Opinions de Parlor and Yard Austin
Great place to watch a game. I appreciate the dog friendly atmosphere. Lots of heaters and fire for cold weather. Thank you!!
Such tasty burgers! The service is great too and there's an awesome outdoor patio area. It's a pretty casual place too.
What a GREAT outdoor space. Live music!! Great food and cold brew. Fabulous service by smiley engaged people. GO THERE!!!
Great place with good food and service. We went for the Penn State game (it's the Austin Penn State bar) and they served serval drinks that are available in State College which was cool.
Lots of people, lots of bar games, lots of good alcohol. F Definitely a good first stop on West 6th so you can get drunk enough to make mistakes at the "clubs" around here.
Wow the bar tender Kelsie was so great! She was so friendly and quick even though a UT game was on. Definitely coming back!
They have labatts. Isn't that what you're looking through the reviews for answers on 🤷♀️
Gluten free beer option. You can order good food from the place next door via phone and they walk it over.
Great spot to watch the Buffalo Bills game! Bartenders Eric & Kelsie were excellent. Will be back for sure!
I really like parlor and yard, it's a great place to go hang out, grab a beer, and play some games. If it's gross and hot out you can hang inside, if it's nice then the patio is a lot of fun. It can get really loud inside when the place is packed, but most bars are like that.
Watched the Big 10 Championship here, and it was magical. They had Penn State reminiscent drink specials to help make us alumni feel at home. Very nice touch.
A great bar that my dog and I feel completely comfortable in. The service is great, prices reasonable, the enclosed turf yard is awesome, and the food is top notch for a bar. On my way to becoming a regular here. Don't pass it up.
The absolute BEST BURGER I've ever had! And the bartender that just moved from Philly was super sweet!
Just had our office Holiday Part last night and it was an amazing party! Delicious food and drinks, awesome staffs and services (Thank you Chat!), great live music, highly recommended for big or small parties!
Yard and Parlor is as comfortable as your living room, with it's sectional seating and big comfy leather couches, and a selection of board games on the spacious coffee tables. If you venture off to the side room you'll find vintage pin ball machines and foosball, and in the spacious backyard is even more entertainment: corn hole, shuffle board and ping pong. I was pleased with their craft beer selection and even more happy to find they had the delicious St. Arnold Pumkinator!
The absolute best burger I have had in a LONG time. The fries were exceptional also It was a chilly windy night and they had all the doors open. But the food was A-1
Always have the best time here!! Great atmosphere, incredible staff. It gets so busy in there but the service never falters. I’m never waiting too long, drinks are well made and they all make sure the atmosphere is fun. Best place to watch the Bills game!!!!
Hannah is a Freaking Rockstar bartender! Absolutely killing it! She made our experience even better! Tasty fries and pizza rolls from the kitchen as well! Cool sports bar with the "backyard" vibe. Highly recommend checking them out!
We had our end of the year party here, and my pregnant wife could not eat anything on the menu, so they allowed me to order a pizza on the house. Amazing customer service. Drinks were strong and good. Servers and bar keeps were amazing. I hope our company throws more events here. Amazing to say the least.
Their burger is to die for. I’m still craving it a week later. Drinks were good. It’s a large building and has a great patio.
Cool, fun space with quick service. Loved the house “Parlor” cocktail. I was happily surprised to see so much outdoor seating available on Friday at 5:00. Parking lot is right across the street, easy to get to for someone who doesn’t live downtown like me.
Great place! Got an enormous slice of pizza for a great price, enjoyed a live band, oh, and I can't forget the bartenders. They're some of the friendliest ones in town. This is now my go-to pizza place in Austin.
Fun, Buffalo Bills' place to be! Family, pet friendly, meet good people! Great drinks and sometime free hot dogs! Chicago style.
if youre a football fan this place is a must stop, as long as they got their fans spinning (which theyll normally turn on if they forget or you ask) their outdoor area is super relaxing but not to say the atmosphere cant get loud and hectic. they actually play the broadcast unlike some bars who have music on the whole time or a trash band and if you do want that balance or just a break from the action then indoors they got a nice vibe with a mix of pop music, and lounge seating. lots of fun of course for college/penn state games but nfl too, people line up on bills mafia day but the sunday, mondays and thursday night games are really underrated because this is when you can really kick your feet up and enjoy a few cold ones no matter whos playing. BY FAR the most comfortable place to be in all of downtown and it deserves much bigger crowds beyond the 2 teams aforementioned.
We dropped by and check out the music. They had a DJ that had the whole crowd giving and in a good mood. We got a bottle a champagne 🍾 and watched a fight on the big screen. Fun crowd and attentive staff. Friendly people. We'll be back.
