First time visit to Dave's Chippy! I was really impressed with the proper chip shop chips and tasty curry sauce. Best was their fish cakes. So tasty and much better than back home.

Had many evenings eating in this chippy in the month we stayed in benidorm. We both enjoyed all our meals here, especially the fish and chips and mushy peas and the best pot of tea. The lady waitress was excellent in friendliness and service, and we never had a long wait for the meal, even when it was very busy and with takeaways, still pretty quick. And of course the prices were really good. Will return here next year, for the same. Many 😊 Terry and Carol.

Wow wish we’d found this chippy days ago. Totally worth a visit proper fish and chips better than our local chippy back home. Deserts make a refreshing change to the tasteless one in the hotel. Let the plates speak for themselves …

We called in today,we were a bit early so had a brew while they set up for the day, we both had fish, chips and mushy peas, i had the large cod, my wife enjoyed it more so, due to the fact the batter was light and crisp ,it was all cooked to perfection really, first time here but will call in again when staying near by, the interior is nicely done, with bench seating cubicle style, with a bar area too, and a fridge full of lovely deserts, they have daily offers plus other eating options, curries, kebabs, jacket spuds etc, and a kiddies menu, so well worth a visit wether a solo traveller or a family etc, for fish and chips mushy pease twice one large,and four mugs of tea in total €23 bargain

Ordered southern fried chicken , chips and salad for 8.50€ the food was great , homemade chips, friendly service. We wanted the mix starter but its sold out. Price is not so cheap anymore as the portion is small

Lovely for a quick bit of comfort food. Server (lady from Belfast) was an absolute gem and made us feel very welcome. Value for money was excellent.

Visited Dave’s chippy for a quick meal. I wanted the lasagne but there was none. So I ordered meat and potato pie that was advertised outside for €5. Finished my meal and requested my bill only to see I was being charged €6 for the meal. Mentioned this to the waiter, who informed me the advert outside was take away only. Please see photo. It clearly says sit in or take away. However, he did give me it for €5 otherwise he would not have got a tip. Service was good though and the pie was just ok. Hence the 3 stars.

The burger was quite dry but overall it was a good burger however they seem to be frozen burgers… The chicken kebab was one of the worst kebabs I’ve tasted in Benidorm, it was so dry, the meat inside it was cold and it tasted like soap. The only thing good about the place is the prices and the service. However I visited this place a year ago and everything was delicious so maybe this has been taken over by new owners. Unfortunately I won’t be back to this restaurant again.

Een Engelse zaak vlakbij het Levante strand waar het vol zit met Engelse publiek etc. Je moet er van houden maar voor mij hoeft het niet, het is veel te luidruchtig publiek. De fish and chips was niet lekker.

Was there for a sit in a couple of years ago, and the fish n chips were outstanding, just had fish and chips just now (21/3/19), won't be back, rank. Fish was poor quality n chips were black, waste of money.

Photos look nice but cooked in old fat, expensive, could get something nicer for less in the area, won’t be going back , waitresses was very friendly though.

Terrible food and service. Fish was way overcooked mushy peas very watery and looked like chips were reheated. Staff/owner uninterested. These places do themselves no favours and wonder why the struggle to make ends meet.

Well one star and I haven't even been here.....last night out in Benidorm my wife and I skipped dinner on the premise that daves chippy is open until 11.30pm everyday. Got there at 10.00pm closed, shutters down......surely a business can ensure its businesd hours are correctly displayed......

Decided to try Daves chippy whilst in Benidorm - sorry we did! Ordered chicken tikka masala and it came out in a child's portion size but with loads of rice to 'bulk it out' The toasted cheese sandwich was so thin it looked like it had been ironed! On a plus - and this is being generous, the chips were proper chip shop chips. We ended up sharing them in case I passed out with starvation after the curry - or lack of it 🤪

Worst chippy ever. Asked for a battered sausage n chips. She took an already cooked sausage out of the display and proceeded to dip it in batter and then refry it. It was hard on both ends... no meat in the middle...I squeezed a chip and the oil that came out was unreal. The lot went in the bin. Shud have complained but cud not be bothered to walk back and have an argument. Never again..the wifes fish..... well I won't even go there if that's what they called a fish... sorry.. but that's the truth.

Well where do i start service amazing. The food diabolical i will never go here again. Iv been beck in the day so decided go again.

Ordered 2 lots of cheese & onion pasty, chips & mushy peas. Chips were bland, dry and lukewarm at best. One cheese & onion pasty tasted fine and was hot (straight from the microwave I assume) whilst the other was lukewarm and tasted like washing up liquid. Been served nicer food at a 3 star hotel! Definitely wouldn’t recommend or be going back. The waitress saw a full plate being returned and still charged us for the meal!

Shocking , had take away fish n chips. Came back to pick it up as it had to be freshly cooked. Chips stopped on top of soggy fish, cooked dirty oil. Fish was less than 1cm in thickness. Batter not crispy. We live here vowed 3 years ago never to go back. Thought that was in covid time, so time to try again. Extremely disappointed. NOTE TO SELF NEVER AGAIN.

Purchased chips today and I wish I hadn't bothered. Portions were tiny and the chips tasted and looked like they had been warmed up from day before. Expensive pigeon food. Won't be coming here again

Got take away fish and chips today .. when unwrapped..was all l reheated .. they tried to hide the fish. The batter was hideous and the so called fish was not white inside that batter, took it back and asked them to swap for something else or to try to cook something fresh.. they were not interested.. won't ever go back there again.. and we I've in Benidorm

AVOID!!! Waited 20min and was absolutely disgusting. Well overpriced. Twice cooked chips with thick skins that hold the old old oil they were cooked in. Just the smell knocked me sick. Got steak pie which stated (steak pie) and was full of onions. So told the woman who told me I should of asked if it had onions. Didn't eat any of it but still got charged. Total waste of money. 0/5 stars

When entering the cafe I asked a lady serving ' do they do a small fish and chips?'. The waitress replied ' No , normal' then I asked 'how much?' She she advised 10 euros. Before I was going to make the order she shouted , ' inflation, inflation, inflation - yeah yeah yeah. I walked out , I wasn't prepared to hand over cash to FAT RUDE SCRUBBER !! Do not eat at this venue, definitely go to the corner bar , far better service,food and prices.
