Great happy hour and they have the mole sauce in town. I dream of the chicken mole enchiladas. Don’t forget to add avocado!
GET THE GUAC!!!!!!!! Everything here is sooo good love the house marg love the guac love the enchiladas and flautas and rellenos like they don’t miss! Staff is super friendly and atmosphere is soooo cute. Would sit on the patio if it wasn’t so ungodly hot out. Manuel you have done it again!
Always a stop when we head back home. Great food and service! Love the margs, tres chiles and chicken enchiladas verdes. Yum!
Our favorite Mexican restaurant in Austin. Great food, knowledgeable waiters, we can hear ourselves talk without shouting.
The food was wonderful and of high quality. The server was also excellent. I’m already looking forward to another visit.
Josue is an incredible server who gave us great menu suggestions, was very knowledgeable about the entire menu and knew what to suggest. I recommend the restaurant, and our server.
Manuel's is always a joy. A real hidden treasure. Very intimate setting, great staff and fantastic food! Always enjoy a visit!
Update: excellent service from Lawson in our return visit. The enchiladas and spicy salsa as recommended by Lawson was tasty! Food was bland for my taste. Server took our order and never came back until it was time to pay the bill. Patio is very nice.
The place is highly recommended, I went out with a couple of friends to have dinner and Josué the person taking care of us was amazing. He gave us an insight into the restaurant’s history and its come-up, family friendly . Overall the staff and ms Sarah herself took time to greet us and that made us feel much comfortable. 10/10 experience!
I'm a native Austinite and my family has been coming to Manuel's for ~15 years. I've explored the Austin Mexican food scene far and wide. There're lots of options, but this is the one I always want to go back to. Perfect frozen margs, the food is always fresh and done just right, everything on the menu is great, convivial atmosphere for visits. Whenever my out of town friends ask where to get Mexican food in Austin, I tell them Manuel's.
Fantastic experience at Manuel’s! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and tasty. The margaritas were great. I loved the guacamole, chorizo queso, and campechana. The camarones empanizados were the best fried shrimp I’ve ever had! The service was very attentive and nice. Prices are reasonable for the quality. We will definitely come back!
Make your weekly stop at MANUEL'S!! Delicious Regional Mexican Food! It's all fresh and good, but my favorite is the Shrimp VERACRUZANA!! Well, the Shrimp Lovers Fajitas are dang good too!! Also with their pro, up beat staff and clean, attractive decor you'll just want to stay a bit longer and top off your experience with their generous sized cocktails!! Oh, and if you can catch Bar Master Luis preparing the fresh fruits for cocktails, snap a selfie with that cool guy!! Spread the word!!
We had our holiday Christmas party and Manuel’s and it couldn’t have been a nicer venue. All of our guests enjoyed the food and drink options and the service was truly excellent. The restaurant was very on top of all aspects of the evening. It made us be able to enjoy the evening without stress and the cost worked with our budget. Great Mexican food and excellent margaritas.
We love Manuel’s! The food is consistently delicious and the service is impeccable! All servers are wonderful, but Antonio is the BEST! Our favorite restaurant with the best wait staff. Whether on the patio or inside, the atmosphere is delightful!
Manuels did an amazing job accomodating our 40 person party on short notice. The foods and drinks were excelllent. The ambiance on the patio was laid back and relaxing. Thank you Jenn for helping us!
I love that Manuel's has created a space and menu that truly evokes the aesthetics of Mexico! The courtyard and water feature are lovely. With breakfast comes a fresh fruit plate with a lime wedge --that is a lovely touch that felt truly like being in Mexico. Food is delicious and service was good.
Lovely restaurant, great service and good quality food - we had the mole enchilada, beef tacos and chicken fajitas. Everything was fresh and reasonably priced. We will be back!
My favorite restaurant in Austin. I've been going there for years with family and friends. Great food, great service, and an atmosphere that can't be beat. I never, and I mean NEVER, have a bad experience at Manuel's!
We were there to celebrate a birthday. Lovely decor, friendly and efficient service but most of all...delicious food! It was my first time to dine at Manuel's but will return.
