Un sitio precioso y muy agradable. La decoración es espectacular, con un ambiente cálido y acogedor. Probé los Tacos de Calamar (2u) y el plato de Pulpo con boniato y salsa negra, y estaban buenísimos, con mucho sabor y muy bien presentados. El servicio fue amable y atento. Quiero destacar especialmente a Juan Carlos, el responsable, por su trato: muy amable, profesional y atento. Se nota que dirige el equipo con mucha experiencia. Además, su equipo de camareros también es excelente: rápidos, educados y muy profesionales. Sinceramente, creo que deben estar orgullosos de tener un jefe tan bueno como él. Sin duda volveré, de hecho esta misma noche regresaré. ¡Muy recomendable!
Espectacular. Fuimos recomendados por amigos y menudo acierto. El personal super amable. Mención especial al camarero, un chico joven al que pedimos recomendación y fue un auténtico profesional, conocía el producto a la perfección y nos aconsejó muy bien. La comida estaba buenísima. La próxima vez que visitemos Barcelona, volveremos seguro.

Era la primera vez que íbamos a Maru Azul, un restaurante mexicano que nos dejó muy buena impresión. Probamos varios platos para compartir y todo estaba bien elaborado, con sabores claros y producto de calidad. Se nota cuidado tanto en la cocina como en la presentación. Los tacos y antojitos estaban equilibrados y nada pesados, y los acompañamientos funcionaban bien. Los postres también nos gustaron, correctos y bien ejecutados. Servicio cercano y atento, con buen ritmo durante toda la comida. En general, un sitio muy agradable al que merece la pena volver si te apetece comida mexicana bien hecha.
Auténtico sabor mexicano en el corazón de Barcelona Después de vivir ocho años en México, puedo decir sin dudar que Maro Azul es uno de los restaurantes más auténticos y emocionantes que he probado fuera del país. Inspirado en un famoso restaurante mexicano especializado en mariscos, Contramar, este lugar logra capturar esa esencia marina con un toque contemporáneo y la ventaja de ofrecer versiones veganas y vegetarianas de prácticamente todos sus platos. Probé una tostada vegana como entrada: crujiente, fresca, con ese equilibrio entre acidez, picante y textura que solo una buena cocina mexicana sabe lograr. Luego, un taco preparado con la misma salsa que usan para el pescado o los camarones, pero con tofu, absolutamente delicioso, lleno de matices y muy bien logrado. Y el postre… qué decir del postre: una piña asada infusionada en tequila, servida con una salsa cremosa de coco, probablemente uno de los postres más originales y ricos que he probado en años. No es alcohólico, pero tiene ese aroma profundo y elegante que deja una sonrisa. La margarita con mezcal infusionado en chile fue otro acierto: equilibrada, con carácter, sin exagerar el picor. La selección de vinos acompaña perfectamente y el personal mexicano hace que te sientas como en casa desde el primer minuto. El diseño del local es precioso, moderno pero cálido, con detalles que te transportan a la costa mexicana. Además, su ubicación —a solo un par de cuadras de la Sagrada Familia— lo convierte en el plan perfecto para almorzar o cenar después de un paseo por la zona. En resumen, Maro Azul es una joya: auténtico, amable, con una propuesta gastronómica cuidada hasta el último detalle. Nada para mejorar. Un verdadero 5 estrellas.
Nos ha encantado todo, el sitio que además estaba decorado del día de muertos, hemos estado muy a gusto, el comedor es muy acogedor y nos han atendido fenomenal, nos han aconsejado muy bien y han sido muy amables. Hemos tomado rollitos de txangurro que estaban espectaculares, tacos de cochinita, de calamares y de pescado, tostadas de atún buenísimas y repetimos los rollitos. Volveremos sin duda para probar más platos.
He ido con una amiga a comer este mediodía y estaba todo buenísimo, pedimos aguachile, tostadas de atún y camarones, txangurro, tacos de atún y de corvina en tempura y de postre el de elote todo muy bueno, el chico que nos atendió Marlon súper atento en todo momento y nos hizo buenas recomendaciones, el chico de la entrada que entendimos era el dueño súper amable y simpático, seguro q volvemos

Celebrando el Día de Muertos en un restaurante mexicano precioso, con platillos deliciosos, calidad y empleados fantásticos, en medio de Barcelona. Un trocito del México costeño y pescador al lado de casa. ¡Vale la pena!
Sitio espectacular. La comida, los sabores… el servicio de los mejores que me he encontrado últimamente. Un descubrimiento muy agradable y sin duda volveremos. Calidad-precio muy buena, espero que no suban mucho los precios porque sin duda les auguro mucho tiempo abiertos.

