What a great place for excellent food and great vibe. Set in the Mountains west of Fort Collins and right along the Poudre River. Stopped in and was greeted warmly and shown right to our table by the hostess. Bar and pub atmosphere with a rustic feel of nostalgia. The mountains overlook you as the River provides such a scenic feel. There’s more to try on the menu, so we’ll be back for sure. NOTE they don’t accept cash, only card transactions. Well worth it.
Such a venue for live music, great food, and scenic views! Our party of 5 had appetizers on the patio on the perfect weather day. The server was super friendly and knew a lot about the hummingbirds that visit the feeders hanging from the roof over the river. We caught a glimpse of an orange hummer just as we were about to leave. Will definitely be back!
One of the best music venue / restaurants in northern Colorado. It is a very quaint venue that sounds awesome and has an even better staff. They get some pretty awesome concerts every year. I would suggest trying to get a parking pass but the shuttles do function very efficiently. Their food is very good and I also love that they have liquid death. Definitely worth checking out I just spent three nights there for Umphrey's McGee and it was extremely memorable, cheers!
Stopped for a late breakfast early lunch after a hike and sat outside and enjoyed the rushing water and scenic mountains. Great service and delicious food. Here visiting my son and glad we ate here as it had been over 6 years since I ate here. Love the outdoor music area as well!
Took a chilly motorcycle ride up through Masonville and stopped at the Mish for lunch. Their special was grilled cheese with tomato basil soup. Added some hot chocolate to warm the soul. Perfect lunch on a cold day.
We had a small wedding reception at the Mish. I chose this place because my parents got married there when I was 1 year old (36 years ago). Gary negotiated with me because I had it on a Wednesday and it was small. The food was amazing and honestly I had never tasted their food before so we took a small risk there and I am so glad we did! Gary was such a pleasure to work with. So professional and accommodating. He was very thorough and thoughtful. The staff was friendly and so very helpful. The view is so impressive both in the day and at night. When the sun goes down, colored lights shine on the river and mountain side and makes for some beautiful pictures. It was actually my dream wedding come true. Not enough I could say that would come close to how amazing Mishawaka is.
The Restaurant is right on the Poudre River! The outdoor patio is on top of the river ! It’s Awesome ! Good is great, service is fabulous! The view on the patio ( look at pictures ) Thank you The Mish! From Wisconsin made our vacation a better !
It's always a joy to work at The Mishawaka! The natural beauty of the Poudre Canyon is a stunning backdrop - perfect for couples looking for a unique and outdoorsy wedding venue. Gary and the rest of the crew are super easy to work with and the food is delicious! If you're dreaming of an outdoorsy, laid-back kind of wedding, The Mish is a great spot.
Did a little something non traditional for Easter. Up the canyon for a late lunch watches the Poudre River roll by. Our timing was off so we were WAY early before our reservation. They accommodated us with no problem. Perfect view of the river. Kind and attentive service, delicious food & adult beverages. Topped off with a playlist of ALL Beatles. Incredible good vibe, history, peace ☮️ & love 💗 Thanks to all for helping us create a new tradition
The Mishawaka is such a wonderful spot for a wedding. The setting is gorgeous and so unique. Being right next to the river and in the canyon is stunning. The staff was absolutely wonderful. From planning to execution they were flawless. They really care and it shows. The catering was delicious. The party was a blast. I would highly recommend you consider this iconic venue for your wedding or event or brand activation. Extra special shout out to Gary, Meg, Will, and Manny who went many extra miles to make sure this event was one no guest will ever forget.
Everything about this venue was AMAZING! Our shuttle time changed but fortunately we could park along side of the road and walk to the venue. It was not over crowded. They have PREVENTION people there which is highly respectable, you can get information on addiction and get REVIVE (Narcan) kits. I have never seen that anywhere else. They take care of their community! Loved the lights on the river too :)
this venue is incredible. top three venues in Colorado. a must visit. the river running behind the venue and the canyon is stuck a vibe. you can always park on the road, you may have to walk a half mile or so. no cell service, which ironically, is pretty nice in the grand scheme of things. just gotta come up with a game plan with the homies so y'all don't lose each other at the show. 10/10. highly recommend!
If you are around fort collins, definitely swing past well, worth the time and visit, they have great shows. The food is delicious and all of the weight staff is spectacular. One of my favorite spots. It is tucked along the river the scenery is beautiful. A must in my opinion.
Enjoyed a great concert, didn’t order any food (so no feedback there), but the staff, environment, and everything else was great. For large events, consider either using a shuttle or purchasing a parking pass.
