Un sitio sorprendente y creado con mucho gusto. El menú es original, sano y delicioso, todo elaborado con productos de temporada, de cercanía y ecológicos. Se agradece la cantidad de opciones sin gluten del menú! Excelente relación calidad precio y el servicio es genial. Toda una referencia gastronómica en el centro de Barcelona!

Oh my god ! Strolling by the city, out of the blue we stopped at Bar Puntal in a random Sunday evening, and it was the best decision ever. The drinks are marvellous, the food (highlight to the pumpkin croquetas) are from heaven. Very much recommended for eating and drinking !

The food is just amazing!!! We tried the half of the menu and all of us got really impressed. The independents are very fresh and the dishes are very tasteful. The atmosphere is so nice. It’s in a small square with people passing by, but not make it chaotic. Last but not least the staff is very helpful and kind. They helped us decide what to take and we loved them.

Well.... In a town where it sometimes feels like your reading the same menu night after night this is a stellar, stand out menu and experience. Menu items that appear to replicate the same experience, when ordered, are miles apart from expectations. For years I have extolled the experience and reward that is "Slow Food". This restaurant exemplifies all the reasons we use this as the main criteria when looking for places to eat. I cannot encourage you to visit this strongly enough, nor can I hope to explain what makes it exceptional... It simply is. Go, engage the staff and enjoy the journey!

The location is in the heart of Barcelona, and if you find yourself lost in the Ciutat Vella neighborhood, this is a great place to stop for tapas. The croquetas are amazing, and the octopus, calamari, and eggplant are all delicious and well-prepared. If you’re organizing a group event, such as a birthday or any other gathering, they have a large table and plenty of space. The staff is kind and welcoming.

Absolutely next level food, the octopus, sea bass and squid were all phenomenal. I was absolutely blown away. The salads were also perfect. Beautiful orange wine too… and incredible service, we were so well looked after. Can’t recommend it enough, it’s a real gem. The flavours and textures of the food are so well put together, just all up a magical place. Can’t wait to go back.

Stumbled upon this place for lunch and WE GOT SO LUCKY!! We absolutely loved all of our food, had a delicious spritz and had fantastic customer service! This was our last stop before heading to the airport otherwise I would have ate there multiple times! We have an amazing experience here! My husband is a picky eater, but he really enjoyed it! The food was all delicious, the waiter was helpful and friendly, and the atmosphere was cute and pleasant. We chose to eat inside with the full meal service. We really enjoyed the duck paella, and the tomato bread! The sangria was very good and so is the orange wine! But I'd say everything here is probably delicious!! Note, if you choose the inside section, they recommend getting approximately 2 food items to share for each person. We ordered 4 things for both of us, and an extra order of the delicious tomato bread!

Excellent tapas bar with some originals and some new exotic tapas. If there is no table ready they offer you to wait with a drink until there is space. Food was excellent. Waiter was nice but it took him a little longer to bring us the menus. However, after ordering the food was there 5 minutes later - so very very fast food service. If you are vegetarian better ask which dishes are vegetarian. Croquettas were with meat.

We found this restaurant by chance, while wandering in the city center. We liked a lot how it looked like from outside and we checked the reviews, which convinced us we have to give it a try and oh my, it was a great decision! The food was spectacular! The menu consists of tapas and frankly speaking, it was the best tapas we had in Barcelona. Besides the food, we loved how the restaurant was decorated and the service was great. Try it, you will not be disappointed;)

We had a wonderful time at Puntal and would love to return for any occasion! I recommend reserving a table, as the place can fill up quickly. However, don’t worry if you can’t make a reservation, there is plenty of seating indoors, outdoors, and throughout! The decor and ambience is wonderful; perfect blend of rustic and modern. The food, though a bit pricier than expected, was delicious and served as they were done! Very fun menu with clever and unique foods. The sauces were perfect; I couldn’t tell exactly what was in them, but every sauce was the star of the dish! Service was quite fun at the opening hours, since the group of friends who own the restaurant are also serving and setting up! They are very kind and explain the dishes well. I loved their carrot juice, beetroot risotto, and squid. I had such a wonderful time with my friends, I will be recommending this restaurant and its perfect location (in close proximity to delicious Joncakes and cafes) to all my friends. Their bathroom is also very clean, much appreciated!

Best coffee in Barcelona. Came here on a whim and had a Flat White, Cappuccino and a Latte. The coffee was so smooth and went down so easily. Honestly amazing

