I dined here before and gave it 4 stars. I'm revising that to 5. Everything was perfect this go around. I feel confident that you will enjoy the restaurant and it's vibe. Previous review: I've eaten at Aba in Austin. This one is definitely a step above Austin. The food is tasty but I feel the choices are limited and portion size small. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I will definitely dine here again.
Aba Miami is located on the first floor near Saks Fifth Avenue and is an excellent addition to Bal Harbour Shoppes. The ambiance in the inner part of the restaurant is very cool, offering that inside/outside theme. Depending on where you enter, it can be a little confusing - from the inside, you will immediately be faced with a checkin desk and a cozy, well decorated seating area to the right. I've sat in that area while I waited for my wife to use the bathroom and the entire time people were coming in confused about what to do because there wasn't a host or greeter present. I directed them to the outside entrance where the greaters are. Once we figured this out the first time and located the hostes, everyone was very friendly, as were the servers. The food all came out faster than expected and was delicious. The quality of ingredients and preparation was excellent, as was the presentation. Even the bread that came with the hummus was probably the best I've had. We'll be back!
Amazing experience at Aba! Beautiful decor, attentive service, and delicious food (grilled octopus and lamb chops were standout dishes). Extensive wine list too! Highly recommend!"
First review of this spot but second time here at Aba today and honestly there will definitely be a third & fourth. The dishes are so flavorful and delicious. This time around we ordered: greek salad, truffle baked orzo - hands down amazing, grilled salmon skewers- bomb (come with rice and a small salad as well), garlic hummus - honestly not a fan, charred broccoli- amazing but the sauce was NOT great, and a chocolate cake for dessert- hit the spot. As an added bonus- the pita is fantastic as well and it kept coming to our table all dinner which really made my husband happy (lol because what’s a dinner without bread for a middle eastern man?). The drinks were great as well. I opted for a drink with gin and watermelon and really enjoyed the cool, refreshing taste. I included photos of the food and the aesthetically pleasing interior decor. Lets talk about the two dishes/ items I wasn’t crazy about. 1) the garlic hummus- didn’t find it tasty at all. For such a bougie spot, I found the taste pretty basic and flavorless. Tasted like something out of a grocery store. Not sure if all the hummus on the menu tastes similar but this one wasn’t a choice favorite. Might try the mushroom one next time to see what it tastes like. 2) The sauce that comes with the charred broccoli- I know, I know. Its not a separate item on the menu buttt I didn’t find that it complemented the deliciousness of the broccoli. BUT - despite these two small things, everything else we ordered was just fantastic which is why I’d give this spot an easy 5 stars. The orzo was so delicious and creamy. The truffle on it just made my taste buds jump for joy. The salmon skewers and the rice/ delicously marinated salad were cooked to perfection. The greek salad was an amazing starter and the feta that it came with was so creamy. Charred broccoli was fantastic as well and took broccoli to a different level. Chocolate cake- rich and soft as well. Also - the pita ?! AMAZING. It tastes like a pretzel made into a pita. Did I mention it kept coming to our table all night? So overall, definitely recommend this spot. Will definitely be back soon!
Great lunch experience! We had the garlic hummus, Brussel sprouts and the lamb kebab! All great and fresh. Service was awesome. Thank you to our waiter Lester.
My hubby and I visited Aba for valentine’s day dinner and we were not disappointed! The food is spectacular and delicious, we also ordered (not pictured) a lamb ragu hummus and whipped feta dip. All of it was 10/10 and would definitely go back to try more dishes! They had a specialty valentine’s day drink with gin that was delicious as well. Great service, great ambiance and definitely amazing food.
Had the opportunity to visit Aba Miami during Miami Spice, and it was amazing. The food was simply delicious, the service top notch and atmosphere & restaurant beautiful. Can't wait to be back...
My husband and I had an incredible date at Aba Miami in Bal Harbour Shops! From start to finish, the experience was perfect. We enjoyed the short rib shakshuka and shawarma spiced skirt steak and eggs. Both were absolutely delicious!!! The bread was fresh and flavorful, complementing the meal perfectly. The short rib shakshuka is quite spicy but very good. If you can’t handle spicy don’t even dare! The crispy potatoes were perfect! We sipped on a Diet Coke and the pear gin and tonic, which was refreshing and expertly crafted. A very special shout out to Stephanie, the bartender who truly made our day special. Not only did she take our order and mix up an amazing cocktail, but she also took the time to chat with us and even took some great photos of us. Her service was top-notch, and she added a personal touch that made our day quite memorable. On our way out I used the ladies room and I was happy to see that this restaurant is so thoughtful that they provide tampons and mint at no additional fee! It’s the little things that I really love!!! Aba Miami is a gem for Mediterranean cuisine with a great atmosphere, and we’ll definitely be back! Highly recommend!