This place was fantastic! The beautiful setting along the river ,the nice intimate size and the friendliness of everyone working there made this feel like home! I saw the Infamous Stringdusters 2 nights in a row and felt like I was hanging out with family! Amazing!!
The best musical venue in Colorado. Very intimate. Capacity is around 900 people. Patrons are shuttled in. Bring a water bottle, a blanket, and pack light. Most definitely worth the experience as it sits right on the Poudre River. The staff if awesome and quite prepared. We’ve been here twice now and both times was a religious experience. So great. I would recommend this place to anyone that wants to have a great time at a great venue with an amazing sound system. Very cool light show with the sweet laser. We went during the full harvest moon and spent some time howling at the moon.
Awesome breakfast with a mimosa right on the river! It was a wonderful way to spend a Monday morning when there was no traffic and barely anybody at the restaurant!
Booked a VIP seat for a concert this summer and it was an incredible experience. We had a Birds Eye view of the entire theater and it’s beautiful scenic surroundings. VIP booth gave us our own full service wait staff, which made it super easy to order drinks and food as we wanted. No waiting in lines! The only downside is there wasn’t much room to stand and dance! So if you like to move to the music, probably better off in the general admission area. You can hear and see the water rushing behind the stage. The lighting illuminates the surrounding trees. Definitely glad we grabbed a parking spot for the show. Parking is very limited and we were able to arrive and leave when we wanted without having to wait on the shuttle bus. Some things to note; parking is on gravel. It gets very dark after sunset so finding your way up the road can be a bit scary. Restrooms are portable toilets. Lots of great food items to order once inside the venue. Come early and grab dinner!
Tumbledown Shack love the Mish!! Such an amazing venue that we have in northern Colorado!! You can catch us New Years Eve at the Mish!!
A must stop if you're in the area. Service was great, bartender was our waiter, he handled it all very well. Thank you fir a great experience while in Colorado.
We had so much fun dining in a bubble. We enjoyed seeing the area snow covered. So pretty! Make reservations cause they get busy. We went at 4pm so we watched the sun set and then enjoyed the pretty lights inside the bubble and the lights they cast onto the stream. I had the fish and chips and my husband had a burger. Both meals were great. Staff is friendly and attentive.
An "off the beaten path" kind place, this venue/restaurant is awesome. Food and service at the restaurant are great. The venue is perfect for the smaller crowd/higher talent concert goer. Parking is very limited due to its location on the Poudre ruver. Restaurant parking is not bad, especially during the day. On busy days they have a constant monitor. But if you are going to hang out or catch a concert, you can purchase a parking reservation. It isn't cheap, but tickets typically are..so it's a wash compared to other venues.
This was the most EPIC concert that I have ever attended. We were there to see the Disco Biscuits. The destination along with venue made the experience and what a light show! This hands down beat my Red rocks experiences. We took the back way to the concert which was a very scenic route! We had dinner reservations there to start our night. It was too cool to have dinner and walk right to the show next door. This is an awesome little place too! They make stiff drinks and service and food were excellent! We started with French onion soup and cheese sticks. I loved the French onion soup it was delicious! For our entrees we choose a grilled chicken sandwich and Philly steak sandwich which were both excellent. I highly recommend checking out the Mish
A brand new music venue for us. The surrounding beauty and the shuttle ride in addition to the music and friendliness was awesome. We will definitely visit again!
The Mishawaka was the perfect place for us to host our Chaco Wedding! We had 35 couples either renew their vows or elope for our event and the Mishawaka went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly. The river running right by the venue really created a beautiful atmosphere for the day and their lawn space as a great spot for everyone to hang out for the day. They were on top of every detail and make sure we had no stress the day of! Super quick communicators who really want to make your day as special as you want it to be. Host your event or wedding there and you won't be disappointed!
Very nice menu for any type of eater. There is a nice drink menu. We had the artichoke dip appetizer and it was very nice, flavorful and large. The french dip sandwich is very tasty. There is a deck for dining outdoors. It is recommended to reserve a table online on the weekends. There are several stages for live entertainment, one indoors and one outdoors. Really enjoyed the food, flavor and drinks.
