I would like to write a review about Monsey specifically, but it is not yet on Google Maps. The food is delicious, the place is wonderful, and the staff is friendly. I would be happy to come back again. Welcome to Monsey!

I haven't been to have aveJ in a long time, years and we were there for a while and my nephew wanted coffee, he wound up getting a cappuccino and a some kind of Danish . I tried his cappuccino in a very good was tempted to have one but I wasn't sure. While waiting for my nephew to have his cappuccino I see that they have a chai cinnamon latte hot I order it A few minutes later I was called I for some reason took the wrong order I took an iced coffee tall. I mentioned to my nephew to try it that it was coffee obviously I wasn't thinking it was very good but I was wrong. A few minutes later a man comes and says he , I took the wrong order and hands me my chai tea. I apologized and I was embarrassed The man was so polite and handled it in such a gracious way and courtesy.,he never got upset with me , I did offer to pay for for it he said no please just enjoy it we want you to enjoy it. It turns out he was the owner . There are few men that I have met that have character , he is one of them that I have encountered that has Grace and character, which is so important on how you handle customers . It did leave an impression on me that there are good people decent people. Google Maps should do have an award for business owners because he definitelyis , and there are very good business owners like him . Also the employees are so polite so gracious, it's a pleasure I would definitely go back and I did go Sunday but unfortunately were close but without a doubt I will be back . I visited the new Café Chocolat in Midwood and had such a wonderful experience. The space is beautiful and inviting, the staff was warm and attentive, and every detail was perfect. Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious, and you can tell they truly care about quality and hospitality. We even got to meet the owner, who was so kind and welcoming. Can’t wait to come back next time we’re in NY!

Absolutely incredible coffees, shakes, and breakfast sandwiches, along with an amazing assortment of truffles and pastries. Everything tastes fresh and high quality, and the presentation is always beautiful. There are plenty of seating options, both cozy and spacious, making it easy to relax or meet with friends. The atmosphere is warm, comfortable, and welcoming, and the overall experience is superb. Every visit feels enjoyable and very well done.

One minute you’re dodging buses, strollers, and a guy selling belts on the sidewalk… and then boom — you step inside, and suddenly you’re in this calm, elegant, chocolate-scented oasis where even a stressed-out yeshiva bochur feels like a refined human being. THE VIBE Warm lighting, classy décor, quiet background music — the kind of atmosphere that makes you feel like you should be reading a sefer with deep kavanah but instead you’re scrolling WhatsApp and pretending you’re “working remotely.” This is the spot where shidduch dates, business meetings, “learning sessions,” and emergency life discussions all happen simultaneously. You’ll see a bochur sipping hot chocolate like he’s negotiating a billion-dollar deal. Elite. THE DRINKS The hot chocolate isn’t just good — it’s an event. You take one sip and immediately reconsider every life choice that led you to drink anything else. And the presentation? Stunning. Mamish makes you want to take a picture, post it, and act like you discovered gourmet culture. THE PASTRIES Flaky. Fancy. Slightly too beautiful to eat — but don’t worry, I still ate them. Everything behind that glass display looks like it was handcrafted by a chocolatier who whispers inspirational quotes to cocoa beans. THE SEATING Super comfortable. A bochur could sit here for hours “learning,” which is really code for: chatting thinking about chatting waiting for someone else to show up wondering if anyone saw him walk in with his jacket still on THE CROWD A perfect blend of yeshivish, heimish, classy, and people who just came in for Wi-Fi. Everyone’s here for something different, but we all share the same goal: To feel like we’re in a high-end European café while being 30 seconds away from a pizza shop. BOTTOM LINE Café Chocolat is the unofficial headquarters for the bochur who wants to feel fancy without leaving Brooklyn. The drinks are on point, the environment is relaxing, and the whole place smells like Hashem Himself approved the chocolate. If you’re looking for a spot to unwind, schmooze, read, think deep thoughts, or avoid responsibilities for an hour — this is the place. Highly recommend. Five stars. Would sip again.

Very new and clean. Cool interior design. Feels very premium. Lots of sitting area to do some remote work. Staff was pleasant. They have coffee lattes and some chocolate items.

Fantastically delicious! Start with an appetizer of artisan chocolates (or take a box home). Continue with the sandwiches, a varied selection on fresh focaccia made in-house. Not up for a sandwich? Try the waffles with chocolate drizzle. Or indulge in an amazing pastry; I recommend a fresh croissant (the blueberry reduction with vanilla cream topped with cream cheese frosting was especially good). Wash everything down with fresh coffee from whole beans or a frap in various flavors. Say hi to John (the store manager) as you order. My group tried everything I reviewed here. Enjoy!

Their food and drinks are amazing and the staff is always so nice, friendly, and helpful. My salad was super late this time because they were low on an ingredient, and not only did they go out to get more so they could make it, they refunded me for it taking so long and gave me dessert on the house to make up for it. Shout out to Faith for caring so much about her customers and making mine and my friends’ day! She is an absolute angel❤️

I was genuinely shocked when I walked in and realized what a gem Cafe Chocolat is. Design is really appealing, food great, and the seating is comfortable way above the norm for a cafe. Truly impressive.

I am sorry that I didn’t write before. And it happened because nothing bad happened. 😂 Nice new place. Pastry is just wonderful, prices for such quality acceptable, staff and service excellent. Sometimes during the day when it’s a lot of kids inside a bit noisy but believe me better to deal with some noise and have a wonderful meal rather then sit in quiet place with bad food. Thank you!

We would have like to have tried some of the pastries, but they were mostly gone as it was evening. Rebecca was so friendly and helpful , whilst keeping professional, advising us what was good and explaining the different items on the menu. The vibe was relaxing and upbeat.We will definitely be visiting again!

I am sorry that I didn’t write before. And it happened because nothing bad happened. 😂 Nice new place. Pastry is just wonderful, prices for such quality acceptable, staff and service excellent. Sometimes during the day when it’s a lot of kids inside a bit noisy but believe me better to deal with some noise and have a wonderful meal rather then sit in quiet place with bad food. Thank you!

Was walking on Avenue J and saw this place. From the outside already, you could see the place was clean, modern and inviting.We tried the waffle,mocha and some of the chocolates which were excellent! We would have like to have tried some of the pastries, but they were mostly gone as it was evening. Rebecca was so friendly and helpful , whilst keeping professional, advising us what was good and explaining the different items on the menu. The vibe was relaxing and upbeat.We will definitely be visiting again!

It says it opens at 6:30 Saturday, it doesn’t. They open at 7.. but at 7, nobody is ready! There are no baked goods? They should come in early and do it, not make customers wait. I’ve been here for an hour. Finally, I was able to get cookies at 7:30. Please fix this. It’s misleading.