Group of 8, server wasn't very chatty about the options or the menu items that were unclear to us. Cheese dip required tortillas not chips and wasn't really a dip ...so we didn't order it 😂. Had to order chips and salsa. Many dishes were a bit upscale but they delivered great quality and everyone enjoyed their food. We ordered appetizers, dinner, and even stayed for dessert which we all also enjoyed, so the food was fantastic! Really nice outside seating area but we didn't use it, id probably sit there next time.
Maybe my new Tex-Mex favorite. Queso is the real cheese strings goodness style and so delicious. My steak was tndet perfection. Steak fajitas tacos are wonderful. All the sides, especially the black beans are terrific. Service is spot-on and not overbearing at all. Plenty of parking. Make reservations if at a peak time or you have a group.
After having several meals here, when it came time to plan my 40th birthday Manuels came to mind immediately. Especially considering how beautiful their outdoor space is. Needless to say based on the 5 stars, the party was a hit. The service was spectacular - from the day I inquired about booking to the end of the evening. Everyone made guests feel welcome and nobody's hand was empty. The fajita buffet was just right for the group and all my friends sent texts for the coming days about how much they enjoyed the location. Great place for a lunch, dinner, or a celebration!
This is quickly become one of my favorite places to dine in Austin. It is a first rate restaurant serving a wide variety of Mexican dishes expertly prepared with consistently fresh and high quality ingredients. The shrimp fajitas are superb. The service has been excellent. Wait staff is very attentive and welcoming.
Manuels is one of the best Mexican food restaurants in Austin. They have 2 locations, one downtown and one northwest. The Jolleyville rd location has a gorgeous green patio complete with water running into a little mini stream. Waitstaff are friendly and the food and service are excellent. One of their best soups is the Crema de Chile Poblano. It is a roasted chile poblano bisque garnished with queso Asadero & tortilla strips. They have a full service bar and great selection of margaritas. Parking is never an issue. If you want to spend an afternoon or evening at a great Mexican restaurant on a beautiful patio with friends or family enjoying great food and drinks then Manuel's is the place to go.
The Wild-Caught Black Drum fish w/Chipotle Cream Lime Salsa & Mexican Rice was fabulous! The fish itself was so light and flaky with a great texture, and tasted so fresh... but add to that flavor of the sauce that accompanied that is just the right combination of tangy with a great flavor to enhance the fish. The guacamole is some of the best I've ever had. I also enjoyed the cactus salad. It was so unique and delicious- cactus! Who would've thought?! Knowing that everything I ate was organic and freshly sourced locally made me enjoy the meal all that much more. My friends, and I shared a bite or two of each other's meals and everything I sampled was very delicious and I could tell was carefully prepared. Great service, and a very tasteful and warm decor that creates a relaxing and rich ambience. This Mexican restaurant dining experience is at the top of my list! I am definitely
We enjoyed eating at Manuel's. We spent around $250 for a party of four. Other than that the food was great, It was a great place for gathering. Manuel's offers great ambience to enjoy. We were able to enjoy the food and the hangout with friends. I definitely would recommend to check out Manuel's.
Wonderful service and food. I ordered the pescado a la parrilla (black drum fish with mango mint butter), started with the sopa de elote, and finished with the signature flan. Everything was delicious. The prices are very affordable for the quality and the level of service. Hands down my favorite Mexican restaurant.
I had the pleasure of dining at Manuel's Mexican Restaurant, and it was a truly delightful experience. - **Food:** The mole was a culinary masterpiece, rich and full of flavor. - **Service:** The staff's warmth and attentiveness, coupled with expert recommendations, enhanced my meal. - **Ambiance:** The restaurant's clean, spacious interior created a welcoming atmosphere, perfect for gatherings. Moreover, the convenience of being able to make reservations added to the overall pleasant experience. In summary, Manuel's Mexican Restaurant offers a charming blend of exquisite cuisine, impeccable service, and a lovely ambiance. Without a doubt, it deserves a glowing 5 out of 5. An enchanting dining destination that leaves a lasting impression!
We’ve been enjoying Manuel’s for for 25 years…. And it is consistently great. Whether in warm months on the patio or on chilly winter nights inside, the atmosphere is inviting and the food and service always good. Tonight Josue was professional and attentive and made our experience just what we needed.