I won’t watch sports anywhere else, Parlor and Yard is the best. Great atmosphere inside and outside, and great service. Sebastian and the other bartenders are quick and so nice, even when you order a tricky drink. Guaranteed a good time here!
One of my favorite bars in Austin! Great for watching sports or getting a nice cocktail on the weekend. The staff is always friendly and nice especially the manager Sebastian! They are a Bills bar but graciously put the Broncos game on one TV 🥲
Came here for a work social the other day. Bar staff were quick to spot us waiting to order. House margaritas were great. I’d say the music inside was a bit too loud for people sitting around trying to eat and talk but the back patio was there for us with fans and misters if we’d really cared. Would definitely go back.
My friends and I wanted to try something new on 6th and found ourselves walking in this cute little bar for lunch. The wings and pizza were delicious and fresh made, the drinks though!? Stunning, the best old fashioned I’ve had anywhere. Plus they are also reasonably priced, but even if they weren’t, I’d go back. I highly recommend!
This is a very nice upscale feel bar 🥂🍻 the inside is elegant and chill but it also offers an outdoor patio with a big TV and a very nice vibe too. Drinks & food are👌🏼
Great spot! Good music, good environment. A bit loud and a bit expensive. Younger environment, wouldnt bring my mom here 🤣
I really enjoyed the food from Boca! I was surprised by how good the pork and pineapple sandwich was. Great food in a cool bar.
Really delicious drinks and a nice venue, but also a bit of a country club vibe here (which you could take as either an insult or a compliment, depending on how you want to look at it). It's not a very exciting bar, but it's a nice place if you want to meet rich people wearing dress clothes (or are one, yourself).
Good indoor/outdoor bar, has corn hole, ping pong, arcade games. Good vibe. Drinks can be on the steep $ side, if you are use to HH specials and such. They also do not have straws anymore
Solid West 6th bar with a full bar, games, and an outdoor patio. The weird thing about this place is that half the time it will be packed with almost no room to stand and then other times it'll be completely dead. I prefer to only hit it when it's dead since it's easy to get drinks and have fun playing games (corn hole, hockey arcade game, pinball, etc) with a group.
Cool bar and the drinks are okay. They had a cool band outside that I enjoyed and have fun board games inside. I will definitely be back.
Great place for Penn State fans! The spinach artichoke dip is delicious! Pet friendly and there is indoor and outdoor seating and bars!
Bartenders were awesome, but beware - it's a very bro-ey bar. It's a great setup, though, with cool bar games and such. With a big group of friends, this place will hit the spot.
So I must admit I did not go there for a drink. I found out that they serve Brooklyn style pizza there. I had a meet Calzone. The calzone was amazing! Really large and filled with meat. Wish they had a meat AND veggie option though. Unfortunately it's either meat OR veggie. They had the doors open so there were flies that I had to contend with and the music was honestly too loud. But the prices are good and the food is great!
Parlor and Yard is cool place to hang out. There is a full bar with wine and draft & bottled beer. They have special cocktails that are good. There is a kitchen that has good pizza & other delicious food. There is a great patio area to hangout & also a separate area to throw beanbags (cornhole). The bar staff was very friendly & fast to serve. I went to a company party and had a great time.
We are! Penn State! We came to this bar to watch the Nittany Lions beat up on Auburn and had NO IDEA that it was going to be off the rails with football fans. Terrific atmosphere for football watching. Young vibe (we're in our 50s) and REALLY LOUD. I may never hear again, but PSU prevailed, so all good. Food here is terrific. The single pizza slice is the best thing to order. We also had wings and I just wish they came with carrots and celery. It's a fun game day bar. Bring your ear plugs, people.
As of June 2025, they have a pop-up NADC (Not a Damn Chance) Burger kitchen. Is it the best cheeseburger ever? NADC, but personally I've never tried a better one. Steak spices, juicy patties grilled to a crispy flavor, picked jollypeños, thousand Island dressing and a sweet moist bun - a medley of tastes, crunches and textures.
Beer is just ok. Pretty weak selection and the music is REALLY loud. Like club loud. We had to go outside just to chat while we drank
Really just mediocre. I wish the music was louder outside. Lots of super young college kids. Just not my cup of tea!
Very loud but an overall chill atmosphere, $10 card limit is a bummer but the pizza was good!
This is definitely a young professional bar. A significant percentage of the men were in sport coats. I'm in my mid 20's and felt like the youngest person there. Drinks are expensive. Nice place though.
Decent ambience. Service was not great for food. They said there was no slices, but served the next guest a slice. They also tacked on a 25% tip for the to go pizza, without asking.
Nice bar. Nice people. Cozy atmosphere. Ping pong tables, indoor/outdoor seating, cornhole court, outdoor heaters, and good music. A little larger than most bars on 6th street, but most bars are small in general.
