Osteria Villari was hands down the best meal we’ve had during our whole month in Italy. From the second we walked in, we were treated like family. It’s a real family-run place, the father, mother, and son all working together. You can genuinely feel the love they put into everything. They made us feel so welcomed, like we were part of their family. We started with the appetizer sampler which was awesome. So much variety and every single thing on the plate was packed with flavor especially the flan. We also got baked potatoes and grilled vegetables, and even the sides were on point. But the main event was the 90-day dry aged T-bone steak. They bring it out on a hot stone so you can cook it exactly how you like it. This steak was better than anything we had in Florence, seriously one of the most tender, flavorful pieces of meat I’ve ever had. And then the tiramisu… honestly, the best I’ve ever had in my life. No exaggeration. It was light, creamy, and just perfect. The wine pairing throughout the meal was also amazing which was clearly thought out and matched beautifully with everything we had. This place is unlike any meal we have had in Italy so far and I really with all my heart recommend for you to try it. You won’t have a single regret when you leave.

Our first night in Bari was unforgettable thanks to this amazing family-run restaurant. The food and service were absolutely top-notch. My husband and son each ordered an aged steak and said it was even better than what they had in Florence — and that’s saying a lot! I chose a fish dish that was truly unique and beautifully prepared. From the appetizers to the dessert, everything was delicious. We’re picky foodies, and this meal exceeded all our expectations. A warm, welcoming atmosphere and incredible cuisine — we highly recommend it!

We stumbled upon this place after walking around the area. The tile decoration is lovely and the food was amazing. Very fresh meat, a must order here. This place was so good, we came twice because we were fantasizing about the spaghetti al assesina for the next two days. The food is simple (examples: spaghetti al assesina was perfectly cooked and awesomely spicy, breaded chicken cutlet that was delicious and juicy) and amazing. The staff is friendly, and the place is casual and very nice. Two thumbs way up, and we'd love to visit this place again!

Location molto carina e particolare. Il cibo di buona qualità, ci è piaciuto tutto, ma il servizio molto lento. Ci siamo seduti alle 13.30 e ci siamo alzati alle 16.30. La pasta ci è arrivata dopo le 15. Ci auguriamo che sia stato solo un caso, perché il posto merita sia per l’ambiente sia per la qualità del cibo.

Osteria in pieno centro a Bari con braceria a vista e un bel banco frigo con vasta scelta di carni. Il locale è molto accorsato e indubbiamente si mangia bene, all'insegna della cucina tipica pugliese. Personalmente, a fronte di un conto più salato della bistecca, non ho ritenuto però le quantità delle portate giustificative del loro prezzo, seppur di buona qualità. Ma probabilmente sono io a non aver ben inquadrato il significato di "osteria". In cinque, 50€ a testa, con due bistecche divise, antipasti e vino della casa: eccessivo. Ad ogni modo un bel locale davvero, personale gentilissimo.

Attenzione se vai una volta ci ritorni sicuro😍 Cena o pranzo, carne o pesce, iniziando dai particolari antipasti e concludendo con dolci strepitosi, in un ambiente ricco di ricordi è il posto giusto per una perfetta sosta. Pappardelle ai funghi misti con straccetti di manzo e pomodoro secchi perfetti. Grande brace a giorno delizia la vista nell' attesa. Proprietario Michele ed il personale qualificato e gentile. Bagni pulitissimi e c'è anche un fasciatoio per bebè. Lo consiglio anche per festeggiare un evento.

Service was good. Food well. Hot starter chicken cooked in mushroom sauce with fried polenta was interesting but beware of small chicken bones. Wanted to try local pasta orecchiette and Orecchiette alle Cime di Rapa was the only option. Tiramisu was very nice and juicy ( often at many places prepared too dry). Good experience all in all. Not the best seating position close to the main doors and draft + cold.

Sono andato con amici e tutto sommato le pietanze di buon livello e abbondanti. Di qualità la carne! Fanno un po’ di confusione i camerieri e per un attimo abbiamo temuto il peggio per un alterco tra di loro. La proprietaria, con piglio autorevole, passeggia tra i tavoli dei conviviali e prende nota su un taccuino!? Tre secondi, due primi e 1/2 , un contorno e un litro di vino della casa € 118.