I can't rate the food because we just came for drinks. But! If the service and drinks are half of what the food is, well, I will be back. We had a fun time hanging out with friends in the outside area. Our server "handler" was beyond amazing. We are a rowdy group. Anyway, go try it out!
What a fabulous restaurant experience! I love Mexican cuisine and it was a delight to see so many regional specialties and such a range of fresh and delicious seafood. The restaurant is large, very comfortable but still with an intimate feel. The staff are friendly and so knowledgeable about their menu. The bar and lounge are welcoming and spacious. You must try the Manuelian Sunset blood orange margarita! I very highly recommend Manuel’s - for a great night with family or friends, or a large party.
We had a wedding celebration dinner on the garden patio at Manuel's for 32 people. There was a pre fixe menu with appetizers, 4 entrees, desserts, and drinks. The food was excellent, the waitstaff was top notch, and the atmosphere was wonderful. Jenn took great care of us while planning and through the entire event. We received many compliments from the guests. I highly recommend Manuel's.
Fantastic food and excellent service! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly done. The team was friendly and attentive, making the whole experience great. They do charge a small fee for an extra tortilla — a little surprising, but honestly everything else was so good it’s hard to mind. We’ll definitely be back! 🌮
Have been at this restaurant for a long time and I love the food, healthy and delicious + great quality. Staff is always nice and welcoming. Beautiful garden patio is perfect for Happy Hour drinks or a nice evening dinner. Definitely recommend!
Thoughtful and well prepared drinks and food. I loved the Mexican martini, mole enchiladas, and postre de coco. Went two times about 12 years apart and enjoyed it equally both times. Wait staff is exceptionally friendly and caring.
We went to Manuel’s on a Sunday evening with our family to celebrate our daughter’s 18th birthday. The dining room was busy, and felt very nice & open. We were seated at a corner table with comfortable chairs. Our server Kate greeted us promptly, and made good recommendations. I ordered a vegetarian dish - Tostada Capitalinas with mushrooms and avocado. When it arrived, the toppings were fresh and generous, with a good combination of flavors. Our daughter had the beef tenderloin with goat cheese butter and devoured every bite. We ordered the Budin chocolate dessert to celebrate, and it was delicious. The quality & flavors were very good and unique. Definitely a cut above other Mexican restaurants in town that we have tried. We look forward to coming back!
Visiting from California and having the luxury of being surrounded by many great restaurants, Manuel's Restaurant in Austin, Texas is a 'must-go' and an absolute gem. As I looked around the dining area, I immediately noticed each dish being served is crafted with care, revealing the freshest ingredients --- with a most wonderful visual presentation (which could easily rival some of the higher priced restaurants we are accustomed to back home in California). All this set the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. As for my main Entrée, I decided to go all out, with the grilled steak, "LOMO DE RES" ... The beef was perfectly cooked to perfection, bursting with flavors with every bite. On a side note, as a red wine drinker and to add to this specific Entrée experience, I highly recommend the; "Piattelli Premium Reserve", a fine Malbec from Argentina ... And for dessert, we shared the bread pudding, "BUDIN DE CHOCOLATE" ... (This culinary combination would be twice the price in San Francisco or Los Angeles) My wife and I also noticed that all the servers seemed happy to work there, which is a testament to Manuel's decades of success and quality dining experience. Wether you're seated in the cozy dining room or on the lively outdoor patio, the atmosphere is lively yet relaxed, making it the perfect spot for any occasion. We'll be back! Cheers.
We moved away from Austin a couple years ago but always make a point to come to Manuel’s when we’re in town. The food and drinks are always so well-crafted, fresh, and delicious. Our server today - Antonio - was such a delight, so attentive and professional. We’ll be coming here for as long as they’ll have us!
Josue was our waiter and did an amazing job. The drinks and food were perfect. We ordered a side of mole with our chips. The beef fajita nachos and tortilla soup came out the perfect temperature.
We hosted my husbands birthday party at Manuel’s and everything was fantastic! Jennifer and her team did a stellar job from helping me plan the menu, beverages and space for our event. The food was fantastic from my husband’s favorite chicken mole enchiladas, shrimp Veracruz and pork tenderloin. The servers were incredibly attentive delivering bloody Maria’s, margaritas and other beverages and attending to every attendee’s needs quickly and efficiently. We were lucky to enjoy a beautiful day on the outdoor patio.Thank you so much to the amazing team at Manuel’s for delivering an unforgettable experience!
