Opinions de Ninfa's Bellmead
Our waiter, Holdan was pleasant and knowledgeable. He kept the glasses full. The mango salad with grilled chicken fit in beautifully with my food program. The avacado, tomitillo salsa was very tasty and not too hot.
Have not visited Ninfas since I was a little kid and the nostalgia came rushing in as me and my school district decided to eat for our celebratory dinner after the 2026 FCCLA conference. The atmosphere was amazing and inviting and the service for a big party was phenomenal. Liam was awesome in taking care of our every need and even recommended an awesome dish!! Try the crawfish and steak fajitas enchiladas!! Overall it was a 10/10 experience from start to finish. I recommended everyone stop here. You won't be disappointed.
While attending training in Waco, we found Nifa's there! A small group of us went for dinner....the food was absolutely amazing! The fajitas were heaven on a plate! Got, fresh and very delicious! The server was a credit to the business! She was friendly, very attentive and knew the menu and products they had! Reminded me of the food and quality of the original location from years back. I would wholeheartedly recommend this for everyone!!
This was a great place to go and eat. It was recommended by family and we all went together. The food was excellent as we're the margaritas. Our first frozen margarita was slow coming out and should not have been served in the first place as the ice had melted and the tequila seemed to stay separated even when stirred. However, when we told the easier he did immediately offer another one and took the first back. The food was delicious hit and perfectly cooked. The spices were excellent. I ate everything on my plate it was so good. The servings were also generous. I would recommend this place for a great evening dinner with family and friends.
I stopped at this restaurant while driving through town and I’m glad I did. The service was amazing since you open the door. The food was super fresh and tasty. I highly recommend the carne Guisada plate, it is very authentic and can be spicy if you like. The drinks were on point and the place ambient very comfortable. I for sure will come back again!
Tory at Ninfa’s in Waco, Tx was outstanding. She brought our drinks before we ever had to ask, stayed on top of everything, and delivered the best service we’ve had at any restaurant so far. The food was delicious, but the service was on another level entirely. This is real Mexican food, not the fake stuff, and this place is now our go-to spot. We’ll definitely be back, and we’ll be making reservations—and asking specifically for Tory. If you're looking for greatness in both quality food and top-tier service, Ninfa’s is the place to be.
A group of 7 of us ate today and everything was excellent. Everyone enjoyed their food. The waiter was pleasant, made good suggestions, and worked quickly. I ordered the Crawfish Enchiladas. He suggested adding fajita meat to the cheese enchiladas, with the crawfish cream sauce topping. It was AMAZING. I couldn’t eat all of both so I shared large bites with two buddies and they agreed it was spectacular. The charro beans were perfectly flavored too.
To start out I am usually not big on Mexican food but Ninfa's changed all that.Jman our awesome waiter not only delivered great service but also great reccomendations on drinks. I had to go twice while I was on my trip. I love the food, the drinks and the amazing atmosphere and staff. Now I have a favorite Mexican restaraunt and favorite waiter that we will try to get every time. Thank you so much Jman & Twila for making my visits great!!!!
Great atmosphere, awesome service, tasty food! I had the shrimp stuffed jalapeno popper thingies and the best advice I can give is order four instead of two! Then I had the La bonita, a great sampling of a chicken enchilada, chile relleno and a beef taco. My only disappointment is I am too full to try the apple empanadas!
Wow. Amazing. This is the kind of place that you can tell everything is made in house. The green salsa in particular was phenomenal, but both were good! The chips and queso were outstanding (they came with special chips). My husband got a burrito and it was great and clearly made with one of their homemade tortillas. I ordered the pisca and wow it was so incredible. The only thing is that the shrimp was slightly overdone. The steak was perfect. The charo beans were even good and I don't even usually care for those. Would definitely come again! The menu had plenty of great looking options.
Completely and pleasantly surprised in several ways. I'm not local and Nifa's was a short walk from the hotel so I had no expectations. I was warmly welcomed and was sat immediately for dinner. I had no sooner been seated when I was welcomed once again by Alyssa who took a drink order. I ordered an entre upon her return and enjoyed the best salsa I've had in sometime while I waited my dinner order of BBQ Brisket enchiladas. Once more pleasantly surprised. They were fantastic! Not only that, I only got a few chips in before they arrived. I was only seated about 12 minutes while all this took place. The most pleasant staff and outstanding food in less than 15 minutes. Thank you Nifa's!
