Had their Ultimate Taiwanese noodles and enjoyed it immensely, happy tummy 😁

This place is literally date night for me and my BFF!!! We call this place our calm spot because the soup literally nourishes our soul! Loved it pre pandemic and it’s fine now…Everything is portioned out now, With the sauces servings. My only complaint is that they serve you water in plastic cups and since the soup and the shop is warm, the water in the plastic cups becomes warm too, no problem b/c we asked for extra cups of ice and problem solved. Will always come back for more!!!

I didn't think I'd like hot pot, but this place is so delicious! It's the perfect place to have a fun meal with friends! I like that there's a flame under the bowl to keep the dish warm, but it can get a little too hot! A little pricy but definitely worth it.

One of the best dinners I've had in a while. I got the lamb with medium curry and vermicelli. Atmosphere is decent, service is minimal but overall experience was excellent

The quintessential Taiwanese hot pot place. This place has basically all elements of this type of hot pot. The portions are good if you get #9-12 (the big pots), and if not, you can just supplement with a side of pork, lamb, or beef slices. You can also get boba and ice cream. It's not too expensive for Berkeley, and you can get it to go if you really need to. The hot pot containers are also pretty cool since it keeps your pot hot for so long. The amount of cabbage you get is a bit upsetting, though. Spicy cabbage is pretty good, but when it's a quarter of your bowl, it gets pretty old. And spicy.

Fresh ingredients, tasty soup. Price to quality is great. Price to quantity is excellent. Place is frequented and at this location, you may have to share a table. Other than the busy and crowded atmosphere, their food is great.

we walked into tasty pot thinking it would just be lunch. we walked out feeling like we had stumbled into another universe of flavor. the moment i sat down, the server brought over a bubbling pot that looked alive, steam curling up like it had secrets to tell. the broth smelled so rich it could have been blessed by the gods of umami themselves. thin slices of beef melted into it, mushrooms soaked up the magic, and noodles danced through the heat like they owned the place. by the time i tried my quail eggs, i wasn’t just eating anymore. i was running an experiment in joy and chili oil. the real beauty of it all is how personal it feels. no sharing ladles, no compromise, just you and your broth, figuring each other out. every bite surprised me. i left feeling like my taste buds had just evolved. 10 out of 10 would come back to face my bubbling destiny again. tasty pot, you might actually be the hogwarts of hotpot.

Dined here 10/3/2024 and saw they adjusted their prices, it's now cheaper!! At first we thought they had a promo going on and asked about it. They said they just adjusted the prices as food cost had gone down and easier to hire people now. Also more competition too. Anyways we're happy!! It's so cheap now, lamb pot that I always get is only 14.99 and Sichuan pot when I want spicy is 17.99. Quality remained the same. We will probably visit more frequently now!!

The hot pot is to die for! Especially if you add the chilies sauce, you will be left speechless. The chilies sauce is mild compared to other Asian cuisine. They give you large portions, I had a hard time finishing. Highly recommend Taiwanese supreme spicy hot soup!

Tasty pot is goated, great deal especially if you share a larger pot with someone, love the spicy, great flavors. Taiwanese hot is my favorite.

Standard hot pot place. Milk tea was very nice, although some people at my table said some of the pearls were hard. Standard broth is not vegan, even for the veggie pot, so be mindful of that. One of my friends asked for mushrooms to be removed, but they were included anyways. Overall, pretty good if you're not a picky eater or someone with dietary restrictions.

This is a amazing place, everything is wonderful, service and easy parking. Meat quality was extremely good, although the portions are a bit smaller than other hot pot, probably to pace people, despite that, we were always able to reorder very quickly and the staff didn't seem like they want to slow us down at all. Very good service and good broths, I like this place and you will do the same, trust me.

Great food,nice ambiance specially if it was night time, but it gets busy around that time so lunch prefered. Servers are great but remember depending if its packed or not they do attend to you better at slow days. Food is terrific couldn't ask for more, broth is rich in flavor bold depending which broth since i ordered lamb it was bold flavor but not gamey at all, overall 4 stars and its because the parking is hard to find if you are not going inside a garage.

Menu changed, long lines on a weekend. At least you can put your order in, get it by the time you are seated. Very spicy is too much. Stick with medium. Taiwanese, Japanese and seafood pots are delicious . Too much Napa cabbage though. Good Boba drinks too

We have spice tolerance and the max spicy (極辣）was a comfortable spice level for us. The cheese hot pot was not spicy. Both soups were flavorful and we got it with the glass noodles! Large portions for a good price with a large degree of customization! Service was very quick and efficient. The shop plays great music - my favorite canto and mando pop hits!

