This was so delicious!! The portions are great, the food is spiced perfectly. Some of the best paneer tikka masala i’ve ever had and there was tons of paneer in it. Came with rice as well! Highly recommend this place! 4.5 for service because when we came in no one was out of the kitchen and it took a while to awkwardly figure out how to get their attention. Having a bell someone could ring would fix that immediately though!
Lovely renovations. Quiet atmosphere. A service very kind to our long lunch. Food is delicious but we do miss the old lunch special with rice pudding and chickpeas and chicken curry.
The food was delicious and the atmosphere was upgraded. Our server gave us good information about the spicing of the food and delivered it promptly. We love that this restaurant is on Main Street Middletown, so close to our home.
I love it here but omg I asked for mild and got spicy. This is going to be an interesting night.
I recently picked up some food from Tandoor and was thoroughly impressed with the quality of the food. The delicate combination of spices used in the dishes was truly exceptional, creating a flavor that was both fresh and authentic. Each bite was a delightful explosion of taste, and we loved their food, feeling completely satisfied. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an excellent Indian dining experience.
ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!!! i went to a birthday dinner for my mom and decided to eat here, best decision!!! The chai is the best i’ve ever had i ordered 2 and i had the mutter paneer which i ordered medium and it came perfect with a depth of flavors that made me want to finish the whole dish. They have great portions and service , would 100% be enjoying another dinner here in the near future!!!!
This place is beautiful. The Food is delicious and authentic. The customer service is excellent, feels at home. As well as a very clean environment. Definitely worth a visit, will be coming again!

I get very hesitant to try new places since I do have celiac disease. I spoke to a lady on the phone yesterday. She was phenomenal and let me know all of my options that were safe for me to eat and changed certain ones to make sure that they were safe. Even then, I always get nervous because of the kitchen could have cross-contamination since I’m very sensitive to gluten. I had no reaction that means my food was handled with the absolute best care, which is a huge thing with celiac. I 10 out of 10 recommend moonlight for anyone with gluten allergies or sensitivities. The food was amazing and so was the staff!

I’ve come here for years with friends & family, ect, never have had a bad experience. Occasionally it’s a lil loud but that’s to be expected when a restaurant has great food & service, you want those tables packed. The prices are pretty good, the staff is always accommodating, respectful, & friendly, even if you have a to go order or deliver. They’re so helpful & kind, truly one of my favorite spots in CT!
This is my favorite food spot in middle town. Reasonable prices and they do all the small things like. I had a cool straw in my drink. I love cool straws and tiny umbrellas
Atmosphere was great and the entities were scary! Norman roaming the halls was in a bad mood but Myra was fast on her feet lol there is a game named scary sushi on Roblox that has the same name as this restaurant!!! It’s a must play!!!
Ordered the crab Rangoons and shrimp tempura sushi rolls and it did not disappoint! The price point was also reasonable for the amount of food you got. Staff was super friendly! Credit card accepted and parking is offered around back!
Our hibachi chef was not only incredibly skilled but also an entertainer at heart. The food itself was nothing short of spectacular. What really set Moonlight apart, though, was the impeccable service. The staff was attentive, friendly, and eager to ensure we had the best experience possible. From the moment we were seated to the minute we left they ensured we were taken care of. Kudos to Moonlight! Not many restaurants nowadays offer the type of service they do
Had the best experience for my mom’s birthday tonight at this place. We had hibachi and sushi and everything was delicious!!! The wait staff went above and beyond to make it special and we had the best time. We definitely will be returning again!!!
I came here with my friend the other day. I honestly didn’t have high expectations because a lot of restaurants left me feeling disappointed. But, this place is so good!! The food actually has flavor. I ordered some beef skewers with teriyaki sauce. So good. So flavorful. I also got shrimp tempura rolls. It’s soo good! My friend loved her food as well. The staff there are very nice. The place has a nice vibe. We both had a great time.

Surprisingly good sushi on Main Street in Middletown. We got a variety of rolls from their copious menu. They were all delicious, as was the edamame. The ambiance is a little weird, with a lot of blue light and too much air conditioning. But go for the food, not the decor. You'll get a good meal.