Amables y atentos. Supongo que pq también eramos pocos. Empezamos siendo 1 mesa y nos fuimos que eramos 3 mesas. Ambiente del local tb agrable. Para probar. Las tostadas de atún lo mejor de todos. Tb probamos las de calamar aunque para mi gusto deberían ser con la misma base que los tacos. Todo muy rico. Los tacos de calamar buenos.
Todo maravilloso. Y relación calidad - precio increíble, con una pequeña excepción que comentaré al final. 2pax - 70€ Fuimos 2 personas sobre las 22:45h. Nos informaron con muchísima educación que la cocina cerraba a las 23:30, dándonos a entender que tendríamos que pedir pronto, pero, repito, fué con muchos modales. Pedimos: - Tostada de atún: 9'5/10 - Rollitos de txangurro: 9'5/10 - Tacos de calamar en su tinta: 8/10 - Patas de pulpo: 7/10 - Tarta de queso: 6/10 Las tostadas de atún tenéis que pedirlas, sí o sí, están deliciosas. Los rollitos de txangurro sorprendieron muchísimo al nivel de las tostadas. Los Tacos de calamar muy buenos Las patas de pulpo, muy tiernas i jugosas, lo único que la salsa de acompañamiento no estaba hecha para mí. Si os gustan los chilis, os encantarán. La tarta de queso, me pareció buena, un sabor dulce y textura aceptable, una tarta de queso de restaurantes hecha de manual. Lo único que no me encajó fue el precio: 10€ por una porción. Resumen: os recomiendo ir, volvería y pediría los mismos platos excepto la pata de pulpo y la tarta de queso. Nos pareció un restaurante muy bueno relación calidad - precio excepto por los postres.

Las imágenes no pueden reflejan la sensación y gusto que tuvimos al deleitar tales manjares y muchos que me olvidé de fotografiar porque estaba inmersa en el saborear ese cocktail de gustos!!! Esos sabores me han transportado a México en un cerrar de ojos!!! Al ser nuestra primera vez, optamos en compartir los platos, probamos: Las tostadas de Atún (con mayonesa de chipotle, atún marinado, puerro frito y aguacate, sobre tostada de maíz con sésamo) una explosión de gustos que se te deshacía en la boca. El cóctel de Mariscos Estilo Sinaloa (Pulpo, Gambas y Pescado), una mezcla curiosa y refrescante. Las bombas de Pulpo con Alioli y Chipotle, muy sabrosas. Los excelentes rollitos de Txangurro. Guiso de centollo con puerro, queso de oveja envuelto en tortilla de harina de trigo, con toques de mayonesa de chipotle y crema agria. Y de postre: La piña, Coco y Tequila. Cuarto de piña a la brasa marinado en tequila, servido con espuma de coco sin lácteos y toque de cítricos. Y los xocos, Frutas del Bosque. Maceta rellena de ganache de chocolate negro y chocolate blanco con maracuyá, crumble, frutos del bosque, mermelada de frutos rojos. A parte de la excelente comida, además hay que destacar la atención personalizada del dueño como la de todo el personal, ya que ha sido muy cuidadosa, rápida, educada y nos han aconsejado muy bien, cosa que se agradece hoy en día!!! Recomendable solamente para paladares que aprecien la calidad y sobre todo el pescado y marisco!!! Felicidades, seguir así!!!
Comimos allí porque nos pareció interesante la propuesta gastronómica que tenían y fue un acierto. En general todo muy bueno destacando los tacos de pulpo y la piña asada, que creo que es obligatorio pedirlo. La michelada no nos convenció mucho, pero por gusto personal. El único "problema" que hubo fue que no nos trajeron un plato, pero luego se descontó de la cuenta y todo solucionado. Sin duda lo recomiendo si quieres probar algo diferente al típico mexicano.
Great Mexican seafood experience! The food was fresh, flavorful, and well-seasoned. The seafood dishes had a perfect balance of spice and citrus, and everything tasted authentic. Wonderful! The service was excellent: friendly and accommodating. The food was perfect. The house salsas were exciting. The food is slightly on the expensive side considering the portions. 4-5 tacos are over 20€ and you will need that many. But if you aren’t dying from hunger and want an experience, then the money is well spent. After a week in Barcelona this was my favourite place, among a tough group of rivals. One of the easiest recommendations that I have ever made. Thank you for the pleasant time!
Really nice restaurant. Traditional Mexican restaurant with a seafood focus. The mezcal cocktails are fantastic and must gets. Food wise, the tostada's and pescado de la talla are also just gets. Will definitely be back.
Excellent 👌 Shrimp cocktail in Mexican style is on a different level - perfectly balanced and refreshing. Service, design, atmosphere - everything here in exceptionally good. Hint: try Margarita, you won’t regret it.
This spot nails Mexican fusion in Barcelona ! The empanadas were some of the best we’ve ever had. So light, flaky, and full of flavor. The aguachile was bright, tangy, and spicy with all fresh ingredients. The highlight was discovering the chile de árbol. The sauce they made with it was a treat for spice lovers. Highly recommend!"