La Puntual: Un festín de mediodía en el corazón del Born (con un pequeño desliz) La Puntual es un verdadero tesoro escondido en el bullicioso Born, un lugar donde la tradición y la excelencia culinaria se fusionan para crear una experiencia inolvidable. Desde el momento en que nos sentamos en su acogedora terraza, disfrutando del cálido sol del mediodía barcelonés, supimos que estábamos a punto de vivir un almuerzo especial. El ambiente del local, amplio y acogedor, invita a relajarse y disfrutar de la compañía, mientras que el servicio atento y profesional nos hizo sentir como en casa. Pero fue la comida, sin duda, la gran protagonista de la jornada. Cada plato que llegó a nuestra mesa fue una auténtica obra de arte culinaria, elaborada con ingredientes de primera calidad y cocinada con maestría. Las alcachofas con panceta y salsa romesco fueron un preludio divino, seguidas de unos calçots y unas croquetas del día que nos dejaron sin palabras por su sabor y textura crujiente. El pulpo a la brasa con parmentier, simplemente sublime, se deshacía en la boca, mientras que los platos del día, corvina y arroz seco con pulpo, atún y panceta, nos sorprendieron gratamente por su originalidad y sabor excepcional. Cabe mencionar que, debido a un pequeño malentendido, los platos principales no llegaron todos juntos, lo que nos obligó a comer en tiempos distintos. Sin embargo, este pequeño inconveniente no empañó la calidad excepcional de la comida. La Puntual es, en definitiva, un lugar donde la pasión por la buena comida se refleja en cada detalle, desde la selección de los ingredientes hasta la presentación de los platos. Un almuerzo que nos encantó y que, sin duda, repetiremos muy pronto. ¡Totalmente recomendable!

Estaba todo muy rico y la verdad es que disfrutamos mucho del Domingo. No conocíamos este lugar y fue una agradable sorpresa. Con una carta cortita pero con producto de calidad nos pusimos a disfrutar. Éramos 3 personas y pedimos un plato por cada uno para compartir y nos quedamos con hambre, así que pedimos 2 postres. Los niscalos estaban muy ricos, pero la ración era excesivamente pequeña para el precio que tenía. El arroz muy bueno y el venado estaba delicioso, parecía mantequilla pero de nuevo una ración minúscula. La tabla de quesos estaba muy rica y el postre con calabaza era una delicia. Todo esto lo regamos con 2 botellas de tinto. El sitio está muy bien, bien ubicado y la comida estaba deliciosa, pero como ya he comentado las cantidades son muy pequeñas a precios muy elevados.

Hemos comido en las mesas exteriores un menu. El de mediodía es a un precio de 16'50, donde puedes escoger entre dos platos de cuatro de los que hay en la carta, más un postre. El precio me parece algo alto,aunque la calidad de la comida era muy buena y el emplazamiento del restaurante es muy bonito ,en medio de una plaza muy concurrida en el Born. Los trabajadores son muy simpáticos y amables. No he ido de noche pero me da la sensación de que el local debe de ser muy bonito .

No merece la pena, no entiendo la cantidad de buenas reseñas que tiene este sitio. El ambiente es bueno, pero la comida no era nada especial, la bomba y el calabacin fueron nuestros favoritos pero la berenjena no sabía bien. Lo peor de todo fue cuando el camarero nos pidió devolver las cartas, le comentamos que queríamos revisar para pedir algo mas y nos dijo que con cuidado que no se mancharan porque eran muy caras.... en fin una experiencia para no repetir. Y caro para lo que es.

It looks like a tapas bar that put on its nicer shirt, still casual, still Catalan at heart, but polished enough that you feel like you stumbled into the slightly upgraded version of what you expected. It was my pre-flight wildcard, one of those concierge suggestions you half-dismiss until you’re seated and realizing, okay, maybe this will pan out. The patatas bravas were the first real signal. Crisp corners, tender centers, and a tasty housemade sauce. Then came the mackerel crudo, the outlier of the night. The texture hovered between rubbery and reluctant, the flavors murky, the aroma… further than that. One bite was plenty. The vegan croquette was a rebound, arrived with a golden shell and that satisfying temperature contrast when you break it open. The meat-stuffed potato landed similarly, piping hot and savory. Even the grilled zucchini with labneh felt like a thoughtful pause, smoky edges, tender slices, and tangy labneh that tasted brighter than expected. Bar Puntal won’t rewrite your definition of tapas, but it doesn’t need to. It’s the kind of place that delivers when you want an easy, unfussy meal before moving on, whether that’s catching a flight or just exploring the city.

Had high hopes after seeing the good reviews, but my experience fell flat. The espresso martinis were a total miss - watery and bitter, like someone mixed leftover coffee with cheap vodka. Food was just average, not bad but nothing special either. If you're looking for top-notch Spanish cuisine, keep looking - this place is more about drinking outside and soaking up the street atmosphere than serious eating. Service was slow too, which didn't help. Overall not terrible, but definitely not worth the hype. Came expecting great food and drinks, left feeling like I should have gone elsewhere. Maybe okay for casual drinks if you don't mind waiting, but don't expect much from the kitchen or bar.

Tenía ganas de probarlo, pero fue decepcionante. Venden cocina mediterránea, de proximidad, pero los platos eran insulsos, sin intención ni mimo en la preparación. Muy sencillo, demasiado. Para mí es un claro ejemplo de tourist trap: está bien si quieres sentarte en la terraza, tomarte un vino o una cerveza, picar algo, pero nada más. El servicio fue lento y, desde que nos sirvieron hasta que pedimos la cuenta, nadie volvió a preguntarnos nada. Nada horrible, pero absolutamente un sitio al que no volver. Carísimo para lo que sirven y para lo simplón que es todo.
