Great hotel, very clean and well maintained. All hotel staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful, from reception to housekeeping. Rooms are modern, functional and have good lighting. Facilities included tea and coffee making. Breakfast was buffet style but easily catered for all tastes. Hotel is within easy walking distance of the main bus stop to Palma, the airport and other resorts along the coast. Also easy to walk to the beach at Son Caliu. Many guests were cyclists or from golfing parties.

The Hotel is extremely comfortable and clean. The staff are friendly, helpful and multi-lingual. The pool area and terrace are maintained well and are a nice place to sit, read and bathe. The Spa Oasis is a calm and tranquil space with really comfortable loungers. Palma is close by bus and the journey is easy to do. A short walk from the hotel takes you to a huge sandy beach which is popular with the locals. Plenty of entertainment around as well as a variety of Restaurants. Rincon de la Mer is a particularly nice tapas place.

Modern, clean, great location with stunning view, and highly professional and kind staff that puts a strong emphasis on client service. We very much enjoyed our stay in this high standard hotel and would strongly recommend it to anyone else who plans to spend some time near/in Palmanova. Great facilities, which include a private tennis court, a sea-view pool, a gym, and a spa. In case you plan to go to the spa, note that the massages are very light (despite the multiple explicit requests for stronger/deep tissue massage). The restaurants and the pool bar offer ongoing food services (both buffet and à la carte options). Moreover you can find yoga/pilates, beach bar, bicycle rentals within two minutes walking-distance.

During my chess tournament stay in Mallorca, I discovered the spa oasis at Hotel Son Caliu. The indoor pool offered a serene retreat, and the authentic German-style sauna provided deep relaxation after intense games. Every visit felt like a quiet ritual — soaking in the calm, sipping the spa's refreshing herb-infused waters, and letting the mind reset. The spa staff were warm and attentive, making each moment truly special. Perhaps it was here, between the sauna heat and the gentle waters, that I found the clarity to perform my best. I look forward to returning to this peaceful haven in the future.

Superb. Should definitely be 5 stars. Stunning views with private beach access. A sernene setting with a large garden area and outdoor dining with a variety of seating leads you to the pool, just a few more steps, and your toes are in the sand Great food catering for all tastes with multilingual excellent service, I recommend the cocktails 🍸 The rooms were immaculate, available with a mini private pool, furnished to a high standard with comfy beds and pillow options. The shower is from the future!! Chrometherapy apparently (who knew?), amazing. The entire team at Son Caliu are wonderful, absolutely faultless, an incredible place, I cannot wait to visit again ❤️

Stayed here with my partner for a week. Safe to say, we had a great time and would certainly come back. The hotel itself is clean and staff are very friendly. The Spa was lovely and relaxing. The breakfast and dinner buffet was surpsingly very good and offered a range of options that were varied. I also particularly liked the small beach which was quiet this time of year and the sea was great to swim in. The snorkelling was quite good and we tried other beaches to compare. There seemed to be live music each night too! Location is easy to get to from Palma and also has a supermarket nearby, also nearby options for hiking and trail running. Thank you for an amazing time 😀

If you’re planning a stay in Mallorca stop what you’re doing and book this property. One of the best values I’ve found in a hotel. Hard working friendly staff kept the property spotless and provided excellent service in restaurants, front desk and spa. Daily breakfast buffet was excellent and would recommend. The outdoor seating area is lovely for breakfast or sunset drinks. Prices around the property were beyond reasonable with cocktails under 10 euro and some spa services under $50. We had a superior room and it is one of the most creative room designs I’ve seen. The room design is definitely sexy but with thoughtful touches. Balconies are large and welcoming- even if we didn’t have a beach view. The bathroom isn’t the largest but perhaps the most innovative with see through shower, shower bench, separate toilet and double vanity. Spa area with gym is incredible and clean! Indoor pool and spa oasis is truly zen! Love the staff especially Carmen and Anna at breakfast. They made the stay truly special!

The hotel and the staff were truly exceptional. It’s always a risk booking a holiday/hotel so we were guided by the existing reviews which were nearly all outstanding. We were not disappointed, the staff couldn’t do enough to help especially in the dining area. Carman, Anna and Daniel to name but a few were always so friendly. The food was stunning at breakfast and in the evening when were themed nights. There was a crazy amount of choice. I would recommend paying extra and eating at the hotel. The outside pool area was lovely with a great beach bar. Access to the beach from the pool was literally a stones throw away. The spa was incredible clean, relaxed quiet and very chilled. The gardens neighboring the spa were serene and peaceful if you want to take time away from the pool. Our rooms were beautiful and well equipped with great and quiet air conditioning. Definitely the best and friendliest hotel we’ve ever stayed in for a family holiday.