One of my favorite Mexican restaurants! The food is always delicious — the chicken mole, enchiladas verdes, and fajitas are absolutely amazing. Every dish is full of flavor and consistently well prepared. The service is friendly and attentive, which makes the experience even better. I also love the beautiful outdoor patio — it’s the perfect place to relax, enjoy great food, and spend time with friends. Highly recommend if you’re looking for authentic Mexican food and a welcoming atmosphere! 🌮🌿
Manuel's is an old Austin gem I've been visiting for years. Their patio and ambiance capture the soul of Austin so well. I planned a work event here recently for 30+ people, and it turns out Manuel's is so well loved, we ran into another group from our company on their own separate outing. The relleno and mole are first rate, and the staff and the owner Jenn are so warm and welcoming. Looking forward to the next time already. Thank you for a wonderful evening
Such a great spot. Beautiful, lively vibes with really high-quality food. Everything we ordered was flavorful and well done, and the drinks were on point. Service was warm and attentive, making the whole experience feel elevated. Will definitely be back.
I held my birthday party at Manuel's in mid-December 2025. The party was seamless, from initial phone contact to when I walked out at the end of the party. The bar area was reserved for us. The party included an open bar, hors d'oeuvres (many to choose from), and a dedicated waiter. There was plenty of parking for guests. The food was attractively presented and decorated for Christmas. The waiter was superb--he kept track of what everyone was drinking and kept everyone's glass filled. All in all, the party was festive, comfortable, (not too loud!), delicious and EASY!! I strongly recommend doing special events at Manuel's.
Great spot, our first time trying it as we were already in the area. For context we love Mexican food and this restaurant did not disappoint. From the hostess who was very nice(maybe a manager or owner), to our server was just a great experience. Will definitely be coming back here with the rest of the family. Thank you!
We had the privilege of hosting our son’s rehearsal dinner at Manuel’s. Our experience was stellar, and extended beyond the dinner itself. Jenn McNevin helped us arrange hotel accommodations for our out-of-town guests, and patiently worked with us in rescheduling the dinner due to illness of the bride at the busiest time of year. The food was excellent, the venue inviting and the service exceptional. We could not have imagined a better experience, and Jenn and her husband, Greg, run a first class operation.
We had our sons rehearsal dinner at Manuels‘s and it was perfect! In every way. The food, the service the atmosphere. Jennifer was wonderful to work with and so helpful. I highly recommend this venue for entertaining your family friends office whatever. Or to dine anytime.
We have been dining at Manuel’s for about 10 years now. It’s always been a staple and their food is delicious. Our service is always stellar but ask for Antonio if you can! He’s the best. We normally we get the mole con queso to start as appetizer, always very good and flavorful mole. The best soup is the poblano soup! We prefer it without tortillas strips. They bring it out to your table and pour it table-side. Seriously the best tasting soup! Our go to meals are the enchiladas which are yummie and in our opinion best in town. Cheese enchiladas with verde and suiza and another with the bandera sauce. Another delicious meal option I rotate in is the chile relleno en nogada, always flavorful and cooked perfectly. Lastly are go to drinks are frozen, with mango and tequila on the side as mexican martinis or micheladas. Encourage everyone to sit outside on the patio if the weather is good. It’s beautiful.
Manuel’s is one of my FAVORITE restaurants in Austin, TX. I have been going there for 30 years, but within the last year, at least once a week for lunch, and an occasional dinner. Their menu of interior Mexican food is by far the BEST around. Their Spinach Epinacas Salad with Wild Drum is out of this world, as are their crab nachos, and ALL their soups, especially their tortilla soup (which is the BEST of ANY tortilla soup I have ever had)! Their MARGARITAS ARE TO DIE FOR, especially the Prickly Pear Margarita. Everything on their menu is fantastic. This is NOT Tex-Mex; it’s the real deal With the finest of ingredients and fabulous blend of spices and tastes That are OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! Their wait staff is professional and attentive. There’s nothing they will not do to make your meal and experience a delight. The atmosphere is also extremely inviting, both inside and outside on their patio built around a 300 year-old live oak tree. You will NEVER regret having dined there!