I always order #2, the lamb one, because it's really good. It take about an hour to eat there. After maybe 20 minutes of eating, the server will come around and ask you if you would like more broth/water. I recommend getting the extra broth. Sometimes the soup may spill, and the hotpot might be slightly shaky, but that's ok. Once you get home, you may have a small case of stomach upset; i suspect it's from the meat being slightly uncooked. To avoid this, eat the meat last, but you might still have stomach upset. I recommend coming here in a group of less than 5 people, because this is a small restaurant. The atmosphere is very nice as well. Overall, I highly recommend coming to this place.

we waited 45mins outside to eat. they took our orders while we waited so we could eat immediately. nice. once seated, we were served. then 20 mins later we were asked if we were ready to leave. how are we supposed to eat that quickly if the soup is boiling hot? i wouldnt mind if we werent asked TWO MORE TIMES. three times we were asked. we were cordial, quiet, and respectful. by the third time i'd had it. i didnt leave a tip because it wasnt deserved. the food was ok at best, the turnaround was high so it was fresh for sure, but too much imitation seafood and i dont like being rushed when i eat. other people were there longer than i was. no excuses. just get take out, or dont go at all, they clearly dont care either way as long as they have your money.

Its o.k. for the price but I rather go to a tradition real hot pot. If u like small portion and quick give it a try. The only thing I don't like is they are like rushing u to leave. Because not a big place so next!🤭

Really bad service. We came when they just opened in the evening. No one greets us. They finally came to take order but later forgot bring rice and porridge. At the time, 4 employees were doing nothing, they were just standing behind the cashier counter and chit chatting loudly regardless all of us trying to get their attentions. It really ruined our moods and dinner. For this terrible service, I wouldn't come back.

Not a fan I'm afraid! The veggie soup was too bland and never cooked up the veggies nicely on the burner, also the place stinks of the named "stinky tofu" dish (which is NOT an appealing smell) our drinks were forgotten for a long time and generally items seemed overpriced :(

We always go to Fremont when it comes to authentic asian food, but we found this one closer to us so we decided to go here for the first ttime. This one is not authentic Taiwanese pot at all. I travel for food and I have visited many hot pot restaurants around the bay and abroad and this is the second one I go that their pot has not authentic flavor. The cabbage is over chopped , the variety of ingredients is reduced to a few and there are some spicys missing in the soup. Also, they serve you the pot without turning the fire on ... I ended not eating the meat since it never cooked enough... You have to call them for them to turn it on instead of it served already on. The soup flavor was so beefy and so fishy.

Very disappointed in this restaurant, very uneducated staff about service dogs. They asked for papers, then asked if I was mentally disabled, then asked how long we were gonna stay. While eating the staff stood around us the whole time watching us. The server tried taking my food as I was eating, they were obviously trying to get us out. My service dog in training was asleep under the table the whole time. Please educate your staff about the American Disability Act.

THE REVIEWER CAN NO LONGER RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT. RUDE, HOSTILE SERVICE, DIFFICULT ORDERING PROCESS. I came in first several people were waited on ahead of me despite the fact that I ordered first, I got the distinct feeling that non-Chinese people are not welcome here. I supported them strongly when they opened, but I can no longer support them. Also the, " free noodles" option on the menu is no longer free, or they just change that for me I'm going to look into it. Whatever the case, if they don't like the locals they should shut down the restaurant. I'm going to advise that none of my friends go here anymore. After nearly 30 million views, and 2000 reviews of East Bay restaurants, this was the worst experience I've had.

Warning if you are a person of color or African American please do not support this restaurant. Today (10/27/22) my husband entered this restaurant for the first time and was rudely greeted. This waitress refused to smile and she was very blunt when taking my husband’s order. However, shortly after this same waitress was friendly and smiled an European Customer and his friends. Supporting this restaurant is like supporting hatred and racism. Please do not support this restaurant!!!

This restaurant is not worth. First it got my order of vermicelli wrong, and they messed up the level of spicy ness for the pot, not to mention that half of my pot was just cabbage. Instead of changing it, they didn’t do anything. Also, halfway through eating, the waiter brought the bill up directly, which I think is kind of rude.
