A wonderful, completely unexpected surprise at the Caffetteria della Piscina in the Mercatone area. Excellent Vergnano blend coffee, €1 (other prices are unacceptable), in direct competition with the other excellent Trieste blend, smooth and dense. The staff is helpful and friendly. Recommended!

Bar in centro a Biella attaccato alla piscina comunale. C'e' un dehor che da' sulla strada. Il caffe' e' buono poiche' Vergnano. Il problema e' l'umidita' della piscina e l'odore di cloro.

Ottima esperienza , menù ampio , grande scelta di insalate e panini . Ho mangiato un hamburger di manzo molto buono . Personale molto gentile .

Don't go there early in the morning! The morning lady will let the loudest and most bossy person go first. I stood at the bar in front of her for a few minutes, then moved to the tables... I was invisible to her for 10 minutes... and the place was far from full. I went to another bar where I was immediately greeted with a hello.

I'm a foreigner, and when I came to this bar with an Italian, they gave us a coffee with a biscuit. It was a nice touch. Today, I came alone, and the girl gave me a coffee without a biscuit. I thought, "Maybe the rules have changed," but a minute later, they gave an Italian woman a cup of coffee WITH a biscuit. So, at the cashier, I said, "This time, the coffee was without a biscuit...", giving them a chance to react (maybe the barista forgot it, or was tired, and it slipped her mind). Anything could happen. Or, if the biscuit isn't included, the price changes. But no, the price stays the same. And instead of apologizing for the fact that I felt bad about being treated differently than other customers, the cashier says, "Do you want a biscuit?" and throws one on the counter! Even though I was close to the house, and I'd already finished my coffee anyway. Do you understand? Coffee is still €1.20, and they treat biscuits like dogs. If you're nice enough for them, you'll get that appreciation. With this throw against the wall, he confirmed that it was not a mistake, but a poorly contained hatred.

I returned after a pleasant and speedy lunch to repeat the wonderful experience. I requested the same dish I'd ordered the week before. There were some misunderstandings, and since I have dietary restrictions, I had to send it back, explaining that it wasn't what I'd ordered. They promptly remade the dish. When it came time to get the bill, the absurdity struck: a piadina filled with salad was sold for 7 euros, whereas the week before I'd paid 4 euros. Not only did they mock me when it came to the bill, but when I asked for an explanation, they told me that the price was exactly that. It was a complete scam. At this point, they could have avoided the false politeness and told me I'd also have to pay for the returned dish, so I could have had it packaged and taken home. After this little prank, they'll NEVER see me again. What a shame!