Qualche dettaglio da sistemare. Scelto per mangiare una bistecca alla fiorentina, il locale presenta il bancone con esposte le diverse tipologie, questa mi è stata preclusa perché taglio minimo un chilogrammo. Ognuno fa le scelte che vuole, ma una fiorentina in Toscana la tagliano da un minimo di 600, un taglio più accessibile se da soli. Alla fine ho ripiegato su un carpaccio e spiedini di coppiette. Niente di particolare. Fresco e buono il carpaccio con un eccesso di rughetta. Ma è questione di gusti. Infine mezzo primitivo della casa, buono. Solo che il taglio è mezzo o il bicchiere, il quartino non è previsto. Sarà per assenza delle crocchette tarate per i 250ml. Un giudizio di fatto sospeso non avendo potuto provare la carne che è il piatto forte a leggere la descrizione.

Ristorante di cucina tipica barese con brace a vista. Personale simpatico, atmosfera piacevole e accogliente che ti fa sentire il benvenuto. Cibo molto buono ma prezzo leggermente alto. C’è poca attenzione ai dettagli, i piatti sono decisamente “miseri” esteticamente; il piatto del mio primo era pieno di aloni e ditate mentre quello del mio ragazzo era semplicemente una bistecca messa su un piatto vuoto (vedi foto). Nonostante tutto però buon posto, non è la classica trappola per turisti.

Sono andato a cena in questo locale con la mia ragazza; il locale è carino, molto sobrio ed il proprietario, insieme al suo collaboratore, è molto gentile. Abbiamo ordinato l “Antipasto Villari” con diverse portate per due persone: baccalà fritto in pastella, parmigiana di melanzane, parmigiana di zucchine, polenta, sformato di formaggio con crema di peperoni e scamorza arrostita; come piatto abbiamo ordina il “Tronchetto di filetto” per due persone (taglio particolare del filetto cucinato alla perfezione ed offerto sulla pietra lavica) e delle patate al forno come contorno; infine come dolce abbiamo optato per: una “Crema Catalana” e degli “Sporcamussi”. La cucina è davvero deliziosa, solamente due pecche mi hanno fatto prendere la decisione di calare la votazione: la bruciatura della patina di zucchero sulla Crema Catalana e l’averci fatto pagre i due digestivi finali, quando loro ci hanno insistito a prenderli senza che nessuno glielo avesse chiesto (parliamo in tutti i casi di 6€). Per il resto è un locale davvero consigliato, ha dei tagli di carne pregiatissimi.

Esperienza pessima e deludente. Durante l’attesa delle ribs ci sono stati proposti degli antipasti “per ingannare il tempo”, senza che venisse minimamente specificato il costo. Al momento del conto ci siamo ritrovati 38€ in più, completamente inaspettati. Una mancanza totale di trasparenza. Gli antipasti, oltre a questo, sembravano semplicemente riscaldati, insapori e di scarsa qualità, assolutamente non adeguati al prezzo. Ma la cosa più grave riguarda le ribs al BBQ caramellate: una volta aperte all’interno, la carne emanava un cattivo odore, segno evidente di scarsa freschezza. Una situazione inaccettabile, soprattutto per questioni di sicurezza alimentare.

La mia cena in questo ristorante è stata decisamente al di sotto delle aspettative. Le porzioni erano completamente sbagliate: alcuni piatti minuscoli, altri esageratamente abbondanti, come se in cucina non avessero idea di cosa stessero facendo. Il cibo, quando è arrivato, era talmente caldo da risultare impossibile da mangiare subito, segno che probabilmente è stato riscaldato in modo frettoloso e poco curato. La qualità complessiva dei piatti è stata deludente: sapori piatti, ingredienti che non sembravano freschi e presentazione sciatta. Con i prezzi proposti mi aspettavo sinceramente molto di più. Peccato, perché il locale sembrava promettente, ma tra errori nelle porzioni e cibo che non convince, non posso proprio consigliarlo.

Locale molto ampio e confortevole, personale cortese e sollecito (peraltro al momento della nostra visita eravamo poche persone presenti). Cibo molto salato e senza particolari qualità, ma soprattutto nessuna coerenza con il prezzo. Abbiamo cenato due volte a Bari, in questo locale rapporto qualità/prezzo decisamente inferiore.

DO NOT be blinded by the nice looks of the restaurant and the meat display ! The worst restaurant and service I have ever seen. One word: chaos ! We were forced to leave a restaurant for the first time in our lives along with another 3 tables of other people. They have potential but no clue on how to run a restaurant.