Fabulous Mexican cuisine experience. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, tables are well spread apart and seating is very comfortable. The food exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend the aguachile, a Mexican take on ceviche, as well as the grilled fish main. The service was very attentive. We had a great evening, thanks to the restaurant team.
One of the best restaurants we visited for lunch in Bacelona. We had delicious traditional Tacos and Ceviche and also enjoyed the homemade Margarita. The service was excellent and very friendly, so we would highly recommend you visiting this place, which is located near the famous attraction Sagrada Familia. Kid friendly, also recommended f8r parents with young children.
Outstanding dinner! We had a few dishes to share and a drink each and definitely recommend all of them. Very nice pace and reception by Juan Carlos, the waiter that stayed with us all night. Educated and detail oriented throughout the meal, really made the night special.
The service and aesthetics of this restaurant are great. We sat outside on the little patio. We ordered the seabass and shrimp tacos, shrimp ceviche, guacamole and tuna tostadas. I would definitely come back for the guacamole, seabass tacos and the shrimp ceviche which was our favorite by far.
Beautiful restaurant with a lot of fish dishes to choose from. Amazing friendly service, just top notch! Food was so delicious it’s unreal. It is a little bit on the expensive side of the spectrum but it is 100% worth it!
Interesting concept of serving seafood and fish only, no meat. The grilled octopus was the best dish, really well cooked and full of flavor. Average price but totally worth it. Service was kind and explained everything perfectly.
It was so nice to eat in a mexican restaurant were everything tasted really authentic. The waiter gave us some good recommendations and we were very pleased with everything we ordered. There were some minor service issues, but when it comes to the food it was some of the best I've had. The tuna tostadas and the whole grilled fish were just unbelievably good! Servicio algo lento y desorganizado. La comida no me pareció excepcional, pero es probable que haya platos mejores que los que pedí. Las sopes de frijoles y queso no me gustaron demasiado, la tarta tres leches tampoco. Nos salió a 33€/persona, en periodo de fiestas no hacen menú. El local muy bien ambientado, la mesa central para grupos grandes muy agradable.
I recently visited a Mexican restaurant in the center of Barcelona with an informal atmosphere and nice decor. The service was very good throughout the evening. Out of everything we ordered, my favorite dish was the house specialty, the tuna tostadas. The green ceviche and tacos were also delicious. However, I found the aguachile to be rather unremarkable, and no one at our table enjoyed the cajeta dessert. On the other hand, the michelada beers and cocktails were excellent, and the carajillo at the end of the meal was a perfect touch. We didn't bring our dog this time, but we noticed on the way out that the restaurant is pet-friendly.
Came here for lunch with people from work, the menu was a bit expensive but the food was tasty. Really healthy tasty food but a bit expensive for the quantity. You pay 21€ for the full menu which is high price, and the portions were two small. The 4 stars is just because of that
I recently dined at this restaurant and must say their service was excellent. However, the portions were relatively small, and the prices felt a bit high for the experience offered. While they aspire to be a gourmet restaurant, there is room for improvement in that regard. Overall, a pleasant visit, but the pricing might not justify frequent returns.
tl;dr: looks good, tastes good. Not the best if you’re super hungry After working up an appetite during a day of exploring Barcelona with Girlfriend, we decided to come here for dinner. The place looks pretty good and even fancy, one could say. We were greeted at the door by a very nice gentleman who showed us to our table and explained the QR code menu system (which is becoming standard after the pandemic apparently). Prices were on the higher side, but we were getting hangry so we didn’t care much. Ordered crab cakes as appetizer. The house offered us a small plate of bread and (two large) chips to go with some house sauces, one of which was truly spicy. Nice! Crab cakes were nicely presented and very tasty. Just small. I got the aguachile, Girlfriend got the fish quesadillas. Again, nicely presented and tasty (aguachile was too limey though), but small and on the expensive side of things. Our server was very nice, and spoke English to Girlfriend, who doesn’t speak Spanish. Dishes were served quickly. Overall a pretty nice place for some gourmet-ish Mexican food if you’re not too hungry and don’t mind spending a little more than in other Mexican places.

Íbamos con las expectativas muy altas, y pese a que algunos platos nos sorprendieron hubo algún otro que no, como el ceviche que no nos gustó nada, fue recomendación del camarero y al comentarle que no nos gustaba, nos retiró el plato (aunque nos lo cobraron igual). Los tacos de atún fueron lo que más nos gustó. El pulpo también. El local es muy bonito y tienen una especie de terraza al fondo.
A Mexican restaurant that, if one looks at the menu, could be a remarkable and authentic experience. Unfortunately the food does not live up to the expectations, being not bad but just utterly forgettable. The aguachile rojo was described as spicy, but was extremely mild. The tuna tostadas were okay but featured very thin slices of fish. In the end, 40+ euros per person having drunk only a michelada each were quite hard to swallow.