Loved the ambiance of the whole bar. They had a great side room that was full windows. And they had very comfortable bubbles on their deck. We showed up after the 30 in snow drop and to have beer and good in these bubbles was so comfortable. The view is something to see person. The pictures don't do it justice
Beautiful hidden gem of a venue/restaurant and a must visit! This was our second time visiting Colorado and we got the opportunity to make the drive into the mountains to see the Mish in person. The food was very good, I tried the pulled pork sandwich with the exclusive Mish ale and both were delicious. I felt the prices were very reasonable considering the location and ambiance of the whole place, the view of the river is beautiful as well as the hummingbird feeders that had lots of activity during our lunch. We hung out for a couple of hours waiting on a show and picked up some postcards to send out to family. They'll even mail them out for you! The production of the show was excellent as well IMO and the venue staff were very kind with the unusual crowd for the evening. Overall a fantastic experience, and the next time we visit Colorado we will visit the Mish again!
Spectacular waterfront dining along the Poudre River, with really good food, friendly service, and if you happen to be there for one of their live music events, an outstanding venue with an unparalleled scenic backdrop. All around a great place to stop day or night for a quick bite, or a night of entertainment. I love the history, and the evolution to what it is today!
The Mish is one of my families favorite places to go for as long as I've been alive. The venue, the food, drinks, staff, music, views, etc are all amazing. Boots, Chris and kids have been close family friends all our lives, we spent all our summers up here enjoying everything this amazing place has to offer! 39yrs and it's still one of my Top Favorite Places to go!!!! You haven't lived until you've had the opportunity to go here!!!
This place was absolutely amazing! The food was great, the outside dining area,on the river ..perfect! I guess we missed the white water rafting by a couple of days. The river was low but still beautiful!
Great lil concert venue for a more intimate out door experience. Get there early to claim your spot. Time appropriately should you be taking the shuttle as nearby parking is limited. Decent food and beverage options as well, so grab dinner there before the concert. Camp nearby if you can as it a very pretty area by the Poudre river. Fun concerts with and eclectic crowd mix, they offer a variety of genres and are truly a must do event when in the Ft. Collins area.
Man this venue is SPECTACULAR absolutely beautiful vibes!! Go check out the venue its WON'T disappoint ya!! Will be back
We had our post elopement celebration at The Mishawaka and highly recommend it to anyone considering hosting a private event there. It is the most beautiful venue, located alongside the Poudre River up the canyon. Hosting an event there is a la carte, so there is room to build the event in a way that suits you. We worked with many external vendors, however, The Mishawaka offers table and chair rentals, shuttle service, and catering in house if needed. We did utilize the shuttle service with Kevin and his team and everything was clear, on time, and comfortable for our guests coming from Fort Collins. The Mishawaka Team (especially Will, Gary, and Meg) were all extremely helpful, communicative, and flexible. We could not have dreamed of a more incredible place to celebrate our love! Whether you're looking to host an private event, attend a show, or enjoy a meal - they have you covered. The Mishawaka is one of my favorite places in the world. Wow! This place has it all.. Come for the music, and stay for the food, drinks, and best of all.. the river! With several different indoor seating areas, and shaded outdoor seating on the big deck over the river, you and your friends will have a place to brag about for years to come. Their breakfast burritos are affordable, and the rest of what's on the menu looks delicious, with bison, beef, fish, and of course salads to choose from. Nearby hiking and camping are also a big plus.
Always love going to The Mish! Not a bad seat in the house, great food, and always fun to spend a weekend with friends camping for a concert. Having no cell service forces us to unplug and enjoy the moment, something that doesn’t happen too often these days. I always tell people that The Mish is my favorite concert venue in Colorado - even better than Red Rocks!
My guys. I couldn't be more ecstatic about the staff and security. The whole venue is such a treat. People did move our stuff but thats besides the point. Its an amazing venue and the people are amazing. Just be careful not to sit near the bar because lines can get in your zone and you'll have alot of people passing. Poi is allowed when shows aren't sold out. And they have a great water station. (Right of stage) The bathrooms were super quick and they also have a great place to wash hands. Not a pump station.
We had an anniversary part to remember at the Mish! If you love the outdoors, this is the spot for you: beautiful backdrop of the Poudre River with live music in a fun environment. Plus, they were easy to work with, had good communication, and had someone on site the day of the event to help everything run smoothly. Thanks for a great time!
Highly recommend the Mish for private events/weddings! We had our wedding with them in October and it was perfect. Great food, fun atmosphere and unique venue. The team was great to work with too
A destination roadhouse with limited parking along the sides of the busy but narrow remote canyon road, overlooking the river and canyon walls. Burgers, nachos, chicken tenders, onion rings, beers, mocktails. Motorcycle riders taking a break, fly fishermen, families. Sunday football on a couple of screens. Reservations available through OpenTable. About 50 mins NW of Fort Collins. We made a big afternoon drive from Laporte to The Mishawaka, then the backroad over the windy mountains to Masonville, Horsetooth Reservoir, back to Harmony Rd in Fort Collins. About $30 pp.
