January 2024 Shore Raw Bar & Grill is a high end seafood restaurant with a cool jazzy vibe. There are different seating areas from indoor, outdoor and bar. That also have a private room to rent out for events and business meetings and has its own bar. Live music is scheduled here too. I wanted to try a new drink on the menu and selected the Smoked Old Fashioned. It cool to see the bartender prepare it for me where he added smoke to it. The drink was really good. I ordered the Roasted Chilean Sea Bass and it was just delicious. It was presented beautifully where the fish had great flavor with a tasty crust on top of roasted garlic rice. Over time I have tried many different menu selections and never been disappointed. May 2024 I enjoyed the Crispy Maine Lobster with large fried shelled claws on top of fries. The lobster had tremendous flavor and fulfilling. The fries were addicting and enjoy dipping them in the tasty tarter sauce. Sometimes I sit at the bar, table or the outside patio on nice days. I had many menus selection and so far all have been excellent and the friendly bartender makes great drinks. It is a bit higher end so great place to reward yourself. There are new art pieces on the walls for sale so feels like dining at an art gallery. The Shore Raw Bar & Grill is on my regular restaurant rotation for lunchtime dining. It is worth the drive though the Y in Oak hill with all its current road construction.

Everything was great! The food, the drinks and the service were spot on! My friends, Wife and I all loved it! The atmosphere is excellent. Definitely a really really nice place. The owners did a really good job in creating it. The stage was really cool and intimate. Wish I could have taken pics of food before we eat but I couldn’t help myself… I’ll take better pics next time! We will be back for 100%!! 👍🏼👍🏼💯

Stellar brunch menu. The Lobster migas are out of this world. Next time we will ask for a side of the chorizo-lime butter, it was a hit. Blackberry margarita is delicious. Appreciate being able to watch sports without booming audio. Casey provided outstanding service.

Absolutely incredible - service, food, everything! We were delighted to see some live music from the table as we enjoyed fresh oysters, yummy cocktails and delectable entrees. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable and kind. We would certainly come back!

I have traveled around the country eating seafood and I can say without a doubt this is the top 2 best tasting seafood I've ever had if not #1. Rick the owner is extremely knowledgeable in every aspect of the unique art around the entire restaurant and the delectable, visually appealing, mouth watering food. The bartender Ethan, was the most personable hard working liquor chef I've had with a heavy pour with a perfect balance. The vibe is relaxing and friendly yet classy and elegant. If you are in Austin you must come here.

The restaurant has a great atmosphere with live music. I’ve been twice and really enjoyed both visits. The service was very good, especially the second time when our server was extremely kind and attentive. I went during happy hour, which was excellent, and our waitress made sure to bring our food and drinks quickly so we could take full advantage. Both times I ordered the Blue Crab Fingers — absolutely spectacular and served with grilled ciabatta that’s just delicious. The ceviche is also excellent, very fresh and flavorful, with freshly made tostadas that are amazing. The calamari is very good as well, and so are the oysters. The margaritas are decent, though they could be a bit better. The live music adds a really nice touch to the whole experience.

If you love sea food must go! Limited options other than sea food. Service was great. Atmosphere / ambiance thumbs up. Cost is a bit higher than expected. Live music, bar and indoor/ outdoor options for eating.

Great place and we will no doubt be back. We have driven past many times but never gave it a second thought until finally one day we looked up the menu and knew we just had to try. Right off the 71 and plenty of parking so very easy to access. There is a large raw bar you can sit at and a regular bar. And there is plenty of indoor and outdoor traditional seating. Shortly after being seated, we were greeted and told about the specials as well as our drink orders taken. This was my first time try 512 Brewery and have to say that it's now one of my favorites! We started off with salads; we ordered the Caesar and Blue Cheese Wedge and both were amazing. We are big fans of "peel & eat" shrimp, so whenever we find a place that's serving it... we have to try. They advertise their shrimp as "Gulf" shrimp and I have to say, since moving to Austin, we have had some fresh Gulf shrimp and it is some of the freshest shrimp ever! While this was good shrimp, it wasn't as good as some we have had from sellers who bring it fresh from the gulf waters. They also use very large shrimp; the size you would expect for a shrimp cocktail but not for peel & eat shrimp. Whenever I have had peel & eat shrimp at any other place, they usually serve a pound of 16/20 or maybe 11/15 size shrimp. I'm not sure this was a pound as it doesn't state on the menu and we didn't ask but again, these are shrimp you would traditional get in a jumbo shrimp cocktail. It came with an unusual cocktail sauce. The sauce did have a nice spiciness to it, but there was some other flavor that we didn't really like. We ate it, but it would have been nice if it was just traditional cocktail sauce with a side of horseradish. They cook the shrimp in Old Bay seasoning which is amazing! Very few places use Old Bay but happily they do. And the shrimp definitely could have been chilled more. The shrimp meat wasn't as firm as you would expect; sometimes when places boil the shrimp, they don't spend enough time letting it cool down to firm up the meat. We will have to come back someday to try some of their fish dishes. They have monitors on the wall and seem to show quite a bit of sports, so no doubt this would be a great place for football when the season starts back up soon. But if you are seafood lover, you will certainly enjoy this place.

