Opinions de La Dolce Vita Beverly Hills
La Dolce Vita is such a hidden gem! The restaurant is small and intimate, with a dark, cozy ambiance that feels both classy and full of rich history. It has that elegant charm without being over the top. The food was absolutely delicious, and every dish tasted great &well-prepared. On top of that, the service was outstanding—warm, attentive, and truly made the experience even better. If you’re looking for a cozy yet elegant spot with amazing food and service, Dolce Vita is a must-visit.
My new favorite! I love the old-world atmosphere. The lasagne and veal parmigiana are to die for, and we also loved the spumoni for dessert. The service was spectacular—can’t wait to go back!
Had a girls night out planned and La Dolce Vita was mentioned as a spot we should go for dinner. I’m really happy we ended up here! Reservations are required, make them plenty early as we were left with 5:30 as the only open time and we booked about a week ahead of time. The ambiance and decor are fantastic! It’s so homey, old school Hollywood vibes oozing from every corner. The waiters are dressed in suits and ours was fantastic. Extremely attentive, he suggested a great wine, and overall made our experience so nice. The food was excellent. Spaghetti and meatballs 🤤 worthy. Caesar salad was perfection, dressing was soooo good! My girlfriends loved the veal parm too, it’s just not my jam so can’t speak to it first hand but they did eat a ton 😆. Dessert excellent too. I definitely recommend for a special evening out. It’s expensive so not somewhere I’ll frequent often. That said, if I could (💵), I totally would. Divertirsi!!
I’ve been a patron of La Dolce Vita for a decade and I am loving what the new owners have done with it! They’ve brought a refreshed and vibrant glamour to a historic place that serves classic dishes. I recommend you order a few apps to share and I am a fan of their fish—you can’t go wrong with a Branzino!
Absolutely amazing, show stopping, incredible. The name is perfectly fitting with all the leopard print and velvet decor. This is surely my new favorite restaurant in Beverly Hills. The wait staff seem like they majored in the service industry. If you want to impress out of towners, your parents, a date, or just want to be surrounded by people straight out of magazines this is the place. The food not to mention is divine and worth every penny. Especially the tuna tartare, the pastas, and the spumoni. The cocktails were perfect too.
Happy to return to this institution especially now with the new management. Food is beyond amazing and the service is excellent. It felt amazing to see this place alive and well. Food was tasty and I highly recommend the table side Cesar salad and the meatball spaghetti! Will absolutely return!
I have known about La Dolce Vita for quite some time given that it was a former frequent stop for Frank Sinatra and many other Golden Age of Hollywood celebrities. I work very close to the unassuming building so I have been driving by it for many months but finally got the opportunity on Saturday to stop in for dinner. As mentioned the restaurant is very unassuming from the outside, I didn’t even know it was a restaurant until I paid attention to the small sign out front. Inside is a different story though, it has old world charm and is filled with dark red booths, low lighting, and is complete with a classic East Coast style bar in the front corner. Our server and the rest of the staff we encountered were very polite and all of our items arrived quickly from the kitchen. They don’t have a dedicated parking lot, however street parking is easy to find in this part of Beverly Hills or at worst there are a few expensive parking garages close by as well. All of our dishes were fantastic. We started off with the Shrimp Fra Diavolo, which is prawns cooked in a delicious marinara, and the Clams Oreganata, which are Littleneck clams baked with bread crumbs on top. The clams were warm and tasty and although not many in number, the flavors were truly great. For our entrees we chose the Branzino Piccata, this was my favorite dish of the night mainly because of the piccata sauce and how well the fish was cooked, and the Lemon Bucatini, which was light and packed with lemon flavor. It was a great summer dish. Overall a wonderful classic Italian dinner in a beautiful part of town. We both had a great experience and would recommend to anyone for any occasion although it would be especially a great call for a date or business dinner location.
You step back in time when you enter La Dolce Vita. Classic Italian from the menu to the decor. Highly recommend.
So great to be back at this iconic Frank Sinatra haunt. Menu, service, and ambiance has all been improved under new ownership. It’s now a hot spot!
It's intimate. It's dark. It's romantic and consistently good Italian food!

