Excellent and beautiful restaurant in the heart of Barcelona. Best food I've ever had there. Best starters including some patatas with a fried egg on top that I inhaled, it was that good. Tapas as well as actual skirt steak for a main. Great affordable Spanish wine ($30) selection as well. I am really not a fan overall of the food I've had in Spain over the years, too much Tapas, but this place is on another level. Highly recommend.

Great & hidden gem. Loved so many of the meat and seafood dishes. Nice atmosphere, service, and the owner. Off the tourist strip. It should be rated higher than it is. Avoid the touristy traps on the main strip and eat here. Will come again.

Nice place hidden in a small romantic side street. Beautifull interior in an elegant timeless style. Definitely a meet place judging by menu options, but we decided to go with the seafood and we did not regret it. The sea bass was very good and the ceviche was just incredibly amazing. Small warning -cava only by the bottle.. at the end this is actually the correct way to enjoy life - with a bottle of cava, not with a glass . Recommended

Delicious, it was under cooked for my liking so they brought out a hot stone for me to cook to my liking. It was so delicious! The calamari was also very good. The Gonzalez sandwich was good too but the steak was far better.

Absolutely fantastic experience. We were able to fit in for 2 hours without a reservation. The staff was extremely kind and helpful in making suggestions. The atmosphere was phenomenal, it reminded us of Harry's in Barcelona. The food was excellent, and very fair pricing on both food and wine. And Absolutely GEM!!!! We will be back soon!

Very nice restaurant.. if i walk around those streets, maybe i wouldn't know there is this restaurant. It is kind of hidden in a passaige. However, once you find it... it is a great surprise when you get there, the design of the place is beautiful with realy nice warm illumination. music really relaxing, and the food was delicious. It's the place to go when you want to enjoy the full experience. Without crowds and noisy people.

Had a really nice evening here after randomly discovering Pepito. Very cute interior design and comfy place. Our waitress was outstanding, so nice, fast and friendly. Food was very nice, fresh and tasty. The steak tartare was great, the risotto with seafood tasty and the milenesa was better than in Milan. She also recommended a very nice local red wine, which was fantastic. Will for sure be back.

Love love love!!! We came here for lunch and it did not disappoint. The waiter was super friendly, it was very quiet and cosy so we almost had the place to ourselves. Restaurante precioso, para mi gusto, acogedor, con un interiorismo muy cuidado, con un estilo vintage e industrial pero muy elegante. He comido el tartar de salmón, muy bueno y bien presentado. El postre de tres texturas de chocolate está espectacular! La señorita que me ha atendido, muy amable y atenta. El único "pero" que le pongo es el baño. Si bien la decoración sigue la línea y todo está cuidado al detalle (especial atención al mosaico del suelo) el baño al que he entrado no se podía cerrar bien, y no había ni soporte para el papel de wc, algo mejorable con facilidad. Me sorprendió PEPITO sobretodo por su comida. La cocina es excelente. Mi hijo pidió una milanesa que nos sorprendió porque al filete empanado le añadieron queso fundido y unos tomates por encima y parecía una pizza. Yo me pedí el solomillo de vaca vieja. Maravilloso. Y mi mujer la ensalada Tana y le gustó mucho la burrata. Nos faltó una carta más amplia en cervezas. Y lo peor de este restaurante es la altura de los asientos y las mesas. Demasiado bajas. Mi hijo y yo medimos 1m90 y nos costó entrar y salir de las mesas. Este punto lo tendría en cuenta a mejorar las instalaciones. Por eso le doy dos estrellas al ambiente.

This is one of the hidden gems when it comes to food in Barcelona. The food is very local yet very tasty. Have a variety of food for both Non vegetarian and Vegetarians. Offer a full 3 course meal including starters, mains and desserts. Did I say you should try their drinks, most importantly the Sangria! A great meal with good hospitality and a great atmosphere.

It was a nice restaurant but not five stars. The food was okay but not exciting to me. Mine was like 3 stars but my husband loved his. So, I think 4 stars for the food is fair. But something else that was kind of annoying was that I could feel the smell of egg the whole time we were there! They definitely benefit from a good ventilation system!

The steak is simply outstanding, so good in fact it demanded a return visit less than a month later. I chose fillet on both occasions because the sirloin is only available for two, and alas my wife chose the salmon tartar both times — also such a gastronomic delight that we ended up swapping mouthfuls unable to pick our favourite. The hand cut chips are as good as chips can be. Did I mention the food here is absolutely outstanding? We also settled on an excellent red Crianza, a 2019 De Los Capellanes which was a truly fantastic offering for under €40. Sadly, and it is with genuine regret, I am having to dock a star because the service was not up to scratch. I would like to dock more than one due to many frustrations I won't list, but these included not receiving the bill for 20 minutes after asking three times (sounds unlikely but is true) and also having to walk to the bar and ask for salt after waiting five minutes while our unsalted starter went cold, and subsequently being ignored as I stood there with a polite smile. Other stuff that racked up too, just frustrating and unnecessary friction. However, the final straw was that when entering our card details, we were reminded that the bill does not include a tip, and after a month in Barcelona we were told this only twice: our first occasion visiting Pepito, and our second occasion visiting Pepito. It is cringing considering the same waiter, as friendly as he was, had apologised for the poor service about four times and promised things that he then didn’t deliver. If he hadn't asked I might have let it all go, but after being asked twice, and on this occasion after such poor service, it simply comes down to a lack of professionalism that doesn't meet the restaurant's otherwise excellent reputation and it left us feeling uncomfortable. But to round off, we would still go back as the food is just sensational, as is the wine.