This is extremely unfortunate and I have waited a few visits to post a re-review . This review is a downgrade. I'll start by saying we love this place, the chef quality, the oyster selection, the sauces for oysters (horseradish is to die for). But the last few times over the past ?6? months, the service has been lackluster. We have gotten where we chain order (do not let waiter leave until you order the next thing) That is great if time is no issue or you are not super hungry to start, but it is very annoying. My wife is questioning now this as a selection when it was an automatic yes, of course. The prices are very high dollar so you would expect them to be able to pay enough to the staff to keep up, retain service. I am posting our receipt (for four people of which we only shared two entrees) but know this, our waiter Ryan was awesome, just overstretched (I think I counted almost 8 tables he was waiting for at once?) . For reference this is the review we wrote 2 years ago when this place first opened: So, this review is very easy for us. Pretty much we cannot say what was better, the amazing service or the amazing food. Our server, Danny, met our every need. The food was outstanding. The scallops were subtle and the red snapper with quinoa matched perfectly. Kudos to the running of this restaurant. If you have money to spend, this place will not disappoint.

Sat in the patio outside, they had the misters on to keep it cool. The live music was quite good. The food was delicious as ever though the prices are on a bit of a steep side. However, the service was quite slow and unattentive. The restaurant wasn't full by any means but it didn't seem like there were enough service staff. That said, we'll definitely return for the occasional splurge.

Atmosphere of the restaurant was wonderful and the staff was very nice but service was not what i’d expect paying $170 for two people. Food was presented beautifully and tasted great but we spent 2 hours there because our server was often nowhere to be found.

My wife and I took a quick trip to Austin and she wanted some seafood. This place had the best ratings in the immediate area around our hotel. Our drinks and the king crab appetizer were delicious. She had the lobster and I had the halibut with mussels. The halibut was mentioned in many reviews, so I thought I'd give it a try. It was oversauced making it difficult to taste the underlying ingredients, so that was a little disappointing. It's a bit pricey for what you get, but not overly so. Would probably go again when on the west side of Austin, but will likely try some of their simpler, and less costly, dishes.

We went on Saturday. I don't know if that was the difference between our experience and the reviews. I get that this is a oyster bar and there maybe flies. But the flies were crazy! The restaurant itself was stifling. No air moving. No fans which would have helped a great deal. I don't understand why restaurants don't have round tables for large groups. We may as well been in a different restaurant as we could not even hear other friends at the table. I bought the most expensive fish on the menu and was disappointed. The crawfish were non exsistant. The snappy shrimp should be renamed to reflect what it really is bbq shrimp. We all would have ordered it as it was the best item on the menu. The porboy had great bread. The free brownie cake was dry and not very good but it was free but I won't ever order it. The service was terrible but it's bad everywhere but higher priced places you expect more. The expensive drinks are tiny and very pricey. The bloody Mary was good but ridiculously priced. We won't go back. Expensive. Drinks over priced for what you get. No air circulation. Food expensive and does not meet expectations. Poor service.

We have been loyal customers here for a while and have generally been impressed. The staff behind the bar are great, and the atmosphere is consistently good, earning high marks. Unfortunately, last night's visit was a complete disaster in terms of quality control and customer service. ​We ordered raw oysters and the Chefs Burrata Salad (priced at $38). ​The Food Failure: The salad was the absolute opposite of the fantastic dish we had just one week prior. Instead of the crisp, fresh greens, glazed, warm pecans, and vibrant ingredients, this time the salad was borderline soggy, cold, and flavorless, showing every sign of having been pre-made and sitting too long in a fridge. For a premium, $38 salad, this complete lack of quality and consistency is unacceptable. ​The Service Failure: During our meal, the managers approached our table three times. The first two times were fine, but the third time, we specifically mentioned our disappointment with the salad. He simply acknowledged our complaint and walked immediately to the next table, offering no apology, no offer to remake the dish, or any adjustment to the bill. ​Our total bill was just under $150 (including drinks and tip) for a few oysters, two cocktails, and a plate of soggy, $38 greens. When a restaurant charges premium prices, the quality must be consistent, and the management must be prepared to enact proper service recovery when it fails. On this visit, both the kitchen and the management failed completely.
