Yesterday, August 4th, we ate here to celebrate our daughter's birthday and I can simply say 10 out of 10, the food was delicious, the service was excellent and the quality/price was very good. We had the special menu for 31 euros and the food was excellent. The panache was delicious, and both the baked cod and the cocohas were delicious. The menu also includes a very good txacoli and delicious desserts (pantxineta and walnut tart). The staff was lovely, and you can eat on the terrace, so it's advisable to have good weather. I imagine it's due to Covid.

The restaurant is located in an old stone house that has been completely renovated and now has a bar area and several dining rooms. The dining rooms are very pleasant, well-appointed, and spacious. It has a varied menu for all tastes, and there is also a à la carte menu. The menus usually combine vegetables, salads, and a stew or other dish. The main courses almost always include fish, meat, and something else original. In our case, most people had roasted vegetables, while I had scrambled eggs. For the main courses, we had a cube of salmon fillet and snouts. The dishes were extensive and well-cooked. Very good value for money.

Excellent restaurant located in a stately palace near the center of Azkoitia, with easy parking. I stopped in for a weekday set menu, with four or five options. In my case, I had cardoons with artichokes and peas, brothy and delicious, and also delicious grilled anchovies. For dessert, Idiazabal cheese with quince jelly. The service was very friendly and attentive. If I didn't give it the highest rating, it's because the price, €20, for a set menu like this seems excessive.

For the main course, hake, cod, kokotxas, squid, duck confit, and veal cheeks. The homemade desserts are superb, well-prepared. Price: €29 with Rioja Alavesa Crianza wine.

A normal menu that could have been €10 for double the price. The "terrace" they'd reserved for us was a shaded table under the arches at the entrance. We ended up eating inside, in a dining room that wasn't very welcoming, by the way. They're not very strict about food allergies, so we had to ask and insist repeatedly. We certainly won't be back.

Five of us went for a lunch menu, and the experience wasn't what we expected. While the service was correct and friendly, the food was subpar. It's not what you'd expect for a menu costing almost €22 per person. Perhaps it's a good place for events; I don't know, but for a set menu in the area, you can easily get better food for half the price. It's a shame.
