Excelente la tortilla y el servicio de Papi! Un simpático y excelente lugar. Recomiendo 10/10. No es caro y viene bárbaro para tapas. Durante los partidos de fútbol los pasan y se arma buen ambiente. Las bravas y los chorizitos están alucinantes.

1a vez, fui con un colega y genial el local, ambiente muy cool, los empleados y las tapas en especial la tortilla de patatas ( con cebolla obviamente), cassolana hecha por El Papi. Muchas gracias a todos tb a Federica y Yoel por su atención. Repetiremos y muy aconsejable.

Me encanta este bar. Cafe solo y medio de jamon serrano. Absolutamente todo riquisimo: el cafe sin pozo, el pan crujiente y con tomate, el jamon que se deshace y solo por 3.60€! Ademas el señor es muy agradable, y el local amplio y bonito. Esque no se puede pedir mas. Volvere siempre!

La tortilla estuvo DELICIOSA, tuvimos la fortuna de ser atentados por quien las prepara, una persona muy amable y cálida. El lugar y el servicio fueron buenos pero definitivamente la comida se lleva el premio, todo estuvo buenísimo.

Restaurante que hemos ido a tomar algo antes de ir al teatro. Hacen muchas cosas de picoteo y también bocadillos con pan de briox. Os recomiendo las berenjenas con miel de caña, espectaculares. El local conserva su ambiente de antaño y eso es un gran plus.

Amazing experience at La Principal. The food was incredible, the patatas bravas were honestly out of this world, the sauce was insane. We also had tortilla, pan con tomate, and fried chicken, and everything was top quality. Big shoutout to Papi, Maria, and Natti, all three were super kind, attentive, and genuinely service oriented. Great energy and made us feel very welcome. Highly recommend if you’re in Barcelona. Absolutely worth it.

came here for breakfast. we ordered the tortillas patatas del papi & the cafe+croissant. the tortilla came with tomato bread & the coffee was good. in total we spent €10.90 for two people. super affordable compared to other places we’ve been to in barcelona. the food & service was exceptional! papi was vv friendly & helpful even with the language barrier!! must try the tortilla here. ill definitely come back if im ever in barcelona again

I recently had lunch at Bar La Principal here in Barcelona with my boyfriend and with the family ❤️🤗, and I was really impressed! The food was delicious, fresh, and full of flavor especially the salmon with bread and avocado. The service was also excellent especially from Pappi, who was very friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, perfect for relaxing and enjoying a good meal. I definitely recommend this bar and will happily return again with the fam❤️😘😍🤗🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒

I had my breakfast at La Principal and it was great! I ordered the tortilla de patatas and a coffee latte, both were very good. I was looking for a place to try Spanish omelette and I found Bar La Principal, which is conveniently located near my hotel. All the locals were there having breakfast, so I knew it would be good. I had the original Papi Spanish Omelette and it was so flavorful. I did not know omelettes could taste this delicious. I even got to meet Papi who makes his signature omelette. The staff were very friendly and warm, including Papi. I will definitely come back here the next time I am in Barcelona ❤️

Absolutely fantastic spot for breakfast! Bar La Principal feels authentic and local, not the usual touristy place, which for me, made it better. The food is incredible!! Very unassuming place, but definitely my favourite in Barcelona!! Best tortilla I ever had, such creamy texture and perfectly seasoned, crispy eggplant, piping hot patatas bravas with very nice sauce, creamy hummus with nice pickled veggies. Everything was so fresh and portions were quite big, they packed the leftover food to go!

A great tapas bar in the heart of Barcelona. The location was perfect for me. It was on the street behind my hotel. The place is small and cozy. The staff were professional. The food was delicious and the service was quick and excellent. The price was great for a two person lunch. I highly recommend it. Especially the fried mushrooms.

One of my favorite breakfast spots in Barcelona. Papi, the owner and his passion for this place creates a tapestry of history, love, and authentic Catalan experience. Come here in the early morning to see construction workers and bus drivers pop in for a quick morning bocadillo fix, grandma with her doggy sipping on orange juice reading that mornings newspaper. At noon, there will be a couple in their 60s who only came in for a few glasses of cava. And all kinds of seniors and occasional tourists circling in and out for a cortado, a croissant, or a take away. Everything here feels historical, meaningful, and soo authentic. And yes Papi’s omlete is worth it, it’s the best omlete in the city. The croquettes are also outstanding and definitely have some fresh squeezed orange juice. They have WiFi, but chill, bring a book or just breathe and be present.

Fuimos hoy a La Principal para cenar algo informal. Pedimos cerveza (con poca variedad) y vino tinto, bastante sencillo. Para comer, las bravas estaban deliciosas y los nachos también muy ricos, sin duda lo mejor de la noche. El precio fue correcto: 30 € por dos tapas y cuatro bebidas para dos personas. Como puntos a mejorar, el trato fue poco atento: nos dejaron la mesa sin servilletas y los lavabos estaban bastante desatendidos, sin papel higiénico. En general, buena opción para picar algo rápido, aunque deberían cuidar más el servicio y los detalles.

Bar clásico en Barcelona de los que quedan pocos. Local con planta baja y altillo de madera con terraza exterior. Guarda todo el encanto que siempre ha tenido. Ahora con una carta más moderna, sigue siendo un lugar atractivo.

La comida estaba deliciosa. La tortilla es un 10!!! Y las croquetas también. Pero una pena que el servicio era demasiado lento. He esperado más de 30 minutos hasta que alguien se me acercó a preguntar lo que quería y para llevar los platos de las personas que estaban antes

En la mesa de atrás había un señor poniéndose desodorante y el 80% de la clientela es una mezcla de Tinder y guiris, no es una crítica pero es curioso cuanto menos... Tema comida: el pincho de tortilla se defiende bien, las croquetas rasas y diminutas para el precio que tienen (las fotos hablan) y la flor de calabacín rellena aceptable. Pedimos un vino y una cerveza que sirvieron con bastante lentitud cuando todo el mundo estaba más que servido. Por cierto, la copa un poco cara por la cantidad de vino que ponen (supongo que es cuestión de suerte)..... El servicio es agridulce. Recomendable? Sí, pero no como bar de referencia

Bar La Principal has a great buzz, but overall felt a bit overrated. It was extremely busy with long queues, and once seated it was quite difficult to get the staff’s attention. The food was fine , decent flavours, but nothing particularly memorable given the hype. Worth a visit for the atmosphere, but expectations should be kept in check.

Es un bar de esos que si vienes fantástico y si no también les da absolutamente igual porque siempre está a tope tampoco tienen ninguna etapa especial a destacar un plato especial …. Desde que se lo quedó el Moritz perdió personalidad. Pero bueno diríamos que es correcto, el precio es correcto y la comida está buena. Pedí una hamburguesa y les dije que si en vez de patatas fritas me podían poner un poco de ensalada. Y el cocinero dijo que no. Eso que hace muchos años que voy y cada semana hago un par de días el café. Pero les da absolutamente igual, es lo que hay si te gusta bien y si no te vas al bar delante. Sin más pena ni gloria

Been here a few times and it's definitely one of the worse spots in town. Very average food and coffee and the service is very poor, especially the girl in the pony tail. Probably only good for drinking a beer and watching the world go by.