My family and I have been eating here my whole life, and I can confidently say this is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is always top tier. Everything is made with high-quality ingredients, and you can truly taste the difference. The service is consistently great; the servers are kind, quick, and attentive. The overall atmosphere is intimate and relaxed. My favorite place to sit is out on the patio with all the plants, especially during this time of year. If you’re looking to eat at a high-quality restaurant, I highly recommend Manuel’s.
My lunch at Manuel's was a delightful experience. My waitress was sweet and personable. I explained that I had recently returned to Austin after an absence of ten years and that I was visiting Manuel's for old times sake. I ordered some old favorites and tried some new items on the menu. Chicken Enchiladas Banderas, an old favorite, was still on the menu! With three different sauces, Enchiladas Banderas is a taste sensation. The rice is flavored with a hint of lime. So different from the rice at other restaurants and somehow very refreshing. Finally, the Tortilla Soup, new to me, was heavenly! I sipped my limeade, and thought to myself, "I'll be back soon with some friends!" While I was departing I peeked at the outside dining area. An ancient oak tree provided copious shade and seemed to beckon me to linger outside. What a gorgeous patio area!
On our first visit here, we were thoroughly enamored, originally hailing from Zacatecas, Mexico, where mole holds a revered place as a regional specialty, and I was exceedingly impressed by the superb mole enchiladas and banderas, which tasted strikingly authentic, transporting us back to our hometown, and epitomizing the authentic flavors of Mexican cuisine.
When you want tasty Mexican food - go to Manuel’s! Their recipes are unique, flavorful, and the quality is top notch. I especially love the chilled seafood cocktail appetizers like ceviche and campechana. The apps are all generous and portioned for two. The cactus salad and Lomo de Puerco pork tenderloin with Avocado sesame seed salsa are standouts, and so are the mushroom quesadillas. It really depends on your mood as there are so many delicious choices.
This is the 2nd time I’ve been to Manuel’s. The first time, I loved it so much but hubby didn’t so we hadn’t come back for 3 years or so. I think he’s a fan now! The Campeche was fresh; very watery but I assume that’s how traditional campeches are. I loved the shrimp in it; the fish was but the shrimp was the star for me. My crab enchiladas were amazing - they better be since they were almost $40. But I don’t regret ordering them at all. They were overstuffed with fresh crab. The better sauce of the 2 was the chipotle cream sauce. Great texture and not overly smoky, which I don’t like smoky at all. The fajitas were a mixed opinion for me. They didn’t look appetizing but they tasted good. Even with the sizzle, I didn’t like how there was such little grill marks and char on the meat. The fixins were really good except sadly, their version of Mexican rice is lacking in flavor. The flan was small but good. It had coconut flakes in it so don’t order it if you’re not a coconut fan. The parfaits were good too but it’s really just vanilla ice cream with layers of sauce. Nothing complicated about it at all. The chocolate sauce however wasn’t the typical thin Hershey’s sauce but this viscous, delicious, velvety sauce that really stood out to me. It was the best chocolate sauce I’ve ever had. Not sure if it was homemade though since the waiter didn’t know either. I highly recommend Manuel’s for true Mexican food!
It’s been 25 years since I lived in Austin on Jollyville Rd. Manuel’s is still just as good, maybe even better than it was back then. Service was superb, food was unusual and outstanding, and the atmosphere was festive, but not overly loud. My server recommended the most delicious sauce to pair with my shrimp enchiladas.
Food and service were amazing!! Loved the drink selection and presentation of everything! Lots of gluten free and vegetarian options as well. Our server Jos was very knowledgeable on what drinks paired with the meals we chose, which made everything even better. The food was fantastic but honestly I’d go back just based on the drinks alone. It was a perfect night out!
My family and I have been going to Manuel’s for years. It’s our favorite restaurant in Austin. Sitting on the patio is the best but when weather doesn’t permit inside is nice as well. Our favorite dishes are shrimp flautas with chipotle lime sauce and lomo de res. Great cocktails and wonderful service. A fun place to take out of town guests!

Manuel’s is the best mexican restaurant in northwest Austin. The location is outstanding, especially outside in the courtyard. The service and food are very good.