Food and drinks are always the best. Even the bread is great. Chris the manager really takes care of you. Bri is easily the kindest server of them all. There is a waitress woman with long brown hair who isn’t the nicest server at all, but, experience overall here is always very nice. Don’t let them put you in that random middle table though lol. Thanks LDV for a lovely experience every time. One of my top restaurants in Los Angeles hands down.
We loved everything about our experience here. Definitely has old world charm and they do a great job in a very small and intimidate space. The Caesar is perfect and for those that don't like anchovies the dish still works perfectly. We shared the pork chop which was huge and cooked rare enough to be the best temperature for pork. The Som Gabriel made excellent suggestions throughout our meal which ended magically with an Amaro and chocolate tart. We can't wait to go back and taste the veal parm which looked incredible and already drawing me back.
Pastry chef is Janet Jackson - Nasty with it. Cheesecake was really freaky. Service with Richie was insane (complimentary). Veal is pounded too thin. Will be back every week. Dinner went crazy. Service was immaculate. Richie for president

our server, Shane, was wonderful. truly, some of the best Pomodoro pasta I have ever had. It was also nice to be served a really delicious hearty Caesar salad, since we did family style and my sister is the least adventurous eater in existence, Those were her favorites. The tables favorite (mine) was the branding. Chefs kiss- literally, I Believe we ordered five total. Just a really nice beautiful night all together, We started the day with the Getty. It was just a really lovely Wednesday through and through. will Absolutely come back next time we can afford to
Overall have a classy, vintage Hollywood vibe. Need reservation. Have fun looking cocktails. Price is on par with typical sit in, nice Italian restaurants which was a pleasant surprise. Service was good and professional. A lot of older couples and locals, some families and tourists. Could see it being a nice date spot
Ok so the food was actually delicious here! Was completely blown away by that as I didn’t know what to expect, but it was actually Michelin level nostalgic flavours. The service was very kind and attentive, and the decor has that cute old school Hollywood glam charm too. That said, some of the tables are quite cramped and you feel like you’re sitting with strangers. It is an old awkward building, but if they could make just a few tweaks to the setup and think about the customer experience at each table I think they it would really just take them to the next level of 5 star dining.
The EDDC kicked off 2024 at La Dolce Vita in Beverly Hills. Not a very large space but the three of us fit comfortably at a small table/booth. Ambiance was a little dark for our late night repast but well attended by a diverse and talented crowd. We started things off with a negroni, chocolate martini, and a 50-50 martini along with the mozzarella di buffala and the shrimp fra diabola. The blue prawns were cooked perfectly with just the right amount of heat from the calabrian chili. Drinks were sturdy and the 50-50 side car was a nice touch. A caesar salad prepared table side was next followed by main dishes including spaghetti and meatballs along with the bone-in veal parmesana. The veal was delectable and overshadowed the spaghetti despite the later being impressive in it's own right. We ended the night with a neopolitan style dessert balanced between pistachio, chocolate and cherry gelato. Overall, a solid start to 2024 and an enjoyable night out at an aspirant for top Italian restaurant of the year.

We booked several weeks in advance for my daughter’s birthday dinner. The wait staff are all very pleasant and friendly, if largely absent, the room is fairly small but the booths looked comfortable. I certainly didn’t come out to dinner in Beverly Hills and expect a bargain on food pricing but one thing stood out and caused me to write this review. After our 2 course dinner and a bottle of quite decent wine, the waitress asked as it is a birthday, would you like some desert? 99 times out of 100 this is a gesture on the part of the restaurant and offered at no charge. We agreed to the suggested chocolate tart which arrived with 1 candle coming out of the smallest, hardest tart I have ever had. This was that 1 time as the tart was neatly waiting at the bottom of our bill at $18. If you need the money that bad, I wish you luck but you won’t be getting any more of it from me.

This is an LA staple that got revamped and missed. Thinnest / driest/ worst Veal Parmesan I’ve ever had that was $100. Service is not the best here at all. Not going to make you feel good or like family leaving here at all. Management nonexistent. Highly overpriced. Go anywhere else just close by there are amazing restaurants. Dan Tana’s, Funke LA, Jon & Vinny’s, Steak48, Honor Bar, Il Pastio, and so many actually amazing restaurants just walking distance. Save yourself the trip and money.

In over 20 years of dining out, this is the first restaurant I’ve experienced that doesn’t offer even a small slice of cake for a birthday reservation. For a family celebration, this felt disappointing. If the owner is reading this, I strongly recommend offering a simple dessert—even something under $5 with a candle. Small gestures like this go a long way in making customers feel valued. Unfortunately, due to this lack of attention to detail, I won’t be returning.
My boyfriend and I had a reservation at 6:00pm we were running late! We called and told them we will be there in 5 min they said it’s past the 15 min grace period and that they will need the table back by 7:30. We walked in at 6:20 it was dark only two tables occupied. From the moment we entered to the moment we left we were rushed! The place lacks any authenticity, any charm. The staff was not friendly at all. We ordered the Caesar salad, baked clams and eggplant with mozzarella they all came at once which was overwhelming to eat. We then ordered the linguine limone with caviar it was good. At 7:30 on the dot we were told they need the table. Overall the experience was not pleasant at all and definitely not worth visiting.
