One of the best Marisol in town. The menue is very diverse, and the seafood is fresh. Dishes are tasty made to order. I found classic recipes, but done very well. The cava sangria was also very good, although I believe you can ask for ice on the side. The servers are very nice and friendly, and the patrons are here to have a good time. Try this place if you are in town.

We visited here on our first night in Empuriabrava and had to return several times! Great food including fresh lobster and great fish and steak. Lovely staff, waiters, and Marina the excellent bar lady. Thanks from the Englishman with the German wife, hope to return one day!

I had a steak with fries which was very delicious. Perfectly cooked - medium rare. To start we were given olives with warm bread. Nice touch. The place feels very welcoming

Been coming here for years and always been good. I think its got better!!! The resraurant is elegant but not overdone and still reminds you of a typical Spanish restaurant. Service is top quality kind and lots of languages spoken!!! I posted a picture of the carpaccio of raw prawns, excellent!!!! Also a pic of the Paella, I was not expecting it to be so good!!!!! Not cheap but well priced and well worth it!!! Thank you family Silva!!!!

Muy buena atención. Local bonito, con buenas vistas. Para comer a la carta es más bien caro. Los postres excesivamente caros.

La comida correcta, nada especial, una fideua rica, pero un secreto un poco duro y un tiramisú del congelador con el bizcocho semi-congelado. Los precios no van acorde a la calidad.

Servicio atento , pedimos paella para 3 de marisco y la verdad que estaba riquísima adjunto el tiquet es un poco caro pero de lo mejor de la zona , como detalle nos regalaron los boquerones !!!

Had a great experience here, went for dinner and started with some calamari’s which were delicious, then ordered the grilled salmon which in my opinion couldve used some more salt, but was otherwise very good. My girlfriend had the ravioli with truffle sauce which was also very good. Halfway through the service someone started playing saxophone which gave it a very nice atmosphere. Only downside to this place is that on 7 different occasions someone came by trying to sell flowers, watches, glasses etc.

I like fish. In this restaurant, the taste of their fish are very good. The oil, garlic they mixed it very well. And you can ask the waitress to help you, to removed the bonnes of the fish before you eat it

A little too expensive for what it serves and looks like a tourist trap, but overall we had a good experience, except for the bill. First time in Empuriabrava and ended at this restaurant by mistake, we wanted something good to eat and it looked good. It looks fancy and the service was as you would expect for a fancy restaurant. Despite the negative reviews about the service, every waiter there was very nice and very attentive. The food came fast and nobody hurried us. We ordered one starter for two persones- octopus ( that camed with some side of mashed potatoes) that was like an entire course, quite big. It was good but not impressive or anything and 22 eur. A portion for children with some schnitzel and mashed potatos, tasty, but was about 13 eur and was not a menu or anything. And for us, a two person paella that was over 50 eur. It had a lot of sea food, but was a little too expensive m, salty and overcooked, the sea food a little dry, but good, acceptable. One 0.5l wine bottle of wine with a good price of 13 eur and a bottle of water. We are used to the free water in France. We were suprised at the end to find the bread was billed for almost 5 eur and the overall big price for everything, even though it is a nice place. In the french sea side we didn’t pay over 90 eur for 2 adults and a child, with deserts and coffees! Conclusion: it has definitely changed, I don’t find the old bad reviews useful anymore, but it is a tourist trap and very expensive for what it serves. If you afford not looking at your expenses and want a fancy place, it’s a good place to eat.

Estuve hace unos años y se comia muy bien . El sevicio era rapido . Pero hoy el servicio muy lento y eso que llevaba niños y pedi su comida lo primero de todo. Me ha decepcionado mucho . Encima carisimo. No pienso volver

We ordered the sea food platter - and let me say it was disappointing. The whole platter consisted of the smallest shells, from which some didn’t have the best taste (but we felt fine afterwards!) The expectations from the images and the whole ambiente did not meet and we were really disappointed because additionally our sangria was pure water with taste. Maybe we just didn’t pick the right things to eat, but after getting the (pretty expensive) bill we were still hungry and not satisfied at all.

We usually really like the food here. But this time it was not so good. The starters were fine. But the paella didn't have any flavor. Nor did the fish. The white fish was over cooked and had no taste at all. The texture of the rice was ok but again no flavor at all. One dat later our hands are still yellow from peeling the shrimp... I would normally recomend this place but this time I was really dissapointed. I guess I should't have chosen to eat the paella. Personnel was friendly as always. The wine Alex is very good wine.

Fuimos a Capitán para tomar un gin tonic cada uno, la última copa de la noche después de la cena. Buena atención de la camarera, pero nos cobran 24 € para dos gin tonics. Ni los disfrutamos; la tónica es repugnante – tiene un olor muy mal que mata la bebida. Horroroso.

Unfriendly and Unprofessional Service – Avoid This Place I had a very disappointing experience at Captain Ampurebrava. The staff, especially Barbara and her colleagues, were extremely unfriendly and unhelpful. I asked for a place to charge my phone, and despite having charged my device there before, they initially claimed they didn’t know of any available plugs. When I pointed out where I had charged previously, they suddenly admitted it existed but told me I couldn’t use it because of the rain—even though there were other tables where I could have charged my laptop. I was planning to have dinner there, but after such rude treatment, I only ended up ordering a Coca-Cola. The kitchen was supposed to open at 6 PM, but nobody was there, and the staff said the kitchen team would arrive later—another example of poor organization. When I asked for the bill, the server immediately said it was 3 euros without even bringing me a receipt, which felt unprofessional. The overall atmosphere was cold, unwelcoming, and unpleasant, with no smiles or effort to make customers feel comfortable. I would not recommend this place. If you’re looking for a welcoming environment with good service, there are plenty of better options around.

Every year I give this restaurant a chance and this year was valentines 2025. Service poor, atmosphere awful, no music no valentine theme, plates not cleared - food very average. Hard to get waiters attention. To top it all my GF has a citrus allergy so we made clear NO CITRUS , lemons and oranges with all dishes and drinks ….. Avoid !!!!

Very unfriendly service, communicating by pointing at your face, asking what you want to drink when you did not even get the menu yet. We were planning to lunch here maybe, but the waiter killed the vibe instantly. Invest in better personnel or give them better lessons in hospitality. I really hope it was just that one waiter, since the atmosphere is decent and passing food smelled good.

Ordinary restaurant with large menu. Very salty fish soup And we were surprised with receipt. They include BREAD for 6.4 euro.Nobody prevent us about it. Shame!