Manuel's is a lovely-looking place. It's pleasant to sit outside when weather permits, but usually we are inside. The food is tasty, but portion sizes are small and prices high for what you get. The service on our last two visits left much to be desired. It was slow, surly, and in one case, even argumentative. A little training in customer relations would benefit some of the staff here.
Manuel’s is one of the best restaurants in Austin for authentic Mexican food. We have eaten lunch & dinner there, been to happy hour etc. in the past. The food & drinks have always been fantastic! This time though, the service was severely lacking and hence the 4-star review. Our server Josue ignored our table so we had to reach out to him over and over! It seemed like after our server brought out our food, he couldn’t be bothered to come to our table because he was busy with other customers. We informed the manager about our experience and she gave us a gift card to make it up so we will be trying the restaurant at least one more time.
Just made it here for the first time since living in Austin for 8+ years. Great ambiance on the patio. Our waiter seemed a little rushed, almost making our decisions for us while we were just wanting to ask questions about the menu, as it was our first time. To begin, we just asked for fountain club soda, usually free, not here. We decided on the patron Margarita, and nachos with guacamole. I was very happy with the amount of guacamole that came with the nachos. We also asked for a side of mole sauce(again extra charge) for the nachos just to be able to try it is as it was listed as one of the best mole in Austin by wine spectator. Overall we enjoyed our experience and the food was great. Just not so excited about all the extra little charges.
Manuel’s has a beautiful courtyard and it is so nice to sit outside on a cool fall evening. Service was great. I had shrimp tacos and my husband and friend both had the mole enchiladas, which I tasted also. Their mole is superb. Margaritas were great. We also had their coconut flan which was excellent.
Came here for Sunday brunch. Despite it being windy when we were here the weekend before, the outdoor area has a nice eclectic atmosphere. The waiter barely came by to refill water and no refill on chips. The food was delicious. I enjoyed the mole. Most of the items on menu seem a bit expensive for what you get. Maybe due to this being a local restaurant and not a chain? Because it is local, I would like to come back again for the patio and to try other dishes. Not sure when or even if the live jazz occurs as I saw it mentioned somewhere online.
Food was great. We had chile con queso to start. Their “queso” is a little different than most. It is thicker and stringier and served with corn or flour tortillas. Delicious. I had the mole enchiladas and my wife had the ranchero enchiladas. Again delicious. The small house salad was also special. Service left something to be desired. We sat for several minutes without being offered a drink, water, chips or even acknowledged. Finally another waiter came by so we flagged him down and he took our order. Several minutes later our waitress finally showed up. Took a long time to get our drinks and we had to order my wife’s diet coke twice before receiving it. Side salad was supposed to come before dinner but didn’t. We had to ask for it again after receiving our entrees. Good food. Lackluster service. Maybe we’ll get takeout next time.
All of the wait staff is extremely friendly and takes care of your needs quickly. The salsa didn't have a lot of flavor, the guacamole is delicious. We attended a birthday party, so some of the menu was decided. Lots of interesting entrees. Presentation is phenomenal. Also tried the Pink Chihuahua cocktail which was very tasty. The flan is a definite must try! I will also have to say that I enjoy the fact that the tortillas are from El Milagro. One of my favorite brands!
Food was tasty but nothing super special. Don't skip out on the queso and guacamole appetizers, they were the highlight of the meal. Had a slight mess up with order and my girlfriend received a slightly incorrect meal, however it wasn't a big deal. Service was a tad slow but we did have a big party so it was understandable.
Good food, good atmosphere, and friendly service. Ice tea was undrinkable. It was flavored with something that was horrible! Flavored tea at a Mexican restaurant in Texas???? The menu was extensive and varied. The appetizers were good along with main course items. All very good but not quite at the "great" level.
Friends took me out to eat at Manual’s for dinner. We were offered complimentary tortilla chips and salsa. Both were amazing. We ordered beef fajitas for two. The meat was soft, tender and flavourful. The sides were good too. The restaurant decor was very classy and posh. The service was good. We enjoyed our meal and the ambience very much.
Food was pretty good and the service was nice, but I think it was very overpriced for what we got. It's still Mexican food.