Normal bar but the added gratuity in my bill was upsetting. Why am I forced to tip 20% for a bartender to open a fridge and grab a can of beer. I would gladly tip my usual $1/beer but I will not be returning. A forced 20% tip on top of an 8 dollar beer is crazy!
I’ve always like coming here, however today they had 10 out of 11 TVs on the Bills (they are a Bills bar) but it’s a pre-season game there was no one was watching. The one tv was on the Olympics and had 11 people watching it, so I asked the bartender to switch one other tv to the Olympics since it was a women’s gold medal race. He refused and said not till the “male” basketball game came on. We finished our drinks and left — I’m still perplexed why you couldn’t turn one additional tv to the Olympics especially since it was pre-season and the Olympics are only once every four years. It was bad service but we ordered two more rounds next door and watched the Olympics there.
Make sure you review your bill. You will be asked to tip on top of being charged an automatic gratuity and credit card surcharge.
Nice vibe. Comfortable seats (sofas). I had the wings, very salty. They ran out of IPA beer on tap, and substituted can beer. Not a place that focuses on craft beer. Great TV coverage of sports, and a very nice outside seating area and game space.
I had a beer there. It was a little pricey. They also allow dogs inside the building. Normally I don't mind animals, but the dog stank up the bar. The seats weren't the best, they were heavily worn, so when you sat on them, you tend to sink into them, making them uncomfortable. I didn't like the crowd the bar attracted, they had the rich spoiled college kid vibe. Not my favorite group of people.
Rating: 3/5 This place always caught my eye whenever we walked by, so I was excited when one of the SXSW events we attended ended up being here. Upon check-in, we received a free drink ticket and headed straight to the bar, which wasn't busy. We ordered an AMF and a Long Island, but both were light and thrown together—similar to what you'd get at a club. Out back, the line for food curved near the entryway, making it hard to tell where it ended. A staff member had to be stationed there just to manage the crowd. The sound quality was also terrible—we couldn't hear anything from the back. To make matters worse, they played music while the speakers were talking, making it even harder to follow. Overall, Parlor & Yard was not a great venue for this event, and I wouldn’t come back for the drinks either.
Impossibly noisy with forgettable overprices drinks. 9 dollar cocktail that was essentially vodka and a lemon. Seriously. I lost my voice trying to scream over the noise to talk with my party. Won't be back unless forced.
I work Service Industry, and I got to say that I was not happy with the fact that they add an automatic 20% to the bill I looked at my total and applied a 25% tip only to see immediately after that they had already given themselves a 20% tip.
Love the concept. Games and... Staff are great. Greed of West 6th took over the great concept. $7 for a local Aus beer on a Sunday is a joke. Sad this place fell for the Austin trap. I'll just stay on s Lamar
Great bar but how can a Bills backer bar change the channel and put socker on during the game? Everyone complained and no one came to watch soccer.
I can't believe I'm leaving this review, but I ordered a jack and coke and the bartender poured a cheaper well whisky and coke. One of the stupider reviews I've ever had to leave, but here we are.
I had a disappointing experience with Sebastian, the bartender. He added a 25% tip without informing me, didn’t provide a receipt, and then pressured me to tip even more. When I pointed out that the tip was already included, he rudely asked me to move away from the bar. This behavior is unprofessional and has made me hesitant to return. Be cautious with the staff here.
Went here for a burger and weren't allowed to eat it outside because we had a newborn with us. Run your business any way you want guys, but I think you and your bartender are missing the forest for the trees. Edit: Appreciate the response. Would have appreciated an explanation from the staff at the time. Still not sure why other bars around Austin allow babies and yours doesn't.
The place is cool. Has live music and stuff. Has a good pizza restaurant. Lost me at an imposed wellness 20% fee. Compared, other places did not even go over 5%. Wages+insurance for employees should be proper & covered by the business not the customers. Lost my business
Forced 20% gratuity for the bartender to crack open a couple of bottles of beer is absurd and a crooked and slimy practice. They then ask if you'd like to leave a tip on top of the gratuity you were FORCED to pay.
They put someone elses drinks on my tab, charged my card and then I had to follow up with multiple managers for MONTHS to get a refund. Then when I finally got the refund the mananger made a comment to me like "I've never met someone that cared so much about $xx dollars before" . Wow. Trashhhhhhh
What i didn't like was the forced 20% percent tip (just call it a service charge and note it somewhere in the bar) then there are no surprises.. with mediocre service (ill give 15% for that) but doesn't matter cause its not removable, add on to that the credit card service charge and with not being able to drink draft beers because of something to do with the kegs..so not coming back here again..🙄.