Ninfa’s Mexican Restaurant never disappoints, but this time, our experience was truly exceptional thanks to our amazing server, Julio! From the moment we sat down, he made us feel welcomed and well taken care of. His attention to detail, friendly personality, and great recommendations made our meal even more enjoyable. We started with a large queso appetizer, which came with fresh, warm flour tortilla chips—absolutely delicious! Then, we had the steak fajitas, and they were nothing short of phenomenal. The tender, perfectly seasoned steak was topped with a rich and flavorful Durango sauce that took it to the next level. The fajitas came sizzling hot, paired with fresh tortillas, grilled veggies, and all the right toppings, making every bite packed with flavor. The chips and salsa were fresh and addicting as well. Julio went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, checking in at just the right moments and keeping our drinks full. His positive attitude and genuine hospitality truly set the tone for a fantastic dining experience. If you’re looking for delicious Mexican food with top-notch service, Ninfa’s is the place to go—be sure to ask for Julio! We’ll definitely be coming back.
Absolutely fantastic food!! I saw their sign for homemade tortillas and asked the waiter for a recommendation that incorporated them. He recommended the tacos that have sides like where you can build your own like a fajita. The food came out fast and it was such a great choice!! the tortillas and the beef were really, really good! 10/10 I also liked they gave you 2 different dips with your chips. Highly recommend a stop in!
Lunch with friends. Ninfa’s is a tried & true favorite. Festive atmosphere, good service, delicious enchiladas. The historic building is clean and inviting highly recommend Ninfa’s.
Even though it was our second choice for dinner that evening, it was much as I remembered. The place is huge with lots of tables and our party was sat immediately. The setup of the tables does mandate the it is harder to accommodate parties larger than four, so plan to wait. Service was quick and accurate, but food runners don't know who ordered what. I would skip the queso if you don't like Velveeta, this was the only bad dish we ordered. Carnitas, fresh made tortillas, tacos were all excellent choices. Prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity you get as we did not leave hungry.
When it comes to the main dishes, Ninfa’s is where it’s at. The beef and enchilada were great! I’d say their only draw back was their sides lacked a bit of flavor. However, I didn’t mind the lackluster rice, because I was already full on the main dishes. The atmosphere is cute and decorated nicely for the holidays. I’d say this is a perfect spot for a business meet up, large family groups, or visitors. I’d definitely come back.
I should have listened to my friends... This past weekend I went to Ninfas, a "Mexican" restaurant in Downtown Waco, Texas. I went with absolutely no expectations, since I try to be honest in every review I write. But when you go to a restaurant that specializes in a certain type of food, you at least expect them to have exactly that. Mexican Restaurant = Mexican Flavor, right? Well, if you're expecting authentic Mexican food at this place, you're not going to find it. This is a Tex-Mex restaurant, but more Tex than Mexican. lol. The food was so low quality in my opinion. I thought the tortillas were Walmart's Great Value brand, but after getting home I realized that Walmart's brand was superior, so it's not Great Value. I went on a Friday, and although I always expect places to be packed, this place was completely overflowing. Naturally, there wasn't a single Latino sitting at any of the tables. I should have known I was in the wrong place. The employees were constantly rushing around, and the stress was palpable. And that was reflected in the food. One thing I did notice, though, was that the waitresses were very helpful, and the food came out quickly. Another thing: the food wasn't that bad, but it's something I could easily make at home. Store-bought tortillas, meat, and cheese. Nothing special. I don't understand the hype surrounding this place, although based on the clientele, I gather it's not for authentic Mexicans or Latino in general. There are better places like this in the area. Even Jorge's felt gourmet compared to Ninfa's. Didn't took picture on this one, no needed.
I don’t know if it was just the server. But this was our first time here and our 10th Anniversary. We had a horrible experience! Two things I ordered were wrong, and I didn’t notice my dinner was wrong until I got home after eating half my dinner at the restaurant. I ordered the Spinach Enchiladas WITH chicken. Guess what? No chicken… Needless to say we were very disappointed. We felt neglected by our server. Unfortunately even though the food was absolutely delicious, we will not be returning.
We came at 7:45 and half the restaurant was empty. We asked for a table for 6 - 2 of the party was here while the remaining were in another car on their way. The hostesses rudely stated, “oh we can’t seat you until your entire party arrives.” There was no wait. We even stated that we would be ordering appetizers and drinks upon seating for 6.. 3 of the hostesses were quick to chime in. We were not arguing or being disrespectful. We were trying to understand and express our intent. The sign states “we will not seat incomplete parties on a wait.” Again, there was no wait. If your policy is going to change based on who is working the host stand, then I would suggest having a clearer policy or making sure your entire staff understands the policy. We have been decades long customers of Ninfa’s and have never been treated so disrespectfully and disregarded. As I’m sitting here writing this.. there is a group of 6 wait staff just hanging out behind the host stand. Great way to lose customers and money.