Food is good. Good portions. Reservations for outside sitting. Amazing spot to stop over and eat and enjoy the amphitheater. One of a kind spot by the river. Lots of humming birds and good spot! My son said I need to mention the bugs that bites! His so sweet so he get bug bites hahaha 😆
The staff was very friendly and cool. I wish parking was better, but that can't be helped. They are very clear on parking rules ahead of time so just read your emails! The place was super clean and well organized during the concert and when we just went for dinner and no concert. The food is great! My only real complaint is that the swarm of wasps while eating was very disrupting of our dinner. They would get into our drinks and just chill. Sorry wasps, I wanted to drink that.
I went here for a Studio Q workout/yoga/brunch. The atmosphere is amazing! Very peaceful and I cannot wait to see a show here. The brunch was decent as I had the biscuits and gravy. The potatoes were cold and the service was not great though as i was never able to get a refill of water in the 40 minutes I was there and we had to track down someone to get our check.
Driving through we decided to check the place out since it looked to have character. As soon as we walked in we saw that it had gobs of character and honestly one of the more intriguing restaurants I've been to in Colorado. The outside seating views are simply fantastic - we could have stayed there all day. Speaking of outside seating, we had a weird situation with not getting one of the many empty tables right on the river but turned out to be a communication problem more than anything else (they are reservation only and that was not communicated at the time). We will make another stop next time we are driving though!
On a recent trip to Ft Collins from our home in Idaho to visit our oldest son, with our younger son coming up from Durango so we could all spend Thanksgiving together, along with their fiancees, we came on the Friday after Thanksgiving to The Mishawaka. It is a pretty drive along the river up to the restaurant. The inside has a rustic hip vibe. There are signed photos of many famous musical artists, like Joan Baez and Elvin Bishop. There are window tables facing the river inside and there is a deck outdoors with little bubble tents that have space heaters and give you a view of the river. We had to wait a bit to get seated, as they were pretty busy, but they gave us one of these enclosed tables. Our female server was nice but she was busy and so the service was not super attentive. Still, we received our food--once our order was taken--in a timely way. Our party of six ordered the French Dip, Tortilla Soup, Edamame, and I had the Reuben. My sandwich was pretty good, not the best Reuben I've had, and the fries were a little soggy and I like them crisp, Overall, The Mishawaka was a fun experience and I'm glad we got the chance to come.
Views and service are great but the cost has gotten outrageous the past couple of years. An extra 4% for "kitchen maintenance," another 4% for "canyon accessibility." A burger is $20 and you'd have to pay nearly an extra $4 just for fries. Only come if you're here for a concert or the views and be prepared to pay a lot for simple food.
Call it what it is, a dive restaurant in the middle of nowhere that seems to have a cult following because it has concerts. The Mac and cheese was good, I’ll give them that. But my God the fish and chips were terrible. The fries were standard so no complaint there, but the fish was awful. They were filled with mustard and the crust tasted so burnt. 🤮 Oh, and the restrooms inside were closed so you had to go across the highway to use porta-potties— so no sinks to wash up.
Some how they got my review deleted. Absolutely terrible when we went last. I have been coming here as long as I can remember. This last time up the service was absolutely awful food was disgusting my whole family ended up getting sick. And not they think they can charge 8% for extra fees. Picture to show what they do now. Will not ever be back.
We rode in with some friends, having never been there before. Place looked cool and big windows overlooking the river. Unfortunately we didn't get seated in their empty dining room except at the bar. The food pricing is pretty bad. I had gotten a Reuben sandwich and upgraded from chips to fries. For the nearly $4 upcharge, you'd think the fries would be edible or even a decent portion. What we got was thin, bland, burnt fries that had zero seasoning that was just a toddler's handful of fries. None of us finished the fries on our plates. Over $20 a person, the food wasn't worth it. Infact, none of us finished our food or took it to go. To be told we had to use a porta potty ACROSS the street after spending a lot on our bill definitely was the last time we stop in.
Cockroaches! Terrible place! The food is not good, and it is way overpriced. They take forever to bring food to the table. The service was bad and it was obvious that my server did not want to be there. I witnessed a different server treating a table of bikers with horrible service, while treating her other tables like gold and being extra nice to them. And to top it all off: While waiting a long time to finally get the check and pay the bill, I saw a cockroach crawl out of the wall! It was just out in the open and comfortably searching for food crumbs. Absolutely disgusting and I will never be back!