Ambiance -5 Price - 4+ Quality 5 Price-to-quality ratio - 4.5 Service - 5 Located on the lower level of Bal Harbour Shops, right next to Sacks, Mediterranean Aba is one of the best Mediterranean spots in town. Sure, some dishes may be a bit pricier compared to other fine dining Mediterranean places in Miami, but trust me—the quality is 5 stars and the service is top-notch. This restaurant truly elevates the dining experience. For cocktail lovers like me, Aba has something special. I tried their “Aloe, It’s Me,” a cocktail with two different mezcals, aloe, green juice, jalapeño, and pineapple juice. It was refreshing, smoky, and packed with flavor, and at $19, it was a steal. The hummus, especially the one served with short ribs, is a festival of taste—its warmth and richness come from the short ribs’ juices, making it the second best hummus I’ve had after Byblos in South Beach. The house pita bread is the perfect accompaniment. The ahi tuna carpaccio was to die for, bursting with fresh mint, kiwi’s sweetness and tartness, and a spicy kick from jalapeño. The braised short ribs with sweet potato mash delivered juicy, tender meat perfectly balanced by the sweetness of the mash, while the lamb and beef kefta kabobs were seasoned and cooked to perfection. Sadly, I just heard on Instagram that Aba may close permanently after only two years since its November 2022 opening. I really hope they turn things around because this place is a real gem. Don’t miss your chance to experience this unforgettable dining destination. An absolute must try!
Beautiful restaurant with excellent food! Our server was very friendly but service was a bit slow. All the dishes we tried were absolutely delicious! Spicy hummus was one of the best I’ve had, leafy greens salad was delicious and the broccoli was also perfect. The deserts were my favorite. The frozen Greek yogurt was tart and refreshing and the bougatsa was phenomenal! Definitely order if you come with a group of 4 or more.
Amazing restaurant. I have been there so many times . The food is amazing . However I was very disappointed about the waiters for not coming to us to ask to order drinks after we sat down for awhile. It’s an isolated event and hasn’t happened in the past . Best mediterranean place I know in Miami .
My friend and I had a wonderful dining experience on Tuesday at lunch. The food and service provided by Jay was truly incredible. It’s very rare to have a menu packed with so much flavor and quality. Everything was presented simple but beautiful, our table was consistently bussed by the attentive wait staff and drinks were always filled. The patio was so comfortable and breezy - it didn’t feel like a typical hot Miami afternoon. We will definitely be back soon to try the rest of the menu!!
Took my client and best friend to dinner . We did enjoy it very much. The service, food and atmosphere was incredible. Definitely will go back to try the rest of the food as there is a huge menu to choose from. We asked the server to surprise us on the drinks - and he even made them to match our outfit (one green and one pink ) my friend had a green dress and I had pink :) . Francois the manager was great too. Top service - approaching the tables and making sure customers enjoy the place
The food was absolutely delicious, and so was the overall experience. I highly recommend the spreads. Everything tastes so hearty & healthy. The only feedback I have is that the waitress immediately got upset when I tipped 20%. I thought it was just the right amount but I guess she was really unhappy because she was suddenly extremely rude and moody. Either way, amazing place & I highly recommend :) pictured: chocolate chocolate cake
Loved it. Great service and delicious food. The pita with zaatar was special. The fried potatoes and the orzo were yummy. The falafel was a bit too dry. i think with some tahini, it can improve, but it had good tasta. Wonderful coffee, too, and beautiful restaurant design.
My experience here was great. Located on the first level of a lux shopping mall, the decor is lush. Bar seating is first come, first serve. The bartender on duty (Stephanie, I believe) was excellent. She was quite busy, yet engaging, and did a very good job. The apps I got were nice. I look forward to my next visit.
Oh my goodness! You have to hear about Aba at Bal Harbour Shops! This place is an absolute stunner, both inside and out. And the food, oh my gosh, the food is Mediterranean California style and it's absolutely delicious. I couldn't believe how helpful and friendly our waitress was. She gave us the most amazing recommendations. We were a group of five, so we decided to mix things up and try a bit of everything. And boy, were we glad we did! We ordered a bunch of dishes including hummus, spicy lamb ragu, smoky garlic, classic, charred eggplant, crispy potatoes, green falafel, beef tartare, truffled baked orzo, and tamarind-braised short rib. It was all so incredibly tasty. And as if that wasn't enough, we had to try their dessert - the Bougatsa was an absolute must-try and it did not disappoint. If you're looking for a new spot to try, this place should be at the top of your list. You won't be disappointed!

Not impressed. The food was just ok (I would never suggest anyone to pair chicken with stracciatella though), the dessert (called sticky date or smth) was literally burnt. The most delicious thing was the mocktail. Interior is nice, gives those mediterranean vibes. Feels like the fewer customers there are, the slower is the service, and this regards to literally any place in Miami :)
Seasonal hummus (not pictured) was said to taste like thanksgiving and they 100% delivered on that statement; it was delicious and I’m sad its not a regular feature. Hamachi was good; not what I expected nor would I order again. Lamb & beef kefta was very well seasoned. Scallops were cooked to perfection. Sticky date cake was decadently addictive.

Really nice ambiance and good service. Food was average. We ordered a garlic hummus, the branzino and chicken kebabs with broccoli. I wasn’t super impressed with the food it was not bad at all but not great. The desert was very good we had a date chocolate cake!
The restaurant was super cute and my food was decent, but the service was poor. We waited a good 15 minutes for a server to come up to us, ordered right away, and they never brought my drink. The busser brought a bottle of water (when I was in the bathroom,) which ended up being $10 on the check?? Once we finally got our food, no one checked back. The steak was well and it was supposed to be med-rare, but since our server never came back we weren’t able to get a new one. But the octopus was good. And a table that came 20 minutes AFTER us left 20 minutes before us simply because our server wasn’t paying attention.. shame.