Food was not flavored like I thought it was. House margaritas were oversatured with tequila. I like to drink but I want to enjoy my drinks. Atmosphere is top notch. The only thing really flavorful was the rice. I ordered the verde enchiladas and wasn't impressed for how nice the place was. They need to flavor the food
The ambience was confusing for a Mexican restaurant. There’s small fountains outside. There an enclosed patio. The bar area near the front door which is also near the restrooms was stinky and it smelled like farts. The food was ok. The service was great. Juans ceviche had a ton of onions in it. The sopa de tres chiles was very good, just the right amount of spice. That was the highlight of our experience.
Good customer service, pretty restaurant with a really cute patio. Expensive food but doesn’t taste any better than any other tex mex restaurant. Beef fajitas were very chewy, corn tortillas were good but almost raw, would have liked them to be on the comal a lot longer longer.
WARNING!! If you split your check they will put the suggested tip amounts for the FULL BILL bill on ALL the checks!! I’d say an accident but kind of 🤔 beef fajitas were sort of tough rubbery but other than that this feels like a nice swanky spot. If you want Tex mex and to feel snazzy this is the spot. Good atmosphere and good service. Food is par and the tip thing was just ending on a bad note.
The seafood dish was really good, and the waitress was very kind and polite. I got the Tuna steak that was beautifully cooked, however the vegetables underneath were a bit soggy and could have been better. I also got the flan which was a 5/5. What turned me off was a surcharge of $15 for 3 pieces of shrimp that I ordered on the side. I also paid $38 for a fairly small piece of tuna ($53 if you add the 3 pieces of shrimp), and in my opinion that was definitely not worth the price. I would not recommend dining here, unless you carefully look at the reviews to see what you're getting, and ask the price of anything extra you might be interested in.
The food was not terrible, and the environment was nice and moody. However, for the price paid, the food just had no significant flavor. I ordered the ceviche and it tasted only of tuna, no zest or…

Nice place, flavorful food and great service. Sticker shock when the bill showed $100 for two premium tequila shots. I could have purchased a bottle! No prices displayed on shots so lesson learned …

They did not honor my hotel’s discount package that I was owed. I was supposed to get nachos for two and instead received a half order of nachos. Waiter offered to add a beef fajita side to the nachos but failed to mention that it was 15$ for a small amount of beef. Paid the bill and left because I didn’t have anymore time to wait and didn’t feel like arguing with the manager. Food was mediocre at best. Waiter didn’t give us straws either. Just meh experience. Will not return and do not recommend.
Let me start with how everything at Manuel’s was so underwhelming. We went there for lunch and ordered chicken fajitas and chicken enchiladas. The food tasted average, very dry and took way too long to be served. The ambience is very boring. The cost per person for averaged to 35 which I would prefer to pay for better food and ambience. The only good thing was that the server was nice. Compared to all the choices around in the arboretum area Manuel’s has a long way to go.
First time at Manuel's.\n\nThe place is lovely by itself. It's a nice ambiance. \n\nThe only thing I like were the drinks. \n\nThe service was horrible. The place was not packed and the server stat…
My friends and I came here, our server was rude and didn’t attend to our table unless we called him over from other tables (that’s if he didn’t run inside first.) The food took 1 hr to get to our table. Once the food arrived, it was in surprisingly small portions, bland and cold. For being a nearly $100 bill for 2 people, this was the worst experience I’ve had.
Host sat us at a table, but 20 minutes passed by without our server acknowledging us at all. No drinks, no chips, nothing. She came by and chatted with the ladies next to us, and we tried to get her attention with no luck- felt deliberately ignored. My fiancé insists the food is great, and I’m disappointed that I didn’t get the chance to try it. We planned on doing this as our Valentine’s dinner, which makes the experience more disappointing.
Used to love this place. Went today looking forward to a great meal, but literally could not get anyone to wait on me. Multiple wait staff made eye contact with me, but did nothing. No one even brought water or offered me a drink. Watched others who came in after me get served immediately. They were not at all busy. Probably 25% of tables were filled when I went. Finally gave up and left. This is definitely not the kind of service you used to get at Manuel’s. They used to also be much busier and have 2 locations instead of just one. If this is representative of the kind of service they now give, it is no wonder business has fallen off. Extremely disappointed. They need a basic customer service 101 training for all their staff. Not sure if I will go back anymore. There are many places to eat. If you want to remaining competitive, service is everything.
