taste any alcohol though, but it was super refreshing and would’ve been perfect at ACL. Loved the decor, music, and overall vibes!

I came to Austin for my bachelorette and stumbled into Cantina 512—and it ended up being the highlight of our night! The energy was amazing, the DJ had everyone dancing, and the people working there went above and beyond to make it unforgettable. Workers were walking around with bubble guns, which made for the best pictures and such a fun vibe. My friend told the manager it was my bachelorette, and not only were we treated like VIPs, I even got to go into the DJ booth and shoot off the fog gun (bucket list moment!!). Everyone there was incredibly friendly and the party atmosphere was unmatched. Seriously, we went to a bunch of other bars that night, and nothing compared to the experience at Cantina 512. Can’t recommend it enough—especially for a girls’ night or bachelorette weekend. Thank you for the memories!!

The salad (add a skewer on top!!) was to DIE for - jicama and mango really set it off. That alone is worth coming back for. We weren’t a fan of the flameado - the alcohol didn’t all burn off of the veggies when served, so they tasted off. Salad pictured. Indoor and outdoor seating AND indoor / outdoor bar. The atmosphere was awesome.

A wonderful experience not too far from our hotel. Because of Trent's amazing customer service and expertly crafted drinks we went back all 3 days of our visit. Had enchiladas as well as the sampler, absolutely divine. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a lovely outdoor hang out or good drinks with a killer vibe!

Had dinner on a Monday evening. It wasn't busy. The fajitas de carne was very good, steak was excellent, plenty of food. Maybe a little pricy. For a slow night, the staff wasn't very attentive.

This place just draws you in from the street! It's so pretty and different! What attracted me to it were all of the photo ops, but surprisingly, the drinks and food were also good! Staff is super helpful and also a lot of fun! Prices were pretty cheap compared to some of the other bars on the street. What a great place just a short distance from our AirBnB!

We loved our time there, the decorations were according to the occasion of Valentines day as we went on Feb 15th. A lot of photo booths and lights for photo ops. Drinks were great and strong enough. Nice young and hip crowd, nice experience and will go again. We ordered margarita, cucumber tini, valentines special raspberry cupid and everything was great

Good service, drinks were okay. I liked that it was happy hour and a decent selection was half off. The music was so loud at 5 pm and hardly anyone was there. I didn’t understand why there were bouncers there but maybe this is a young person club spot and I’m just old. Never the less, staff was friendly and kind.

As a vegetarian it it hard to find restaurants with more than one option. This place has several options. The food was great. The server was very attentive and got our orders all correct. Ok. So if you are looking for vibrant loud music with dancing lights and a good bar then this is your place. If you are looking for a quiet dinner where conversation takes precedence over food, look elsewhere. The servers are happy people. The food is Tex mex and that says everything. If that’s your things it is great ! The fajitas were awesome.

The steak fajitas and shrimp skewers are phenomenal! The decor in this place is over the top. Lots of thought put into the design here. Food is great. Service was good. Outdoor seating is great. My only complaint is the music. It is too loud so if you’re popping in for dinner, expect your ear drums to be numb when you leave.

I went here with a friend for dinner on a Saturday. It was very busy but luckily there was a table inside. We had the Rainey St Guacamole to start and it was good. I also ordered a Pepino Borracho and the Lonestar Brisket Taco, both of which were very good. We ended the meal with churros, which were delicious. The only thing I wasn’t a fan of was the tall chairs, which weee very uncomfortable. They were too tall to put your feet on the ground, there wasn’t a ledge on the table for me to rest my feet and they were dangling awkwardly.

Lucille is a nice vibe in Rainey street. At first it will look like a normal small bar but the moment you enter you will see that it is huge as they have a lot of open air space at the back side. When we went there was a private party going on at one of the sections and the vibe was super lit. Drinks are ok and there is no service at the table. Service and drinks aren’t great but vibe is amazing.

We stopped by Lucille on the night of July 4th with some friends. It was pretty empty around 10:30 PM. The DJ was alright--he played some good tracks but didn't really mix or transition between songs much. The bartenders were pretty relaxed and even hyped up our friend when he started breaking out some crazy dance moves. The bar itself feels really dated and could definitely use a refresh though. Lucille Special Tea ($13.85): This is made with Deep Eddy sweet tea vodka, citrus juices, and soda. Unfortunately, it didn't taste cohesive or fresh. The tea even tasted slightly warm, which made me think the bartender didn't shake it properly.

Great atmosphere for a group. Plenty of space. Multiple bars. Drinks are pricey, bar tenders are inconsistent with their mixing, but very friendly. Go to spot on a warm night. Had a poop smell to the place.

This was our first time at this restaurant, and the servers were not very attentive. We asked for a couple of extra minutes to look at the menu since it was our first visit, but they didn’t return for about 20 minutes—it felt like they forgot we were there. This place seems to focus more on drinks than on food. The overall atmosphere makes it clear that selling drinks is the main priority, while food is secondary

The food was good but the place is VERY dark. It definitely has a night scene vibe. The service was just okay and the food came out in a timely manner. My main reason for 3 stars is the music! VERY vulgar! This is not a place to take children although there was a family with at least 5 kids under the age of 4 there but I’m sure they didn’t expect the music to be so vulgar. Probably would only order to go if we ever wanted food from here again.

Cute ambience and nice bartenders but on our way out, it was clear we were celebrating a bachelorette and one of the guys at the gate says to our BRIDE “wanna know why divorce is so expensive? Because it’s worth it.” Talk about distasteful. Ruined our experience. If you’re a bride to be, skip this one. Bitter divorcées can’t wish others a happy marriage.

I visited this restaurant at ~3 PM on a Saturday with toddler. Upon entering, Kenny greeted us warmly and made us feel welcome that was the one highlight of our visit. Unfortunately, everything else left much to be desired: • The Mexican rice was poorly prepared not flavorful, and not at all what I’d expect from authentic Mexican cuisine. • The enchiladas had very hard, plastic‑like edges, while the filling was watery and lacked proper texture. • Overall, the taste was bland and underwhelming. Despite asking ahead of time to confirm that kids were welcome, it wasn’t like it was 8pm at night we got the sense during our time there that they didn’t want us there per the general manager.The DJ played good music, and Kenny’s hospitality stood out — but overall, I can’t recommend this place. One star reserved for Kenny and the DJ; food and dining experience dragged it down. I grew up in Austin and these places on Rainey and the downtown area are not the same doesent give the same homely hippie feel anymore .

I stopped in for a quick bite. I had the big crispy and chips/salsa. The shell for the big and crispy taco was very stale and tasted old. The taco itself lacked flavor. The Margarita was mediocre at best. The salsa also lacked flavor. I had high hopes for this place and was let down.

lowk the worst place i have ever been in my years of living. Writing this as I am sitting at my table now having waiting 20 minutes for 2 bottle beers. Bar is empty tables all around empty not a worker in sight. we waited 20 mins for our first 2 beers and 30 mins for a paloma then waited more than an hour for food, felt like workers were hiding because of the long wait times then the food came out with no sides and the portions def do not make up for the wait, food was mid af so I would hit literally any other bar or restaurant on Rainey and stay far far far away from this sorry excuse of a bar? a restaurant? idk what they are aiming to be marketed as but I think if they marketed as a circus with a clown show it would be mush more on brand!