It's a pleasant location. Staff is prompt on your needs. Food is good. Excepting Half board option, becomes boring after 3 days. A big minus is the missing parking. Otherwise, hotel is good. Worth to take sea view rooms.

Stayed there for a week during a conference. The room was really good, but the view was not really nice (backyard with trash and cars). And the balcony was very narrow. Breakfast was okay. The buffet during the lunch break was not really good. Sometimes the staff was super friendly and sometimes a bit grumpy. The hotel beach isn't really a beach. There is a gym, an indoor pool and a small spa.

If you’re looking for a relaxing beach spot to get a real Mallorca experience, I wouldn’t recommend staying here. The rooms and amenities were nice, but enjoying the beach and pool was difficult. There were very limited chairs on both the beach and the pool, and the more obnoxious people would claim chairs first thing in the morning, making it really hard to find a relaxing spot. Everyone is on top of each other and it is very crowded. Luckily my husband and I were able to find other smaller local beaches, but they are hard to get to (trails, climbing rocks). Son Caliu itself was definitely more quiet than Palmanova beach, but it is a lot of British tourists on vacation and didn’t feel local (comparing this to Port de Soller where we spent a day on the beach where it felt much more local/touristy). Not much staff interaction, however I was down at the gym filling my water bottle up with water and was told by a staff member I couldn’t which was odd.

Someone stole my bathrobe with my expensive earphones inside while I was literally 5 minutes in the sauna and unfortunately they did nothing to try and fix the issue. I really don't understand why since they register the IDs of anyone getting in the SPA area. That's absolutely embarrassing if you want to call yourself a classy and safe hotel. It ruined my experience which would have been otherwise pretty good.

My wife and I recently stayed at Hotel Son Caliu. Unfortunately, we were disappointed by several aspects of our visit. While there were a few positive points (like a spacious and clean suite), those were overshadowed by poor service and other issues we encountered. Check-In Experience: Upon arrival with four heavy bags, we were surprised that no one offered to help with our luggage. We waited a bit and eventually asked the front desk if someone could assist us, but the response was a curt, “There is no one at the moment; as you can see, we are busy.” This was shocking – we’ve never experienced such a lack of basic hospitality at a hotel check-in. In the end, we had to carry our bags to our suite ourselves. Room and Amenities: The suite itself was one of the few highlights of our stay – it was very spacious and impeccably clean, and we initially felt quite comfortable. However, we were surprised to find that some usual amenities were missing. For example, there was no complimentary bottled water or toothbrush kit provided (small touches we have come to expect even in standard rooms). Additionally, there was no trash can under the bathroom sink, which was inconvenient and quite unusual. These omissions made the room feel less welcoming than it should have, especially for a suite. Breakfast: We found the breakfast to be fairly average. The selection and quality of the food were acceptable but nothing special. It was enough to start our day, but it certainly didn’t stand out compared to other hotel breakfasts we’ve had. In short, the breakfast was okay – not bad, but not memorable either. Beach and Pool: The hotel’s beachfront was another letdown for us. The beach area was below average and not very inviting. We discovered there wasn’t really a proper place to swim in the sea directly from the hotel’s beach, which was disappointing given the seaside location. Essentially, we ended up using the pool for swimming since the ocean access wasn’t suitable. While the pool itself was fine, we had expected to enjoy a nice swim in the sea, so this aspect of the stay was a letdown. Housekeeping and Privacy: One of the most unsettling incidents happened one evening with housekeeping. We had a “Do Not Disturb” sign on our door because we were resting, yet a staff member entered our room around 8:00 PM and asked if we wanted the room cleaned. We were startled by this intrusion since the DND sign was clearly on display. It felt like an invasion of our privacy and was completely inappropriate, especially at that hour, and we were quite offended that our request for no disturbance was disregarded. This experience left us very upset. Check-Out: Our check-out experience turned out to be the final disappointment of our stay. By that point, we had five bags to manage. We informed the front desk (the same staff member from check-in) that we had been carrying all our luggage ourselves during the stay, hoping they might offer help this time. Instead, when we asked if someone could assist us with the bags down the stairs, we were simply told, “Actually, there is another elevator on the side you can use it.” In other words, the staff just directed us to an elevator instead of offering a helping hand. This meant that, once again, we were left to handle all our luggage alone, which was frustrating and not what we expect from a hotel of this caliber. Overall: In summary, while our suite at Hotel Son Caliu was lovely in terms of space and cleanliness, our overall stay was quite disappointing due to the service issues. Basic hospitality elements – like helping guests with heavy luggage or respecting a “Do Not Disturb” sign – were sorely lacking, and these problems overshadowed the positives for us. We sincerely hope the management will address these service shortcomings, because the hotel does have potential to offer a great experience. However, based on this stay, my wife and I would hesitate to return or recommend Hotel Son Caliu to others.
