Opinions de Tha Siam Thai Bistro Berkeley
The best Thai food on Solano Avenue in Berkeley. I’ve been here half a dozen times in the last two months and the food is always fresh with generous portions.
Delicious food and very nice service. Kids loved it ! We had the chicken fried rice, spring rolls ,green curry and prawns fried rice. Our hostess Kay was very friendly!
Great service, delicious hot fresh food. I highly recommend the tom yum soup and sweet mango sticky rice.
Always a 10/10! Best Thai food in the area and the kindest people.
While staying across the road at the Mariott, I decided to walk around the shopping center and stumbled upon Tha Siam. I pulled up their website while standing outside, and looked at the "Chef's Suggestions" list. I thought the Grilled Short Rib with Garlic Noodle dish sounded good, so I went for it. Everyone inside was extremely friendly to me and polite while I placed my order and waited for a short while. I like my food spicy, but I forgot to say anything about wanting extra heat while ordering. The gentleman at the register said he could include hot sauces for me, and I thanked him. I got my food to go as I planned to walk back to the hotel to eat, but when I opened it 5 minutes later in my room I was not disappointed. The meal was beautifully put together, and it was delicious. I squeezed the orange over the marinated beef, and I added the extra hot sauces: fantastic! I highly recommend trying Tha Siam if you are in the area.
Out. Standing. Kang Panang and Kang Mango with Avocado Rolls; very good value, off the charts flavors, and excellent service. Both of our dishes had enough heat to make your nose run slightly, but completely bearable; this is Thai comfort food. Do yourself a favor: stop reading and start eating.
I love this place try to hit it up every time I am in larkspur. Amazing chicken fried rice
Coconut Shrimp Mango Salad. Fresh, crispy and flavorful. Delicious!
Service was great even the second I came through the door very polite waitress I would recommend this place

loved it. ordered. The yellow curry was very good. I also love the painting on the wall walls. It gave it a nice touch. Also great location on Solano.
Husband and I both had the pad see ewe and a Thai iced tea. We both thought the dish was super flavorful, more so than most other pad see ewe we've had elsewhere. The place was not very crowded on a Thursday evening, so we were in and out very quickly. Service was great! We would be back for sure.

I'd probably give it 3.5 stars based on my meal. I had the lunch special with fresh roll and pad thai noodles with veggies and tofu. The price isn't bad and the portions are huge. The presentation is nice, the carrot flowers are a nice touch, the but there's nothing amazing about the food. The tofu has no flavor, the veggies clearly came from a freezer bag because it was just broccoli, green beans, and crinkle cut carrots. I assume the meat would've been much better, and it seems they have a vegetarian option just for the sake of having it. The pad thai noodles themselves are pretty good though, a little on the sweet side. You can expect $12-$15 a plate for lunch here.
Prawn Pad Thai and a cold Thai lager! The foods authentic and the quality is great for affordable meals. It's a hole in the wall and offers a great menu.
Nice place and nice staff. Food was good but not as good as it was in Bangkok. But its more then good enough for here is US. Highly recommend :)
Had padthai chicken Togo. Not bad. I might have like it more if it was a little bit sour. Owner seems nice.

Delish! Solid Thai food, excellent service, and the unicorn of all dining experiences…a QUIET place to eat and talk with friends! Recommend.
Not my favorite Thai place but it’s good. Tried three kinds of curry (Panang, yellow, and red). The yellow was the best. Add some chicken and it’s great. Deep fried pumpkin also a nice appetizer. I liked it more than the satay which I felt needed a sauce or it’s a little dry. Thru offer brown and white rice. Best dish was pas see ew. Loved that! Next best dish was the crispy chicken in sweet and sour sauce.
Staying at the Marriott and their kitchen was closed 😕 so I was scouting around for good food and I looked at the pictures. After reading the reviews I went anyway the rice was good nothing spectacular and with all the rice that was in that box it came with a total of five (5) shrimp NOT PRAWN I just laughed. Not shocked I didn’t tip either because the owner took my order at a distance, and was not the least bit welcoming and yes I had on a 😷 I ordered prawn spring rolls and I got “Tofu” 🤦🏾 the prawn part was on top of a side salad 😕🤣🤣 the best part of my meal was I asked for NO 🌶 they got that part right and the peanut sauce it tasted like home 😜 $32.60 later I have rice for breakfast the rest was trashed #neveragain 🤣

Wife choked on take out last night. see photo. somebody's earing in curry. gross. and unsafe. and UBER EATS unbelievably does not think this is an issue. Be that as it may how would you feel about choking on somebody's personal jewelry after paying top dollar?

Terrible food, nice staff. The food was SO bland, under spiced and under sauces. Dry and tasteless. Came here with coworkers and our food was brought out at all different times. My coworker was the last to be served by about 10 min after everyone else. My salmon curry didn’t have curry except for little drops so I asked for some curry to go with my curry! It was bland and everyone else said the same thing about their pad Thai, curries, chicken/rice dishes and the tofu special. We won’t be returning. Nice staff people however. If you want AWESOME Thai food, go to R’noh Thai in the town of Larkspur, you won’t be disappointed.
DO NOT get the fried egg rolls! Worst ever. Clearly not house-made. Tasted like a cheap frozen brand. Yuck yuck yuck. Couldn't finish them. Tossed in compost bin. Almost feel sorry for the compost, as I suspect these were loaded with unhealthy additives. If you would like a delicious fried egg roll, try the ones actually made fresh in the kitchen throughout the day at the Chinese restaurant in Point Richmond, now called Jin Ye. (Used to be called Little China. Same cooks and wonderful staff.) The chicken in my salad was dry, overcooked, and looked and tasted like cheap, processed frozen white meat. The salad itself was not fresh, tasty or appealing. Tossed most of it in the compost, too. There probably are good things on the menu since some people here mentioned things they really liked and I did see a few tables occupied, but I sure won't be going back.