Estábamos sentados muy cerca de la cocina, lo que convirtió la cena en una experiencia francamente incómoda. Desde nuestra mesa se escuchaban constantemente “comentarios” del chef dando órdenes a la sala, broncas incluidas, sin ningún tipo de filtro ni consideración por los clientes.

Buena situación del local, en pleno centro, pero la decoración mejorable, sobretodo las mesas y los sillones para comer: demasiado bajos y blandos. Nos gustó la comida, pero teníamos ganas de acabar para levantarnos. No apto para personas de gran corpulencia. El precio un poco elevado

He puesto 2 ☆ al ambiente porque quien tuvo la brillante idea de decorar el restaurante quedó descansado.... los asientos son más bajos que de costumbre, esto hace que no se esté del todo cómodo comiendo. En cuanto a la cocina, lo que probé me pareció bueno. El steak tartar de calidad.

Fuimos un grupo grande y el trato por el personal fue increíble, un 10. Los entrantes estaban decentes sin embargo quedé bastante decepcionado con el chuletón, calidad precio muy desproporcionado y la manera de servirlo en bandeja caliente hizo que se hiciese demasiado. Volvería a darle una oportunidad para probar otros platos pero como amante de la carne salí por la puerta con sensación agridulce.

La comida súper rica , las carnes excepcionales súper sabrosas y de calidad… Pero el servicio fue pésimo , una vez llegado no nos atendieron tuvimos nosotros que llamar la atención . El servicio fue lento , habían solo 5 mesas ocupadas y los platos llegaban uno a la vez con retraso de 20 minutos cada uno … y en ningún momento los camareros se disculparon …. The restaurant looks stylish and well designed, and the music selection is really nice. However, the service is quite weak , the staff rarely check on tables, and the food is served late. La comida era normal, aunque cara para la calidad. Tardaron como 15 minutos en traer las cartas y 59 para que llegara la comida. Lo peor de todo fue al final cuando al intentar dividir la cuenta nos iban a cobrar más dinero del que realmente pertocaba. En general, no volvería

Comida de sábado al mediodía que fue claramente de más a menos. A cada plato, la experiencia iba perdiendo estrellas. El local es bonito y bien ambientado, aunque los sillones son bajos y la postura resulta algo incómoda. La atención de las dos camareras fue muy buena, atentas y amables, pero claramente sobrepasadas. El ratio de mesas es justo y en los momentos clave se las veía desbordadas. Desde la mesa se ve la cocina: muy pequeña, con tres personas trabajando en un espacio más propio de una cocina doméstica. Probablemente insuficiente para la capacidad del restaurante. Entrantes correctos (chips de alcachofa, calamarcitos baby y huevos estrellados), alguno mejor que otro, pero nada especial, ni en calidad ni en cantidad, con precios medios de 15 €. Segundos: • Solomillo de vaca vieja con foie (41 €) • Chuletón (88 € + 6 € patatas) • Milanesa de ternera (21,90 €) Es inadmisible que un chuletón a ese precio esté duro y cueste masticarlo. No lo devolví por falta de tiempo (40 min de espera), pero debería haberlo hecho. Error mío. El solomillo, correcto sin más: por 41 € esperas algo claramente superior. La milanesa, aceptable, más propia de un bar alternativo que de un restaurante que presume de nivel. Conclusión clara: en horas punta falta personal, la cocina es pequeña y la calidad de la comida está muy por debajo de la media. En la carne no hay secretos: si falla, es porque el producto no está a la altura. Es ahí donde el restaurante parece maximizar margen… y justo donde debería mejorar con urgencia: calidad, cocina y personal. Para los locales: En Barcelona, con una oferta gastronómica enorme, no tiene sentido pagar 250 € para cuatro personas (dos adolescentes) existiendo opciones muy superiores. Para los turistas: trampa turística Y como guinda del pastel, pedimos la cuenta y tardó exactamente 20 minutos. Tuve que levantarme a reclamarla. Saturday lunch that clearly went from good to bad, losing a star with every course. The place is nice and well decorated, although the armchairs are very low and not particularly comfortable. The two waitresses were very kind and attentive, but clearly overwhelmed, especially during peak moments. The kitchen is visible from the dining room and is very small, with three people working in a space closer to a home kitchen than a restaurant of this size. Starters were acceptable (artichoke chips, baby squid, fried eggs), some better than others, but nothing special in quality or portion size, especially considering the average €15 price. Main courses: • Aged beef tenderloin with foie gras (€41) • Ribeye steak (€88 + €6 fries) • Veal Milanese (€21.90) A ribeye at that price being tough and hard to chew is simply unacceptable. I didn’t send it back due to time (we already waited around 40 minutes), but I should have. The tenderloin was decent but nothing remarkable for €41. The Milanese was acceptable, more in line with a casual bar than a restaurant claiming a certain standard. Conclusion: understaffed at peak hours, a kitchen that is too small, and food quality well below average. With meat, there are no secrets — if it fails, the product is not good enough. For Locals: In Barcelona, with so many excellent alternatives, paying €250 for four people (two teenagers) makes no sense. For tourists: Be adviced!!! Tourist Trap! And to top it off, we asked for the bill and it took exactly 20 minutes. I had to stand up and ask for it myself.
