Desi Tadka is praised for authentic and flavorful Indian cuisine, especially the butter chicken, biryani, and naan. Some customers have complained about misleading photos, high prices, small portions, and lack of flavor in certain dishes like biryani. It is a ghost kitchen.

Tried Desi Tadka for the first time and everything was really good. The chicken tikka masala was rich and flavorful, the saag paneer was creamy and the paneer really soft. The chicken 65 were super tender. Their samosas and rolls were great too. Definitely ordering again!
Absolutely amazing! This Indian takeout exceeded all my expectations. The butter chicken was rich and creamy, the spices perfectly balanced—not too hot, but full of flavor. The garlic naan was fresh and soft, perfect for dipping. I also tried the samosas and they were crispy and flavorful, with a delicious filling. Everything was packaged well and still hot when it arrived. You can really taste the quality and care in every dish. Highly recommend if you’re craving authentic Indian cuisine!
Drive almost an 45 min. every time have craving for chola bhatura and paratha. One of the best place for north Indian cuisine.
Desi Tadka Indian Cuisine is an absolute gem for anyone craving authentic Indian flavors. The food is consistently delicious, with a perfect blend of spices that make each dish burst with flavor. The butter chicken and biryani are must-tries, and the naan is always fresh and fluffy. The service is prompt and friendly, making the takeout experience smooth and enjoyable. Whether you're a fan of Indian cuisine or trying it for the first time, Desi Tadka will not disappoint. Highly recommended!

I ordered butter chicken masala, rice and garlic naan from this newly open Indian restaurant in Austin. The taste of the food was awesome.
It’s so hard to find such genuine, authentic Indian food here, but this place truly hits the mark. Highly recommend for anyone craving real desi flavors!"

PLEASE MAKE IT CLEAR That THIS IS A CLOUD/GHOST KITCHEN. this is NOT an eat in standard restaurant, no waiters, just tablets and doordashers. Idk how the food is yet but I WAS EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED to come here after paying for a ride expecting a pleasant meal to celebrate recovery to be served by beeps and robots at plastic tables.

Ordered the tandoori chicken from this place rather than the other Indian vendors here because it seemed like a good deal, cheaper than the others for 4 pieces of chicken (leg-thigh). The picture shows 4 pieces of tandoori chicken. The order only comes with 2 pieces. Misleading and disappointing which is never what you want to feel when you get your food.

Really expensive and did not include rice with our entrees. Prices were more expensive with calling in than they were listed online. Located within some sort of take out food hub.
Ordered Chicken Dum biryani and it was literally tasteless. Not even basic masala. Not worth the money at all

We were excited to go and give a try here, but not quite happy about the taste and service. The food was felt like it was frozen and heated, did not feel authentic. also, burning hot liquid in the plastic containers. Definitely won't go next time here.
Honestly not sure how this place has such a high rating. I ordered the veg samosas and chicken tikka masala, and while the samosas were OK, the curry was absolutely awful. The sauce was flavourless and bland, but the chicken was by far the worst part. Every bite either had gristle on it or literal shards of bone throughout. The chicken itself had an odd texture and just seemed like the lowest possible quality of chicken. I hate to leave bad reviews but this was one of the worst and most disappointing curries I have ever had, unfortunately.
Didn’t realize it was a ghost kitchen so that’s on me — but I’ve had authentic Indian food before. The chicken Tikka Biryani is so flavorless despite the colors in it — it’s like I’m eating food dye. The garlic naan for sure was decent though and I can eat it again but the biryani was such a let down. If you presented this to someone from Dallas this restaurant wouldn’t get higher than 2* 💀💀
I ordered chicken biryani through Uber and it was too salty to eat. Stay away from this restaurant. When you try to call them, it doesn’t even go through. Such a scammers!!!
I bought the Curry Leaf Chicken (Bone-In) and the picture makes you think you’re getting bone in wings but really you’re getting a disrespectfully small portion of chopped up chicken. For context I bought 2 orders for about $30 and the equivalent meat content was that of a 5 piece wings at your averaged wing restaurant. Try it if you want but this place definitely won’t last long.
I had take out for students , order of mutton sukka, it was full of bones and ligaments no meat whatever, chicken biryani was full of red color and too much butter and store bought masala and naans are undercooked, students whose hard earned money was wasted, so I took back the food and showed to Desi Tadka restaurant but they denied refund of hard earned students money or remake it , so I returned the food to restaurant without eating, if you take $40 at least give food worth $10 so that student doesn’t go to bed hungry, better go to McDonald’s or Canes where there is piece of some protein and they honor customers, experienced very rude behavior by this Desi Tadka Indian restaurant person yesterday, taking hard earned money in this economy , first time I took 2 items, one of the items was bad so after calling multiple times they did partial credit for 1 item worth $10, they asked me to bring back the food if it is not good so this time they remembered me and wanted to give $40 worth of bad food for replacement of $10 earlier, I showed handed over bad food to owner I should have shown to other customers if I am lying but I that should have done. God will only know if they have given thrown away large pieces of bones and ligaments not fit to eaten by dog also, and I just wanted to give them second chance and now I am not going back again, this they did specifically to me because they gave $10 credit back for bad food in the 1st order, hopefully now they have to give and they will good food to other customers
This place is a scam. The items don’t look anything like the photos. I ordered aloo gobhi and baingan bharta. Both are shown as drypreparations