The bartender was very rude . Overcharged me for beers and then stated they add 20% to everything . I paid cash ! Got 2 beers , one a 12 oz Miller Lote in a can and my bill was $17.00 . Ridiculous. Never going back . Bar two doors down much cheaper and much nicer
My wife ordered from the online store on 4/8. We received a confirmation email for the order, but no status update since. We have also been billed already. When you try to contact this place nothing works - all phone numbers are dead and their info email address bounces back. Is anyone there? So now I'm trying this. UPDATE: Forgot to update, but as the response indicates below we were refunded. The review worked when no other communication avenues did.
Be careful. This bar automatically places a 20% tip on your bill and then hands you a standard tipping bill to sign off on so you double tip. Deceitful, unprofessional and flat out wrong. 99% of patrons won’t see there small font text explains this.
Atmosphere amazing but their men’s restroom sitch needs help - one toilet available, other clogged and the one urinal out of order
The owners son has recently been seen trying to harass the women inside. I watched him try to predate on girls and after being harassed they turned him down. He proceeded to elbow girls in the back to leave the back patio. When confronted for hitting girls he called the doormen to his aid and had others kicked out. This guy is a pure predator!! Please watch out for him He has loose blond hair and looks like a young frat guy. He has the ability to take full advantage of others thanks to his father. He does not own the place. His father does. He will tell you different. Avoid this predators den and frat guys home at all costs
Another disappointing place in Austin that TOTALLY lacks good customer service. Me and my husband came in on a Sunday afternoon ...so defineately NOT busy. Sat down waiting for someone to wait on us...... 20 minutes later.....still no one came over. Meanwhile there r 3 ppl behind the bar "working". Smh!
I am very disgruntled about my experience at this establishment. I was thrown to the ground by an employee when I was trying to leave. I have been unable to contact the owner after dozens of attempts. I am trying to contact the owner regarding a breach of my right to reasonably safe conditions. If you are reading this review, please use caution. This bar is not safe and I would not suggest visiting. EVER!
This place sucks so bad. Never go there.
Had live music which was a plus. Bartender served a drink different than what I paid for & asked for. Frustrating when that happens, if you don't have the ingredients asked for just say that.
Slimy business practices. Added 20% gratuity to bill without saying anything still to recommend that a further tip is added. Letting someone unknowingly double tip is a crusty move. The bathrooms didn’t even have soap… gross
Terrible staff, shady owner, overpriced. Would avoid
this used to be my favorite bar on west..I had my 21st birthday here a year ago and had a tab that went well! But tonight the bouncer was very rude and denied my friends who are 23 & 24, and wouldn’t budge, saying their IDs were fake. The bouncer was a teenager…the manager admitted their IDs were real, and all of our ID’s, but would not apologize and wouldn’t let my friends in regardless
Bartender was terrible and wouldn’t turn just one TV to the last minutes of the close Georgia v Bama game despite the majority of the bar wanting that game on over the starting minutes of the Oregon v UCLA game that he was insistent on keeping on at least 6 or 7 different TVs. Won’t be going back
Told my party of 6 that we had to leave a table after ordering food and drinks because it was reserved for “Penn State fans” despite not letting us know prior. Was told “I don’t have to show you anything” when asked if I could see that policy in writing. I will never go back
I tried to go to this place because it was listed as part of the Texas Venture Crawl evening events (10/6) and so I am walking to the front entrance when the guy at the door tells me to throw away my water bottle because it's not allowed inside and that I can buy water inside. Why the hell would I do that when I already have a full water bottle in my hand? Your place isnt that important to go to or that you can treat people like that. I just went back to the main event space instead of dealing with a rude guy from the front door and because of that this place gets a 1 star rating. If you plan to host any parties for your organization use another place, there are plenty of other places where people wont be treated like that or just do private catering. Most of the bouncers just dont think when they do that kind of stuff. I already told the organization not to use this place again.
Terrible bar. Very aggressive bouncer they literally assaulted me and threw my phone on the street. Contacted the owner. Benjamin Rosen Gomez-Farias and he denied everything. I would consider other options. Tons of underaged drinkers in that bar as well
Less than one star if I could Terrible experience. The bartenders are rude and overcharge for basic drinks — then still expect a tip for minimal service. The staff at NADC Burgers are also unprofessional and even hold your order so your food comes out cold if you say anything they don’t like. Overall, poor service, bad attitude, and not worth the money. There are plenty of better sports bars nearby.
The atmosphere and food were not bad. Great ambiance, the wings were too saucey. However the server for the food/ the guy giving and helping you order was incredibly rude. We ordered food, then they put food in front of us. I assumed it was ours and took a fry. That’s my fault is wasn’t ours. However he threatened to kick me out for that and told my boyfriend the same and gave us such attitude. As long as that dude with the black beard working the food is there; I will never be returning! So much for my 21st lol.
