I saw the port of Barcelona (port, not harbour) while I was in Montjuic hill and I don't know why, but I immediately decided I had to go there. So after a long day exploring the city, I walked a bit more from the end of La Rambla until I reached the bridge that links the mainland with the coastline, and I was already in love with the stunning view. Definitely not a tourist place, it was what I needed then. With the sunset and the infinite ocean I'd say it was truly peaceful. It became one of the most beautiful memories of Barcelona I'll preserve

This is by far one of my favorite port in Europe. Extremely organized, professional, efficient, and very friendly. The pontoons and équipement are of the highest quality. On top of that, there are music and restaurants all day long around the port. Very entertaining and welcoming. As we entered the port, we passed by some of the biggest and well-known super yachts. Such an honor to have been neighbors with such prestigious yachts. Upon arriving to our place, we were welcome by some very fabulous British boats owners who all came to give a hand to help dock our boat. As we left from Minorque to South of France on our boat, the port of Barcelona is definitely one of our best souvenirs from this trip. Bye for now and cannot wait to come back again.

İt is agreat and modern port which is fully equipped with everything anyone can ask.. cruise ships visiting barcelona are always dock here with private mega yatchs and all other ships.. it is also not far away from the city center as you can wander arround like 20 mins walk easily.. you can hava a better view of this port from above if you visiting castell de montujic like we did..it is huge..

It's a great place to go for a stroll.You'll see the huge ferries, the floating sculptures, the bridge to Maremagnum shopping centre. During the day there are markets where people set out their fake designer brand handbags, shoes, clothing etc on giant rugs on the ground, along the path heading toward the expensive yachts.

3000 people coming off a cruise. Apparently, there is no plan to deal with this, when a large proportion of them want a taxi. Turned into a chaotic free for all. No plan, or direction from port staff, for about 25 minutes. Serious need for proper plan when a situation like this arises again.

Worst port ever. They charge 1.50 to 4 bucks a drink if you cruise out of this port even if you got the drink package and are drinking in international waters or a different country. They also charge 20 percent tax on everything even if you're in a different country or international waters. Tax on 0 should be 0 not 3 bucks. What a greedy government. I shouldn't have to pay taxes to muitple countries. Got no warning on this they just added it out of no where. Bad enough it takes 3 hours to get through security at the airport.
