Uno de los bares más tradicionales y auténticos en el corazón de la Barceloneta. Buen servicio y tapas de las de toda la vida en platillos que pueden ser para compartir. Aunque es un sitio bastante ruidoso y cuesta encontrar sitio sin esperar (siempre está lleno y es difícil entender a los camareros a la hora de pedir las cosas), es de agradecer que aún queden sitios que sobreviven a la carta y los precios para turistas.

Un lugar súper concurrido pero parada obligatoria! Nosotros fuimos en domingo y al momento de llegar tienes que apuntarte si ves mucha gente para poder esperar tu turno, pero la espera no es muy larga, tardamos aprox. 30 minutos que me pareció razonable. Adentro el ambiente es agradable y la decoración linda y tradicional y te reciben con unas aceitunas de cortesía que estaban buenísimas. De las cosas que pedimos nuestra favorita fue la famosa bomba, imperdible! También nos ofrecieron un limoncello de la casa que cerró con 100 nuestra experiencia ahí! Lo recomiendo ⭐️⭐️⭐️

¡Realmente nos encantó este lugar! Había mucha gente, pero el servicio fue estupendo. El camarero fue muy amable y simpático, siempre atento. Las tapas, todo un éxito. Nos ha gustado mucho.

Bar para tapear calidad-precio todo muy sabroso, la carrillera y el canelón (tapas) los recomiendo. Además, un punto a favor, hay muy buena atención por parte de todos, muy atentos, agradables y con muy buen humor! Gracias a Alex por su atención en especial.

Had a delicious NYE feast here. We didn't have a reservation, but they accommodated us at the bar. It was perfect. I'm happy they have some local dishes to sample as tapas or entrys.

Had a great evening at this restaurant. On a moderately busy night, the service was attentive, cordial and efficient. The food choices were quite varied and the 5 items we selected were very flavorful and plenty for the two of us.

We ate here twice during our short stay in a nearby hotel. The portions are good for sharing. The beef stew, sardines and cannelloni were excellent but the grilled langoustines are to be avoided! We had rosé wine which was very good and well-priced. The lighting is bright. It was very full on Saturday, so worth booking. 🙂

Firts time trying Squids, and I wasn't disappointed ! It was so good ! I would have tried the croquettes, but I was already full (small appetite unfortunately). The only negative point is that if you're alone they sat you at the counter bar next to where they prepare some of the drinks, which is not a real problem since you're separated by a glass and some decoration. But you're still very exposed to the rest of the room, therefore it's quite a challenge if you're an introvert.

The service was good and food was served really fast. We tried 8 different tapas and they were very tasty, except the grilled sardines. The eggplant with goose cheese and honey tasted actually like sweet potatoes.😆 very yummy. The toilets are also very clean.

Good place to go with a large group, as we did. Spacious, clean and modern, semi-corporate almost, but an impressive selection of traditional tapas and good beer and wine choices. The good: Attentive service in a bright, clean upscale setting. Good seafood bites. Excellent potatoes bravas. Steak with shishito peppers, yes. The bad: Not much to complain about. Chicken tenders seemed out of place after all of the traditional tapas. Overall: Less old-world charm than a lot of places, but if you're looking for reliably good food for a group of any size, El Mercat is a good choice.

El local es bonito y el personal muy agradable. La comida es buena y el pescado de calidad, especialmente el pulpo: tierno, se deshace en la boca. Lo recomiendo. Lo único negativo es el nivel de ruido; hay muchas mesas y es fácil coincidir con grupos grandes, lo que puede dificultar mantener una conversación.

Really enjoyed our meal here. We did tapas for a table. We had pan de tomate, patatas bravas, an excellent mixed salad, a the roast suckling pig. Everything was very good except the roast suckling pig was excellent. When we’ve had roast suckling pig in the past it was an entree which is a lot for one person. It was perfect for four. The service was good and recommended a good bottle of wine which was one of the less expensive choices on the menu.

Sunday night, no reservations needed, yet the restaurant was 80% full, which we took as a good sign. Quick and attentive service - we wanted to leave a proper tip but we had run out of cash. We would stop by again if we're back in the area. As for the food: Mussels - savory and spicy broth, big portion, good value Eggplant with goat cheese and honey - crispy, good blend of flavors, big portion Meatballs with cuttlefish - 4 big meatballs with pieces of cuttlefish on the side, hearty sauce, subtle fish flavor Beef stew - super tender meat, great presentation and textures; however, I was looking for more flavor Chocolate cake with ice cream - very good! thick layer of dark chocolate fudge on a very thin layer of sponge cake with sprinkled crunchy crumbs on top Catalan creme brulee - quite good! the 2 biscuits it comes with were very hard and crispy; would definitely order it again.

Nice Tapas bar in the center. Bringing the a good high standard in terms of atmosphere and quality, with normal prices. (30-40€/person if you are drinking something as well) Everything was good but there was nothing in my opinion what stood out, making this restaurant unique in my opinion. Perfect place if you want to have a decent meal, but i wouldn't choose it for special occasions.

Very good location. Food is very well made, I recommend bravas. Dishes are very well presented and they are delicious. It is normally quite busy, and they do not close the kitchen in the afternoon, so you can go anytime. Inside the atmosphere is pleasant and quite spacious. If you prefer outside it’s also pretty nice, although there are many cars passing by. Staff is nice and helpful. The quality-price ratio is very balanced, so if you want to eat good and you don’t want to spend much, it is the perfect place.

Went here two times while I was for a couple of days in Barcelona. First time was a nice experience, friendly staff and the food was one of the best which I had in a while. Second time wasn't the same.. the food came almost cold and it the feeling was like it wasn't cooked on that day. Also, not all of the ordered dishes we're served..

Great place for tapas! The staff is nice and most speak English really well. The food was good, but be warned—there’s a lot of fat on many of the dishes (that’s the only reason for four stars.) The crystal bread with olive oil and tomato was fantastic, as were the squid and asparagus dishes. There’s an outside spot for dining and a large, open space area with air conditioning inside. It’s worth a visit, given the caveat noted above.

This is a good location, with plenty of outdoor seating on a lively square near the beach in Barcelona. There is also plenty of indoor space. We enjoyed an estrella beer and diet coke outside…

The beer was cold…that was the only good thing. The food was truly terrible. We ordered tapas and nothing was good. We left nearly all of our food.

RACIST AS HELL😭😭😭 I ordered a squid sandwich and the waitress showed me 2 pictures and asked me which one do I want. I chose one of them and she was like “But you ordered sandwiches!!! This is not sandwich!! Sandwich has two breads…” THATS EXACTLY WHAT I ORDERED. I don’t even know why she asked with a picture that is not sandwich and tried to persuade me what sandwich is😭Thank for the free English lesson. For your information, just because I look Asian it doesn’t mean I don’t know what “sandwich” is.