If I were to rate everything I had at this place this what I would do: Mushroom miso soup: 9/10 Spicy Tuna roll(extra option): 10/10 Fried rice: 9/10 Filet Mignon: 10/10 Shrimp: 10/10 Veggies: 9/10 Fried Ice Cream: 10/10 The experience that we had with this place was awesome! The appetizers came out fast and soon later, so did the main courses. Our chef was energetic and our waitress was nice. The atmosphere was very nice and not too flashy. I highly recommend that you go to this place for habachi. Only complaint is that it was a little pricey.
Amazing sushi for great prices. Recommend for sure. Affordable and fresh. Great atmosphere. They also have little private rooms where you can sit on the floor around a low table. Also have a hibachi area.
They used to serve their meals with boneless chicken. Normally I appreciate authenticity, but this just leads to biting down on tiny bones and having to fish them out. Just unnecessary. Absolutely delicious though.
Their combo menu is worth the money. It’s like 10 bucks for a person. I heard they had a buffet. Due to covid they no longer have it. But soon probably they will open it again.
Excellent food. Bummed they didn’t have the lunch buffet but food was wonderfully delicious. It was nice to be able to try a number of different things. Prompt and friendly service. Nice atmosphere and great location on Main St.
Spice mixture was outstanding; very flavorful without being overpowering. Service was excellent (we did go there at a non-busy time). I would definitely go there again.
So I did place this order to go and when I picked it up in the 20 minutes as promised, it was nice and warm. The young lady who took my order was very nice both on the phone and when I picked it up. The medium spice level did not burn my taste buds thank God. The chicken was tender however the only concern I have is that the curry “sauce” was on the watery side as pictured vs. pasty how I would have preferred. I do believe that you could probably find a more economically friendly menu however I’m not complaining because the portion size is appropriate.
Great atmosphere and service. I got the vegetable pakora as an appetizer and it was delicious. I also got the chicken vindaloo (medium spice) and it was also great. Just spicy enough to make my nose runny. Chicken was decent quality. Garlic Naan was not flavorful enough in my opinion but well cooked. Overall, a lovely place.
Super bummed with my takeout butter chicken order from yesterday evening. The chicken was all uniformly sized pieces- very very similar to those bags of frozen and sliced grilled chicken from a bulk food club- The kind sub restaurants put on their chicken Caesar salad.
The chicken tikka masala tasted like a bag of sugar was dumped into the pot… why was it so sweet?? Felt my blood sugar spike instantly, would send someone into diabetic shock! Please taste your curry before packaging it for take out….yikes. One piece of tandoori chicken was juicy and flavorful and the other one was extremely burnt and hard/dry inside. Not worth the price if we get half the quality. The only thing tasty was the goat curry. Excellent flavor, had I only ordered that I would’ve given them 5 stars. They need to check the food’s flavor and quality before sending it out of the kitchen.
Simply coming here to give all a warning. I was looking for Sushi in middletown, I've had Mikado's and Haichi and wanted to try a new place, my mistake. Sushi was lukewarm. 3 rolls crammed into one container. The beef on the stick, everywhere I've gone in my life, you get 4 sticks, here, two small ones. For 50$ spent , you'd think they'd give you two sets of chop sticks, and more than one little container of soy sauce, nope. Underwhelmed and disappointed, one and done for this sushi destination.
I took my kids here for their first Hibachi experience. Unfortunately the cook was very unenthused, didn’t really engage with anyone at the table. Overall not a very entertaining “show”, which was disappointing for my kids. The food was ok, steak a little over cooked for medium rare. I don’t think I would choose this place again for Hibachi. I think they need to step it up a bit.
Food was not all that good had better was disappointing I wish it was good! Only one cook for whole place service was so so slow cost way to much too nightmare!!!
I ordered golgappe/fuchka from appetizers. I paid over 30 dollars for this with delivery and tip and I thought I got incomplete order so I called the restaurant and they told me they don’t serve the spicy water that golgappe comes with! It’s only potato filling and sweet chutney. Excuse me!!?? How are you guys fooling people in America by serving nontraditional disgusting so-called Indian food is beyond me. It’s not even complete. The manager never called me back neither came to phone. In fact when I called him, he never picked my phone. This is after calling him multiple times. So Mr Ali, I hope you and your restaurant fail soon! Shame on you for feeding people disgusting food and fooling everyone with such horrible incomplete food as Indian food. Please stop going to this restaurant! If they can’t make something as simple as golgappe right, I don’t trust any other food from them. Also, I have a question from the staff member who picked up my phone , being an Indian how do you guys not question the authenticity of Indian food in that restaurant? Shame on you guys too.
Everytime I eat here the food messes up my stomach. Rice tasted old and freezer burnt. Chicken had barely any meat and workers were rude as hell.
I place an order in Uber eats on the Name of Mohammed. This is my first order in this restaurant. I place butter chicken ×2, the quantity was very less than the box, and in my life i ate worst butter chicken today. Basically I'm from Bangladesh but I love indian food, but today i lose the interest on it. I recommend no one to go there. Thank you.
Ordered takeout in person for lunch Lamb korma and chicken tiki masala and vegetable samosas and two orders of naan. It was about 2 in the afternoon a few people dining (5/6) not terribly busy. The host who I ordered with was pleasant, said would be about 20 minutes. I came back about 20 minutes and my food was already waiting for me. The lamb was mild and okay, the samosas were actually pretty good. The chicken tried a piece and couldn’t eat it, we moved the sauce to find THE CHICKEN COMPLETELY RAW!! Absolutely inedible, every piece. I understand things happen and if it gets busy etc but this was completely unacceptable. Will not be back nor my coworkers in town.
Every aspect of this meal was soaked in soy sauce. A lot of better hibachi places in the area. Would not go back here, especially because of the extreme pricing too.
Went here for sushi and left with disappointment on the service and food quality. The pork dumplings that were ordered tasted frozen and fried immediately leaving them feeling and tasting watery inside. The sushi for two was very poor and were made poorly, tasting as though were left for a bit too long waiting to be brought to the table, the soup was the best part of the meal but was out shown by the lack of quality of the rest of the time here. The plating of the sushi boat seemed to have rust on the bolts holding it together. My partner had something sharp and hard in her sealed drink while drinking up their Boba tea.
Can you add any more broccoli to make up for the fact you have me 4 shrimp in my order??!!! Move along if it's not for sushi. Ridiculous way to price gouge your customers. By the way. Shrimp is rubber...
